The new method proposed recently by Friedberg, Lee,and Zhao is extended to obtain an analytic expansion for the ground-state wavefunction of a time-dependent strong-coupling Schrödinger equation. Two different types of the time-dependent harmonic oscillators are considered as examples for application of the time-dependent expansion. It is shown that the time-dependent strong-coupling expansion is applicable to the time-dependent harmonic oscillators with a slowly varying time-dependent parameter.  相似文献

We formulate the second quantization of a charged scalar field in homogeneous, time-dependent electromagnetic fields, in which the Hamiltonian is an infinite system of decoupled, time-dependent oscillators for electric fields, but it is another infinite system of coupled, time-dependent oscillators for magnetic fields. We then employ the quantum invariant method to find various quantum states for the charged field. For time-dependent electric fields, a pair of quantum invariant operators for each oscillator with the given momentum plays the role of the time-dependent annihilation and the creation operators, constructs the exact quantum states, and gives the vacuum persistence amplitude as well as the pair-production rate. We also find the quantum invariants for the coupled oscillators for the charged field in time-dependent magnetic fields and advance a perturbation method when the magnetic fields change adiabatically. Finally, the quantum state and the pair production are discussed when a time-dependent electric field is present in parallel to the magnetic field.  相似文献

Dynamics of strongly nonlinear systems can in many cases be modelled by bilinear oscillators, which are the oscillators whose springs have different stiffnesses in compression and tension. This underpins the analysis of a wide range of phenomena, from oscillations of fragmented structures, connections and mooring lines to deformation of geological media. Single bilinear oscillators were studied previously and the presence of multiple resonances both super- and sub-harmonic was found. Less attention was paid to systems of multiple bilinear oscillators that describe many natural and engineering processes such as for example the behaviour of fragmented solids. Here we fill this gap concentrating on the simplest case – 1D symmetrical chains of bilinear oscillators. We show that the presence and structure of resonances in a symmetric chain of bilinear oscillators with fixed ends depends upon the number of oscillating masses. Two elementary chains act as the basic ones: a single mass bilinear chain (a mass connected to the fixed points by two bilinear springs) that behaves as a linear oscillator with a single resonance and a two mass chain that is a coupled bilinear oscillator (two masses connected by three bilinear springs). The latter has multiple resonances. We demonstrate that longer chains either do not have resonances or get decomposed, in the resonance, into either the single mass or two mass elementary chains with stationary masses in between. The resonance frequencies are inherited from the basic chains of decomposition. We show that if the number of masses is odd the chain can be decomposed into the single mass bilinear chains separated by stationary masses. It then inherits the resonances of the single mass bilinear chain. The chains with the number of masses minus 2 divisible by 3 can be decomposed into the two mass bilinear chains separated by stationary masses and inherit the resonances of the two mass chains. The chains whose lengths satisfy both criteria (such as chains with 5, 11, 17 … masses) allow both types of resonances.  相似文献

A “microscopic” justification of the “symmetric damping” model of a quantum oscillator with time-dependent frequency and time-dependent damping is given. This model is used to predict the results of experiments on simulating the dynamical Casimir effect in a cavity with a photo-excited semiconductor mirror. It is shown that the most general bilinear time-dependent coupling of a selected oscillator (field mode) to a bath of harmonic oscillators results in two equal friction coefficients for the both quadratures, provided all the coupling coefficients are proportional to a single arbitrary function of time whose duration is much shorter than the periods of all oscillators. The choice of coupling in the rotating wave approximation form leads to the “minimum noise” model of the quantum damped oscillator, introduced earlier in a pure phenomenological way.  相似文献

The quantum harmonic oscillator with time-dependent mass and frequency is analyzed by using the canonical transformation method. The varying mass and frequency of the system are reduced to constant mass and frequency, and the corresponding eigenvalues and eigenvectors are derived. The exact time-dependent coherent state of the harmonic oscillator is constructed and shown to be equivalent to the squeezed state. Damped harmonic oscillators with different frictions and forced time-dependent harmonic oscillators are also discussed.  相似文献

We construct integrals of motion for several models of the quantum damped oscillators in a framework of a general approach to the time-dependent Schrödinger equation with variable quadratic Hamiltonians. An extension of the Lewis-Riesenfeld dynamical invariant is given. The time-evolution of the expectation values of the energy-related positive operators is determined for the oscillators under consideration. A proof of uniqueness of the corresponding Cauchy initial value problem is discussed as an application.  相似文献

