In the paper, we discuss Voronovskaya-type theorem and saturation of convergence for q-Bernstein polynomials for arbitrary fixed q, 0<q<1. We give explicit formulas of Voronovskaya-type for the q-Bernstein polynomials for 0<q<1. If , we show that the rate of convergence for the q-Bernstein polynomials is o(qn) if and only ifWe also prove that if f is convex on [0,1] or analytic on (-ε,1+ε) for some ε>0, then the rate of convergence for the q-Bernstein polynomials is o(qn) if and only if f is linear.  相似文献

Is is shown that for n→+∞ the Leibnizian combination Ln(fg)−fLn(g)−gLn(f) converges uniformly to zero on a compact interval W if the positive operators Ln belong to a certain class (including Bernstein, Gauss-Weierstrass and many others), and if the moduli of continuity of f,g satisfy ωW(f;h)ωW(g;h)=o(h) as h→0+. The concept of statistical convergence is one of the most active area of research in the field of summability. Most of the new summability methods have relation with this popular method. In this paper we generalize the notions of statistical convergence, (λ, μ)-statistical convergence, (V, λ, μ) summability and (C, 1, 1) summability for a double sequence x = (x jk ) via ideals. In this article we provide a set of sufficient conditions that allow a natural extension of Chernoff's product formula to the case of certain one-parameter family of functions taking values in the algebra L(B) of all bounded linear operators defined on a complex Banach space B. Those functions need not be contraction-valued and are intimately related to certain evolution operators U(t,s)0?s?t?T on B. The most direct consequences of our main result are new formulae of the Trotter-Kato type which involve either semigroups with time-dependent generators, or the resolvent operators associated with these generators. In the general case we can apply such formulae to evolution problems of parabolic type, as well as to Schrödinger evolution equations albeit in some very special cases. The formulae we prove may also be relevant to the numerical analysis of non-autonomous ordinary and partial differential equations.  相似文献

We define a smooth functional calculus for a non-commuting tuple of (unbounded) operators Aj on a Banach space with real spectra and resolvents with temperate growth, by means of an iterated Cauchy formula. Korovkin-type approximation theory usually deals with convergence analysis for sequences of positive operators. In this work we present qualitative Korovkin-type convergence results for a class of sequences of non-positive operators, more precisely regular operators with vanishing negative parts under a limiting process. Sequences of that type are called sequences of almost positive linear operators and have not been studied before in the context of Korovkin-type approximation theory. As an example we show that operators related to the multivariate scattered data interpolation technique moving least squares interpolation originally due to Lancaster and Šalkauskas [Surfaces generated by moving least squares methods, Math. Comp., 1981, 37, 141–158] give rise to such sequences. This work also generalizes Korovkin-type results regarding Shepard interpolation [Korovkin-type convergence results for multivariate Shepard formulae, Rev. Anal. Numér. Théor. Approx., 2009, 38, 170–176] due to the author. Moreover, this work establishes connections and differences between the concepts of sequences of almost positive linear operators and sequences of quasi-positive or convexity-monotone linear operators introduced and studied by Campiti in [Convexity-monotone operators in Korovkin theory, Rend. Circ. Mat. Palermo (2) Suppl., 1993, 33, 229–238].  相似文献

In this article we prove new results concerning the existence and various properties of an evolution system UA+B(t,s)0?s?t?T generated by the sum −(A(t)+B(t)) of two linear, time-dependent and generally unbounded operators defined on time-dependent domains in a complex and separable Banach space B. In particular, writing L(B) for the algebra of all linear bounded operators on B, we can express UA+B(t,s)0?s?t?T as the strong limit in L(B) of a product of the holomorphic contraction semigroups generated by −A(t) and −B(t), respectively, thereby proving a product formula of the Trotter-Kato type under very general conditions which allow the domain D(A(t)+B(t)) to evolve with time provided there exists a fixed set D?t∈[0,T]D(A(t)+B(t)) everywhere dense in B. We obtain a special case of our formula when B(t)=0, which, in effect, allows us to reconstruct UA(t,s)0?s?t?T very simply in terms of the semigroup generated by −A(t). We then illustrate our results by considering various examples of nonautonomous parabolic initial-boundary value problems, including one related to the theory of time-dependent singular perturbations of self-adjoint operators. We finally mention what we think remains an open problem for the corresponding equations of Schrödinger type in quantum mechanics.  相似文献

We first introduce a new notion called statistical convergence of order α and primarily show that it gives rise to a decreasing chain of closed linear subspaces of the space of all bounded real sequences with sup norm which never coincides with the class of convergent sequences and in fact their intersection properly contains the class of convergent sequences. We consider a connected undirected finite graph and a spectral problem generated by the double differentiation of functions on its edges (under usual conditions on the vertices ensuring the self-adjointness of the problem). We introduce, in a standard way, an entire function vanishing at the nonzero eigenvalues of the problem and give an explicit formula for this function, which involves graphs (introduced by V. I. For every weakly statistically convergent sequence (xn) with increasing norms in a Hilbert space we prove that . This estimate is sharp. We study analogous problem for some other types of weak filter convergence, in particular for the Erdös-Ulam filters, analytical P-filters and Fσ filters.
