The definition of entropy consistent with the Nernst theorem of ordinary thermodynamics contradicts the area theorem, which means the breakdown of weak energy condition in an adiabatic process. Such has never occurred in the ordinary thermodynamics. It implies that the extreme black hole is not so alike as the ordinary system and it cannot be treated as the limit of the non-extreme case. In consideration of the Bose-Einstein condensation of the scalar field, the quantum entropy of an extreme RNBH is proportional to the logarithm of the horizon area plus the logarithmic divergence of is a cutoff near the horizon. Electrical property is an important problem in the field of natural science and physics, which usually involves potential, current and resistance in the electric circuit. We investigate the electrical properties of an arbitrary hammock network, which has not been resolved before, and propose the exact potential formula of an arbitrary m × n hammock network by means of the Recursion-Transform method with current parameters(RT-I) pioneered by one of us [Z. Z. Tan, Phys. Rev. E 91(2015) 052122], and the branch currents and equivalent resistance of the network are derived naturally. Our key technique is to setting up matrix equations and making matrix transformation, the potential formula derived is a meaningful discovery, which deduces many novel applications. The discovery of potential formula of the hammock network provides new theoretical tools and techniques for related scientific research.  相似文献

The general-relativistic effects of an extreme Reissner-Nordström black hole on the flux of radiation emitted by a hot spot orbiting the hole with a thin accretion disk are investigated. The light curves, the redshift factor, and the solid angle against the spot orbit position are given. The results are then compared with those of a spot orbiting a Schwarzschild black hole.  相似文献

A rectangular m × n resistor network with an arbitrary boundary is investigated, and a general resistance formula between two nodes on an arbitrary axis is derived by the Recursion-Transform(RT) method, a problem that has never been resolved before, for the Green's function technique and the Laplacian matrix approach are inapplicable to it. To have the exact solution of resistance is important but it is difficult to obtain under the condition of arbitrary boundary. Our result is directly expressed in a single summation and mainly composed of characteristic roots, which contain both finite and infinite cases. Further, the current distribution is given explicitly as a byproduct of the method. Our framework can be effectively applied to RLC networks. As an application to the LC network, we find that our formulation leads to the occurrence of resonances at h_1= 1-cosφ_i-sinφ_icotnφ_i. This somewhat curious result suggests the possibility of practical applications of our formulae to resonant circuits.  相似文献

We demonstrate a 126-W all-fiberized single-mode laser from an 11-μm small-core fiber. The active fiber is a strictly single-mode fiber that produces pure single-mode. The optical to optical efficiency of the fiber laser is 68.2% with ASE suppressed by a factor of ∼35 dB and no power-roll. The output power is only limited by the available pump source, scaling the pump power may achieve much higher output power using the 11 μm small-core fiber.  相似文献

With the help of the Bohr–Sommerfeld quantization rule, the area spectrum of a charged, spherically symmetric spacetime is obtained by studying an adiabatic invariant action variable. The period of the Einstein–Maxwell system, which is related to the surface gravity of a given spacetime, is determined by Kruskal-like coordinates. It is shown that the area spectrum of the Reissner–Nordström black hole is evenly spaced and the spacing is the same as that of a Schwarzschild black hole, which indicates that the area spectrum of a black hole is independent of its parameters. In contrast to quasi-normal mode analysis, we do not impose the small charge limit, as the general area gap 8π is obtained.  相似文献

An intracavity quasi-phase-matched optical parametric oscillator (OPO) has been developed for the purpose of generating radiation with high average power and high repetition rate in the 2 μm regime. The device is a degenerate OPO based on a 3 mm thick MgO-doped periodically poled LiNbO(3) (PPMgLN) crystal, which is pumped in turn within the cavity by a diode side-pumped, Q-switched 1 μm Nd:YAG laser operating at 10 kHz. Up to 20 W broadband 2 μm radiation can be generated with a compact configuration under the crystal temperature of 115 °C. The beam profile is close to circularly symmetric with M(2) ~ 10.  相似文献

