An explicit representation for the rotation tensor which contains the lower powers of deformation gradient is proposed and used to evaluate the angle and axis of the rotation tensor. Some related equations about the rotation tensor are established. Through the approximate analysis, the relation between the S-R decomposition and the polar decomposition is examined. A method for the explicit determination of the polar decomposition (and the related problem of finding tensor square roots) when the underlying vector space dimension n is arbitrary (but finite), is proposed. The method uses the spectral resolution, and avoids the determination of eigenvectors when the tensor is invertible. For any given dimension n, an appropriately constructed van der Monde matrix is shown to play a key role in the construction of each of the component matrices (and their inverses) in the polar decomposition.  相似文献

In this paper, the polar decomposition of a deformation gradient tensor is analyzed in detail. The four new methods for polar decomposition computation are given: (1) the iterated method, (2) the principal invariant's method, (3) the principal rotation axis's method, (4) the coordinate transformation's method. The iterated method makes it possible to establish the nonlinear finite element method based on polar decomposition. Furthermore, the material time derivatives of the stretch tensor and the rotation tensor are obtained by explicit and simple expressions. General expressions for the derivatives and rates of the stretch and rotation tensors with respect to the deformation gradient are derived. They are both specialized to some of the formulas already available in the literature and used to derive some new ones, in three and two dimensions. Essential ingredients of the treatment are basic elements of differential calculus for tensor valued functions of tensors and recently derived results on the solution of the tensor equation A X + XA= H in the unknown X. 基于级数展开给出了极分解中右伸长张量U的级数表示,通过对级数项的选取得到右伸长张量的不同近似表达式.针对不同级数展开表示,得到表达式最小误差的级数展开形式.进而结合一些简单实例,验证了近似公式的有效性.最后与文献[1]关于计算右伸长张量U和转动张量R的近似表达式进行了比较,本文的级数展开方式得到的右伸长张量U和转动张量R的近似表达式不但简洁,而且计算精度更高、适用范围更广.  相似文献

本文通过变分途径建立了变形梯度张量的极分解和加法分解之间的联系.采用工程界通常采用的变形梯度张量的加法分解形式,得到了三维空间中极分解的转动张量和伸长张量的直接表示,即实现了转动和变形的分离.由这些直接表示,可以得到各种有用的近似表示.  相似文献

An explicit expression of the derivative of the square root of a tensor is provided, by using the expressions of the derivatives of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a symmetric tensor. Starting from this result, the derivatives of the right and left stretch tensor U, V and of the rotation R with respect to the deformation gradient F, are calculated. Through a variational approach, an explicit connection between the additive and the polar decompositions of deformation gradient has been established. An exact formula for determining the rotation tensor in polar decomposition is obtained. The formula is fundamental in continuum mechanics and can be used to separate the rotation and the pure strain in deformation, by which various approximate expressions can be easily obtained.  相似文献

We investigate the role of extended intrinsic mean spin tensor introduced in this work for turbulence modelling in a non-inertial frame of reference. It is described by the Euclidean group of transformations and, in particular, its significance and importance in the approach of the algebraic Reynolds stress modelling, such as in a nonlinear K-ε model. To this end and for illustration of the effect of extended intrinsic spin tensor on turbulence modelling, we examine several recently developed nonlinear K-ε models and compare their performance in predicting the homogeneous turbulent shear flow in a rotating frame of reference with LES data. Our results and analysis indicate that, only if the deficiencies of these models and the like be well understood and properly corrected, may in the near future, more sophisticated nonlinear K-ε models be developed to better predict complex turbulent flows in a non-inertial frame of reference.  相似文献

By using Cayley-Hamilton theorem, two kinds of explicit representation for the rotation tensor are proposed. One contains the lower powers of deformation gradient, by which the formula of the principal rotation angle and the explicit representation of principal axis are obtained; the other, a high efficient method to obtain the rotation tensor, does not contain the complicated coefficients and uses few variables. 介绍了一种针对粒子图像测速(PIV)基于本征正交分解(POD)的速度场后处理技术.该技术改变了现在后处理技术将速度场坏矢量识别和修正分开实现的局面,通过迭代方法有效地实现了速度场坏点统一的识别和修复算法.算法利用POD分解的低阶模态信息重构出可以用于坏矢量识别的参考速度场,利用该参考速度场对全流场进行坏点识别并完成修正.通过对一套光滑的PIV速度场数据引入高斯分布的随机误差,测试验证了该POD方法的优越性.在坏矢量识别方面新方法较归一化中值检验有更高的正确性,能识别大面积出现的坏矢量区域.在坏矢量修补的插值算法中,新方法的计算效率又高于传统Gappy POD方法,且计算精度优于常见的矢量场内插数学方法.特别是在数据缺失的大连通区域,该方法对物理流场有很好的预测效果.  相似文献

采用分子轨道指数研究润滑剂分子与金属表面间相互作用的能力 ,通过比较键合原子净电荷以及分子间相互作用的最高占据轨道能级 (EHOMO)和最低空轨道能级 (ELUMO)的大小发现 ,醇和羟基化金属表面的氢键力大于酯与羟基化金属表面的氢键力 .根据分子轨道能量近似原则和反应性指数大小判断 ,酯和裸露的金属原子之间的作用强于醇 ,醇和酯复配的润滑剂通过发挥各自的优势而强化润滑剂分子与金属表面之间的作用 ,从而表现出协同减摩效应 .  相似文献
