Let X be an algebraic submanifold of the complex projective space $\mathbb{P}^N$ of dimension $n \geq 5$. We describe those $X \subset \mathbb{P}^N$ whose intersection with some hyperplane is a smooth simply normal crossing divisor $A_{1} + \cdots + A_{r}$ with $r \geq 2$ such that $g(A_{k}, L_{A_k}) \leq 1$ for $k=1,\ldots, r$.Received: 14 December 2001  相似文献

Let X be a smooth complex projective algebraic variety of maximal Albanese dimension. We give a characterization of in terms of the set . An immediate consequence of this is that the Kodaira dimension is invariant under smooth deformations. We then study the pluricanonical maps . We prove that if X is of general type, is generically finite for and birational for . More generally, we show that for the image of is of dimension equal to and for , is the stable canonical map. We call a metric space X (m,n)-equidistant if, when AX has exactly m points, there are exactly n points in X each of which is equidistant from (the points of) A. We prove that, for k≥2, the Euclidean space ℝ k contains an (m,1)-equidistant set if and only if km. Although the sphere is (3,2)-equidistant, and ℝ4 contain no (4,2)-equidistant sets. We discuss related results about projective spaces, and state a conjecture about analogous to the Double Midset Conjecture.  相似文献

Let be a very ample vector bundle of rank two on a smooth complex projective threefold X. An inequality about the third Segre class of is provided when is nef but not big, and when a suitable positive multiple of defines a morphism XB with connected fibers onto a smooth projective curve B, where KX is the canonical bundle of X. As an application, the case where the genus of B is positive and has a global section whose zero locus is a smooth hyperelliptic curve of genus ≧ 2 is investigated, and our previous result is improved for threefolds. Fix a smooth very ample curve C on a K3 or abelian surface X. Let $ \mathcal{M} $ denote the moduli space of pairs of the form (F, s), where F is a stable sheaf over X whose Hilbert polynomial coincides with that of the direct image, by the inclusion map of C in X, of a line bundle of degree d over C, and s is a nonzero section of F. Assume d to be sufficiently large such that F has a nonzero section. The pullback of the Mukai symplectic form on moduli spaces of stable sheaves over X is a holomorphic 2-form on $ \mathcal{M} $. On the other hand, $ \mathcal{M} $ has a map to a Hilbert scheme parametrizing 0-dimensional subschemes of X that sends (F, s) to the divisor, defined by s, on the curve defined by the support of F. We prove that the above 2-form on $ \mathcal{M} $ coincides with the pullback of the symplectic form on the Hilbert scheme.  相似文献

Let X be a smooth n-dimensional projective variety embedded in some projective space ℙ N over the field ℂ of the complex numbers. Associated with the general projection of X to a space ℙ N-m (N-m>n+1) one defines an extended Gauss map (in case N-m>2n-1 this is the Gauss map of the image of X under the projection). We prove that is smooth. In case any two different points of X do have disjoint tangent spaces then we prove that is injective.  相似文献

We give sufficient conditions on a class of R‐modules $\mathcal {C}We give sufficient conditions on a class of R‐modules $\mathcal {C}$ in order for the class of complexes of $\mathcal {C}$‐modules, $dw \mathcal {C}$, to be covering in the category of complexes of R‐modules. More precisely, we prove that if $\mathcal {C}$ is precovering in R ? Mod and if $\mathcal {C}$ is closed under direct limits, direct products, and extensions, then the class $dw \mathcal {C}$ is covering in Ch(R). Our first application concerns the class of Gorenstein flat modules. We show that when the ring R is two sided noetherian, a complex C is Gorenstein flat if and only if each module Cn is Gorenstein flat. If moreover every direct product of Gorenstein flat modules is a Gorenstein flat module, then the class of Gorenstein flat complexes is covering. We consider Gorenstein projective complexes as well. We prove that if R is a commutative noetherian ring of finite Krull dimension, then the class of Gorenstein projective complexes coincides with that of complexes of Gorenstein projective modules. We also show that if R is commutative noetherian with a dualizing complex then every right bounded complex has a Gorenstein projective precover.  相似文献

Let K be a number field and X1 and X2 two smooth projective curves defined over it. In this paper we prove an analogue of the Dyson theorem for the product X1×X2. If Xi=P1 we find the classical Dyson theorem. In general, it will imply a self contained and easy proof of Siegel theorem on integral points on hyperbolic curves and it will give some insight on effectiveness. This proof is new and avoids the use of Roth and Mordell-Weil theorems, the theory of Linear Forms in Logarithms and the Schmidt subspace theorem.  相似文献

