We prove the existence of an m-parameter family of global solutions of a system of difference-differential equations. For difference-differential equations on a torus, we introduce the notion of rotation number. We also consider the problem of perturbation of an invariant torus of a system of difference-differential equations and study the problem of the existence of periodic and quasiperiodic solutions of second-order difference-differential equations.  相似文献

In this paper, the geometrical design for the blade's surface in an impeller or for the profile of an aircraft, is modeled from the mathematical point of view by a boundary shape control problem for the Navier-Stokes equations. The objective function is the sum of a global dissipative function and the power of the fluid. The control variables are the geometry of the boundary and the state equations are the Navier-Stokes equations. The Euler-Lagrange equations of the optimal control problem are derived, which are an elliptic boundary value system of fourth order, coupled with the Navier-Stokes equations. The authors also prove the existence of the solution of the optimal control problem, the existence of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations with mixed boundary conditions, the weak continuity of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations with respect to the geometry shape of the blade's surface and the existence of solutions of the equations for the Gateaux derivative of the solution of the Navier-Stokes equations with respect to the geometry of the boundary.  相似文献

We state an optimal control problem of the coupled quasi-stationary radiative heat equations consisting of the radiative transfer equation and the instationary heat transfer equation that model radiative-conductive heat transfer. We give an existence and uniqueness result for the state equations and the adjoint equations of the quasi-stationary radiative heat transfer system. We consider a nonlinear system of integral equations describing the structure of a plane shock wave. Based on physical reasoning, we propose an iterative method for constructing an approximate solution of this system. The problem reduces to studying decoupled scalar nonlinear and linear integral equations for the gas temperature, density, and velocity. We formulate a theorem on the existence of a positive bounded solution of a nonlinear equation of the Uryson type. We also prove theorems on the existence and uniqueness of bounded positive solutions for linear integral equations in the space L 1[?r, r] for all finite r < +∞. For a more general nonlinear integral equation, we prove a theorem on the existence of a positive solution and also find a lower bound and an integral upper bound for the constructed solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with a class of abstract second-order nonlocal Cauchy problem with impulsive conditions in Banach spaces. First, we study the existence of mild solutions for a class of second-order nonlocal Cauchy problem with impulsive conditions in Banach spaces on an interval [0,a]. Later, we study a couple of cases where we can establish the existence of global solutions for a class of abstract second-order nonlocal Cauchy problem with impulsive conditions in Banach spaces. This paper deals with the existence of mild L-quasi-solutions to the initial value problem for a class of semilinear impulsive evolution equations in an ordered Banach space E. Under a new concept of upper and lower solutions, a new monotone iterative technique on the initial value problem of impulsive evolution equations has been established. The results improve and extend some relevant results in ordinary differential equations and partial differential equations. An example is also given.  相似文献

In this paper we prove the existence of a unique solution for a class of stochastic parabolic partial differential equations in bounded domains, with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The main tool is an equivalence result, provided by the stochastic characteristics method, between the stochastic equations under investigation and a class of deterministic parabolic equations with moving boundaries, depending on random coefficients. We show the existence of the solution to this last problem, thus providing a solution to the former.  相似文献

We justify the application of the averaging method to optimal control problems for systems of differential equations on the half-line. For optimal control problems for systems of differential equations linear in the control, we prove the existence of optimal controls for the exact and averaged problems. The existence of a unique solution to Maxwell's equations defined in an exterior domain with impedance boundary condition is established for all frequencies. This is accomplished by reducing this problem to that of solving a system of singular integral equations and then regularizing this system such that the Riesz theory is applicable. We also consider the inverse problem in which it is desired to determine the impedance from a knowledge of the far field pattern. By restricting the impedance to lie a priori in a compact set results are obtained on the existence, uniqueness, and stability of the solution to this inverse scattering problem.  相似文献

Global existence of smooth solutions is proved for an effective theory of bubbly liquids for either the initial value problem or initial boundary value problem in one dimension. This shows that the theory does not describe shock waves or bubble collapse. Since the analysis is not for the steady boundary value problem, there is no discussion of resonance. The proof uses a semilinear form of the equations to get local existence. A priori bounds resulting from energy conservation and a nonlinear Gronwall-like inequality are then derived to prove global existence.  相似文献

A class of reaction-diffusion equations with time delay and nonlocal response is considered. Assuming that the corresponding reaction equations have heteroclinic orbits connecting an equilibrium point and a periodic solution, we show the existence of traveling wave solutions of large wave speed joining an equilibrium point and a periodic solution for reaction-diffusion equations. Our approach is based on a transformation of the differential equations to integral equations in a Banach space and the rigorous analysis of the property for a corresponding linear operator. Our approach eventually reduces a singular perturbation problem to a regular perturbation problem. The existence of traveling wave solution therefore is obtained by the application of Liapunov-Schmidt method and the Implicit Function Theorem.  相似文献

A mixed problem for a system of differential equations with operator coefficients is considered on an interval. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of at least one solution of the given problem are investigated. It is established that the linear manifold of the solutions of the homogeneous problem is finite-dimensional. In this paper, the eigenvalue problem of a class of linear partial difference equations is studied. The results concern the existence of eigenvalues, their character (real, positive), as well as the behavior of its eigenfunctions (positivity, oscillation). Moreover a theorem is given concerning the existence of a unique solution of an associated non-homogeneous partial difference equation. The results generalize previously known results for ordinary linear difference equations. The method used is a functional-analytic one, which transforms the eigenvalue problem for the difference equation into the equivalent problem of the eigenvalues of an operator defined on an abstract separable Hilbert space.  相似文献

We consider the controlled stochastic Navier–Stokes equations in a bounded multidimensional domain, where the noise term allows jumps. In order to prove existence and uniqueness of an optimal control w.r.t. a given control problem, we first need to show the existence and uniqueness of a local mild solution of the considered controlled stochastic Navier–Stokes equations. We then discuss the control problem, where the related cost functional includes stopping times dependent on controls. Based on the continuity of the cost functional, we can apply existence and uniqueness results provided in [4], which enables us to show that a unique optimal control exists.  相似文献

We study a non-linear semi-periodic boundary-value problem for a system of hyperbolic equations with mixed derivative. At that, the semi-periodic boundary-value problem for a system of hyperbolic equations is reduced to an equivalent problem, consisting of a family of periodic boundary-value problems for ordinary differential equations and functional relation. When solving a family of periodic boundary-value problems of ordinary differential equations we use the method of parameterization. This approach allowed to establish sufficient conditions for the existence of an isolated solution of non-linear semi-periodic boundary-value problem for a system of hyperbolic equations.  相似文献

In this article we consider a linear electromagnetic material characterized by a rate-type equation for the electric conduction in order to consider memory effects for this field. After deriving the restrictions imposed by the thermodynamic principles on the constitutive equations, we introduce the free energy useful to show the existence of a domain of dependence. Then, theorems of existence and uniqueness of weak and strong solutions are established for the initial-boundary value problem for the system of Maxwell's equations. A weighted norm inequality of Muckenhoupt–Wheeden type is obtained for gradients of solutions to a class of quasilinear equations with measure data on Reifenberg flat domains. This essentially leads to a resolution of an existence problem for quasilinear Riccati type equations with a gradient source term of arbitrary power law growth.  相似文献
