Let I be a compact interval of real axis R, and(I, H) be the metric space of all nonempty closed subintervals of I with the Hausdorff metric H and f : I → I be a continuous multi-valued map. Assume that Pn =(x_0, x_1,..., xn) is a return tra jectory of f and that p ∈ [min Pn, max Pn] with p ∈ f(p). In this paper, we show that if there exist k(≥ 1) centripetal point pairs of f(relative to p)in {(x_i; x_i+1) : 0 ≤ i ≤ n-1} and n = sk + r(0 ≤ r ≤ k-1), then f has an R-periodic orbit, where R = s + 1 if s is even, and R = s if s is odd and r = 0, and R = s + 2 if s is odd and r 0. Besides,we also study stability of periodic orbits of continuous multi-valued maps from I to I.  相似文献

For an atomic integral domain R, define(R)=sup{mn|x1xm=y1yn, each xi,yjεR is irreducible}. We investigate (R), with emphasis for Krull domains R. When R is a Krull domain, we determine lower and upper bounds for (R); in particular,(R)≤max{|Cl(R)| 2, 1}. Moreover, we show that for any real numbers r≥1 or R=∞, there is a Dedekind domain R with torsion class group such that (R)=r.  相似文献

Oscillation criteria are obtained by using the so called H-method for the second order neutral type delay differential equations of the form

where z(t)=x(t)+p(t)x(τ(t)), r, p, q, τ, σ, C([t0,∞),R) and fC(R,R).

The results of the paper contains several results obtained previously as special cases. Furthermore, we are also able to fix an error in a recent paper related to the oscillation of second order nonneutral delay differential equations.  相似文献

Let Mbe a monoid. A ring Ris called M-π-Armendariz if whenever α = a1g1+ a2g2+ · · · + angn, β = b1h1+ b2h2+ · · · + bmhmR[M] satisfy αβ ∈ nil(R[M]), then aibj ∈ nil(R) for all i, j. A ring R is called weakly 2-primal if the set of nilpotent elements in R coincides with its Levitzki radical. In this paper, we consider some extensions of M-π-Armendariz rings and further investigate their properties under the condition that R is weakly 2-primal. We prove that if R is an M-π-Armendariz ring then nil(R[M]) = nil(R)[M]. Moreover, we study the relationship between the weak zip-property (resp., weak APP-property, nilpotent p.p.-property, weak associated prime property) of a ring R and that of the monoid ring R[M] in case R is M-π-Armendariz.  相似文献

This paper gives a parallel computing scheme for minimizing a twice continuously differentiable function with the form
where x = (xT1,…,xTm)T and xi Rni, ∑mi = 1ni = n, and n a very big number. It is proved that we may use m parallel processors and an iterative procedure to find a minimizer of ƒ(x). The convergence and convergence rate are given under some conditions. The conditions for finding a global minimizer of ƒ(x by using this scheme are given, too. A similar scheme can also be used parallelly to solve a large scale system of nonlinear equations in the similar way. A more general case is also investigated.  相似文献

We study the problem of designing fault-tolerant routings with small routing tables for a k-connected network of n processors in the surviving route graph model. The surviving route graph R(G,ρ)/F for a graph G, a routing ρ and a set of faults F is a directed graph consisting of nonfaulty nodes of G with a directed edge from a node x to a node y iff there are no faults on the route from x to y. The diameter of the surviving route graph could be one of the fault-tolerance measures for the graph G and the routing ρ and it is denoted by D(R(G,ρ)/F). We want to reduce the total number of routes defined in the routing, and the maximum of the number of routes defined for a node (called route degree) as least as possible. In this paper, we show that we can construct a routing λ for every n-node k-connected graph such that n2k2, in which the route degree is , the total number of routes is O(k2n) and D(R(G,λ)/F)3 for any fault set F (|F|<k). In particular, in the case that k=2 we can construct a routing λ′ for every biconnected graph in which the route degree is , the total number of routes is O(n) and D(R(G,λ′)/{f})3 for any fault f. We also show that we can construct a routing ρ1 for every n-node biconnected graph, in which the total number of routes is O(n) and D(R(G1)/{f})2 for any fault f, and a routing ρ2 (using ρ1) for every n-node biconnected graph, in which the route degree is , the total number of routes is and D(R(G2)/{f})2 for any fault f.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the second-order nonlinear differential equation

