The first coordination compounds of partially or wholly deprotonated benzenepentacarboxylic acid (H5L) were synthesized in the presence or absence of auxiliary 2,2'-bipyridyl (2,2'-bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) ligands, and their crystal structures and photoluminescent properties were characterized. Their formulas are [Zn6(mu3-OH)2(L)2(H2O)6]n (1), [Zn5(mu3-OH)2(HL)2(2,2'-bpy)2]n (2), [Zn2(HL)(phen)2(H2O)2]n (3), and [Zn5(L)2(phen)4(H2O)3]n.2nH2O (4). Both 1 and 2 are three-dimensional (3D) zinc(II)-hydroxide cluster based coordination frameworks. 1 contains distorted chairlike hexanuclear Zn6(mu3-OH)2 cluster units as secondary building blocks. Each Zn6(mu3-OH)2 unit connects six others through the three-connected nodes of L5- ligands into a 3D rigid and condensed coordination network, whereas in 2, each pentanuclear Zn5(mu3-OH)2 unit connects the other six ones through the three-connected [HL]4- nodes into a 3D network in the simple cubic packing mode. 3 has two-dimensional (2D) Zn(II)-carboxylate supramolecular layers constructed from a one-dimensional (1D) coordination chain structure by hydrogen bonds of the water and mu5-[HL]4- bridges, whereas 4 has 2D coordination layers composed of Zn(II) and mu8-L5- bridges. The adjacent coordination assemblies in 3 and 4 are further extended by hydrogen bonds and pi...pi interactions into 3D supramolecular architectures. 1-4 are photoluminescent active materials, and their photofluorescent properties are closely related to their intrinsic structure arrangements.  相似文献

A novel tetrameric cluster, (enH2)3.5H15[{FeIIFeIII12(mu3-OH)12(mu4-PO4)4}(B-alpha-PW9O34)4].83H2O (1; en = ethylenediamine), has been hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by IR, optical diffuse reflectance, thermogravimetric analysis, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The skeleton of 1 is composed of four tri-FeIII-substituted [FeIII3(mu3-OH)3(B-alpha-PW9O34)]3- Keggin moieties fused together through a FeII2O2 unit and four mu4-PO4 bridges, resulting in a unique tetramer with C2 symmetry. Magnetic measurements indicate that 1 reveals the antiferromagnetic interactions between FeII and FeIII centers.  相似文献

K(x)H(1-x)Ni(OH2)4[Ru2(CO3)4].zH2O is a ferrimagnet (Tc = 4.3 K) formed from the reaction of K3[Ru(II/III)2(CO3)4] and Ni(II) in water. It possesses a new 3-D network structural motif composed of linked chains and mu3-CO3 linkages to both Ru and Ni sites. Each Ni(II) bonds to four oxygens and to two [Ru2(CO3)4]3- moieties in a cis manner, and four mu3-CO3 groups from each [Ru2(CO3)4](3-) have two oxygens bonding to the Ru2 moiety, forming the typical paddle-wheel core, and trans pairs of the third CO32- oxygen axially bonded to either another Ru2 or Ni(II).  相似文献

Hydrothermal reaction of CoCl2 with the potassium salt of pyridine-2,3-dicarboxylic acid and excess base yields [Co3(NC5H3(CO2)2-2,5)2(mu3-OH)2(OH2)2], which has a three-dimensional structure based on hydroxide-bridged triangular chains. The magnetic behavior of this compound shows the presence of three distinct regions of magnetic bistability.  相似文献

