The relation between theK }-P scattering length and the X-ray spectrum for the 2p → 1s electromagnetic transition inK ?-P atoms is examined. A coupled-channel potential model is used to explicitly calculate the energy of theS-matrix pole in the 1s channel, which is then compared with the energy obtained from the scattering lengths via the standard equation. The X-ray spectrum is calculated and compared with the Lorentzian shape associated with the complex energy of theS-matrix pole. In addition, theK ?p branching ratios are compared at threshold and at the complexS-matrix pole energy.  相似文献

The mass spectra of theω π 0 system, produced inπ ? p charge-exchange reactions at 38 GeV/c and 100 GeV/c, show a new neutral state with a mass of 2200±20 MeV and a width of 260±50 MeV. Likeρ 3(1690), this meson,X(2200), is produced through one-pion-exchange.X(2200)J PC is likely 1??. It might be a 23 D 1 radial-orbital excitation ofρ 0. Its production cross section falls with energy quadratically, in agreement with one-pion-exchange. The cross sections forb 1(1235) andρ 3(1690) production have also been measured; their energy dependences have been determined.  相似文献

Polarization distributions of ground state neutrons emitted from the14C(d,n 0)15N reaction were investigated over the angular range from 15 ° (lab) to 150 ° (lab) at bombarding energies of 1.28, 1.55 and 1.88 MeV. Scattering of neutrons from helium served as polarization analyzer. The experimental results show a large variation with energy of the polarization ranging betweenPlab=130 °)=?21% andPlab=130 °)=+50% at 1.28 and 1.88 MeV respectively.  相似文献

A high-statistics study of the π0π0-system produced in the π- p→π0π0 n reaction at 38GeV/c has been carried out at the IHEP accelerator using the GAMS-2000 multiphoton spectrometer. A partial-wave analysis which includesS, D 0, D? andD + waves has been performed in the |t|-range up to 1 (GeV/c)2. TheS */f 0(980) resonance is seen as a dip in theS-wave amplitude at small |t|. A distinct peak with a mass of 997±5MeV and a width of 48±10MeV is observed in theS-wave at |t|>0.3 (GeV/c)2. The production cross sections are measured.  相似文献

Results on event and single particle characteristics are presented for the three most successful perturbative QCD+fragmentation models in the c.m. energy range 12.0≦W≦200 GeV. The models were optimised to describe the properties of the large sample of hadronic events obtained by TASSO atW=35 GeV. The energy evolution of the observables across the range spanned by the PETRA and PEP data, 12.0≦〈W〉≦41.5 GeV, is reasonably well described by all the models. However, for some quantities the predictions of the different models diverge at higher energies; distributions of observables are shown at c.m. energies of 93 and 200 GeV, where data are expected from thee + e ? colliders currently under construction. The ability to describe simultaneously, with the same parameter values, hadronic event features both at PETRA/PEP and LEP/SLC energies will provide a severe test of the models. The effects of top quark production on the event properties are illustrated for a top mass of 60 GeV/c2. Predictions are given for the rates of multijet events up toW=200 GeV, where ≧4-jet events dominate the cross section and will form a background to events containing heavy states which decay into hadron jets.  相似文献

The coupled1 D 2(pp)?5 S 2N) channels are studied in a relativized version of the Quark Compound Bag (QCB) model. The QCB short-range force is shown to reproduce an, energy dependence of the1 D 2 phase shift and inelasticity atT?200MeV predicted by the energy-independent solution of the VPISU phase-shift analysis. At lower energy the effect of the long-range meson force is essential. The values of the QCB parameters found from the fit to the data are in good agreement with theoretical predictions for the MIT bag model.  相似文献

We have studied the andK systems centrally produced in proton proton collisions at 300 GeV/c and +/p proton collisions at 85 GeV/c using the CERN spectrometer. Clear evidence forS */f o(975) production is observed. An analysis performed on the + mass spectrum in the 1.0 GeV region, using a coupled channel formalism, shows that it is possible to describe theS */f o(975) effect with one single resonance once interference of theS */f o(975) with theS-wave background is introduced. The resultingS */f o(975) parameters arem o =979±4MeV,g =0.28±0.04,g K =0.56±0.18 corresponding to a pole position on sheet II at (1001±2)–i(36±4) MeV. Evidence is also found for a structure having a mass of 1472±12 MeV and a width of 195±33 MeV.  相似文献

A combined analysis of the available data on the primaryγ-ray intensities from the113Cd(n, γ) reaction atE n=1.9 and 24.3 keV neutron energies together with the data on113Cd neutron capture cross sections in theE n=3–200 keV energy region was carried out. The neutron strength functions were determined asS n0=(0.260±0.073) 10?4 and Sn1=(5.06±0.67) 10?4. No spin-orbit splitting of thep-wave neutron strength function was found. The energy dependence of theE 1 radiative strength function {ie147-01} was fitted by the Kadmenski-Furman model somewhat better than by a standard Lorentzian. TheM 1 giant resonance parameters were obtained as E G M 1 =8.8±1.6 MeV and Γ G M 1 = 4.7±2.6 MeV. The neutron capture cross section of113Cd from its isomeric state ({ie147-02}=11/2?, E 1 m =263.7 keV) was calculated.  相似文献

