A virtual source that generates a Hermite-Gauss wave of mode numbers m and n is introduced. An expression is obtained for this Hermite-Gauss wave. From this expression, the paraxial approximation and the first 3 orders of nonparaxial corrections for the corresponding paraxial Hermite-Gauss beam are determined. When both m and n are even, leading to maximum amplitude along the axis, the number of orders of nonvanishing nonparaxial corrections is found to be equal to (m + n)/2. 相似文献

The virtual source for generation of the fundamental scalar Bessel-Gauss wave is identified. An expression is derived for the Bessel-Gauss wave, which, in the appropriate limit, yields the paraxial approximation for the fundamental Bessel-Gauss beam. For the azimuthally symmetric beam, the first-order nonparaxial correction to the on-axis field is also determined. This nonparaxial correction reduces correctly to that of the fundamental Gaussian beam in the appropriate limit. 相似文献

The virtual source for generation of rotational symmetric Lorentz-Gaussian (RLG) wave whose propagating dynamics present the rotational symmetry is identified. Closed-form expressions, including integral and differential representations, are derived for this kind of Lorentz-Gaussian (LG) wave, thereby yieldingparaxial approximation of the RLG beam in the appropriate regime. From the spectral representation of this wave, the first three order corrections of nonparaxial approximations are determined for a corresponding paraxial RLG beam. Fifth-order corrected expressions for the fields of a radially polarized Laguerre-Gauss (R-TEM(n1)) laser beams are derived based on perturbative Lax series expansion. When the order of Laguerre polynomial is equal to zero, the corresponding beam reduces to the lowest-order radially polarized beam (R-TEM(01)). Simulation results show that the accuracy of the fifth-order correction for R-TEM(n1) depends not only on the diffraction angle of the beam as R-TEM(01) does, but also on the order of the beam. 相似文献

Experimental results of research into a ferroelectric-plasma-source-assisted hollow anode (HA) discharge as a source of low-energy electron beams are presented. To generate electron beams, the HA auto-bias negative voltage was achieved by the discharge current flowing through the resistor connecting the HA and the grounded electrode. It is shown that this method allows reliable and reproducible generation of low-energy electron beams with electron energy of several hundreds of eV, electron current density up to several A/cm2 and pulse duration of several tens of microseconds. 相似文献

A reflex electron beam glow discharge has been used as a plasma source for the generation of broad-area electron beams. An ion source based on successive photoionization of trapped ions is now possible using high-brightness X rays from a modern synchrotron storage ring. Fluorine atoms are generated by 2.45 GHz microwave dissociation of 99.99% F2 in a synthetic sapphire single-crystal discharge tube. Typical F2 gas flow and beam intensity are: 0.1 mbar ls?1 and 9.5×1017 atoms sterad?1 s?1. The measured degree of dissociation into atoms isD>98%. A scheme of a generator of electromagnetic-wave radiation is proposed in which a radiating region moves along a radiator with a velocity greater than the velocity of light in vacuum. The superlight motion of the generating region leads to the situation in which the resulting radiation has the properties of Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation. The electron beam of a superlight source is formed while the particles travel across a waveguide along which an electromagnetic wave propagates. The construction of the generator makes it possible to vary the velocity of the radiating region, the radiation pattern, and the radiation beamwidth. Calculations are performed that allow one to evaluate the parameters of the generator and the characteristics of radiation. 相似文献
