Neutron scattering is used to probe antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations in the d-wave heavy fermion superconductor CeCoIn5 (T_(c)=2.3 K). Superconductivity develops from a state with slow (variant Planck's over 2piGamma=0.3+/-0.15 meV) commensurate [Q_(0)=(1/2,1/2,1/2)] antiferromagnetic spin fluctuations and nearly isotropic spin correlations. The characteristic wave vector in CeCoIn5 is the same as CeIn3 but differs from the incommensurate wave vector measured in antiferromagnetically ordered CeRhIn5. A sharp spin resonance (variant Planck's over 2piGamma<0.07 meV) at variant Planck's over 2piomega=0.60+/-0.03 meV develops in the superconducting state removing spectral weight from low-energy transfers. The presence of a resonance peak is indicative of strong coupling between f-electron magnetism and superconductivity and consistent with a d-wave gap order parameter satisfying Delta(q+Q0)=-Delta(q).  相似文献

We present an ultrahigh-precision numerical study of the spectrum of multifractal exponents Deltaq characterizing anomalous scaling of wave function moments |psi|2q at the quantum Hall transition. The result reads Deltaq=2q(1-q)[b0+b1(q-1/2)2+cdots, three dots, centered], with b0=0.1291+/-0.0002 and b1=0.0029+/-0.0003. The central finding is that the spectrum is not exactly parabolic: b1 not equal0. This rules out a class of theories of the Wess-Zumino-Witten type proposed recently as possible conformal field theories of the quantum Hall critical point.  相似文献

The possibility of the formation of centered shock waves in collapsing gas bubbles under the conditions of acoustic cavitation is considered. In this case, the overturning of the front of compression waves occurs at the instant the waves reach the center of the cavitation bubble, resulting in the highest possible temperatures and pressures inside the bubble. Examination of the magnetohydrodynamic equations has shown that the law of the motion of the wall of a bubble at the final stage of compression, described by the Rayleigh–Plesset equation, has a universal form and coincides with the condition of the formation of a spherically symmetric centered shock wave with the adiabatic constant = 5/3. For < 5/3, the collapse of a bubble occurs within a shorter time than it takes for a spherically symmetric centered shock wave to form. In this case, the overturning of the front of compression waves occurs earlier than they reach the center of the bubble, and shock waves are formed inside the bubble at different points. The most appropriate condition for the detection of centered shock waves is the cavitation in cryogenic fluids, such as helium, for which 5/3.  相似文献

The discrete Ginzburg-Landau model for a family of oscillators linearly coupled with their first neighbors is studied. The full linear stability analysis of the nonlinear plane wave solutions is performed by considering both the wave number (k) of the basic states and the wave number (q) of the perturbations as free parameters. Assuming that the Raman gain profile of silica fiber is a triangular function, we derive analytic solutions of N-channel steady-state forward SRS coupling wave equation with equal (but arbitrary) channel spacing. Considering the SRS cross coupling among N-channels, the analytic solutions are applicable to arbitrary signal light power. The results point out that the sequence mi=pi(z)/pi(0) [pi(z) and pi(0) is the power of signal light of i-th channel at transmission length z and 0, respectively. i=1,2,...N] maintains a geometric progression with the common ratio q in the transmission process. The common ratio q varies as a exponential function of the effective transmission length, the sum of input light power and the channel spacing, respectively.  相似文献

We prove that the Mellin transform of a function log-concave (convex) is, after division by (+1), where is the argument of the transform, itself log-concave (convex) in . This theorem is first applied to the moments of the ground state wave function of the Schrödinger equation where the Laplacian of the central potential has a given sign, and generalized to other situations. This is used to derive inequalities linking thel th derivative of the ground state wave function at the origin for angular momentuml and the expectation value of the kinetic energy, and applied to quarkonium physics. A generalization to higher radial excitations is shown to be plausible by using the WKB approximation. Finally, new bounds on ground-state energies in power potentials are obtained.  相似文献

Under the travelling wave transformation, some nonlinear partial differential equations such as Camassa-Holm equation, High-order KdV equation, etc., are reduced to an integrable ODE expressed by u" +p(u)(u')^2 + q(u) = 0 whose generai solution can be given. Furthermore, combining complete discrimination system for polynomiai, the classifications of all single travelling wave solutions to these equations are obtained. The equation u"+p(u)(u')^2+q(u) = 0 includes the equation (u')^2 = f(u) as a special case, so the proposed method can be also applied to a large number of nonlinear equations. We study the rotation of the polarization plane of an electromagnetic wave due to a gravitational field. An evolution law for the polarization plane is derived in the geometric optics approximation. For the particular case of a Kerr space-time, we obtain the polarization plane rotation for an incident light ray parallel to the Z axis at z = - and for a radially outgoing one. The results are compared with others which have already appeared in the literature.  相似文献

We study here the properties of some quantum mechanical wave functions, which, in contrast to the regular quantum mechanical wave functions, can be predetermined with certainty (probability 1) by performing dense measurements (or continuous observations). These specific certain states are the junction points through which pass all the diverse paths that can proceed between each two such neighboring sure points. When we compare the properties of these points to the properties of the well-known universal wave functions of Everett we find a strong similarity between these two apparently uncorrelated entities, and in this way find the same similarity between the Feynman path integrals and Everett's universal wave functions.  相似文献

We develop a theory for the renormalization of the phonon energy dispersion in graphene due to the combined effects of both Coulomb and electron-phonon (e-ph) interactions. We obtain the renormalized phonon energy spectrum by an exact analytic derivation of the phonon self-energy, finding three distinct Kohn anomalies (KAs) at the phonon wave vector q=omega/v, 2k_{F}+/-omega/v for LO phonons and one at q=omega/v for TO phonons. The presence of these new KAs in graphene, in contrast to the usual KA q=2k_{F} in ordinary metals, originates from the dynamical screening of e-ph interaction (with a concomitant breakdown of the Born-Oppenheimer approximation) and the peculiar chirality of the graphene e-ph coupling.  相似文献