We analyze the production of H dihyperson (J π=0+,S=?2) via the (K ?, K+) reaction by means of the non-relativistic quark model. First, the H mass and mass spectrum of single baryons are calculated. When the single baryon spectrum is well reproduced, the H dihyperson has the binding energies about 20 MeV or 60 MeV corresponding to the choice of the strength of the confinement potential. Using this model and parameters, cross sections for H production are estimated. A new effect, contributions from color-octetQ 3?Q 3 components of H dihyperson, is taken into account. The cross sections for H production are enhanced about ten times by these contributions. TheK +-neutron coincidence cross section for H production is found to be 99–115 nb/sr2 at theK + forward direction forM H=2212 MeV and theK ? beam momentum 1.8 GeV/c.  相似文献

We report on a measurement of the mass of the Z0 boson, its total width, and its partial decay widths into hadrons and leptons. On the basis of 25 801 hadronic decays and 1999 decays into electrons, muons or taus, selected over eleven energy points between 88.28 GeV and 95.04 GeV, we obtain from a combined fit to hadrons and leptons a mass of Mz=91.154±0.021 (exp)±0.030 (LEP) GeV, and a total width of Γz=2.536±0.045 GeV. The errors on Mz have been separated into the experimental error and the uncertainty due to the LEP beam energy. The measured leptonic partial widths are Γee=81.2±2.6 MeV, Γμμ=82.6± 5.8 MeV, and Γττ=85.7±7.1 MeV, consistent with lepton universality. From a fit assuming lepton universality we obtain Γ+ = 81.9±2.0 MeV. The hadronic partial width is Γhad=1838±46 MeV. From the measured total and partial widths a model independent value for the invisible width is calculated to be Γinv=453±44 MeV. The errors quoted include both the statistical and the systematic uncertainties.  相似文献

Assuming the validity of the universal multiplicity hypothesis of quantum chromodynamics, we estimate bounds on quark gluon coupling (αS) and quark mass (m) from the experimental data on charged hadron multiplicities. We obtain 0.3 < αS < 0.5 and m ≈ 100 MeV. Our analysis also suggests the universal quark confinement region to be ≈ O (mπ?1). Comparison with experiment is made for both the hadronic and leptonic induced reactions.  相似文献

The mass and momentum transfer spectra of the charged KK system produced in the reaction π±p→Ks0K±p are analyzed. The data have been collected at the CERN SPS with the Geneva-Lausanne two-arm, non-magnetic spectrometer at 30 and 50 GeV/c incident momenta. The general features of the reactions at these energies and the results of partial-wave analyses of the two kaon system are presented.The channel is dominated by the diffractive production of even spin resonances. The spin 4 recurrence of the A2(1320) is clearly observed at 2040 MeV (Γ=380 MeV. A new resonance is observed with a mass M=2450MeV and a width Γ=400 MeV; the quantum numbers of this state are found to be IG(JPC)=1?(6++). The analysis also shows the decay of the decay of the meson ?′(1600) through the KK channel at both energies.The production amplitudes are determined both as a function of the KK effective mass and of the momentum transfer. Isoscalar natural parity exchange is dominant. The energy dependence between 10 and 50 GeV/c is shown to be well described by a Regge pole model based on the f-dominated pomeron hypothesis. We compare the production mechanisms of the 2+ resonances A2(1320) and K1(1430). Finally, we estimate the KK branching ratios of the spin 4 A2(2040) and spin 6 A2(2450) resonances.  相似文献

Thick-target recoil ranges of radioactive nuclei produced in 30–200 MeV alpha-particle bombardment of 59Co have been used to deduce the longitudinal momentum transfer per projectile nucleon (p6/A) as a function of residue mass and bombarding energy. The average value of p6/A increases monotonically with bombarding energy and reaches a maximum value of ≈ 160 MeV/c at ≈ 23 MeV/u, and decreases thereafter. The maximum value of p6/A is equal to the incident momentum up to ≈ 23 MeV/u and saturates at a value of ≈ 220 MeV/c beyond this energy.  相似文献

