The tandem Diels-Alder/dehydrochlorination reaction of semisquaric chloride (1) with the 1,2-bis(methylene)cycloalkanes 2a-c and 1,2-bis(methylene)-4-cyclohexene (9) affords the linearly-fused cycloalkanodihydrobenzocyclobutene-1,2-diones 3a-c and 3,4,7,8-tetrahydrocyclobuta[b]-naphthalene-1,2-dione (10), respectively. On treatment with MnO2, 3a-c are dehydrogenated to the respective carbocycle-fused benzocyclobutene-1,2-diones 4a-c in good yields. 3a and 3b react with bromine to give the addition products 5a,b, which, on treatment with silver trifluoroacetate, afford the benzocyclobutene-1,2-diones 4a,b. For preparative purposes, the sequence 3-->5-->4 can be performed advantageously as a "one-pot procedure". Double-condensation reactions of 4a,b with alpha,alpha'-biscyano-o-xylene and o-phenylenediamine afford the pentacyclic biphenylenes 7a,b and the cyclobutahetarenes 8a,b, respectively. These cyclobutenediones suggest themselves as building blocks for the construction of extended linearly-fused polycyclic compounds with novel ring sequences. o-Quinodimethanes 12a-g generated in situ by the thermal decomposition of the respective 1,4-dihydro-2,3-benzoxathiin-3-oxides (sultines) 11a-g react with semisquaric chloride (1) to afford the 3,8-dihydronaphtho[b]cyclobutene-1,2-diones 13a-g. These, on dehydrogenation with bromine and/or MnO2, furnish the naphtho[b]cyclobutene-1,2-diones 14a-g in fair to good yields. As described for 4a,b the naphtho[b]cyclobutene-1,2-diones 14a-c are condensed with alpha,alpha'-biscyano-o-xylene and o-phenylenediamine to furnish the pentacyclic biphenylenes 15a-c and the pentacyclic cyclobutahetarenes 16a-c.  相似文献

Three novel conjugated polymers bearing 3,4-bis(4-hexylthiophen-2-yl)-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione unit in their main chain have been synthesized successfully in good yields through Suzuki or Stille coupling reaction.Their molecular structures have been confirmed by FT-IR,1H NMR and 13C NMR.All these copolymers exhibit broad and strong absorption bands in UV-vis region,and their optical band gaps are calculated to be 1.6-2.0 eV.suggesting that they have good coverage with the solar spectrum.These polymers have good thermostability and solubility in common organic solvents.Moreover,all these objective macromolecules possess high electron affinity of~3.8 eV determined from cyclic voltammetry measurement,implying that they are potential n-type polymeric photovoltaic materials.  相似文献

The photoinitiated elimination of methoxy groups of poly(p-phenylene-1-methoxyethylene) and the photochemical doping of the resulting poly(phenylenevinylene) (PPV) were investigated. Upon irradiation and then heat treatment at 150°C, poly(p-phenylene-1-methoxyethylene) containing triphenylsulfonium hexafluoroantimonate was converted to PPV. The resulting PPV was observed to be conductive, and its conductivity was 10−2–10−3 S/cm. By a lithographic procedure, we produced a conducting pattern doped photochemically in a nonconjugated poly(p-phenylene-1-methoxyethylene) matrix.  相似文献

Soluble poly(2,5-dialkoxy-1,4-phenylenevinylene) has been prepared via Stille coupling reaction between 2,5-dialkoxy-1,4-diiodobenzene and E-1,2-bis(tributylstannyl)-ethene in the presence of palladium complexes. Characterization of this material by means of 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), ultraviolet/visible (UV/VIS) and infrared (IR) spectra is described. Molecular weights, determined by means of gelpermeation chromatography (GPC) analysis and referred to standard polystyrene, were in the range number-average molecular weights M n = 2061–2544 and weight-average molecular weights M w = 3347–3878. X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of the polymer showed semicrystalline structure. Tg = 57°C, transition to a stable smectic mesophase at 115°C and clearing point at 210°C were revealed by differential scanning calorimetry analysis, optical microscopy observation and XRD of the annealed polymer.  相似文献

Two new poly(p‐phenylenevinylene) derivatives were prepared by Heck coupling. They contained alternating conjugated segments on the basis of p‐distyrylbenzene and flexible nonconjugated spacers. The synthesized polymers P1 and P2 carried two m‐terphenyl of four tertbutyl pendants, respectively, per repeat unit. Both polymers were amorphous and exhibited satisfactory thermal stability. Polymer P1 displayed a limited solubility in common organic solvents, whereas P2 dissolved readily in these solvents. The glass‐transition temperature values were 128 °C for P1 and 37 °C for P2 . The polymers emitted blue or violet‐blue light with photoluminescent maxima at about 445 and 460 nm for solutions and thin films, respectively. A new approach for the fabrication of a multilayer film assembly is explored, which is based on the alternating assembling of poly(4-vinylpyridine) and poly(acrylic acid) via hydrogen bonding. The homogeneous multilayer films were characterized by UV-Vis, X-ray diffraction and atomic force microscopy (AFM) measurements. The nature of interaction between the two polymers is identified as hydrogen bonding by IR spectroscopy.  相似文献

