We present the physics program of the open charm and heavy c states above the DD production energy threshold, which will be studied with the BES-Ⅲ detector at the BEPC-Ⅱ collider in the coming years.Based on some full Monte Carlo simulations with the BES-Ⅲ detector,we predict the accuracy levels on measuring some physical quantities related to D0,D+ and D+s decays as well as some non-charmed decays of the heavy c states.  相似文献

We discuss the Monte Carlo studies of searching for the rare and forbidden pure-leptonic and semi-leptonic decays of D^+,0 and Ds^+ mesons, based on a full Monte Carlo simulation for the BES-Ⅲ detector, with the BES-Ⅲ Ofttine Software System. The experimental sensitivities of searching for 36 rare and forbidden charm meson decays are estimated.  相似文献

We study the branching ratios of D^+ → D^0e^+ν, Ds^+ → D^0e^+ν, Bs^0→B^+e^-^-ν, Ds^+→D^+e^-e^+ and Bs^0→B^0e^-e^+ rare semileptonic decay processes, which are induced by decays of light quarks, the heavy quarks remain unchanged. The branching ratios of these decay processes are estimated in the heavy quark limit and with SU(3) flavor symmetry. We find that the decay rates are very tiny in the framework of the Standard Model. We also estimate the sensitivities of the measurements of these rare decays at the future experiments, such as BES-Ⅲ, super-B and LHC-b. Observations of these decays may shed some light on new physics beyond the standard model.  相似文献

We calculate the branching ratio of rare decay D^0→ФK using the perturbative QCD factorization approach based on kT factorization. Our result shows this branching ratio is (8.7 ± 1.4) x 10^-3, which is consistent with experimental data. We hope that the CLEO-C and BES-Ⅲ can measure it more accurately, which will help us to understand QCD dynamics and D meson weak decays.  相似文献

Decays of both η and η' provide very useful information in our understanding of low-energy QCD, and experimental signatures for these decays would be extremely helpful at BES-Ⅲ. The rare decays of the η and η' mesons could serve as a low-energy test of the Standard Model and its beyond. The sensitivities of the measurements of η and η' decays are discussed at BES-Ⅲ, in which the η and η' mesons are produced in the ψ decays.  相似文献

The discovery of unexpected properties of the Higgs boson would offer an intriguing opportunity to shed light on some of the most profound puzzles in particle physics. Beyond Standard Model(BSM) decays of the Higgs boson could reveal new physics in a direct manner. Future electron-positron lepton colliders operating as Higgs factories, including CEPC, FCC-ee and ILC, with the advantages of a clean collider environment and large statistics, could greatly enhance sensitivity in searching for these BSM decays. In this work, we perform a general study of Higgs exotic decays at future e~+e~-lepton colliders, focusing on the Higgs decays with hadronic final states and/or missing energy, which are very challenging for the High-Luminosity program of the Large Hadron Collider(HL-LHC).We show that with simple selection cuts,O(10~(-3)-10~(-5)) limits on the Higgs exotic decay branching fractions can be achieved using the leptonic decaying spectator Z boson in the associated production mode e~+e~-→ZH. We further discuss the interplay between detector performance and Higgs exotic decays, and other possibilities of exotic decays. Our work is a first step in a comprehensive study of Higgs exotic decays at future lepton colliders, which is a key area of Higgs physics that deserves further investigation.  相似文献

Using a data sample of about 33pb^-1 collected at and around √s = 3.773 GeV with the BES-Ⅱ detector at the BEPC, we have directly measured the branching fraction for inclusive semimuonic decay of neutral D mesons to be BF(D^0 → μ^+X) = (7.2 ± 1.5 ± 0.8)%.  相似文献

The BES-Ⅲ Detector is a very versatile multipurpose device located at the Institute of High Energy Physics(IHEP) in Beijing,China.Concerning the physics program it ties stringently up to the past BES and BES-Ⅱ experiments.Since start of the data taking in the middle of 2008 the accumulated dataset of 200·106 J/ψ events and 100·106 ψ events already exceeds the world data on these resonances. In addition to studies of the charmonium systems the data offers great opportunity for investigations in the light hadron sector. In detail it will be reported about the confirmation of the enhancement in p invariant mass in radiative J/ψ decays, the search for decays Y(2175) → K0 K0,observation of a charged κ± in K±π0 and observation of a new excited baryon N(2065) decaying to pπ0 and charged conjugate. The first result is based on data taken by BES-Ⅱ and BES-Ⅲ,the latter three on data collected by BES-Ⅱ only.  相似文献