Starting from the Feshbach S-matrix pole expansion we modify the standard statistical model for compound reactions by introducing correlations between fluctuating S-matrix elements with different J (total spin) and π (parity) values. The S-matrix (J, π)-correlations are obtained at the expense of introducing infinitesimally small entrance-exit channel off-diagonal (J, π)-correlations between the random variables of the statistical model. Although later on these correlations are switched off by means of a properly applied limiting procedure, the S-matrix (J, π)-correlations do not vanish and can be strong. The physical origin of the S-matrix (J, π)-correlations resembles the effect of spontaneous symmetry breaking while S-matrix (J, π)-decoherence is due to quantum chaos. Novel reaction mechanism results in the excitation of peculiar nuclear states: The intermediate system is thermalized so that the shape of the spectrum is angle-independent and Maxwellian with angle-independent slope, yet the intermediate nucleus is not equilibrated since the angular distribution is forward-peaked, i.e., memory of the direction of the initial beam is not lost. The existence of thermalized-nonequilibrated nuclear states is supported by data on the 50–100% forward peaking of neutrons in the typically evaporation (1–3.5 MeV) part of the spectrum observed in the 93 N b(n, n′) scattering with E n = 7 MeV.  相似文献

A simpleππ, $\bar K$ K, andρρ(ωω) fully coupled channel model is proposed to predict the isoscalarS-wave phase shifts and inelasticities forππ scattering in the 1.0 to 2.0 GeV region. TheS- matrix is required to exhibit poles corresponding to the established isoscalarJ π=0+ resonancesf 0(975),f 0(1400), andf 0(1710). A dominant feature of the experimentalππ inelasticity is the clear opening of the $\bar K$ K channel near 1 GeV, and the opening of another channel in the 1.4–1.5 GeV region. The success of our model in predicting this observed dramatic energy dependence indicates that the effect of multipion channels is adequately described by theππ coupling to the $\bar K$ K channel, theρρ(4π) andωω(6π) channels.  相似文献

Backward emitted protons with momentump>0.3 GeV/c in interactions of neutrino in the energy range 10–200 GeV with photoemulsion nuclei were investigated. Energy spectrum slope parameter of backward protons was measured to beT 0=48.9±7.9 MeV. TheA-dependence power index of relative mean yield of backward protons was found to bea=0.68±0.12. A drop in the mean yield of backward protons at the four momentum squared over ~15 (GeV/c)2 (the neutrino energy over ~50 GeV) was observed.  相似文献

The three-nucleon (3N) Faddeev equation is solved in a Poincaré-invariant model of the three-nucleon system. Two-body interactions are generated so that when they are added to the two-nucleon invariant mass operator (rest energy) the two-nucleon S-matrix is identical to the non-relativistic S-matrix with a CD Bonn interaction. Cluster properties of the three-nucleon S-matrix determine how these two-nucleon interactions are embedded in the three-nucleon mass operator. Differences in the predictions of the relativistic and corresponding non-relativistic models for elastic and breakup processes are investigated. Of special interest are the lowering of the A y maximum in elastic nucleon-deuteron (Nd) scattering below ≈25?MeV caused by the Wigner spin rotations and the significant changes of the breakup cross sections in certain regions of the phase space.  相似文献

The cross section of the11B(n, α)8Li reaction has been measured atE n=7.6 to 12.6 MeV. The neutron beam was produced via theD(d, n)3He reaction and aBF 3 counter (with naturalB isotopic composition) served both as target for the11B nuclides and as detector for the observation of the delayedα-activity of8Li. The data match well with previous results obtained atE n =12.5 to 20.0 MeV. Using the principle of detailed balance the data were converted to the case of the8Li(α, n 0)11B reaction. The associated astrophysicalS(E) factor is dominated by a resonance atE R=0.58 MeV of widthΓ R =200 keV, withS(E R )=8400 MeV b. ThisS (E R ) value for the n0 channel alone is already three times higher than the constantS(E) factor assumed previously and, thus, strengthens the significance of inhomogeneous Big Bang nucleosynthesis.  相似文献

The potential of the B meson and the pseudoscalar meson is constructed up to the next-to-leading order Lagrangian, and then the BK and B_sπ interaction is studied in the unitary coupled-channel approximation. A resonant state with a mass about 5568 MeV and J~P= 0~+is generated dynamically, which can be associated with the X(5568) state announced by the D0 Collaboration recently. The mass and the decay width of this resonant state depend on the regularization scale in the dimensional regularization scheme, or the maximum momentum in the momentum cutoff regularization scheme. The scattering amplitude of the vector B meson and the pseudoscalar meson is calculated, and an axial-vector state with a mass near 5620 MeV and J~P= 1~+is produced. Their partners in the charm sector are also discussed.  相似文献

Excitation curves for48Ca(d, p)49Ca(0) have been measured at 12 angles in the energy region from 3.0–5.5 MeV with the aim to investigate the charge exchange effect expected at the analogous (d, n) threshold opening at 4.3 MeV. A broad flat minimum is seen in the 165° excitation curve around this threshold which is however much less significant than the charge exchange cusps observed in theA ≈ 90 mass region. More significant structure is seen atE d≈5 MeV which possibly may be connected with48Ca(4.611) core excitation or due to an intermediate state in50Sc.  相似文献
