强非局域空间光孤子是指满足强非局域条件的空间孤子.在Snyder和Mitchell工作的基础上,获得了不共面对称斜入射(1+2)维强非局域空间光孤子对相互作用问题的精确解析解.结果表明,光束初始中心距离在大范围尺度内变化时,双孤子的演化都能形成类似DNA结构的稳定缠绕,这种稳定缠绕的结构与双孤子的初始相位差无关;光束中心在横截面上的投影轨迹一般是一个斜椭圆,通过改变两光束的初始中心距离和倾斜度可以控制该椭圆轨迹的变化.指出了利用(1+2)维强非局域空间光孤子的相互作用特性实现平面全光开关和全光互联的潜在可能性. 关键词: (1+2)维非局域非线性介质 空间光孤子的相互作用 全光开关 全光互联  相似文献

We investigate nonparaxial spatial solitons in uniaxial media with a cubic nonlinearity, accounting for the fully vectorial electromagnetic perturbation and the longitudinal field component in the self-induced index well. We discuss the effective nonlocality arising in purely Kerr media and soliton self-steering owing to nonlinear changes in walk-off.  相似文献

We address the problem of the existence and stability of vector spatial solitons formed by two incoherently interacting optical beams in bulk Kerr and saturable media. We report systematic results of collisions between discrete spatiotemporal Ginzburg-Landau solitons in waveguide arrays. Depending on the value of the kick parameter (collision momentum), four generic outcomes are identified in the case of collision of two identical solitons located at equal distances from the edge of the waveguide array: (a) merger of the solitons into a single one, at small values of the kick parameter, (b) creation of an extra soliton at intermediate values of the collision momentum, (c) quasi-elastic interactions at both intermediate values of the kick parameter (for relatively small values of the cubic gain) and at large values of the kick parameter (for relatively high values of cubic gain), and (d) soliton spreading at relatively large values of the collision momentum but only in the case of relatively small values of the cubic gain. In the case of collision of two non-identical solitons located at different distances from the edge of the waveguide array four generic outcomes were identified too: (e) soliton bouncing, accompanied by a sharp modification of soliton velocities during the interaction process, for relatively small values of the collision momentum, (f) soliton creation at intermediate values of the kick parameter and for relatively low values of the cubic gain, (g) soliton spreading (in time) at intermediate values of the collision momentum and for relatively high values of the cubic gain, and (h) quasi-elastic interactions at large values of the the kick parameter.  相似文献

We consider various models in (2+1) dimensions which possess soliton-like solutions. We discuss the additional terms that must be added to the conventionalS 2 model in order that its solutions are stable and so can be treated as solitons. Starting from the extended tanh-function method (ETM) based on the mapping method, the variable separation solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional asymmetric Nizhnik--Novikov--Veselov (ANNV) system are derived. By further study, we find that these variable separation solutions are seemingly independent of but actually dependent on each other. Based on the variable separation solution and by choosing appropriate functions, some novel and interesting interactions between special solitons, such as bell-like compacton, peakon-like compacton and compacton-like semi-foldon, are investigated.  相似文献

We report experimental and numerical results that describe collisions between two-dimensional type II quadratic solitons excited in a KTP crystal by fundamental waves of orthogonal polarization. We investigate the energy exchange between (3+1)D colliding spatiotemporal solitons (STSs) in dispersive media with cubic-quintic (CQ) nonlinearity by numerical simulations. Energy exchange between two (3+1)D head on colliding STSs caused by their phase difference is observed, just as occurring in other optical media. Moreover, energy exchange between two head-on colliding STSs with different speeds is firstly shown in the CQ and saturable media. This phenomenon, we believe, may arouse some interest in the future studies of soliton collision in optical media.  相似文献

We formulate the theory describing the evolution and interactions between optical spatial solitons that propagate in opposite directions. We show that coherent collisions between counterpropagating solitons give rise to a new focusing mechanism resulting from the interference between the beams, and that interactions between such solitons are insensitive to the relative phase between the beams.  相似文献

We report results of the first analysis of collisions between stable fundamental (alias spinless) and vortical (spinning) three-dimensional dissipative solitons in a model of a laser cavity. The systematic analysis is carried out for values S=1 and S=2 of the vorticity of the latter soliton. With the increase of the collision momentum, Χ, the same generic scenarios are observed in either case: merger into a single fundamental soliton at both small and relatively large values of Χ, and the formation of two fundamental solitons in an intermediate interval of variation of the collision momentum Χ. At very large values of Χ, the collision seems quasi-elastic, but the vortex soliton eventually splits into two nonspinning fragments.  相似文献

We exploit nonlinear propagation in photorefractive crystals to observe the phenomenology associated with the collision and interaction of solitons of different tranverse dimensions: a self-trapped stripe and a round soliton. Along with evidence of particlelike behavior, our results indicate the emergence of a new phenomenology related to the hybrid-dimensional system.  相似文献
