In this paper we consider a nonlocal evolution equation in one dimension, which describes the dynamics of a ferromagnetic system in the mean field approximation. In the presence of a small magnetic field, it admits two stationary and homogeneous solutions, representing the stable and metastable phases of the physical system. We prove the existence of an invariant, one dimensional manifold connecting the stable and metastable phases. This is the unstable manifold of a distinguished, spatially nonhomogeneous, stationary solution, called the critical droplet.(4, 10) We show that the points on the manifold are droplets longer or shorter than the critical one, and that their motion is very slow in agreement with the theory of metastable patterns. We also obtain a new proof of the existence of the critical droplet, which is supplied with a local uniqueness result. 相似文献

Fractional action cosmology with variable order parameter was constructed in this paper. Starting from a fractional weighted action which generalizes the fractional actionlike variational approach, a large number of cosmological dynamical equations are obtained depending on the mathematical type of the fractional order parameter. Through this paper, we selected two independent types which result on a number of cosmological scenarios and we discussed their dynamical consequences. It was observed that the present fractional cosmological formalism holds a large family of solutions and offers new features not found in the standard formalism and in many fundamental research papers. 相似文献

Collective synchronization is investigated on the small-world network (NW model). The order parameter is introduced to measure the synchronization of phase. It is found that there are differences between the processes of synchronization and desynchronization. The dependence of order parameter on the coupling strength is shown like a hysteresis loop. The size of the loop demonstrates the non-monotonicity with the change of adding probability, and is relevant to the construction of the network. The area may be maximum, as the adding probability is equal to 0.4. This phenomenon indicates that the clusters in the network play an important role in the processes of synchronization and desynchronization. 相似文献

interaction is dominated by the instantaneous Coulomb forces, which are of the order ɛ2. The magnetic fields and first order retardation generate the Darwin correction of the order ɛ3. Radiation damping would be of the order ɛ7/2.

We provide a connection between Brownian motion and a classical mechanical system. Precisely, we consider a system of one massive particle interacting with an ideal gas, evolved according to non-random mechanical principles, via interaction potentials, without any assumption requiring that the initial velocities of the environmental particles should be restricted to be “fast enough”. We prove the convergence of the (position, velocity)-process of the massive particle under a certain scaling limit, such that the mass of the environmental particles converges to 0 while the density and the velocities of them go to infinity, and give the precise expression of the limiting process, a diffusion process. 相似文献

An outstanding problem in statistical mechanics is the order parameter of the chiral Potts model. An elegant conjecture for this was made in 1983. It has since been successfully tested against series expansions, but there is as yet no proof of the conjecture. Here we show that if one makes a certain analyticity assumption similar to that used to derive the free energy, then one can indeed verify the conjecture. The method is based on the ‘‘broken rapidity line’’ approach pioneered by Jimbo et al. (J. Phys. A 26:2199--2210 (1993).). 相似文献

Following an idea of van Enter and Griffiths, we define a self-averaging parameter for the Sherrington-Kirkpatrick (SK) spin glass which is a self-averaging version of the order parameter introduced by Aizenman, Lebowitz and Ruelle. It is strictly positive at low temperature and zero at sufficiently high temperature. The proof is based on the recent construction of the thermodynamic limit of the free energy by Guerra and Toninelli. We propose a microscopic approach to the study of phase transitions in fluid mixtures. It is based on the collective variables method with a reference system. The problem of definition of the order parameter in a two-component fluid system is considered in detail. This system is described with two sets of collective variables:
k and k. It is shown that the CV connected with the order parameter is k=0 in the case of a gas–liquid critical point as well as in the case of a mixing–demixing phase transition. The relations between the microscopic parameters, temperature, density and concentration which determine the particular form of 0 for each of these phenomena are obtained. Based on these results we will be able to construct an effective Ginsburg–Landau–Wilson Hamiltonian. 相似文献

We derive the first four terms in a series for the order paramater (the stationary activity density ) in the supercritical regime of a one-dimensional stochastic sandpile; in the two-dimensional case the first three terms are reported. This is done by reorganizing the pertubation theory derived using a path-integral formalism [Dickman and Vidigal, J. Phys. A 35, 7269 (2002)], to obtain an expansion for stationary properties. Since the process has a strictly conserved particle density p, the Fourier mode N-1 k=0 p, when N , and so is not a random variable. Isolating this mode, we obtain a new effective action leading to an expansion for in the parameter 1/(1+4p). This requires enumeration and numerical evaluation of more than 200,000 diagrams, for which task we develop a computational algorithm. Predictions derived from this series are in good accord with simulation results. We also discuss the nature of correlation functions and one-site reduced distributions in the small- (high-density) limit. 相似文献

H-type motion platform with linear motors is widely used in two-degrees-of-freedom motion systems, and one-direction dual motors need to be precisely controlled with strict synchronization for high precision performance. In this paper, a synchronous control method based on model decoupling is proposed. The dynamic model of an H-type air floating motion platform is established and one direction control using two motors with position dependency coupling is decoupled and converted into independent position and rotation controls, separately. For the low damping second-order oscillation system of the rotation control loop, a new fractional order biquad filtering method is proposed to generate an antiresonance peak to improve the phase and control gain of the open loop system, which can ensure system stability and quick attenuation for external disturbances. In the multiple-degree-of-freedom decoupled control loops, a systematic feedback controller design methodology is proposed to satisfy the given frequency domain design specifications; a feed-forward control strategy is also applied to compensate the disturbance torque caused by the platform motion. The simulation and experimental results demonstrate that the proposed synchronization control method is effective, and achieves better disturbance rejection performance than the existing optimal cancellation filtering method and biquad filtering method. 相似文献
