We present a calculation scheme with significant modifications and improvements for determining the ionization balance and the ion temperature evolution in an electron beam ion trap (EBIT). The scheme is applied to uranium and nitrogen ions using a specific set of EBIT operating parameters. The calculation results are compared to the experimental data. Rates for the individual atomic processes in EBIT, especially single and multiple charge exchange processes, are discussed. The time evolution of the ion temperatures for uranium and its coolant nitrogen are also given.  相似文献

Based on the time-convolutionless master-equation approach, we investigate the squeezing dynamics of two atoms in dissipative cavities. We find that the atomic squeezing is related to initial atomic states, atom–cavity couplings, nonMarkovian effects and resonant frequencies of an atom and its cavity. The results show that a collapse–revival phenomenon will occur in the atomic squeezing and this process is accompanied by the buildup and decay of entanglement between two atoms. Enhancing the atom–cavity coupling can increase the frequency of the collapse–revival of the atomic squeezing.The stronger the non-Markovian effect is, the more obvious the collapse–revival phenomenon is. In particular, if the atom–cavity coupling or the non-Markovian effect is very strong, the atomic squeezing will tend to a stably periodic oscillation in a long time. The oscillatory frequency of the atomic squeezing is dependent on the resonant frequency of the atom and its cavity.  相似文献

The kaon production in heavy ion collisions at intermediate energies provides a sensitive probe to study the in-medium properties and nuclear equation of state of hadrons. Properties of kaons in dense hadronic matter are important for a better understanding of both, the possible restoration of chiral symmetry in dense hadronic matter and the properties of nuclear matter at high densities. We investigated the in-medium kaon potential and nuclear equation of state by transverse mass spectra of K + mesons in heavy ion collisions. We use quantum molecular dynamics (QMD) models based on covariant kaon dynamics to simulate ${_{28}^{58}Ni +_{28}^{58}Ni}$ collisions at 1.93 A GeV, to analyze the transverse mass spectra of K +. Calculated results with a repulsive in-medium K +N potential can reasonably describe the features of KaoS data. They also shown that the transverse mass spectrum of K + mesons is a sensitive observable to probe the kaon in-medium potential in dense nuclear matter.  相似文献

A survey of experimental results obtained by studying chiral effects in nucleus–nucleus collisions at various energies is presented. The entire body of these experimental results confirms indirectly a topologically nontrivial structure of the QCD vacuum and the possibility of a local violation of discrete QCD symmetries at finite temperature. A significant decrease in the asymmetry of the distribution of electrically charged particles with respect to the reaction plane in heavy-ion collisions in the energy range of \(\sqrt {sNN} \) GeVmay be indicative of a possible transition to the region where hadron states dominate over quark–gluon degrees of freedom in a mixed phase formed in nucleus–nucleus collisions at intermediate energies.  相似文献

Evolution of the microstructure and optical properties of ZnO nanoparticles in a mild sol–gel synthesis process is studied. The ZnO nanostructures were prepared by reacting zinc acetate dihydrate with NaOH in water at 50−60 °C. Evolution of ZnO nanostructures with reaction time is studied using UV–Vis spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy techniques. During the process of Zn2+ hydroxylation, well defined rod-like crystals were formed within 15 min. Further hydroxylation leads to the formation of a gel-like structure within about 45 min. However, XRD, FT-IR and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed that these initial products were zinc hydroxyl double salts (Zn-HDS), not ZnO. On ageing the reaction mixture, ZnO nanoparticles with wurtzite structure evolved.  相似文献

We demonstrate the spin interactions between dispersedly trapped electrons and holes in a semiconductor using the double electron–electron resonance (DEER) method of the pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) techniques. An aluminum-doped titanium dioxide crystal is adopted as a spin system, in which optically generated electrons and holes are trapped, to reveal EPR signals that appear close to each other at a selected crystal orientation under an external magnetic field. We used the four-pulse DEER method by applying two microwave frequencies to a microwave cavity for pumping electrons and probing holes at the optimum temperature of 32 K. The dipolar modulation in the probed signal by pumping interacting spins was successfully detected. The observed non-oscillating decay shape indicates that the detected interaction is caused by widely distributed trapped electron and hole spins over long distances. We were able to extract a spin-pair distribution function by the first derivative of a background-corrected curve, referring to a previously reported method.  相似文献

In this paper the correlations dynamics of two atoms in the case of a micromaser-type system is investigated. Our results predict certain quasi-periodic collapse and revival phenomena for quantum discord and entanglement when the field is in Fock state and the two atoms are initially in maximally mixed state, which is a special separable state. Our calculations also show that the oscillations of the time evolution of both quantum discord and entanglement are almost in phase and they both have similar evolution behavior in some time range. The fact reveals the consistency of quantum discord and entanglement in some dynamical aspects.  相似文献

The optical absorption induced by the photosensitive centers formed upon electron irradiation (E = 5 MeV, = 1.7·1018 cm–2) of polycrystalline ZnSe has been studied. A comparison of the optical properties of the irradiated crystals with the known data for ZnS has allowed the assumption that the 496–, 563–, and 652–nm bands in ZnSe are associated with the anion vacancies being in different charge states. The ratio between the concentrations of the optical absorption centers in the crystals photoexcited at 80 K is determined by the electron traps participating in the processes of charge exchange of the vacancies.  相似文献

Directed flow and elliptic flow of final state particles in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions in the EMU01 experiment have been studied.The dependences of directed flow and elliptic flow on incident energy and impact centrality of outgoing particles are presented.The results exhibit strong dependence of flow on centrality and energy.We also suggest a more reliable way to determine the event plane resolution here.  相似文献

By taking the BUU model, we simulate the superheavy element synthesis reaction. With the rotation effect being included in the BUU model, the effect of the non-centrality of the reaction ^48Ca+^238U→^286 112 is studied. It is shown that the promising impact parameter in the synthesis process can be released from zero to a value little smaller than the radius of the smaller nucleus involved in the reaction. Meanwhile, the compound nucleus may involve rich shape phases.  相似文献

1 Electron velocity distributions and energy deposition of ECW Two set of soft X-ray spectra detection system consist of high performance sillicon drift detectors (SDD) , high speed A/D transform and processing software, software pulse height analyzer (SPHA). They are installed at mid plane ( r=0 ) and undermid plane ( r=-16.4 cm ) of HL-2A tokamak respectively to measure the time evolution of soft X-ray spectra. The degradation of Λ transverse polarization produced in S+Pb central collisions at energy 200 GeV per nucleon has been studied in detail. The S+Pb central collision events have been generated using Monte-Carlo generator——LUCIAE at 200 GeV per nucleon. The various factors degrading Λ transverse polarization have been analysed quantitatively. The ratios of Λ′s produced from rescattering, secondary production and decays of Σ, Ξ hyperons to the total measurable Λ′s in experiment have been investigeted and the degradation effect of these Λ on the total polarization has been determined. The simulation and calculation show that above three factors decrease the Λ transverse polarization strongly, however, can not eliminate the polarization completely when the Λ′s are assumed to be produced from hadronic gas in the final state. To explan the experimental data of vanished Λ polarization, it probably needs to consider new mechanisms of Λ production, including a weak effect of QGP formation.  相似文献
