The yield of the 209Bi(d, γ)211g.s.Po and 211mPo (T1/2 = 25.2s) reaction was measured for deuteron energies Ed = 8–11.5 MeV. The reaction was identified by the -activities of the Po isotope. At Ed = 10.43 MeV, the (d, γ) cross section for the population of the ground state of 211Po is σg.s. = 16 ± 3 μb, the ratio relative to the cross section for the metastable state is σg.s.m = 25.4 ± 0.9. These values and the yield curves were compared with calculations using a simple model for the population of the two states. In the excitation region E* = 15–19 MeV, the branching ratio of γ- to particle emission is nearly constant and has a value of about 0.4 × 10−4.  相似文献

Cross sections have been measured for the transitions to the ground state and first excited state of 8Be and to the two 2+ levels at 16.63 MeV and 16.93 MeV excitation in the reaction 10B(p, 3He) at Ep = 49.5 MeV. The angular distributions of the cross section were compared with DWBA predictions.  相似文献

Polarization parameters have been determined for deuteron elastic scattering from 27Al, Si and 60Ni at energies between 7 and 11 MeV and laboratory scattering angles from 30° to 135°. The vector polarization, iT11, and two tensor parameters T20 and T22, were measured by scattering polarized and unpolarized deuterons which were obtained from a tandem accelerator. The largest polarization was |iT11| ≈ 0.3 and |T20| ≈ 0.2 for 27Al at 11 MeV. For 60Ni, the observed polarizations were substantially smaller. Angular distributions of the unpolarized cross section were also measured for 27Al and Si. An optical-model analysis of the polarization and cross-section data was performed. The vector polarization was reproduced reasonably well by a vector spin-orbit coupling of similar strength as found for nucleon scattering. A tensor interaction appears to be needed to account for the observed tensor polarizations.  相似文献

Due to improvements in the sensitivity of gravitational wave (GW) detectors, the detection of GWs originating from the fundamental quasi-normal mode (f-mode) of neutron stars has become possible. The future detection of GWs originating from the f-mode of neutron stars will provide a potential way to improve our understanding of the nature of nuclear matter inside neutron stars. In this work, we investigate the constraint imposed by the f-mode oscillation of neutron stars on the symmetry energy of nuclear matter using Bayesian analysis and parametric EOS. It is shown that if the frequency of the f-mode of a neutron star of known mass is observed precisely, the symmetry energy at twice the saturation density (Esym(2ρ0)) of nuclear matter can be constrained within a relatively narrow range. For example, when all the following parameters are within the given intervals: 220 ≤ K0 ≤ 260 MeV, 28 ≤ Esym(ρ0) ≤ 36 MeV, 30 ≤ L ≤ 90 MeV, −800 ≤ J0 ≤ 400 MeV, − 400 ≤ Ksym ≤ 100 MeV, −200 ≤ Jsym ≤ 800 MeV, Esym(2ρ0) will be constrained to within ${48.8}_{-5.5}^{+6.6}$ MeV if the f-mode frequency of a canonical neutron star (1.4 M) is observed to be 1.720 kHz with a 1% relative error. Furthermore, if only f-mode frequency detection is available, i.e. there is no stellar mass measurement, a precisely detected f-mode frequency can also impose an accurate constraint on the symmetry energy. For example, given the same parameter space and the same assumed observed f-mode frequency mentioned above, and assuming that the stellar mass is in the range of 1.2–2.0 M, Esym(2ρ0) will be constrained to within ${49.5}_{-6.8}^{+8.1}\,\mathrm{MeV}$. In addition, it is shown that a higher slope of 69 ≤ L ≤ 143 MeV will give a higher posterior distribution of Esym(2ρ0), ${53.8}_{-6.4}^{+7.0}\,\mathrm{MeV}$.  相似文献

Angular distribution of the reaction 12C(d,τ) 11B leading to the 3/2 ground state and the 4.44 MeV excited (5/2 state 11B have measured at Ed = 80 MeV up to about 70° and 40°, respectively. The inclusion of second-order processes in the framework of CCBA calculations gives a good reproduction of the 3/2 as well as of the DWBA forbidden 3/2 angular distribution. The strong dependence of the cross section on the sign of the deformation supports a positive β2 value for 11B.  相似文献

Angular distribution measurements have been performed on the 21Ne(p, d)20Ne and 21Ne(d, p)22Ne reactions at Ep = 20 MeV and Ed = 10.2 MeV, respectively. In the 21Ne(p, d) 20Ne reaction, the prolific formation of the Jπ = 2+, 1.63 MeV state was characterized by ln = 2 pickup, and the distribution associated with the 44, 4.25 MeV state was suggestive of a weak ln = 2 pickup. All of the observed ln = 1 pickup strength is associated with formation of the 2, 4.97 MeV 20Ne level. The 21Ne(d, p)22Ne results indicate that ln = 2 transfer is involved in the formation of the 1.28, 3.36, 5.52, 5.63 and 6.65 MeV 22Ne states. The angular distribution observed for the 2+, 4.46 MeV state and also the unresolved 5.33, 5.36 MeV composite of states required both ln = 0 and ln = 2 components in the associated distorted-wave Born approximation fits. The spectroscopic factors extracted from the present results are compared with those predicted by the Nilsson model without mixing: Applications of the angular momentum projection rule to the 21Ne(d, p)22Ne reaction are considered.  相似文献

