In the present paper the unique solvability of two non‐local problems for the mixed parabolic‐hyperbolic type equation with complex spectral parameter is proved. Sectors for values of the spectral parameter where these problems have unique solutions are shown. Uniqueness of the solution is proved by the method of energy integral and existence is proved by the method of integral equations. This article deals with a boundary value problem for Laplace equation with a non‐linear and non‐local boundary condition. This problem comes from petroleum engineering and is used to obtain an estimation of well productivity. The non‐linear and non‐local boundary condition is written on the well boundary. On the outer reservoir boundaries, we have both Dirichlet and Neumann conditions. In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a solution to this problem. The existence is proved by Schauder theorem and the uniqueness is obtained under more restricted conditions, when the involved operator is a contraction. The paper is devoted to the investigation of a parabolic partial differential equation with non‐local and time‐dependent boundary conditions arising from ductal carcinoma in situ model. Approximation solution of the present problem is implemented by the Ritz–Galerkin method, which is a first attempt at tackling parabolic equation with such non‐classical boundary conditions. In the process of dealing with the difficulty caused by integral term in non‐local boundary condition, we use a trick of introducing the transition function G(x,t) to convert non‐local boundary to another non‐classical boundary, which can be handled with the Ritz–Galerkin method. We consider the non‐local singular boundary value problem (1) where qC0([0,1]) and f, hC0((0,∞)), limf(x)=?∞, limh(x)=∞. We present conditions guaranteeing the existence of a solution xC1([0,1]) ∩ C2((0,1]) which is positive on (0,1]. This paper deals with the blow‐up phenomena for a system of parabolic equations with nonlinear boundary conditions. We show that under some conditions on the nonlinearities, blow‐up occurs at some finite time. We also obtain upper and lower bounds for the blow‐up time when blow‐up occurs. In this paper we look at a probabilistic approach to a non‐local quadratic form that has lately attracted some interest. This form is related to a recently introduced non‐local normal derivative. The goal is to construct two Markov processes: one corresponding to that form and the other which is related to a probabilistic interpretation of the Neumann problem. We consider a non‐autonomous Cauchy problem where is associated with the form , where V and H are Hilbert spaces such that V is continuously and densely embedded in H. We prove H‐maximal regularity, i.e., the weak solution u is actually in (if and ) under a new regularity condition on the form with respect to time; namely Hölder continuity with values in an interpolation space. This result is best suited to treat Robin boundary conditions. The maximal regularity allows one to use fixed point arguments to some non linear parabolic problems with Robin boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, boundary integral formulations for a time‐harmonic acoustic scattering‐resonance problem are analyzed. The eigenvalues of eigenvalue problems resulting from boundary integral formulations for scattering‐resonance problems split in general into two parts. One part consists of scattering‐resonances, and the other one corresponds to eigenvalues of some Laplacian eigenvalue problem for the interior of the scatterer. The proposed combined boundary integral formulations enable a better separation of the unwanted spectrum from the scattering‐resonances, which allows in practical computations a reliable and simple identification of the scattering‐resonances in particular for non‐convex domains. The convergence of conforming Galerkin boundary element approximations for the combined boundary integral formulations of the resonance problem is shown in canonical trace spaces. We consider additive two‐level preconditioners, with a local and a global component, for the Schur complement system arising in non‐overlapping domain decomposition methods. We propose two new parallelizable local preconditioners. The first one is a computationally cheap but numerically relevant alternative to the classical block Jacobi preconditioner. The second one exploits all the information from the local Schur complement matrices and demonstrates an attractive numerical behaviour on heterogeneous and anisotropic problems. We also propose two implementations based on approximate Schur complement matrices that are cheaper alternatives to construct the given preconditioners but that preserve their good numerical behaviour. Through extensive computational experiments we study the numerical scalability and the robustness of the proposed preconditioners and compare their numerical performance with well‐known robust preconditioners such as BPS and the balancing Neumann–Neumann method. In the context of time harmonic wave scattering by piecewise homogeneous penetrable objects, we present a new variant of the multitrace boundary integral formulation, that differs from the local multitrace approach of (Jerez‐Hanckes and Hiptmair, 2012) [13] by the presence of regularization terms involving boundary integral operators and localized at junctions i.e. points where at least three subdomains abut. In this paper, we first show that quite different from the autonomous case, the exact boundary controllability for non‐autonomous wave equations possesses various possibilities. Then we adopt a constructive method to establish the exact boundary controllability for one‐dimensional non‐autonomous quasilinear wave equations with various types of boundary conditions. This paper is concerned with adaptive global stabilization of an undamped non‐linear string in the case where any velocity feedback is not available. The linearized system may have an infinite number of poles and zeros on the imaginary axis. In the case where any velocity feedback is not available, a parallel compensator is effective. The adaptive stabilizer is constructed for the augmented system which consists of the controlled system and a parallel compensator. The main object under consideration in the paper is the second derivative operator on a finite interval with zero boundary conditions perturbed by a self‐adjoint integral operator with the degenerate kernel (non‐local potential). The inverse problem, i.e., the reconstruction of the perturbation from the spectral data, is solved by means of the step‐by‐step procedure based on the n‐interlacing property of the spectrum.  相似文献
