Using high-speed photography, dynamic magnetic structures are studied in Bi-containing (210)-oriented single-crystal films of (Bi,Y,Lu,Pr)3(Fe,Ga)5O12 grown through liquid-phase epitaxy from an overcooled solution in the melt on (Gd,Ga)3(Mg,Zr,Ga)5O12 substrates. At various temperatures, the ranges of pulsed magnetic fields are determined in which unidirectional anisotropy of domain wall velocity and spatial distortions of moving domain walls are observed.  相似文献

The temperature and field dependences of the magnetization, the electrical resistivity, and the magnetostriction of bilayer lanthanum manganite La1.4Sr1.6Mn2O7 single crystals and cobalt-doped La1.4Sr1.6(Mn0.9Cu0.1)2O7 are measured. The magnetostriction of the cobalt-doped compound increases as compared to the initial La1.4Sr1.6Mn2O7 compound, and the magnetization and the magnetoresistance of the former compound change substantially. Powder and single-crystal neutron diffraction patterns are used to detect ferromagnetic ordering in La1.4Sr1.6(Mn0.9Co0.1)2O7 at a temperature below T C ~ 45(2) K, and this ordering coexists with antiferromagnetic correlations, which develop at temperatures below T C ~ 80(5) K.  相似文献

The magnetic structure of Sr5Rh4O12 is based on Ising chains of rhodium ions with a variable valence, Rh3+-Rh4+. The ordering in the chains is assumed to be ferromagnetic. It has been shown that the magnetic structure and phase diagram of Sr5Rh4O12 are well described in a model taking into account weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the nearest and next-nearest neighbors on the triangular lattice of ferromagnetic Ising chains. The ground state at low temperatures is the two-sublattice stripe phase; this phase in the magnetic field is transformed to the ferrimagnetic phase and, then, to the ferromagnetic phase. Small plateaus can be observed in the region of the transition from the ferrimagnetic phase to the ferromagnetic one.  相似文献

The Zeeman effect in the 7 F 65 D 4 absorption band of the Tb3+ ion in the paramagnetic garnets Tb3Ga5O12 and Tb3Al5O12 was studied. The field dependences of the Zeeman splitting of some absorption lines are found to exhibit unusual behavior: as the magnetic field increases, the band splitting decreases rather than increases. Symmetry analysis relates these lines to 4f → 4f electron transitions of the doublet-quasi-doublet or quasi-doublet-doublet type, for which the field dependences of the splitting differ radically from the well-known field dependences of the Zeeman splitting for quasi-doublet-quasi-doublet or quasi-doublet-singlet transitions in a longitudinal magnetic field.  相似文献

Optical properties of Ho3+-doped Lu3Al5O12 and (Lu,Y)3Al5O12 crystals were investigated and compared. Substitution of Y for Lu in the host garnet Lu3Al5O12 results in broad absorption and emission spectra, and improvements in the laser behavior of Ho3+. Pumped by Tm:fiber laser, a maximum output power of 5.02 and 5.73 W of Ho-doped Lu3Al5O12 and (Lu,Y)3Al5O12 have been obtained, respectively. The center lasing wavelength are 2124.5 and 2123.0 nm for Lu3Al5O12 and (Lu,Y)3Al5O12, respectively.  相似文献

The dynamics of magnetoelectric RMn2O5 crystals (R=Eu and Gd) was studied in the frequency and temperature ranges 20–300 GHz and 5–50 K, respectively. The crystals possessed magnetic and ferroelectric long-range order and had close transition temperatures, TN, C?36 and 30 K for R=Eu and Gd, respectively. Mixed magneto-lattice excitations were observed in GdMn2O5; the excitations were most intense near the transition temperature T?30 K at frequencies close to the antiferromagnetic resonance frequencies of the Mn subsystem. Along with the antiferromagnetic resonance of the Mn subsystem, the ferromagnetic resonance of the Gd subsystem was observed in GdMn2O5 in an external magnetic field. No such dynamics was characteristic of EuMn2O5.  相似文献

The vibrational modes of hydrogen bonds in CsH5(PO4)2 and NaH5P2O6 compounds are analyzed via inelastic incoherent neutron scattering in a wide range of temperatures and Raman light scattering at room temperature. The energy ranges have been determined for the γ, jg, and ? bands of the vibrational modes of acid hydrogens of these compounds. The dependences of the energy on the length of hydrogen bonds in CsH5(PO4)2 have been revealed.  相似文献