The differential cross section of the reaction γp→π+n has been measured with the PHOENICS detector at ELSA in Bonn. For the first time this cross section has been determined simultaneously over a large range of photon energies (Eγ = 220−900 MeV) and pion angles (Θc.m.pi = 35°−135°) with a tagged photon facility. The experimental set-up allowed a considerable kinematic overdetermination of the investigated reaction. Accordingly, the background contributions have been suppressed to below 1%. The measured differential cross section is in good agreement with existing data. The comparison with different model calculations is presented.  相似文献

In the string theory framework for physics beyond the standard model the hidden sector of E8×E8 heterotic string theory and the graviton multiplet provide compelling sources for the dark matter in the universe.

In the present investigation I consider the graviton multiplet as one particular dark matter source in heterotic string theory. In particular, it is pointed out that an appreciable fraction of dark matter from the graviton multiplet requires a mass generating phase transition around Tc108 GeV, where the symmetry partners of the graviton would evolve from an ultrahard fluid to pressureless dark matter. This indicates m10 MeV for the massive components of the graviton multiplet, and it is reassuring that the corresponding dilaton lifetime τ1017 s is compatible with a dark matter interpretation.  相似文献

The reaction 40Ca(d, p)41Ca has been studied with a resolution 30 keV. Excitation functions for the first three strong states have been measured in the energy interval 9.80 to 12.12 MeV. Cross section fluctuations are found to be entirely within statistics, i.e. < 5 %, and it is concluded that σCN(θ)/(2Jf+1) < 5 μb/sr. Differential cross sections have been measured for elastic scattering, and the (d, p) transitions to the ground state and the strong single-particle states at E* = 1.949, 2.471, 3.623 and 3.954 MeV at Ed = 12.00 MeV and, over a limited angular range, at Ed = 11.00 MeV. The angular distributions have been analysed by the DWBA method and spectroscopic factors have been determined. It is suggested that the 3.623 MeV state may be the third state predicted by Gerace and Green rather than as assigned by earlier studies.  相似文献

The spectra of electrons scattered inelastically from 4He have been measured at incident energies from 150 MeV to 400 MeV for scattering angles from 38° to 90°. Through the use of a liquid 4He target, a high momentum resolution (≈0.25%) was obtained, and the 20 MeV 0+ state of the -particle was observed for the first time in electron scattering. The excitation energy and the total width of this state were determined and are in good agreement with the results from other experimental methods. It was found that the total disintegration cross section appears be smaller than 2(σpn) by more than an order of magnitude at the lowest q2(≈ 0.33 fm−2). In earlier work the assumption of a total cross section of 2(σpn) was found to be quite accurate for higher q2. As a new result, the partial radiative width for the 0+ state is determined to be Γrad = 1.1±0.3 meV.  相似文献

研究表明, 峰值强度为1022–1025 W/cm2量级的圆偏振激光脉冲的有质动力场可以直接加速并产生GeV–TeV的单能电子束, 其中被加速电子的能量与激光脉冲的峰值强度成线性定标关系. 为了获得更高能量的电子束, 通过对一维解析模型的分析得到: 如果电子束在激光传播的方向上具一个初始能量E0, 那么这种线性的定标关系可以被打破, 被加速电子束最终的能量可以被放大E0倍. 这是由于具有一定初始能量的电子束不容易被激光脉冲抛在后面, 进而获得更高的加速距离. 二维粒子模拟结果显示: 当电子束的初始能量E0为MeV量级时这个方法是有效的, 而当E0过大时这个方法失效. 这是因为当电子的加速距离远大于激光脉冲的瑞利长度时, 激光强度的衰减使得电子束的加速错过了最佳加速场.  相似文献

The diffusion of W on a (211) plane of a W field emitter has been re-examined by means of the fluctuation autocorrelation method. Diffusion along channels yielded E = 16.8 ± 0.5 kcal, D0 = (3 ± 1) × 10−5 cm2 s−1. For diffusion across channels E =6.6 kcal, D0 = 4 × 10−9cm2 s−1 at T < 752 K, and E = 24 kcal, D0 = 5 × 10−4 cm2 s−1 at T > 752 K. The results for diffusion along channels yield E and D0 values intermediate between recent results by Wang and Ehrlich [Surf. Sci. 206 (1988) 451] using field ion microscopy (E = 19 kcal, D0 = 7.7 × 10−3 cm2 s−1) and Tringides and Gomer [J. Chem. Phys. 84 (1986) 4049], using the same method as the present work but a larger slit (E = 13.3 kcal, D0 = 7 × 10−7 cm2 s−1). The results for cross channel diffus good agreement with those of Tringides and Gomer below 752 K, where these authors stopped. The new high temperature results suggest that the channel wall exchange mechanism postulated by Tringides and Gomer for cross channel diffusion at low T gives way to diffusion by climbing over the channel walls with higher E but also higher D0 above 752 K. Possible reasons for the discrepancies between these three sets of results and the absence of cross channel diffusion in the work of Wang and Ehrlich are briefly discussed.  相似文献

