In the paper, we present upper bounds of L p norms of order ( X)-1/2 for all 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞ in the central limit theorem for a standardized random variable (XX)/ √ X, where a random variable X is distributed by the Poisson distribution with parameter λ > 0 or by the standard gamma distribution Γ(α, 0, 1) with parameter α > 0. We consider the solutions of refinement equations written in the form
where the vector of functions ϕ = (ϕ 1, ..., ϕ r ) T is unknown, g is a given vector of compactly supported functions on ℝ s , a is a finitely supported sequence of r × r matrices called the refinement mask, and M is an s × s dilation matrix with m = |detM|. Inhomogeneous refinement equations appear in the construction of multiwavelets and the constructions of wavelets on a finite interval. The cascade algorithm with mask a, g, and dilation M generates a sequence ϕ n , n = 1, 2, ..., by the iterative process
from a starting vector of function ϕ 0. We characterize the L p -convergence (0 < p < 1) of the cascade algorithm in terms of the p-norm joint spectral radius of a collection of linear operators associated with the refinement mask. We also obtain a smoothness property of the solutions of the refinement equations associated with the homogeneous refinement equation. For 0 < α < mn and nonnegative integers n ≥ 2, m ≥ 1, the multilinear fractional integral is defined by
where = (y 1,y 2, ···, y m ) and denotes the m-tuple (f 1,f 2, ···, f m ). In this note, the one-weighted and two-weighted boundedness on L p (ℝ n ) space for multilinear fractional integral operator I α(m) and the fractional multi-sublinear maximal operator M α(m) are established respectively. The authors also obtain two-weighted weak type estimate for the operator M α(m). L p approximation capability of radial basis function (RBF) neural networks is investigated. If g: R +1R 1 and ∈ L loc p (R n ) with 1 ≤ p < ∞, then the RBF neural networks with g as the activation function can approximate any given function in L p (K) with any accuracy for any compact set K in R n , if and only if g(x) is not an even polynomial. We give a very simple and elementary proof of the existence of a weakly compact family of probability measures {Pθ : θ∈θ} representing an important sublinear expectation- G-expectation E[·]. We also give a concrete approximation of a bounded continuous function X(ω) by an increasing sequence of cylinder functions Lip(Ω) in order to prove that Cb(Ω) belongs to the completion of Lip(Ω) under the natural norm E[|·|].  相似文献

In this paper, we are concerned with the existence of positive solutions for a singular p-Laplacian differential equation

subject to the Dirichlet boundary conditions: u(0) = u(1) =0, where φp(s) = |sl^P-2s,p 〉 2,β 〉0, γ〉(p-1)/p (β + 1), and g(r) ∈ C^1 [0, 1] with g(r) 〉 0 for all τ ∈ [0, 1]. We use the method of elliptic regularization, by carrying out two limit processes, to get a positive solution.  相似文献

Let be an n-dimensional compact, possibly with boundary, submanifold in an (n + p)-dimensional space form R n+p (c). Assume that r is even and , in this paper we introduce rth mean curvature function S r and (r + 1)-th mean curvature vector field . We call M to be an r-minimal submanifold if on M, we note that the concept of 0-minimal submanifold is the concept of minimal submanifold. In this paper, we define a functional of , by calculation of the first variational formula of J r we show that x is a critical point of J r if and only if x is r-minimal. Besides, we give many examples of r-minimal submanifolds in space forms. We calculate the second variational formula of J r and prove that there exists no compact without boundary stable r-minimal submanifold with in the unit sphere S n+p . When r = 0, noting S 0 = 1, our result reduces to Simons’ result: there exists no compact without boundary stable minimal submanifold in the unit sphere S n+p .   相似文献

  We obtain a new sharp inequality for the local norms of functions x ∈ L ∞, ∞ r (R), namely,

In this paper we study the L p -discrepancy of digitally shifted Hammersley point sets. While it is known that the (unshifted) Hammersley point set (which is also known as Roth net) with N points has L p -discrepancy (p an integer) of order (log N)/N, we show that there always exists a shift such that the digitally shifted Hammersley point set has L p -discrepancy (p an even integer) of order which is best possible by a result of W. Schmidt. Further we concentrate on the case p = 2. We give very tight lower and upper bounds for the L 2-discrepancy of digitally shifted Hammersley point sets which show that the value of the L 2-discrepancy of such a point set mostly depends on the number of zero coordinates of the shift and not so much on the position of these. The so-called weakly d-Koszul-type module is introduced and it turns out that each weakly d-Koszul-type module contains a d-Koszul-type submodule. It is proved that, M ∈ W H J^d(A) if and only if M admits a filtration of submodules: 0 belong to U0 belong to U1 belong to ... belong to Up = M such that all Ui/Ui-1 are d-Koszul-type modules, from which we obtain that the finitistic dimension conjecture holds in W H J^d(A) in a special case. Let M ∈ W H J^d(A). It is proved that the Koszul dual E(M) is Noetherian, Hopfian, of finite dimension in special cases, and E(M) ∈ gr0(E(A)). In particular, we show that M ∈ W H J^d(A) if and only if E(G(M)) ∈ gr0(E(A)), where G is the associated graded functor.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the concepts of q-Besselian frame and (p, σ)-near Riesz basis in a Banach space, where a is a finite subset of positive integers and 1/p+1/q = 1 with p 〉 1, q 〉 1, and determine the relations among q-frame, p-Riesz basis, q-Besselian frame and (p, σ)-near Riesz basis in a Banach space. We also give some sufficient and necessary conditions on a q-Besselian frame for a Banach space. In particular, we prove reconstruction formulas for Banach spaces X and X^* that if {xn}n=1^∞ C X is a q-Besselian frame for X, then there exists a p-Besselian frame {y&*}n=1^∞ belong to X^* for X^* such that x = ∑n=1^∞ yn^*(x)xn for all x ∈ X, and x^* =∑n=1^∞ x^*(xn)yn^* for all x^* ∈ X^*. Lastly, we consider the stability of a q-Besselian frame for the Banach space X under perturbation. Some results of J. R. Holub, P. G. Casazza, O. Christensen and others in Hilbert spaces are extended to Banach spaces.  相似文献

