On weighted inductive limits of spaces of ultradifferentiable functions and their duals

In the first part of this paper we discuss the completeness of two general classes of weighted inductive limits of spaces of ultradifferentiable functions. In the second part we study their duals and characterize these spaces in terms of the growth of convolution averages of their elements. This characterization gives a canonical way to define a locally convex topology on these spaces and we give necessary and sufficient conditions for them to be ultrabornological. In particular, our results apply to spaces of convolutors for Gelfand–Shilov spaces.     

Analytic implementation of the duals of some spaces of infinitely differentiable functions

Using the Fourier-Laplace transform for functionals, we describe the duals of some spaces of the infinitely differentiable functions given on convex compact sets or convex domains in ?^N and such that the growth of their derivatives is determined by weight sequences of a general form.     

Approximation of semigroups and cosine functions in spaces of periodic functions

In this article we furnish a representation of the solutions of some classes of first-order and second-order evolution problems as limit of iterates of classical sequences of approximating operators. The method is based on Trotter's theorem on the approximation of semigroups which is applied here also for the approximation of groups and cosine functions. We apply this method in spaces of continuous periodic functions and using some classical sequences of trigonometric polynomials.     

Orlicz-Hardy spaces and their duals

We establish the theory of Orlicz-Hardy spaces generated by a wide class of functions.The class will be wider than the class of all the N-functions.In particular,we consider the non-smooth atomic decomposition.The relation between Orlicz-Hardy spaces and their duals is also studied.As an application,duality of Hardy spaces with variable exponents is revisited.This work is different from earlier works about Orlicz-Hardy spaces H(Rn)in that the class of admissible functions is largely widened.We can deal with,for example,(r)≡(rp1(log(e+1/r))q1,0r 6 1,rp2(log(e+r))q2,r1,with p1,p2∈(0,∞)and q1,q2∈(.∞,∞),where we shall establish the boundedness of the Riesz transforms on H(Rn).In particular,is neither convex nor concave when 0p11p2∞,0p21p1∞or p1=p2=1 and q1,q20.If(r)≡r(log(e+r))q,then H(Rn)=H(logH)q(Rn).We shall also establish the boundedness of the fractional integral operators I of order∈(0,∞).For example,I is shown to be bounded from H(logH)1./n(Rn)to Ln/(n.)(log L)(Rn)for 0n.     

On banach spaces whose duals areL 1 spaces

Characterizations of Banach spaces whose duals areL 1 spaces

We characterize those Banach spaces whose duals are isometric toL ₁ spaces in terms of the structure of the spaces of absolutely summing, integral, nuclear, and fully nuclear operators from or into these spaces.     

Exposed and denting points in duals of operator spaces

We study the extremal structure of the dual unit balls of various operator spaces. Mainly, we show that the classes of [w*-] strongly exposed, [w*-] exposed, and denting points in the dual unit balls of spaces of compact operators between Banach spacesX andY are completely — and in a canonical way — determined by the corresponding classes of points in the unit balls of the (bi-)duals of the factor spacesX andY. Applications to the duality of operator spaces and differentiability properties of the norm in operator spaces are given.     

An optimal lattice cubature formula in Banach spaces of periodic functions

We establish the optimality of a formula of rectangles among cubature formulas on a given lattice taken in one of the equivalent normalizations on the Banach space of the periodic functions,which is compactly embedded in the space of continuous functions with a norm which is invariant with respect to translations of the arguments of the functions.     

Some fundamental properties for duals of Orlicz spaces

In this paper some basic properties of Orlicz spaces are extended to their dual spaces, and finally, criteria for extreme points in these spaces are given.
