Using Laplace transform and Regge high-energy behaviour, continuous-parameter sum rules are found for strong interaction amplitudes. The finite-energy version of these sum rules is discussed and equations for the Regge parameters obtained. Forward πN scattering is considered as an example and numerical values are found for the parameters of and ′ trajectories. A mathematical appendix on the incomplete gamma function is added.  相似文献

Generalized sum rules are derived by integrating the electromagnetic structure functions along lines of constant ratio of momentum and energy transfer. For non-relativistic systems these sum rules are related to the conventional photonuclear sum rules by a scaling transformation. The generalized sum rules are connected with the absorptive part of the forward scattering amplitude of virtual photons. The analytic structure of the scattering amplitudes and the possible existence of dispersion relations have been investigated in schematic relativistic and non-relativistic models. While for the non-relativistic case analyticity does not hold, the relativistic scattering amplitude is analytical for time-like (but not for space-like) photons and relations similar to the Gell-Mann-Goldberger-Thirring sum rule exist.  相似文献

The Thomas-Reiche-Kuhn sum rule is a fundamental consequence of the position-momentum commutation relation for an atomic electron and it provides an important constraint on the transition matrix elements for an atom. Analogously, the commutation relations for the electromagnetic field operators in a magnetodielectric medium constrain the properties of the dispersion relations for the medium through four sum rules for the allowed phase and group velocities for polaritons propagating through the medium. These rules apply to all bulk media including the metamaterials designed to provide negative refractive indices. An immediate consequence of this is that it is not possible to construct a medium in which all the polariton modes for a given wavelength lie in the negative-index region.  相似文献

The PCAC consistency condition, the Adler-Weisberger sum rule and the dispersion superconvergent sum rule have been saturated with resonance contributions only. Strangeness-changing currents and strangeness-conserving currents have been considered and compared. The results obtained also support PCAC for the strangeness conserving current. While in theπN case PCAC and the Adler-Weisberger sum rule are almost saturated with the famous N 33 * resonance only, in the KN caseY 1 * (1385),Y 0 * (1405) andY 0 * (1520) seem to be sufficient. The superconvergent sum rule works very well in the case ofπN scattering, including the contribution of twelve resonances. For KN scattering it can be neither established nor disapproved.  相似文献

The well founded total photoproduction and the, assumed substraction free, longitudinal photoproduction polarizability sum rules are checked in QED at the lowest non-trivial order. The first one is shown to hold, whereas the second one turns out to need a subtraction, which makes its usefulness for determining the electromagnetic polarizabilities of the nucleons quite doubtful.  相似文献

We show the compatibility of Shifman, Vainshtein and Zakharov (SVZ) sum rules with the sum rules involving the electro-magnetic mass difference of pions and the axial form factor in radiative π± decay. In spite of good agreement between them, QCD sum rules are unable to explain clearly the experimental data of τ-decay in the axial channel.  相似文献

We estimate the mass of the 0++ trigluonium associated to the g3fabcGμνaGνϱb Gϱμc gauge-invariant gluonic operator using QCD-duality sum rules. The dimensiond=4 gluon condensateφ 1 is determined from an analysis of charmonium, taking model dependent estimates ofd=6.8 condensates into account. ForS-waves, there is a compatibility region, where both these and model dependent higher state corrections to ground state dominance are small, enablingφ 1 to be determined from a fit to the data. ForP-waves the estimated higher dimension contributions are large in the region of ground state dominance, and noφ 1 determination is possible. Theφ 1 value obtained from the fit to theS-wave ratios is 3 5 times bigger than that obtained by RRY using the plateau method. The methods are compared for the vector current. We show that the higher state correction used by RRY does not fit the data; and that the plateau method is much more sensitive to thed=6.8 condensates than the ratio used here. When reasonable estimates of both these and the higher state corrections are taken into account, there is compatibility between the two methods.  相似文献

Momentum sum rules for fragmentation functions are considered. In particular, we give a general proof of the Schäfer–Teryaev sum rule for the transverse momentum dependent Collins function. We also argue that corresponding sum rules for related fragmentation functions do not exist. Our model-independent analysis is supplemented by calculations in a simple field-theoretical model.  相似文献

Finite energy and Laplace transform QCD sum rules atT0 are analyzed, and predictions for vacuum condensates are compared with the low temperature expansion of the energy density and pressure. Results show a serious disagreement which indicates a breakdown of the FESR programme already at dimension four, and which invalidates Laplace transform sum rules, at least in their straightforward extension to finite temperature.  相似文献

We derive general expressions for the sum rules of the eigenvalues of drums of arbitrary shape and arbitrary density, obeying different boundary conditions. The formulas that we present are a generalization of the analogous formulas for one dimensional inhomogeneous systems that we have obtained in a previous paper. We also discuss the extension of these formulas to higher dimensions. We show that in the special case of a density depending only on one variable the sum rules of any integer order can be expressed in terms of a single series. As an application of our result we derive exact sum rules for the homogeneous circular annulus with different boundary conditions, for a homogeneous circular sector and for a radially inhomogeneous circular annulus with Dirichlet boundary conditions.  相似文献

We review the symmetry energy in the context of AdS/CFT correspondence. After constructing D -brane configurations corresponding to dense system in boundary theory, we calculate the symmetry energy by solving DBI action of D branes in confining and deconfining phase. We conclude that the density dependence of the symmetry energy has scaling law, whose power depends only on the dimensionality of the branes and space-time.  相似文献

Exact energy-averaged high -energy bounds for total ππ cross sections are given which do not depend on the d-wave scattering lengthes. Instead, the low-energy input is, essentially, the properties of the fo meson. The starting points are rigorous sum rules for the physical absorptive parts, following from crossing and analyticity. Except at rather low energies, these bounds are much tighter than the best previous ones.  相似文献
