Nucleon transfer accompanied by Coulomb excitation was studied in the system206Pb+232Th atE Lab=6.4 MeV/u. Particle-particle-gamma coincidence techniques were used to identify excited states of reaction products populated through inelastic scattering and nucleon transfer reactions. The mean excitation energy was measured by means of aγ-ray energy and multiplicity filter consisting of 6 NaI detectors. Large cross sections for one-neutron and two-neutron pick-up from232Th are observed. The impact-parameter dependence of the neutron transfer is analyzed in terms of semiclassical barrier penetration models. Using realistic neutron potentials with a diffuse surface, the experimental data are in accordance with the assumption of a “cold” transfer to states near the yrast line.  相似文献

The (3He,d) and (α,t) single-proton transfer reactions on targets of152Sm,154Gd and156Gd were studied at 35MeV incident energy. Differential cross sections of rotational states built upon various single-proton configurations are compared with results of DWBA calculations which employed various radial form factors. The agreement between calculated and measured reaction cross sections is found to improve significantly when the commonly used spherical bound-state potentials are replaced by deformed ones, including deformed Coulomb and spin-orbit wells, and projected form factors are used to calculate DWBA cross sections. Discrepancies in the differential cross sections so large that they cannot be attributed to band mixing phenomena are readily explained by form factor effects.  相似文献

Time-of-flight gating techniques have been used to study the decay γ-rays from states excited by inelastic scattering of neutrons from232Th and238U. Neutron energies up to 1900 MeV have been used. From accurate determinations of the γ-ray energies, intensities and thresholds, detailed level and decay schemes have been obtained for232Th and238U. New levels in both nuclei are observed at larger excitations than before and the present work is incompatible with some previously accepted spin and collective band assignments derived from Coulomb excitation studies.  相似文献

We present a coherent coupled-channel analysis of 7 MeV neutron and 16 MeV proton elastic and inelastic scattering from 148, 152, 154Sm. The optical potential and nuclear deformation parameters are determined so as to fit not only these elastic and inelastic scattering data but also the low-energy neutron scattering properties and the total cross sections over a wide energy range. This analysis provides evidence of the same excitation strengths for both projectiles in the case of 152, 154Sm, and of a smaller excitation strength for the proton than for the neutron in case of 148Sm. Moreover the quadrupole moments of these deformed optical potentials are in good agreement with those extracted from Coulomb excitation measurements and from nuclear matter distribution calculations.  相似文献

A study of few nucleon transfer reactions in conjunction with Coulomb excitation was performed by bombarding a232Th target with90Zr projectiles at incident energies close to the Coulomb barrier. Particle-γ coincidence techniques using the Heidelberg-Darmstadt Crystal Ball were employed to select excited states of reaction products. Around the grazing angle roughly 2/3 of the total cross section goes into transfer channels, half of it formed by 1n...4n transfer. The enhancement of the 2n cross section is in accord with a sequential process with a highly excited intermediate state. A correlated pair transfer directly populating yrast states appears to be negligibly small. The excitation energy is almost equally distributed upon the outgoing reaction partners for the 1n channel and there are indications for a similar behaviour of the 2n channel.  相似文献

Primary capture gamma rays following multiple neutron capture in151Eu have been measured as a function of the irradiation time. Neutron capture cross sections of the152Eu 3? groundstate and of the152Eu 0? isomer (T 1/2=9.3h) were determined. These cross sections are relevant for the interpretation of inelastic scattering of neutrons at isomeric states with energy gain (neutron acceleration). The level scheme of153Eu has been extended. Neutron binding energies of152Eu,153Eu,153Gd and154Gd are given.  相似文献

Elastic scattering of 16O on 148, 150, 152Sm isotopes and inelastic scattering leading to the first 2+ state for the three isotopes and the 4+ state for 152Sm have been measured at several energies in the vicinity of the Coulomb barrier. The whole set of data was reproduced at forward angles with an effective potential taking into account Coulomb excitation and in the full angular range by CCBA calculations including separate nuclear and Coulomb deformations.  相似文献

Asymmetries and differential cross sections have been measured for elastic and inelastic scattering of 24.5 MeV polarized protons from the spherical nucleus 148Sm. The comparison with the results of an asymmetry measurement at the same proton energy on the rotational nucleus 152Sm shows significant differences for the first 2+ states. A coupled-channels analysis for the first 2+ and 3 states in 148Sm and for the 2+ and 4+ states of the ground-state rotational band in 152Sm fits the experimental data very well.  相似文献

Angular distributions are measured for 12 MeV deuterons scattered to the 2+ and 4+ states in 152Sm and 162Dy. By including the couplings of the ground state to the low-lying excited states, it is shown that the experimental results can be explained by using optical model parameters form a spherical nucleus. Deformation amplitudes are deduced and compared to those found from inelastic α-particle scattering and from Coulomb excitation.  相似文献

A coupled channels calculation including multistep inelastic excitations induced by nuclear as well as Coulomb interactions has been performed for the reactions 148Sm(18O, 16O) and 150Sm(16O, 18O). The 2+ states were treated as vibrational, using BCS + RPA wavefunctions. The calculation is consistent with experimental data, both as far as absolute cross-sections are concerned, and also in explaining the different interference pattern of the 2+ states, near the grazing angle, in stripping and pick-up.  相似文献

Angular distributions of elastic and inelastic scattering have been measured for152Sm+12C at 63.2 MeV and148Nd+16O at 90.9 MeV. An evident interference pattern in the inelastic scattering has been observed for the first time in a strong Coulomb coupling system. We are indebted to Dr. S. Mechanisms of heavy-ion induced nuclear reactions in mass-asymmetric systems were studied by focusing on the nucleon transfer reaction. Excitation functions and projected mean recoil ranges for the target-like products in37-,16O-,14N-, and12C-induced reactions on197Au were measured by means ofγ-ray spectrometry. The energy range studied was near the Coulomb barrier of the systems with incident energies below 10 MeV/u. Nucleon transfer reactions were discussed by distinguishing the products from quasi-elastic transfer (QET) and those from deep inelastic transfer (DIT). The tendency towards equilibration of theN/Z value and the energy damping, which are the characteristic features of DIT, were found in the production of Au isotopes. Observations are consistent with the generally accepted concept that QET takes place along a trajectory near the Coulomb trajectory. QET was made to be connected with the interaction radius and most of the cross section ratios were reproduced well by an extended tunneling model.  相似文献

The excitation of collective nuclear states by high energy particles is considered within the framework of the Glauber theory. The approach is based on the adiabatic approximation and expansion of the scattering amplitude in powers of the nonsphericity parameter. The formulae for the excitation cross sections of the rotational and one- and two-phonon vibrational states, as well as the elastic scattering cross section with the collective motion included, are obtained. The effect of nucleon correlations in both elastic and inelastic cross sections is also studied. The theoretical predictions are compared to new data on 1 GeV proton scattering by 58Ni, 208Pb, 12C, 40Ca and 39K. A comparison with electron scattering data is simultaneously carried out. The agreement with the experimental data is generally good.  相似文献

Medium energy proton elastic and inelastic scattering to states of 58Ni and 208Pb, and 4He elastic and inelastic scattering to states of 40Ca, are analyzed using the partial wave approach, by solving the Schrödinger equation with relativistic kinematics and using the distorted wave Born approximation. Our results can be compared with results of several previous analyses of the nucleon inelastic data using the Glauber approximation. Our calculations are absolute, using nuclear collective parameters obtained from a survey of a large number of low-energy analyses of inelastic scattering of electrons, nucleons and nuclei from 40Ca, 58Ni and 208Pb.  相似文献