We demonstrate the passive mode-locking operation of an in-band-pumped Ho:YLiF(4) laser at 2.06 μm using a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror based on InGaAsSb quantum wells. A transform-limited pulse train with minimum duration of 1.1 ps and average power of 0.58 W has been obtained at a repetition frequency of 122 MHz. A maximum output power of 1.7 W has been generated with a corresponding pulse duration of 1.9 ps.  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrated an efficient optical parametric oscillator (OPO) with high parametric conversion from 1.0645 to 3.8?μm. An aperiodically poled magnesium oxide doped lithium niobate wafer was designed and fabricated as the nonlinear crystal of the OPO. A linearly polarized acousto-optic Q-switched Nd:YVO4 laser was used as the pump source. High pump-to-idler conversion efficiency of 18.5% was achieved with a slope efficiency of up to 21.5%. When compared with a periodically poled channel fabricated on the same wafer, under the condition of output coupler optimized for the periodically poled lithium niobate based OPO, an improvement of slope efficiency by 28.3% from 15.2% to 19.5% and total efficiency by 12.5% from 13.6% to 15.3% under the highest pump power of 11?W was realized for the pump-to-idler conversion.  相似文献

N_2O is a significant atmospheric greenhouse gas that contributes to global warming and climate change. In this work,the high sensitivity detection of atmospheric N_2O is achieved using wavelength modulation spectroscopy(WMS) with an inter-band cascade laser operating around 3.939 μm. A Lab VIEW-based software signal generator and software lock-in amplifiers are designed to simplify the system. In order to eliminate the interference from water vapor, the detection was performed at a pressure of 0.1 atm(1 atm = 1.01325×10~5 Pa) and a drying tube was added to the system. To improve the system performance for long term detection, a novel frequency locking method and 2 f/1 f calibration-free method were employed to lock the laser frequency and calibrate the power fluctuations, respectively. The Allan deviation analysis of the results indicates a detection limit of ~ 20 ppb(1 ppb = 1.81205 μg/m~3) for a 1 s integration time, and the optimal detection limit is ~ 5 ppb for a 40-s integration time.  相似文献

Molecular absorption lines due to vibrational-rotational transitions in14NH3 are observed near 1.5 m. An InGaAsP DFB laser is frequency stabilized to a linear absorption line within 500 MHz at 1543.08 nm. Such an absolute frequency-stabilized DFB laser is useful for coherent optical system applications owing to its long-term frequency stability and for residual gas detectors.  相似文献

An AlGaInAs multiple quantum well structure is reported as an effective gain medium of the in-well pumped high-peak-power semiconductor disk laser at 1.2 μm. We use an Yb-doped pulsed fiber amplifier as the pump source to effectively optimize the output characteristics. The maximum average output power of 1.28 W and peak output power of 0.76 kW is obtained at 1225 nm lasing wavelength under 60 kHz pump repetition rate and 28 ns pump pulse width.  相似文献

On the basis of polarized IR-reflection spectra in the range of 5000–350 cm–1 measured from the natural face of an optically transparent fluorapatite single crystal, components of a complex refractive index (optical constants) for radiation-vector orientations Ec and Ec have been calculated by the Kramers–Kronig method. The fluorapatite single crystal has been chosen from several samples: it contains a minimum amount of impurities and has a high degree of crystallinity in accordance with the criteria of IR spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy. Tabular data on optical constants for ordinary and extraordinary rays are given for the IR range of 6–28 μm. The obtained absorption spectra are compared with the results of quantum-chemical ab initio calculations within the B3LYP simulation.  相似文献

We report the frequency stabilization of a CW single-frequency, singly resonant optical parametric oscillator (OPO) to the saturation absorption center of the (12)C(16)O2[10°1,02°1](II)>←00°0 P(14) line at 2.77 μm. The CO2 molecules were excited by the OPO idler wave, and the absorption signal was monitored through the fluorescence at 4.3 μm using a gold-coated longitudinal cell. The idler frequency was stabilized onto the line center by wavelength modulation method. The linewidth of the saturation dip was estimated to be 4.7 MHz, and the achieved frequency stability was 3.9 kHz (3.6×10(-11)).  相似文献

We report difference-frequency generation (DFG) in periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) around 4.25 μm using a cw Nd:YAG and an injection-locked diode laser. This system provides a narrow linewidth source at 4.25 μm with near-shot-noise-limited operation. A conversion efficiency close to the theoretical limit is obtained. Detection of CO2 absorption spectra is demonstrated and further improvements and applications to high sensitivity spectroscopy are discussed.