We transform the time-dependent Schrödinger equation for the most general variable quadratic Hamiltonians into a standard autonomous form. As a result, the time evolution of exact wave functions of generalized harmonic oscillators is determined in terms of the solutions of certain Ermakov and Riccatitype systems. In addition, we show that the classical Arnold transform is naturally connected with Ehrenfest’s theorem for generalized harmonic oscillators.  相似文献

We examine the energy harvesting system consisted of two different masses (magnets) attached to piezoelastic oscillators, coupled by the electric circuit, and driven by harmonic excitations. The nonlinearity of the system is achieved by variable distance between vibrating magnetic masses and the magnets attached directly to the harvester. We also introduce the mistuning parameter which describes the disproportion of vibrating masses (their ratio). In our work we examine the dependence of output power (in terms of mean squared voltage) generated on electric load on excitation frequencies for different values of mistuning parameter and additionally for different values of system nonlinearity parameter. We compare obtained results with the dia- grams presenting relative displacements of these oscillators (in terms of standard deviation) vs. excitation frequencies. In the second part of this paper we present the phase boundary lines (phase portraits) for selected values of applied frequency to show the complicated behavior of the oscillators in the nonlinear regime when the mistuning appears.  相似文献

The present review is devoted to the study of certain aspects of anharmonic, time-dependent and damped oscillator(s) system using different theoretical techniques. A theoretical understanding of these systems is important for application in many problems in physics, mechanics and other fields. We discuss in detail the difficulties in the theoretical analysis of the problem. In particular we discuss here the regular, well-behaved perturbative solution, the large quantum number behaviour of anharmonic oscillator(s) using the technique of coherent states, exact solution of quantum anharmonic oscillators, the electromagnetic radiation emitted by a charged particle executing damped anharmonic oscillator motion using Krylov-Bogoliubov approximation method, use of invariants to obtain solution and coherent states of time-dependent oscillator(s), the derivation of perturbative frequencies of a damped coupled anharmonic oscillators system using suitable canonical transformation in the framework of Hamilton-Jacobi formalism and the quantisation and construction of coherent states of a damped oscillator using time-dependent operators.  相似文献

Time-evolution of the vibrational states of two interacting harmonic oscillators in the local mode scheme is presented. A local-to-normal mode transition (LNT) is identified and studied from temporal perspective through time-dependent frequencies of the oscillators. The LNT is established as a polyad-breaking phenomenon from the local standpoint for the stretching degrees of freedom in a triatomic molecule. This study is carried out in the algebraic representation of bosonic operators. The dynamics of the states are determined via the solutions of the corresponding nonlinear Ermakov equation and a local time-dependent polyad is obtained as a tool to identify the LNT. Applications of this formalism to H2O, CO2, O3 and NO2 molecules in the adiabatic, sudden and linear regime are considered.  相似文献

A Fibonacci chain is composed of oscillators with two different masses and its total (even) number of oscillators N is associated with Fibonacci numbers. The momentum autocorrelation function of a specific oscillator in the chain is shown to be combination of 1?+?(N/2) cosines, their frequencies and amplitudes are calculated numerically for N????40. We show that the time-dependent two-mode Fresnel operator is just the time-evolutional unitary operator governed by the Hamiltonian composed of quadratic combination of canonical operators in the way of exhibiting SU(1,1) algebra. This is an approach for obtaining the time-dependent Hamiltonian from the preassigned time evolution in classical phase space, an approach which is in contrast to Lewis-Riesenfeld's invariant operator theory of treating timedependent harmonic oscillators.  相似文献

The influence of a set of satellite oscillators on the response behavior of a master oscillator, to which the set is coupled, is of fundamental significance to structural acoustics and beyond. The focus is largely on the induced loss factor that the satellite oscillators generate in the impedance of the master oscillator. Much of the research work performed on behalf of this investigation employed basically sprung masses for the satellite oscillators. A sprung mass is a primitive type of satellite oscillator and, as such, limitations are imposed on the range of applicability of these research works. In this paper more elaborate satellite oscillators are introduced; and, especially, a wider range of coupling forms and strengths are investigated. A number of new insights are, thereby, obtained. In particular, this paper facilitates further studies of the relationships among the linear impedance analysis, the energy analysis and the statistical energy analysis. These studies are in progress and will be subsequently reported.  相似文献