Specific features of the magnetic properties and magnetic dynamics of isolated phase separation domains in GdMn2O5 and Gd0.8Ce0.2Mn2O5 have been investigated. These domains represent 1D superlattices consisting of dielectric and conducting layers with the ferromagnetic orientation of their spins. A set of ferromagnetic resonances of separate superlattice layers has been studied. The properties of the 1D superlattices in GdMn2O5 and Gd0.8Ce0.2Mn2O5 are compared with the properties of the previously investigated RMn2O5 (R = Eu, Tb, Er, and Bi) series. The similarity of the properties for all the RMn2O5 compounds with different R ion types is established. Based on the concepts of the magnetic dynamics of ferromagnetic multilayers and properties of semiconductor superlattices, a 1D model of the superlattices in RMn2O5 is built.  相似文献

The effects of dopant on the electrochemical properties of spinel-type Li3.97M0.1Ti4.94O12 (M = Mn, Ni, Co) and Li(4-x/3)CrxTi(5-2x/3)O12(x = 0.1, 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.5) were systematically investigated. Charge-discharge cycling were performed at a constant current density of 0.5 mA/cm2 between the cut-off voltages of 3.0 and 1.0 V, the experimental results showed that Cr3+ dopant improved the reversible capacity and cycling stability over the pristine Li4Ti5O12. The substitution of the Mn3+ and Ni3+ slightly decreased the capacity of the Li4Ti5O12. Dopants such as Co3+ to some extent worsened the electrochemical performance of the Li4Ti5O12.  相似文献

Electron spin resonance (ESR) measurements have been performed on polycrystalline samples of Pr0.6Ca0.4Mn1-xRuxO3 (x = 0, 0.1). The substitution of Ru in the Mn-site strengthens ferromagnetic interactions due to the double exchange between the Mn3+ and Mn4+ species and super-exchange between the Ru5+ and Mn3+ species. The temperature dependence of the ESR spectra indicates development of magnetic phase separation in Pr0.6Ca0.4Mn0.9Ru0.1O3 in contrast with the un-doped sample.  相似文献

The behavior of de Haas-van Alphen oscillations in the quasi-2D organic metal (ET)8[Hg4Cl12(C6H5Cl)2] was studied in detail. The section of the Fermi surface of this metal is a two-dimensional network of magnetic breakdown orbits. Only two frequencies, which corresponded to allowed closed orbits, FA and FMB, were detected. This is in agreement with the earlier studies of Shubnikov-de Haas oscillations in this metal. The reason for the absence of other allowed frequencies remains unclear. The angular dependences of the amplitudes of FA and FMB oscillations contain a series of “spin zeros.” An analysis of their positions led us to suggest that many-particle interactions were weakened in (ET)8[Hg4Cl12(C6H5Cl)2].  相似文献

The TmBiGeO5 and YbBiGeO5 compounds have been synthesized from Tm2O3 (Yb2O3), Bi2O3, and GeO2 oxides by the solid-state synthesis with successive burning at 1003, 1073, 1123, 1143, 1173, and 1223 K. High-temperature specific heat of the oxide compounds has been measured by differential scanning calorimetry. Basing on the experimental dependences Cp = f(T), the thermodynamic properties of the oxide compounds, i.e., the enthalpy and entropy variations, have been calculated.  相似文献

The antiferromagnetic resonance, heat capacity, magnetic properties, and magnetic phase diagram of a GdFe3(BO3)4 crystal in which some of the iron ions were substituted by diamagnetic gallium ions have been investigated. It has been found that the Neél temperature upon diamagnetic substitution decreased to 17 K compared to 38 K in the unsubstituted crystal. The effective exchange and anisotropy fields for GdFe2.1Ga0.9(BO3)4 have been estimated from the field dependences of magnetization and resonance measurements. The magnetic phase diagram of the crystal has been constructed from magnetic and resonance measurements. In GdFe2.1Ga0.9(BO3)4, there is no spontaneous reorientation and, in the absence of a magnetic field, the crystal remains an easy-axis one in the entire domain of magnetic ordering. The critical field of the reorientation transition to an induced easy-plane state in a magnetic field along the trigonal axis has been found to increase compared to that in the unsubstituted crystal.  相似文献