By means of variable separation approach, quite a general excitation of the new (2 + 1)-dimensional long dispersive wave system: λqt + qxx - 2q ∫ (qr)xdy = 0, λrt - rxx + 2r ∫(qr)xdy = 0, is derived. Some types of the usual localized excitations such as dromions, lumps, rings, and oscillating soliton excitations can be easily constructed by selecting the arbitrary functions appropriately. Besides these usual localized structures, some new localized excitations like fractal-dromion, farctal-lump, and multi-peakon excitations of this new system are found by selecting appropriate functions.  相似文献

Transient processes of laser ablation of a highly laser-absorbing liquid, toluene, were investigated by directly measuring (by using a fast-response pressure gauge) the transient pressure caused by toluene ablation under KrF laser irradiation . The results were compared with time-resolved images . The peak pressure P due to a shock wave decreased slowly with increasing distance d for d=100–1000 m:Pd-0.33. By extrapolating P to d=8.9 m, the optical penetration depth of toluene at =248 nm, the estimated initial pressure due to toluene ablation was 65 MPa at 1.0 J cm-2 pulse-1. The estimated initial pressure increased linearly with the fluence. These results help clarify the mechanism of laser-induced backside wet etching. For the uniform donor distribution we have theoretically investigated the influence of the separation between the adjacent two doping layers on the electronic structure of the triple Si -doped GaAs, at T=0 K. To find the subband structure of the triple -doped quantum well we have solved self-consistently both Schrödinger and Poisson equations. From our calculations, we have seen that the electronic properties of triple Si -doped GaAs structure depend strongly on the spacer thickness between the adjacent two doping layers. In this study, we can estimate that the mobility in closely spaced triple -doped GaAs structures is very high compared to single -doped structures because of the overlap between the electron wave function and the ionized scattering centres in single -doped structures. The behavior of point defects (interstitial atoms and vacancies) is examined in the front of a plane shock wave. The wave is modeled by a soliton pulse. It is shown that in high-pressure shock waves with a narrow loading wave front an unactivated motion of the point defects is possible, and for a pressure Po 50 GPa and xo 10–8 m, a dragging of the interstitial atoms by the front of the shock wave can be observed. The vacancies are displaced in the field of the shock pulse in the opposite direction to the motion of the pulse. A 59Co NMR study of CoO2, the x=0 end member of AxCoO2 (A=Na,Li,...) cobaltates, reveals a metallic ground state, though with clear signs of strong electron correlations: low-energy spin fluctuations develop at wave vectors q not equal to 0 and a crossover to a Fermi-liquid regime occurs below a characteristic temperature T* approximately 7 K. Despite some uncertainty over the exact cobalt oxidation state in this material, the results show that electronic correlations are revealed as x is reduced below 0.3. The data are consistent with NaxCoO2 being close to the Mott transition in the x-->0 limit.  相似文献

By using the partial wave method,we investigate the absorption of a massless scalar wave from a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by quintessence.We obtained the expression of absorption cross section σabs(ω)=π/ω2sum from l=0 to ∞(2l+1)|Tωl(ω)|2=π/ω2sum from l=0 to ∞(2l+1)Γωl(ω).Then we numerically carry out the absorption cross section and we find that the larger the angular momentum quantum number l is,the smaller the corresponding maximum value of the partial absorption cross section is,and that the total absorption cross section tends to the geometric-optical limit σ hf abs ≈πb 2 c.We also find that higher value of ω q(state parameter of quintessence) corresponds to the higher value of absorption cross section σ abs.  相似文献

Based on the numeric solution of a system of coupled channels for vector mesons (S-and D-waves mixing)and for tensor mesons (P- and F- waves mixing) mass spectrum and wave functions of a family of vector mesons q in triplet states a e obtained. The calculations are performed using a well-known Cornell potential with a mixed Lorentz- structure of the confinement term. The spin-dependent part of the potential is taken from the Breit-Fermi approach.The effect of irregular terms of the potential is considered within the framework of the perturbation theory and/or of the configuration interaction approach, modified for a system of coupled equations. It is shown that even a small integral contribution of the D-wave to the total wave function of q system is very impotant for the calculation of certain characteristics of the meson states.  相似文献

We fitted C(k,tau,epsilon) proportional to exp([-sigma(k,epsilon)tau] to time-correlation functions C(k,tau,epsilon) of structure factors S(k,t,epsilon) of shadowgraph images of fluctuations below a supercritical bifurcation at V(0)=V(c) to electroconvection of a planar nematic liquid crystal in the presence of a voltage V=sqrt[2]V(0)cos((2pift) [k=(p,q) is the wave vector and epsilon identical with V(2)(0)/V(2)(c)-1]. There were stationary oblique (normal) rolls at small (large) f. Fits of a modified Swift-Hohenberg form to sigma(k,epsilon) gave f-dependent critical behavior for the minimum decay rates sigma(0)(epsilon) and the correlation lengths xi(p,q)(epsilon).  相似文献

The problem of the propagation of a perturbation in a thin rod is solved using the dynamic gauge theory of crystalline media with dislocations. When a shock is applied to the rod an elastic forerunner is generated with propagates with a velocity of (where E is Young's modulus and is the density of the medium) and, in addition, unclamping of the end of the rod occurs. Depending on the parameters of the medium, this unclamping may take the form of both purely viscous flow and wave flow.