We have investigated the low-lying energy spectrum and electromagnetic transition strengths in even–even 76Se using the proton–neutron interacting boson model (IBM-2). The theoretical calculation for the energy levels and E2 and M1 transition strengths is in good agreement with the experimental data. Specifically, the excitation energy and E2 transition of ${0}_{2}^{+}$ state, which is intimately associated with shape coexistence, can be accurately reproduced. The analysis on low-lying states and the key structure indicators R1, R2, R3 and R4 and M1 transitions indicates that there is a coexistence between spherical shape and γ-soft shape in 76Se.  相似文献

The role of π- and -meson exchange currents and dynamic Δ-isobar currents with both π- and -exchange are studied in two-nucleon knockout reactions. The Gottfried approximation is tested for these different absorption mechanisms by making a comparison between a factorized (Gottfried) model and an unfactorized model. For the unfactorized model, analytical expressions are given for the different absorption mechanisms by using harmonic-oscillator wavefunctions. The formalism is applied to the 16O(γ,pn) reaction in the photon-energy range Eγ = 60–300 MeV. Over the whole energy range, the -meson degree of freedom is found not to be negligible. It is demonstrated that the unfactorized treatment leads to a sizeable reduction of the cross section and to a change of the shape of the angular cross section.  相似文献

A simultaneous measurement of mass (M), charge (Z) and kinetic energy (Ek) distributions of fragments in thermal-neutron fission of 235U has been carried out using a back-to-back ΔE-E detector system. A pair of gridded ionization chambers filled with P-5 gas measured the energy losses ΔE1, ΔE2 of the complementary fragments in the gas, and the residual fragment energies were measured with a pair of semiconductor detectors. The four-parameter data were analysed to obtain fragment Z-distributions using the mass-momentum conservation relations to obtain M and then using the dependence of ΔE on E/M and Z. The charge resolution for the light-fragment group was determined at the gas pressures of 44, 150, 270 Torr and the best Z-resolution was obtained at 270 Torr. The data at this latter gas pressure were analysed to obtain the variances σ2z of the fragment charge distributions for different Ek windows and this was compared with the measured variances σ2A of the fragment mass distribution as a function of Ek as obtained by twoparameter measurements of the correlated fragment energies. The dependence of the measured variances σ2A, σ2Z on Ek is considered with a view to learning about the degree of neutron-proton correlations in the nucleon exchanges taking place during the mass division in fission, in analogy with that used in the case of heavy-ion deep inelastic collisions (DIC). The variation of σ2A2z with Ek observed in the present work, which is somewhat similar to that seen in heavy-ion DIC, implies that the fragment mass division in fission is governed by nucleon-exchange processes, where the degree of neutron-proton correlations is dependent on the total kinetic energy Ek. While for very large Ek the neutron-proton motion in the exchange processes is found to be uncorrelated, for lower Ek values the motion is seen to be correlated. Implications of these results regarding the applicability of fission models such as statistical model are pointed out.  相似文献

The charged current nuclear transition 12C(ve, e)12Ng.s. has been observed in the KARMEN experiment. The flux average cross section for ve from μ+ decay at rest is determined to be σ = [8.1±0.9(stat.)±0.75 (syst.)]×10−42cm2. Angular distributions of proton groups, corresponding to fifteen levels observed in the reaction 34S(d, p)35S at Ed = 10 MeV have been measured with a split-pole spectrograph equipped with position-sensitive detectors. For the levels at Ex = 0, 1.58, 1.99, 2.34, 2.73, 3.68, 3.80 and 4.20 MeV, ln = 2, 0, 3, 1, (2, 3), (1), 1 and 1, respectively, has been found from a DWBA analysis. Experimental spectroscopic factors and those following from many-particle shell-model calculations for the lowest four states are in satisfactory agreement. The ground state Q-value has been measured as Q = 4757 ± 5 keV.  相似文献

Zn1−xMnxS epilayers were grown on GaAs (1 0 0) substrates by hot-wall epitaxy. X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns revealed that all the epilayers have a zincblende structure. The optical properties were investigated using spectroscopic ellipsometry at 300 K from 3.0 to 8.5 eV. The obtained data were analyzed for determining the critical points of pseudodielectric function spectra, (E) = 1(E) + i2(E), such as E0, E0 + Δ0, and E1, and three E2 (Σ, Δ, Γ) structures at a lower Mn composition range. These critical points were determined by analytical line-shapes fitted to numerically calculated derivatives of their pseudodielectric functions. The observation of new peaks, as well as the shifting and broadening of the critical points of Zn1−xMnxS epilayers, were investigated as a function of Mn composition by ellipsometric measurements for the first time. The characteristics of the peaks changed with increasing Mn composition. In particular, four new peaks were observed between 4.0 and 8.0 eV for Zn1−xMnxS epilayers, and their characteristics were investigated in this study.  相似文献