The J/ψ hadronic decays provide good laboratory to search for the hybrid states with exotic quantum numbers. A full Partial Wave Analysis (PWA) is performed to the generated Monte Carlo J/ψ→ρηπ data, based on the design of BESⅢ detector, to study the sensitivity of searching for a possible exotic state at BESⅢ.  相似文献

Using J/ψ decays collected with the BES Ⅲ detector, Lundcharm model parameters are optimized with J/ψlight hadron decays. The dependence of the response function on model parameters is approximated up to the quadratic term, and the model parameters are optimized by simultaneously fitting J/ψ inclusive charged track distributions and event shapes. The Monte Carlo simulations show that optimal parameters yield satisfactory MC distributions as compared to both the J/ψ and ψ(2S) data distributions. These optimal values are suggested for the Lundcharm model to produce J/ψ and ψ(2S) decays to light hadrons.  相似文献

We present our studies of recombination processes of H^2+, HD^+ and D^+2 with high-energy electrons based on a time-dependent wave packet dynamics method. The final vibrational distributions of the products (H2, HD and D2) have been studied. The isotope effects of the final vibrational distributions and their dependence on initial states are elucidated. The study of the final vibrational distributions is relevant to the infrared gas laser researches.  相似文献

The future experimental campaign with the SAMURAI setup at RIKEN will explore a wide range of neutron-deficient nuclei with a particular focus on the most critical  (p, γ)  reaction rates relevant to the astrophysical rp-process in type-I X-ray bursts (XRB). Intense radioactive-ion (RI) beams at an energy of a few hundred MeV/nucleon will be deployed to populate proton-unbound states in the nuclei of interest through the Coulomb excitation or nucleon-removal processes. The decay of these states into a proton and a heavy residue will be measured using complete kinematics and the information about timereversal proton-capture process will be obtained. This method will provide the vital experimental data on the resonances, which dominate the stellar (p,γ) reaction rates, as well as on the direct proton-capture process for some other cases. The experimental setup will utilize for the first time the High-Resolution 90?-mode of the SAMURAI spectrometer in combination with the existing detection systems, including custom-designed Si-strip detectors for simultaneous detection and tracking of heavy ions and protons emitted from the target. The details of the experimental method and the utilized apparatus are discussed in this paper.  相似文献

In heavy ion collision, the event plane is a key parameter defined as the plane composted by the impact parameter b and beam axis z, It is a crucial reference for various observables, which focus on the initial spatial anisotropy of the overlap region in heavy ion collision. We notice that in some recent heavy ion collision experiments, due to potentially inefficient or even the invalidity of experimental facilities, the reconstructed event plane, which is used in elliptic flow study, may be biased towards a non-flat distribution. In this study, we develop a toy model for fast estimation of the bias effect and its influence on the elliptic flow. The possible azimuthal bias of the detector is firstly studied by varying the part of its azimuthal information. We also study on the limit acceptance of the detector, which will be used to measure the particle of interest in an elliptic flow. The outcomes are presented by comparing the flow study results with or without the non-flat effect on the event plane.  相似文献

We calculate the inclusive decay rates of ηb into charmonium via double c~ pairs for S- and P-wave states ηc, J/ψ and XcJ within the framework of non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD) factorization at leading order in αs. Besides calculating the contributions of the color-singlet channels ηb → cc[2s+1SL^(1)]+cc, the effects of cc pair in the color-octet configurations are also considered. We find that ηb → cc[3S1^(8)] +cc make a small contribution to Br(ηb →J/ψ(ηc)+cc). While in the ηb →XcJ +cc case, the color octet contributions are significant, for they are of the same a 5 order as the color-singlet processes. We predict Br(ηb →J/ψ(ηc)+cc) = 2.99(2.75) × 10^-5 Vc for S-wave states J/ψ and ηc, and Br(ηb → XcJ +cc) = (4.37, 3.40, 2.83) × 10^-5 (for J = 0,1, 2) for P-wave states XcJ. In the end, we also find Br(ηb → cccc) is almost saturated by ηb decay into charmonium in association with cc pair from the point of view of duality.  相似文献