Associated to a projective arrangement of hyperplanes ${\mathcal A}$ n is the module D$({\mathcal A})$, which consists of derivations tangent to ${\mathcal A}$. We study D$({\mathcal A})$ when ${\mathcal A}$ is a configuration of lines in 2. In this setting, we relate the deletion/restriction construction used in the study of hyperplane arrangements to elementary modifications of bundles. This allows us to obtain bounds on the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of D$({\mathcal A})$. We also give simple combinatorial conditions for the associated bundle to be stable, and describe its jump lines. These regularity bounds and stability considerations impose constraints on Teraos conjecture.  相似文献

Under the assumption that X admits a smooth projective model p: X? C{\pi: \mathcal{X}\to C}, we prove the following weak approximation results: (1) if k is a large field, then X(K) is Zariski dense; (2) if k is an infinite algebraic extension of a finite field, then X satisfies weak approximation at places of good reduction; (3) if k is a nonarchimedean local field and R-equivalence is trivial on one of the fibers Xp{\mathcal{X}_p} over points of good reduction, then there is a Zariski dense subset W í C(k){W\subseteq C(k)} such that X satisfies weak approximation at places in W. As applications of the methods, we also obtain the following results over a finite field k: (4) if |k| > 10, then for a smooth cubic hypersurface X/K, the specialization map X(K)? ?p ? PXp(k(p)){X(K)\longrightarrow \prod_{p\in P}\mathcal{X}_p(\kappa(p))} at finitely many points of good reduction is surjective; (5) if char k 1 2, 3{\mathrm{char}\,k\neq 2,\,3} and |k| > 47, then a smooth cubic surface X over K satisfies weak approximation at any given place of good reduction.  相似文献

We show that if X is a complex space of dimension n which is cohomologically q-convex (resp., cohomologically q-complete), then $ H^{i}_{c} (X, \mathbb{C}) $ is a finite dimensional vector space (resp., vanishes) for $ i \leq \nu_{q}(X)-q $, where the number $ \nu_{q}(X) $ depends on the nature of singularities of X and equals n if X is smooth.  相似文献

If M is a smooth projective variety whose motive is Kimura finite‐dimensional and for which the standard Lefschetz Conjecture B holds, then the motive of M splits off a primitive motive whose cohomology is the primitive cohomology. Under the same hypotheses on M, let X be a smooth complete intersection of ample divisors within M. Then the motive of X is the sum of a variable and a fixed motive inducing the corresponding splitting in cohomology. I also give variants with group actions.  相似文献

Auslander–Reiten sequences are the central item of Auslander–Reiten theory, which is one of the most important techniques for the investigation of the structure of abelian categories. This note considers X, a smooth projective scheme of dimension at least 1 over the field k, and , an indecomposable coherent sheaf on X. It is proved that in the category of quasi-coherent sheaves on X, there is an Auslander–Reiten sequence ending in .  相似文献

Let X be a smooth irreducible non-degenerated projective curve in some projective space PN. Let r be a positive integer such that 2r + 1 < N and let Sr(X) be the r-th secant variety of X. It is a variety of dimension 2r + 1. In this paper we prove that the singular locus is the (r - 1)-th secant variety Sr- 1(X) if X does not have any (2r + 2)-secant 2r-space divisor. The author gives a characterization of counterexamples to the Kodaira-Ramanujam vanishing theorem on smooth projective surfaces in positive characteristic. More precisely, it is reproved that if there is a counterexample to the Kodaira-Ramanujam vanishing theorem on a smooth projective surface X in positive characteristic, then X is either a quasi-elliptic surface of Kodaira dimension 1 or a surface of general type. Furthermore, it is proved that up to blow-ups, X admits a fibration to a smooth projective curve, such that each fiber is a singular curve.  相似文献

Let X be a geometrically irreducible smooth projective curve defined over the real numbers. Let nX be the number of connected components of the locus of real points of X. Let X be an irreducible smooth projective curve defined over the field of complex numbers, a finite set of closed points and N ≥ 2 a fixed integer. For any pair , there exists a parabolic vector bundle on X, with parabolic structure over S and all parabolic weights in , that has the following property: Take any parabolic vector bundle of rank r on X whose parabolic points are contained in S, all the parabolic weights are in and the parabolic degree is d. Then is parabolically semistable if and only if there is no nonzero parabolic homomorphism from to .  相似文献

Let X be a finitistic space having the mod 2 cohomology algebra of the product of two projective spaces. We study free involutions on X and determine the possible mod 2 cohomology algebra of orbit space of any free involution, using the Leray spectral sequence associated to the Borel fibration ${X \hookrightarrow X_{\mathbb{Z}_2} \longrightarrow B_{\mathbb{Z}_2}}$ . We also give an application of our result to show that if X has the mod 2 cohomology algebra of the product of two real projective spaces (respectively, complex projective spaces), then there does not exist any ${\mathbb{Z}_2}$ -equivariant map from ${\mathbb{S}^k \to X}$ for k ≥ 2 (respectively, k ≥ 3), where ${\mathbb{S}^k}$ is equipped with the antipodal involution.  相似文献
