Phase conjugate injection locking is shown to couple coherently two semiconductor lasers through a double phase conjugate mirror geometry. The mutual coherence and stability of the lock band are characterized from the visibility and relative intensity noise measurements for various levels of phase conjugate coupling and frequency detunings. Side mode phase conjugate injection locking is demonstrated by high mutual coherence with visibility 0.93 and detunings up to nine longitudinal mode spacings at injection levels of −22 dB. Central mode phase conjugate injection locking with high mutual coherence is also possible for feedback levels of −36 dB and exhibiting an asymmetric stable locking region of 350 MHz bandwidth within the locking band. The phase locking is unstable though, the reasons for which are discussed. Increased phase conjugate feedback extends the lock band to greater detunings and asymmetry as in direct injection locking with only a small region showing high mutual coherence. Intensity noise measurements are also discussed. 相似文献

基于Cu∶KNSBN晶体的自泵浦相位共轭实验,研究了光折变晶体的几何结构对自泵浦相位共轭特性的影响,得到在入射角不变的情况下,随着入射位置的变化相位共轭光输出有最大值,几何结构不同最大值输出对应的位置不同.并从理论上分析了晶体结构在双作用区自泵浦相位共轭机制中的作用,指出几何结构、入射位置与自泵浦光通道、耦合系数的关系及在自泵浦相位共轭效应中存在一个最佳入射光工作位置. 相似文献

In the configuration of four-wave mixing, the output intensity and output phase of the conjugate beam in a photorefractive BaTiO3:Ce crystal are numerically studied. The fidelity of the conjugate beam is analyzed. When an external electric field is applied to the crystal, the intensity of the conjugate beam can be enhanced, but its phase is no longer exactly conjugate to the input phase. The phase conjugate fidelity is, therefore, reduced. 相似文献

We report on intracavity phase conjugation via resonant degenerate 4-wave mixing in atomic sodium vapor with the use of transverse optical Zeeman pumping as a versatile nonlinear mechanism. Under appropriate conditions the phase conjugate wave is found to display bistability, polarization switching and magnetically-induced selfoscillations. Our measurements are shown to be in fair agreement with theoretical predictions based on a simple analytic treatment for a homogeneously broadened coupled 4-level system. 相似文献

在同成分LiNbO3中,掺入ZnO的摩尔分数分别为1%、3%、5%、7%和9%,掺入(质量分数)0.03% MnCO3和0.08%Fe2O3,采用提拉法生长了优质Zn∶Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体.测试Zn∶Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体的OH-红外吸收光谱,抗光损伤能力和位相共轭性能.Zn离子浓度在7%和9%时,OH-吸收峰移到3 528 cm-1,讨论OH-吸收峰移动机理.随着Zn离子浓度增加,抗光损伤能力增加.Zn离子浓度增加到7%,达到阈值.Zn∶Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体抗光损伤能力比LiNbO3晶体高二个数量级,研究高掺锌Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体抗光损伤增强机理.随着Zn离子浓度增加,Zn∶Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体位相共轭反射率降低,位相共轭响应速度增加.Zn∶Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体位相共轭镜消除了光波的位相畸变.以Zn∶Mn∶Fe∶LiNbO3晶体作存储介质进行全息关联存储实验.讨论全息关联存储的工作原理.以原图象的25%和50%进行寻址,在输出平面上接收到较完整的存储图象. 相似文献

The dynamics of semiconductor lasers with photorefractive phase conjugate optical feedback are experimentally studied. Photorefractive fringes considered here are rather static compared with time fluctuations of laser output power. Therefore, it is expected that a semiconductor laser with photorefractive feedback shows similar dynamics to those with conventional optical feedback. We examine relaxation oscillation and external cavity modes of laser output power in the presence of photorefractive phase conjugate feedback. It is proved that the dynamics of photorefractive phase conjugate feedback are fundamentally the same as those of conventional optical feedback. 相似文献

In the present paper, we describe the encryption and decryption of two-dimensional images. The encryption is done by employing a sandwich phase diffuser made by using two elongated speckle patterns, and placed in the Fourier plane of a double random phase encoding system. After encryption, the two constituent phase diffusers of such a sandwich diffuser are separated. During decryption, if the conjugate of either of the two elongated phase speckle patterns is used, the image cannot be retrieved. Correct decryption is also not possible if a sandwich diffuser with any of the phase speckle patterns is shifted in position with respect to the other. For decryption, the encrypted image is Fourier transformed and multiplied by the conjugate of the sandwich diffuser, and then the product is further Fourier transformed. It is possible to generate the image only if both the elongated phase speckle patterns are matched point-to-point and then the proper conjugate is made. The use of elongated speckle patterns in constituting a sandwich phase diffuser makes the system less complicated as compared to the use of a sandwich diffuser made with normal speckle patterns, enabling an easy alignment of the random phase diffuser at the time of rejoining the constituent diffusers for making the right key. The ease of alignment is due to the reduction of the requirement of 360° scanning at the time of rejoining these diffusers with little reduction in the security of the system. Simulation results are presented in support of the proposed idea. For optical implementation, the decrypted image may be obtained by generating a phase conjugate wave by the phase conjugation technique, and passing through the same sandwich phase diffuser. To evaluate the reliability of the technique, mean square error (MSE) between the decrypted and original image has been calculated. 相似文献

Several temporal behaviors of the phase-conjugate output of a self-pumped phase conjugator with internal total reflection in BaTiO3 crystal have been investigated as a function of the beam entrance position and incident angle on the crystal. Different sets of these conditions cause different behavior of phase conjugate wave which are unstable or pulsed output as well as temporally stable output. The criterion, known from optics, of wave phase conjugation quality is accommodated for acoustical experiment. An incident focused sound beam at 5 MHz is propagated towards a supercritical magnetoelastic conjugator through an introduced random phase layer, and the conjugate beam propagates backwards through the layer to the source. 1D and 2D distributions of wave field are measured for the conjugate beam of finite amplitude using a membrane hydrophone. The maximum sound intensity of 640 W/cm2 and acoustic power of 4 W are registered in the focal maximum of the conjugate wave. The quality of WPC is calculated from the ratio between the power in the central maximum and the total power of the conjugate beam. The method is applied to compare two operation modes of a supercritical parametric conjugator. It is shown that in the linear mode the conjugator provides higher quality than in the nonlinear (0.54 compared to 0.24). 相似文献