Tetranuclear lanthanide-hydroxo complexes of the general formula [Ln(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)(AA)(x)(H(2)O)(y)](8+) (1, Ln = Sm, AA = Gly, x = 5, y = 11; 2, Ln = Nd, AA = Ala, x = 6, y = 10; 3, Ln = Er, AA = Val, x = 5, y = 10) have been prepared by alpha-amino acid controlled hydrolysis of lanthanide ions under near physiological pH conditions (pH 6-7). The core component of these compounds is a cationic cluster [Ln(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)](8+) whose constituent lanthanide ions and triply bridging hydroxo groups occupy the alternate vertexes of a distorted cube. The amino acid ligands coordinate the lanthanide ions via bridging carboxylate groups. Utilizing L-glutamic acid as the supporting ligand, a cationic cluster complex (4) formulated as [Er(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)(Glu)(3)(H(2)O)(8)](5+) has been obtained. Its extended solid-state structure is composed of the cubane-like [Er(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)](8+) cluster building units interlinked by the carboxylate groups of the glutamate ligands. All compounds are characterized by using a combination of spectroscopic techniques and microanalysis (CHN and metal). Infrared spectra of the complexes suggest the coordinated amino acids to be zwitterionic. The presence of mass (MALDI-TOF) envelopes corresponding to the [Ln(4)(mu(3)-OH)(4)](8+) (Ln = trivalent Sm, Nd, or Er) core containing fragments manifests the integrity of the cubane-like cluster unit. Magnetic studies using Evans' method suggest that exchange interactions between the lanthanide ions are insignificant at ambient temperature. The structural identities of all four compounds have been established crystallographically. The tetranuclear cluster core has been demonstrated to be a common structural motif in these complexes. A mechanism responsible for its self-assembly is postulated.  相似文献

The reactions of appropriate ratios of K2TeO3 and [Mn2(CO)10)] in superheated methanol solutions lead to a series of novel cluster anions [Te4Mn3(CO)10] (1), [Te2Mn3(CO)9]2- (2), [Te2Mn3(CO)9]- (3), and [Te2Mn4(CO)12]2- (4). When cluster 1 is treated with [Mn2(CO)10]/KOH in methanol, paramagnetic cluster 2 is formed in moderate yield. Cluster 2 is oxidized by [Cu(MeCN)4]BF4 to give the closo-cluster [Te2Mn3(CO)9]- (3), while treatment of 2 with [Mn2(CO)10]/KOH affords the closo-cluster 4. IR spectroscopy showed that cluster 1 reacted with [Mn2(CO)10] to give cluster 4 via cluster 2. Clusters 1-4 were structurally characterized by spectroscopic methods or/and X-ray analyses. The core structure of 1 can be described as two [Mn(CO)3] groups doubly bridged by two Te2 fragments in a mu2-eta2 fashion. Both [Mn(CO)3] groups are further coordinated to one [Mn(CO)4] moiety. Cluster 2 is a 49 e- species with a square-pyramidal core geometry. While cluster 3 displays a trigonal-bipyramidal metal core, cluster 4 possesses an octahedral core geometry.  相似文献

Two new polynuclear complexes [Ni6(amox)6(mu6-O)(mu3-OH)2](Cl2).6H2O and [Cu3(amox)3(mu3-OH)(mu3-Cl)](ClO4).4H2O (amox- = anion of 4-amino-4-methyl-2-pentanone oxime) have been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. The Ni(II) complex contains a novel Chinese-lantern-like Ni6 cage centered by an oxo ion. It contains the nearest octahedral Ni(II)...Ni(II) separation (<2.8 A) and exhibits strong antiferromagnetic properties. The Cu(II) complex has a cyclic trinuclear copper(II) core bridged by both mu3-OH(-) and mu3-Cl(-) ions. The magnetic susceptibilities of both antiferromagnetic complexes were fitted by using approximate models.  相似文献

Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility studies on the powder samples of 1-3 reveal the overall antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions with J values of -55.6 to -12.8 cm(-1) (1), -216.4 to 0 cm(-1) (2), and -259.8 to 4.8 cm(-1) (3).  相似文献