Let hA ≔ {a 1 + a 2 + ... + a r : a i A, rh} denote the set of all integers representable as a sum of no more than h elements of A, and let n(h, A) denote the largest integer n such that {1, 2,...,n} ⊆ hA. Let n(h, k) := : n(h, A), where the maximum is taken over all sets A with k elements. We determine n(h, A) when the elements of A are in geometric progression. In particular, this results in the evaluation of n(h, 2) and yields surprisingly sharp lower bounds for n(h, k), particularly for k = 3.  相似文献

Given 1≤ p,q < ∞, let BLpLq be the class of all Banach lattices X such that X is isometrically lattice isomorphic to a band in some Lp(Lq)-Banach lattice. We show that the range of a positive contractive projection on any BLpLq-Banach lattice is itself in BLpLq. It is a consequence of this theorem and previous results that BLpLq is first-order axiomatizable in the language of Banach lattices. By studying the pavings of arbitrary BLpLq-Banach lattices by finite dimensional sublattices that are themselves in this class, we give an explicit set of axioms for BLpLq. We also consider the class of all sublattices of Lp(Lq)-Banach lattices; for this class (when p/q is not an integer) we give a set of axioms that are similar to Krivine’s well-known axioms for the subspaces of Lp-Banach spaces (when p/2 is not an integer). In this paper we investigate the spectral exponent, i.e. logarithm of the spectral radius of operators having the form
and acting in spaces Lp(X, μ), where X is a compact topological space, φkC(X), φ = (φk)k=1NC(X)N, and are linear positive operators (Ukf≥ 0 for f≥ 0). We consider the spectral exponent ln r(Aφ) as a functional depending on vector-function φ. We prove that ln r(Aφ) is continuous and on a certain subspace of C(X)N is also convex. We establish asymptotic equalities for upper bounds of approximations by partial Fourier sums in the metrics of the spaces L p , 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞, on classes of Poisson integrals of periodic functions belonging to the unit ball of the space L 1. Let T = (T(t))t≥0 be a bounded C-regularized semigroup generated by A on a Banach space X and R(C) be dense in X. We show that if there is a dense subspace Y of X such that for every x ∈ Y, σu(A, Cx), the set of all points λ ∈ iR to which (λ - A)^-1 Cx can not be extended holomorphically, is at most countable and σr(A) N iR = Ф, then T is stable. A stability result for the case of R(C) being non-dense is also given. Our results generalize the work on the stability of strongly continuous senfigroups.  相似文献

We establish the boundedness properties in L p for a class of integral transformations with respect to an index of hypergeometric functions. In particular, by using the Riesz-Thorin interpolation theorem, we get the corresponding results in L p (R +), 1 p 2, for the Kontorovich-Lebedev, Mehler-Fock, and Olevskii index transforms. An inversion theorem is proved for a general index transformation. Let X and Y be vector spaces. The authors show that a mapping f : X →Y satisfies the functional equation 2d f(∑^2d j=1(-1)^j+1xj/2d)=∑^2dj=1(-1)^j+1f(xj) with f(0) = 0 if and only if the mapping f : X→ Y is Cauchy additive, and prove the stability of the functional equation (≠) in Banach modules over a unital C^*-algebra, and in Poisson Banach modules over a unital Poisson C*-algebra. Let A and B be unital C^*-algebras, Poisson C^*-algebras or Poisson JC^*- algebras. As an application, the authors show that every almost homomorphism h : A →B of A into is a homomorphism when h((2d-1)^nuy) =- h((2d-1)^nu)h(y) or h((2d-1)^nuoy) = h((2d-1)^nu)oh(y) for all unitaries u ∈A, all y ∈ A, n = 0, 1, 2,.... Moreover, the authors prove the stability of homomorphisms in C^*-algebras, Poisson C^*-algebras or Poisson JC^*-algebras.  相似文献