The nonlinear microwave absorption in the (CH3NH3)2CuBr4 antiferromagnetic crystal is investigated experimentally. The temperature and angular dependences of the parameters of nonlinear resonance and the dependences of these parameters on the microwave pump power are analyzed. It is found that the nonlinear properties deteriorate with decreasing temperature and the linear and nonlinear contributions are competitive in character.  相似文献

The layered LiNi0.5Mn0.47Al0.03O2 was synthesized by wet chemical method and characterized by X-ray diffraction and analysis of magnetic measurements. The powders adopted the α-NaFeO2 structure. This substitution of Al for Mn promotes the formation of Li(Ni0.472+Ni0.033+Mn0.474+Al0.033+)O2 structures and induces an increase in the average oxidation state of Ni, thereby leading to the shrinkage of the lattice unit cell. The concentration of antisite defects in which Ni2+ occupies the (3a) Li lattice sites in the Wyckoff notation has been estimated from the ferromagnetic Ni2+(3a)–Mn4+(3b) pairing observed below 140 K. The substitution of 3% Al for Mn reduces the amount of antisite defects from 7% to 6.4–6.5%. The analysis of the magnetic properties in the paramagnetic phase in the framework of the Curie–Weiss law agrees well with the combination of Ni2+ (S = 1), Ni3+ (S = 1/2) and Mn4+ (S = 3/2) spin-only values. Delithiation has been made by the use of K2S2O8. According to this process, known to be softer than the electrochemical one, the nickel ions in the (3b) sites are converted into Ni4+ in the high spin configuration, while Ni2+(3a)–Mn4+(3b) ferromagnetic pairs remain, as the Li+(3b) ions linked to the Ni2+(3a) ions in the antisite defects are not removed. The results show that the antisite defect is surrounded by Mn4+ ions, implying the nonuniform distribution of the cations in agreement with previous NMR and neutron experiments.  相似文献

A Cu2+-doped single crystal of catena-trans-bis(N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-ethylenediamine) zinc(II)-tetra-m-cyanopaladate(II) [ZnPd(CN)4(C4H12N2O2)] complex has been investigated by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) technique at room temperature. EPR spectra indicate that Cu2+ ions substitute for magnetically equivalent Zn2+ ions and form octahedral complexes in [ZnPd(CN)4(C4H12N2O2)] hosts. The crystal field affecting the Cu2+ ion is nearly axial. The optical absorption studies show two bands at 322 nm (30864 cm−1) and 634 nm (15337 cm−1) which confirm the axial symmetry. The spin Hamiltonian parameters and the relevant wave function are determined.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the specific heat and transport characteristics of phonons in single crystals of yttrium-stabilized zirconium dioxide Y2O3:ZrO2 solid solutions have been studied. It has been shown that the temperature dependences of the specific heat at T > 5 K are almost identical at the degree of stabilization of a solid solution with an Y2O3 content of 5–20 mol %. Differences in the temperature dependences of the specific heat of samples from different sources at T < 5 K are due to the presence of low-energy two-level systems. The features of the transport characteristics of thermal phonons at liquid helium temperatures reflect not only the presence of two-level systems but also the scattering of phonons on low-dimensional domains of another phase coherently conjugate to the main phase of the Y2O3:ZrO2 solid solution.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the velocity of longitudinal sound and internal friction in the ferromagnetic La0.5Pr0.2Ca0.3MnO3 single crystal with magnetic first-order phase transition were studied. It was found that the sound velocity decreases by ≈20% in transition from the ferromagnetic to paramagnetic state. In the paramagnetic region, the extended temperature hysteresis of the sound velocity and the internal friction was observed. It was shown that La0.5Pr0.2Ca0.3MnO3 has two paramagnetic phases with different sound velocities.  相似文献

The field and temperature dependences of magnetization and the temperature dependences of the initial magnetic susceptibility have been theoretically studied for three crystallographic directions in a trigonal NdFe3(BO3)4 antiferromagnetic crystal. The calculations were performed using a molecular field approximation and a crystal field model for the rare-earth subsystem. The obtained theoretical expressions are applied to the interpretation of recent experimental data [1–4] on the magnetic properties of NdFe3(BO3)4. The results of calculations show a good agreement with experiment. The proposed theory adequately describes (i) anomalies of the Schottky type in the temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility, (ii) nonlinear curves of magnetization in the basal plane in a magnetic field up to 1 T (showing evidence of the first-order phase transitions) and their evolution with the temperature, and (iii) the field and temperature dependences of magnetization in a magnetic field up to 9 T.  相似文献