The interactions of the benzothiazolate complex, CpCr(CO)(2)(SCSN(C(6)H(4))) (2), and the tetrazole thiolate complex, CpCr(CO)(3)(eta(1)-SCN(4)Ph) (3), with controlled amounts of Me(3)OBF(4) and (MeO)(2)SO(2), respectively, produced the corresponding mu(3)-oxo trinuclear thionate-bridged complexes, [Cp(3)Cr(3)(mu(2)-OH)(mu(3)-O)(mu(2)-eta(2)-SCSN(C(6)H(4)))(2)](5)BF(4) (45%) and [Cp(3)Cr(3)(mu(2)-OH)(mu(3)-O)(mu(2)-eta(2)-SCN(4)Ph)(2)](9)(MeOSO(3)) (53%), together with their respective free dimethylated thiolate ligands, [MeSCSNMe(C(6)H(4))](4)BF(4) and (Me(2)SCN(4)Ph)(8)MeOSO(3). The reaction of 3 with Me(3)OBF(4) resulted in the isolation of a binuclear complex, [Cp(2)Cr(2)(mu-OH)(mu-eta(2)-SCN(4)Ph)(2)](7)BF(4) (43%), and (8)BF(4) (27%). The reaction of the thiopyridine complex, CpCr(CO)(2)(SPy) (4), with I(2) also produced a similar mu(3)-oxo complex 10 (31%), together with CpCrI(2)(THF) (11) and the disulfide (SPy)(2). Similar reactions with 2 and 3 and I(2) yielded species 5 and 7, together with 11 and disulfides derived from their respective ligands. Cyclic voltammograms recorded in solutions of 5 and 9 indicated that the compounds could be reduced and oxidized at very similar potentials. An EPR spectrum characteristic of a compound with axial symmetry was obtained for 9 at 7 K. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses confirmed that species 7 is dinuclear, whereas 5 and 9 are structural trinuclear analogues, each containing a mu(3)-oxo central core.  相似文献

The reactions of the previously reported cluster complexes [Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)(PEt(3))(5)I]I, trans-[Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)(PEt(3))(4)I(2)], and cis-[Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)(PEt(3))(4)I(2)] with the [Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)](2+) core with CO in the presence of AgSbF(6) afforded the corresponding cluster carbonyls [Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)(PEt(3))(5)(CO)][SbF(6)](2) (), trans-[Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)(PEt(3))(4)(CO)(2)][SbF(6)](2) (), and cis-[Re(6)(mu(3)-Se)(8)(PEt(3))(4)(CO)(2)][SbF(6)](2) (). Infrared spectroscopy indicated weakening of the bond in CO, suggesting the existence of backbonding between the cluster core and the CO ligand(s). Electrochemical studies focusing on the reversible, one-electron oxidation of the cluster core revealed a large increase in the oxidation potential upon going from the acetonitrile derivatives to their carbonyl analogs, consistent with the depleted electron density of the cluster core upon CO ligation. Disparities between the IR spectra and oxidation potential between and indicate that electronic differences exist between sites trans and cis to the location of a ligand of interest. The active role played by the Se atoms in influencing the cluster-to-CO bonding interactions is suggested through this result and density functional (DF) computational analysis. The computations indicate that molecular orbitals near the HOMO account for backbonding interactions with a high percentage of participation of Se orbitals.  相似文献

Reaction of aqueous/ethanolic solutions of CoCl2.6H2O and nitrilotripropionic acid (H3ntp=N(CH2CH2COOH)3) in the presence of potassium hydroxide affords the hydroxy-bridged tetranuclear cluster [Co4mu3-OH)2(H2O)6(ntp)2].2H2O (1). The Ni(II) analogue [Ni4(mu3-OH)2(H2O)6(ntp)2].2H2O (2) can also be isolated using aqueous solutions and Ni(SO4).7H2O as metal salt. With small changes in reaction conditions the methoxy-bridged analogue, [Ni4(mu3-OMe)2(H2O)6(ntp)2](3), can also be isolated. In these tetramers the M(II) ions are oxygen-bridged and exhibit a defect dicubane-like core with two missing vertices. The magnetic properties have been studied for all three clusters and reveal competing antiferromagnetic and ferromagnetic interactions between the four Co(II) ions in 1 and ferromagnetic coupling between the four Ni(II) ions in 2 and 3. In all three compounds the individual clusters order antiferromagnetically at Neel temperatures below 1 K.  相似文献