cis-Oligo(phenylenevinylene)s (OPVs) are synthesized by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of arylboronic acids with (Z)-bromoalkenes in over 96% geometrical purity. On the other hand, trans-oligo(phenylenevinylene)s can be synthesized by Hiyama coupling of aryl iodide with (E)-alkenylsilanes in almost perfect purities. The molecular dipole moment of the 3,4-bis(dimethylamino)-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione (DMACB) molecule and its enhancement in the crystal was evaluated by periodic RHF ab initio computations. A discrete boundary partitioning of the electronic density that allows an unambiguous partitioning of the molecular space in the condensed phase was adopted. The resulting molecular dipole in the crystal compares favorably with the experimental value obtained by a multipolar analysis of single-crystal X-ray diffraction data recorded at 20 K, using a fuzzy boundary partitioning of the derived pseudoatom densities. We show that a large and highly significant molecular dipole enhancement may occur upon crystallization, despite the lack of a strongly hydrogen bonded environment in the crystal. The 23 unique C-H...O interactions which are formed upon packing of the DMACB molecule induce an increase in the molecular dipole (over 75%) that is comparable to or greater than that found in systems which are characterized by the stronger O-H...O and N-H...O hydrogen bonds. The DMACB molecule constitutes an excellent system for the study of C-H...O interactions in the condensed phase, since no other kind of competing hydrogen bonds is present in its crystal. A simple and qualitative model for the matrix contribution to the DMACB molecular dipole enhancement in the crystal is proposed. The formation of several weak C-H...O bonds is found to yield a small (about 0.2 e) net flux of electronic charge flowing from the hydrogens of the methyl groups to the carbonyl oxygen atoms. Despite the limited increase of the intramolecular charge transfer upon crystallization, a large molecular dipole enhancement occurs because the centroids of the positive and negative induced charges are quite far apart. This work highlights a new and important role of the C-H...O bond, besides those already known in the literature.  相似文献

New dipolar and non-dipolar poly(phenylenevinylene) dendrimers bearing electron-donating and electron-withdrawing groups have been efficiently synthesized using Heck and Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons reactions. The photoluminescence of these systems may be tuned in the blue zone by choosing the appropriate peripheral groups. Despite the meta-substitution pattern, large Stokes shifts can be observed when pi-donor and pi-acceptor groups are connected by a m-phenylenevinylene system.  相似文献

To improve the cytotoxicity and biocompatibility of cationic polymers used as gene carriers, new cationic poly(ester-anhydride) copolymers (Pea-PAs) bearing a quaternary ammonium group in the backbone were synthesized through a reaction between an aminoester dicarboxylic acid with a tertiary amine in the backbone and excess acetyl chloride. Their structure was characterized by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC). They degraded hydrolytically in 20 mM HEPES buffer at pH 7.4 at 37°C with a half-life of more than 70 h. Their cytotoxicity was substantially lower than that of PEI. The blood clotting index (BCI) and haemolysis ratio (HR) also showed that these newly synthesized Pea-PA polymer are biopolymers with good blood compatibility.  相似文献

X-ray investigation of 3-butoxy-4-(1,3,3-trimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-2-indolylidenemethyl)-3-cyclobutene-1,2-dione and its thio analog has been carried out. Replacement of the carbonyl oxygen atom by a sulfur atom causes electron density delocalization and equalization of the C-C bonds between the four-and five-membered rings.  相似文献

Three unsymmetrical diiodobichalcogenophenes SSeI2, STeI2, and SeTeI2 and a diiodoterchalcogenophene SSeTeI2 were prepared. Grignard metathesis of SSeI2, STeI2, SeTeI2, and SSeTeI2 occurred regioselectively at the lighter chalcogenophene site because of its relatively lower electron density and less steric bulk. Nickel-catalyzed Kumada catalyst-transfer polycondensation of these Mg species provided a new class of side-chain regioregular and main-chain AB-type alternating poly(bichalcogenophene)s—PSSe, PSTe, and PSeTe—through a chain-growth mechanism. The ring-walking of the Ni catalyst from the lighter to the heavier chalcogenophene facilitated subsequent oxidative addition, thereby suppressing the possibility of chain-transfer or chain-termination. More significantly, the Ni catalyst could walk over the distance of three rings (ca. 1 nm)—from a thiophene unit via a selenophene unit to a tellurophene unit—to form PSSeTe, the first ABC-type regioregular and periodic poly(terchalcogenophene) comprising three different types of 3-hexylchalcogenophenes.

Three unsymmetrical diiodobichalcogenophenes SSeI2, STeI2, and SeTeI2 and a diiodoterchalcogenophene SSeTeI2 were prepared to synthesize a new class of polychalcogenophenes with precisely controlled sequences by catalyst-transfer polycondensation.  相似文献