A graph G is said to be cyclable if for each orientation of G, there exists a set S of vertices such that reversing all the arcs of with one end in S results in a hamiltonian digraph. Let G be a 3-connected graph of order n36. In this paper, we show that if for any three independent vertices x1, x2 and x3, |N(x1)N(x2)|+|N(x2)N(x3)|+|N(x3)N(x1)|2n+1, then G is cyclable.  相似文献

The nonlinear equation f(x,λ,) = 0, f:X × R2X, where X is a Banach space and f satisfies a Z2-symmetry relation is considered. Interest centres on a certain type of double singular point, where the solution x is symmetric and fx has a double zero eigenvalue, with one eigenvector symmetric and one antisymmetric.

We show that under certain nondegeneracy conditions, which are stated both algebraically and geometrically, there exists a path of Hopf bifurcations or imaginary Hopf bifurcations passing through the double singular point, and for which x is not symmetric except at the double singular point. An easy geometrical test is found to decide which type of phenomenon occurs. A biproduct of the analysis is that explicit expressions are obtained for quantities which help to provide a reliable numerical method to compute these paths. A pseudo-spectral method was used to obtain numerical results for the Brusselator equations to illustrate the theory.  相似文献

Thus, the graph is k-colorable with the vertices of each color class placed throughout the graph so that no subset of the class is at a distance > f(k) from the remainder of the class.

Let L be the set of all additive and hereditary properties of graphs. For P1, P2 L we define the reducible property R = P1 P2 as follows: G P1P2 if there is a bipartition (V1, V2) of V(G) such that V1 P1 and V2 P2. For a property P L, a reducible property R is called a minimal reducible bound for P if P R and for each reducible property R′, RRP R′. It is proved that the class of all outerplanar graphs has exactly two minimal reducible bounds in L. Some related problems for planar graphs are discussed.  相似文献

In this paper we study the graded minimal free resolution of the ideal, I, of any arithmetically Cohen-Macaulay projective variety. First we determine the range of the shifts (twisting numbers) that can possibly occur in the resolution, in terms of the Hilbert function of I. Then we find conditions under which some of the twisting numbers do not occur. Finally, in some ‘good’ cases, all the Betti numbers are (recursively) computed, in terms of the Hilbert function of I or that of ExtnR(R/I,R), where R is a polynomial ring over a field and n is the height of I in R.  相似文献

Associated to any simplicial complex Δ on n vertices is a square-free monomial ideal IΔ in the polynomial ring A = k[x1, …, xn], and its quotient k[Δ] = A/IΔ known as the Stanley-Reisner ring. This note considers a simplicial complex Δ* which is in a sense a canonical Alexander dual to Δ, previously considered in [1, 5]. Using Alexander duality and a result of Hochster computing the Betti numbers dimk ToriA (k[Δ],k), it is shown (Proposition 1) that these Betti numbers are computable from the homology of links of faces in Δ*. As corollaries, we prove that IΔ has a linear resolution as A-module if and only if Δ* is Cohen-Macaulay over k, and show how to compute the Betti numbers dimk ToriA (k[Δ],k) in some cases where Δ* is wellbehaved (shellable, Cohen-Macaulay, or Buchsbaum). Some other applications of the notion of shellability are also discussed.  相似文献

An in-tournament is an oriented graph such that the negative neighborhood of every vertex induces a tournament. In this paper, pancyclic orderings of a strong in-tournament D are investigated. This is a labeling, say x1,x2,…,xn, of the vertex set of D such that D[{x1,x2,…,xt}] is Hamiltonian for t=3,4,…,n. Moreover, we consider the related problem on weak pancyclic orderings, where the same holds for t4 and x1 belongs to an arbitrary oriented 3-cycle. We present sharp lower bounds for the minimum indegree ensuring the existence of a pancyclic or a weak pancyclic ordering in strong in-tournaments.  相似文献