The ambient temperature reaction of the N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) 1,3-dimesitylimidazol-2-ylidene (IMes) and 1,3-bis(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)imidazol-2-ylidene (IDipp) with the triruthenium cluster [Ru(3)(CO)(12)], in a 3 : 1 stoichiometric ratio, results in homolytic cleavage of the cluster to quantitatively afford the complexes [Ru(CO)(4)(NHC)] (; NHC = IMes, ; NHC = IDipp). Reaction of the 2-thione or hydrochloride precursors to IMes, i.e. S[double bond, length as m-dash]IMes and IMes.HCl, with the same triruthenium cluster affords the complexes [Ru(4)(mu(4)-S)(2)(CO)(9)(IMes)(2)] () and [Ru(4)(mu(4)-S)(CO)(10)(IMes)(2)] () (3 : 1 and 2 : 1 reaction), and [{Ru(mu-Cl)(CO)(2)(IMes)}(2)] () (3 : 1 reaction) respectively. By contrast, the complex [Ru(3)(mu(3)-S)(2)(CO)(7)(IMeMe)(2)] (), where IMeMe is 1,3,4,5-tetramethylimidazol-2-ylidene, is the sole product of the 2 : 1 stoichiometric reaction of S[double bond, length as m-dash]IMeMe with [Ru(3)(CO)(12)]. A three-dimensional homometallic complex [Co(5)(mu(3)-OH)(2)(btec)(2)(bpp)](n) is built from the mixed hydroxide/carboxylate bridged cobalt(ii) chains linked by the 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate (btec(4-)) anion and 1,3-bis(4-pyridyl)-propane molecule (bpp). Within each chain, two mu(3)-OH-bridged metal triangles connect to each other by sharing a common vertex to give rise to a bow-tie type Co(5)(mu(3)-OH)(2) subunit, which is joined to adjacent subunits by four mu(1,1)-carboxylate bridges to form a step-like metal-oxygen backbone. The magnetic studies revealed that the coexistence of ferromagnetic and antiferrimagnetic interactions resulted in a ferrimagnetic-like behavior of the homometallic chains. Below a critical temperature (T(N) = 12.5 K), bulk antiferromagnetic ordering was observed at low field due to the weak interchain antiferromagnetic interactions. A metamagnetic transition occurred at a magnetic field of ca. 5 kOe at 2 K.  相似文献

The reaction of [Rh(4)(CO)(9)(mu-CO)(3)] with 3-hexyne to form the butterfly cluster [(mu(4)-eta(2)-3-hexyne)Rh(4)(CO)(8)(mu-CO)(2)] was monitored viain-situ Raman spectroscopy using an NIR laser source, at room temperature and under atmospheric argon using n-hexane as solvent. The collected raw spectra were deconvoluted using band-target entropy minimization (BTEM). The pure component mid-Raman spectra of the [Rh(4)(CO)(9)(mu-CO)(3)] and the butterfly cluster [(mu(4)-eta(2)-3-hexyne)Rh(4)(CO)(8)(mu-CO)(2)], were reconstructed with a high signal-to-noise ratio. Full geometric optimization and Raman vibrational prediction were carried out using DFT. The experimental and predicted Raman spectra were in good agreement. In particular, the far-Raman vibrational modes in the region 100-280 cm(-1) provided characterization of the metal-metal bonds and direct confirmation of the structural integrity of the polynuclear frameworks in solution.  相似文献

The hydrothermal reaction of thiosalicylic acid, (C(6)H(4)(CO(2)H)(SH)-1,2) with manganese(III) acetate leads to formation of the coordination solid [Mn(5)((C(6)H(4)(CO(2))(S)-1,2)(2))(4)(mu3-OH)2] (1) via a redox reaction, where resulting manganese(II) centres are coordinated by oxygen donor atoms and S-S disulfide bridge formation is simultaneously observed. Reaction of the same ligand under similar conditions with zinc(II) chloride yields the layered coordination solid [Zn(C(6)H(4)(CO(2))(S)-1,2)] (2). Hydrothermal treatment of manganese(III) acetate with 2-mercaptonicotinic acid, (NC(5)H(3)(SH)(CO(2)H)-2,3) was found to produce the 1-dimensional chain structure [Mn(2)((NC(5)H(3)(S)(CO(2))-2,3)(2))(2)(OH(2))(4)].4H(2)O (3) which also exhibits disulfide bridge formation and oxygen-only metal interactions. Compound 3 has been studied by thermogravimetric analysis and indicates sequential loss of lattice and coordinated water, prior to more comprehensive ligand fragmentation at elevated temperatures. The magnetic behaviour of 1 and 3 has been investigated and both exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions. The magnetic behaviour of 1 has been modelled as two corner-sharing isosceles triangles whilst 3 has been modelled as a 1-dimensional chain.  相似文献

