Generalized Tricomi Problem for a Quasilinear Mixed Type Equation

In this paper, the Tricomi problem and the generalized Tricomi problem for a quasilinear mixed type equation are studied. The coefficients of the mixed type equation are discontinuous on the line, where the equation changes its type. The existence of solution to these problems is proved. The method developed in this paper can be used to study more difficult problems for nonlinear mixed type equations arising in gas dynamics.

Uniqueness of solution to the generalized Tricomi problem is proved by the method of auxiliary function. Existence of H¹ strong solution is based on a characteristic problem and is proved by the Fredholm's alternative properties.

The theorem of unique solvability of a spatial problem of Darboux type in Sobolev space is proved for a second-order hyperbolic equation.

On Modified Tricomi Problem of Semi-linear Equation of Mixed Type of Second Kind

In this paper we considered the semi-linear equation of mixed type of second kind, k(x, y)u_{tt} + u_{xx} + a(x, y)u_t + P(x, y)u_t + y(x, y)u - |u|^pu = f(z,y) For the above equation, we solved the modified Tricomi problem and have proved the existence and uniqueness of strong solution in H_1.

Modified Tricomi Problem for a Nonlinear System of Second Order Equations of Mixed Type

In this paper a nonliuear system of second order equations of mixed type is considered. The existence of H¹ strong solution for the modified Tricomi problem is proved by the energy integral method and the Leray-Schauder's fixed point principle.     

Space-time Estimates for Parabolic Type Operator and Application to Nonlinear Parabolic Equations

In this present paper we establish space-time estimates of solutions for linear parabolic type equations based on classical multipliers theory or operator semigroup theory. According to space-time estimates we first construct suitable work space L^q(0, T; L^P), moreover we study the Cauchy problem and initial boundary value problem for semilinear parabolic equation in L^q(0, T; L^P) type space.     

On a Problem of Leont'ev and Representing Systems of Exponentials

We study whether an entire function of exponential type has totally regular growth if its derivative increases sufficiently fast on the zero set of the function itself. In particular, for a function with a trigonometrically convex (or positive) lower indicator, we obtain a solution of a well-known problem of Leont'ev. As an application, we refine some already known results concerning the characterization of exponents of the representing systems of exponentials.     

A Hardy Type Inequality and Inde Nite Eigenvalue Problems on the Homogeneous Group

In this paper we present a Hardy type inequality and a Picone type identity for the real sub-Laplacian on the homogeneous group. The existence of the indefinite eigenvalue problem and the simplicity of the principal eigenvalue are proved.     

Inverse problem with a time‐integral condition for a fractional diffusion equation

We find the conditions for the unique solvability of the inverse problem for a time‐fractional diffusion equation with Schwarz‐type distributions in the right‐hand sides. This problem is to find a generalized solution of the Cauchy problem and an unknown space‐dependent part of an equation's right‐hand side under a time‐integral overdetermination condition.     

TRICOMI PROBLEM FOR A MIXED EQUATION OF SECOND ORDER WITH DISCONTINUOUS COEFFICIENTS

This paper is devoted to the Tricomi problem for a mixed type equation of second order. The coeffcients are assumed to be discontinuous on the line where the type is changed. The unique existence of the solution to the problem is proved if the domain is small enough. Correspondingly, some estimates on the solution is also established.     

Existence of Three Solutions for a Degenerate Kirchhoff–Type Transmission Problem

In this article, we establish the existence of three weak solutions for a nonlinear transmission problem involving degenerate nonlocal coefficients of p(x)–Kirchhoff–type. Our approach is of variational nature; the weak formulation takes place in suitable variable exponent Sobolev spaces.     

On the Second-order Equations of Mixed Type of First Kind

In this paper the generalized Tricomi problem for the second-order equation of mixed type of first kind is considered. The uniqueness or solutions is proved under very weak conditions oil the coefficients or equation and the boundary curve of domain. The existence of H¹ strong solutions is proved for the Tricomi problem.     

On transmission problem for viscoelastic wave equation with a localized a nonlinear dissipation

In this article, we consider the global existence and decay rates of solutions for the transmission problem of Kirchhoff type wave equations consisting of two physically different types of materials, one component being a Kirchhoff type wave equation with time dependent localized dissipation which is effective only on a neighborhood of certain part of boundary, while the other being a Kirchhoff type viscoelastic wave equation with nonlinear memory.