The nine-membered [-Cu(II)-N-N-](3) ring of trimeric copper-pyrazolato complexes provides a sturdy framework on which water is twice deprotonated in consecutive steps, forming mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O species. In the presence of excess chlorides the mu(3)-O(H) ligand is replaced by two mu(3)-Cl ions. The interconversion of mu(3)-OH and mu(3)-O and the exchange of mu(3)-O(H) and mu(3)-Cl are reversible, and the three species involved have been structurally characterized: [PPN][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)(thf)].CH(2)Cl(2) (1a), monoclinic P2(1)/n, a = 10.055(2) A, b = 35.428(5) A, c = 15.153(2) A, beta = 93.802(3) degrees, V = 5386(1) A(3), Z = 4; [Bu(4)N][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (1b), triclinic P-1, a = 9.135(2) A, b = 13.631(2) A, c = 14.510(2) A, alpha = 67.393(2) degrees, beta = 87.979(2) degrees, gamma = 80.268(3) degrees, V = 1643.2(4) A(3), Z = 2; [PPN](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-O)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (2), monoclinic P2/c, a = 12.807(2) A, b = 13.093(2) A, c = 23.139(4) A, beta = 105.391(3) degrees, V = 3741(1) A(3), Z = 2; [PPN](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-Cl)(2)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)].0.75H(2)O.0.5CH(2)Cl(2) (3a), triclinic P-1, a = 14.042(2) A, b = 23.978(4) A, c = 25.195(4) A, alpha = 76.796(3) degrees, beta = 79.506(3) degrees, gamma = 77.629(3) degrees, V = 7988(2) A(3), Z = 4; [Bu(4)N](2)[Cu(3)(mu(3)-Cl)(2)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)] (3b), monoclinic C2/c, a = 17.220(2) A, b = 15.606(2) A, c = 20.133(2) A, beta = 103.057(2) degrees, V = 5270(1) A(3), Z = 4; [Et(3)NH][Cu(3)(mu(3)-OH)(mu-pz)(3)Cl(3)(pzH)] (4), triclinic P-1, a = 11.498(2) A, b = 11.499(2) A, c = 12.186(2) A, alpha = 66.475(3) degrees, beta = 64.279(3) degrees, gamma = 80.183(3) degrees, V = 1331.0(5) A(3), Z = 2. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show that the three copper centers of 2 are strongly antiferromagnetically coupled with J(Cu-Cu) = -500 cm(-1).  相似文献

The reactivity of [HMCo3(CO)12] and [Et4N][MCo3(CO)12] (M = Fe, Ru) toward phosphine selenides such as Ph3PSe, Ph2P(Se)CH2PPh2, Ph2(2-C5H4N)PSe, Ph2(2-C4H3S)PSe, and Ph2[(2-C5H4N)(2-C4H2S)]PSe has been studied with the aim to obtain new selenido-carbonyl bimetallic clusters. The reactions of the hydrido clusters give two main classes of products: (i) triangular clusters with a mu3-Se capping ligand of the type [MCo2(mu3-Se)(CO)(9-x)L(y)] resulting from the selenium transfer (x = y = 1, 2, with L = monodentate ligand; x = 2, 4, and y = 1, 2, with L = bidentate ligand) (M = Fe, Ru) and (ii) tetranuclear clusters of the type [HMCo3(CO)12xL(y)] obtained by simple substitution of axial, Co-bound carbonyl groups by the deselenized phosphine ligand. The crystal structures of [HRuCo3(CO)7(mu-CO)3(mu-dppy)] (1), [MCo2(mu3-Se)(CO)7(mu-dppy)] (M = Fe (16) or Ru (2)), and [RuCo2(mu3-Se)(CO)7(mu-dppm)] (12) are reported [dppy = Ph2(2-C5H4N)P, dppm = Ph2PCH2PPh2]. Clusters 2, 12, and 16 are the first examples of trinuclear bimetallic selenido clusters substituted by phosphines. Their core consists of metal triangles capped by a mu3-selenium atom with the bidentate ligand bridging two metals in equatorial positions. The core of cluster 1 consists of a RuCo3 tetrahedron, each Co-Co bond being bridged by a carbonyl group and one further bridged by a dppy ligand. The coordination of dppy in a pseudoaxial position causes the migration of the hydride ligand to the Ru(mu-H)Co edge. In contrast to the reactions of the hydrido clusters, those with the anionic clusters [MCo3(CO)12]- do not lead to Se transfer from phosphorus to the cluster but only to CO substitution by the deselenized phosphine.  相似文献
