The synthesis of a new ligand (1) containing a single phenanthroline (phen) chromophore and a flexibly connected diethylenetriamine tetracarboxylic acid unit (DTTA) as a lanthanide (Ln) coordination site is reported [1 is 4-[(9-methyl-1,10-phenantrol-2-yl)methyl]-1,4,7-triazaheptane-1,1,7,7-tetraacetic acid]. From 1, an extended series of water-soluble Ln.1 complexes was obtained, where Ln is Eu(III), Tb(III), Gd(III), Sm(III), Dy(III), Pr(III), Ho(III), Yb(III), Nd(III), and Er(III). The stoichiometry for the association was found 1:1, with an association constant K(A) > or = 10(7) s(-1) as determined by employing luminescence spectroscopy. The luminescence and photophysical properties of the series of lanthanide complexes were investigated in both H2O and D2O solutions. High efficiencies for the sensitized emission, phi(se), in air-equilibrated water were observed for the Ln.1 complexes of Eu(III) and Tb(III) in the visible region (phi(se) = 0.24 and 0.15, respectively) and of Sm(III), Dy(III), Pr(III), Ho(III), Yb(III), Nd(III), and Er(III) in the vis and/or near-infrared region [phi(se) = 2.5 x 10(-3), 5 x 10(-4), 3 x 10(-5), 2 x 10(-5), 2 x 10(-4), 4 x 10(-5), and (in D2O) 4 x 10(-5), respectively]. For Eu.1 and Tb.1, luminescence data for water and deuterated water allowed us to estimate that no solvent molecules (q) are bound to the ion centers (q = 0). Luminescence quenching by oxygen was investigated in selected cases.  相似文献

Polycrystalline boratotungstates of composition Ln3BWO9 (Ln = Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy) are prepared by solid-phase synthesis and structurally studied. The structures are refined using the Rietveld method for hexagonal space group P63 (Z = 2). The boratotungstate structures are frameworks. The rare-earth cations in the structure are coordinated by an array of nine oxygen atoms (three oxygen atoms from borato groups BO3 and six from WO6 polyhedra). The nature of the optical nonlinearity in the hexagonal boratotungstates Ln3BWO9 is a direct consequence of the acentricity of both the tungstate and the rare-earth polyhedra in the structure. Dimorphism is discovered in polycrystalline La3BWO9.  相似文献

The stability constants of the complexes of 3-hydroxynaphthalene-2-carboxylic acid with some lanthanides have been obtained potentiometrically in aqueous dioxane (50%,V/V) at three temperatures and keeping the ionic strength at 0.1M (KNO3), usingIrving-Rossotti titration technique. The values of overall changes in G°, H°, and S° have also been evaluated.  相似文献

We have discovered room temperature photoluminescence in Sm3+ and Pr3+ dithiocarbamate complexes. Surprisingly, these complexes exhibit more intense emission than those of the Eu3+, Tb3+, and Dy3+ analogues. The electronic absorption, excitation, and emission spectra are reported for the complexes [Ln(S2CNR2)3L] and NH2Et2[Ln(S2CNEt2)4], where Ln = Sm, Pr; R = ethyl, ibutyl, benzyl; and L = 1,10-phenanthroline, 2,2'-bipyridine, and 5-chloro-1,10-phenanthroline. The lowest ligand-localized triplet energy level (T1) of the complexes are determined from the phosphorescence spectra of analogous La3+ and Gd3+ chelates. The luminescence decay curves were measured to determine the excited-state lifetimes for the Pr3+ and Sm3+ complexes. X-ray crystal structures of Sm(S2CNiBu2)3phen, Pr(S2CNEt2)3phen, and Pr(S2CNiBu2)3phen are also reported.  相似文献

New solid amorphous compounds of Ce(III), Pr(III), Nd(III), and Sm(III) with 5,7-dihydroxyflavone (L,chrysin) were obtained. Their composition and some physicochemical properties were studied by elementary analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, magnetic measurements, 1H NMR, UV/Vis, and infrared spectroscopies. Upon heating, the hydrated compounds [LnL2(H2O)2Cl]·2H2O decomposed to the oxides. Structure of the compounds was elucidated on the basis of obtained results. It was found that chelation of the metal ion occurs at the 5-hydroxy-4-keto site.  相似文献

Summary Picrolonic acid (HPA) in methylisobutylketone (MIBK) (0.01 mol. dm-3) has been used for the extraction of lanthanide(III) ions such as Sm(III), Gd(III) and Ho(III) (Me) (~3. 10-6mol. dm-3) from pH 1-2 buffer solutions of 0.1 mol. dm-3(H+, Cl-) ionic strength and quantitative extraction (>95%) was found at pH 2. Through slope analysis the composition of the organometallic adduct responsible for the extraction came out to be M(PA)3. The conditional equilibrium constant values, log Kex, were deduced to be 2.60±0.01, 2.09±0.01 and 1.44±0.03 for these lanthanide(III) ions, respectively. The metals in concentration up to ~2.5. 10-4mol. dm-3can be quantitatively extracted by the proposed system. Among the various anions, fluoride, oxalate and cyanide ions (~3.0. 10-4mol. dm-3) and, among the cations, Zn(II) Cu(II), Co(II) and Fe(III) reduced the lanthanide extraction. The extraction of various other metal ions at the optimized conditions of Me extraction for this series of lanthanide ions was also studied and high separation factors (102-103) were obtained showing the good selectivity of this extraction system.  相似文献

The composition and stability of La3+, Pr3+ and Lu3+ complexes with aspartic acid and asparagine were analysed. The formation of complexes of the typeML andMHL was determined for La3+ and Pr3+ with aspartic acid, and of the typeMHL for Lu3+ with aspartic acid. For La3+, Pr3+ and Lu3+ with asparagine the formation ofML(OH) complexes was observed. By means of1H NMR and13C NMR studies the participation in the coordination of both -COOH groups was determined for aspartic acid, whereas for asparagine the participation of the -COOH group was determined in complexes with La3+, Pr3+, and of the -COOH and the -NH2 groups in the complex with Lu3+.

-Lanthanide(III) chlorosulphates, Ln(SO3Cl)3 (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho and Er) have been synthesized by solvolytic reaction of chlorosulphuric acid on the corresponding benzoates. The low conductivity values and the IR spectra of these compounds suggest a cation-anion interaction leading to covalent bonding. The bands observed in the reflectance spectra and the values of magnetic moments may indicate a coordination number of 6 for these metals, with bidentate chlorosulphate groups.  相似文献

Eleven new quaternary rare-earth tellurides, CsLnZnTe3 (Ln=La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, and Y), were prepared from solid-state reactions at 1123 K. These isostructural materials crystallize in the layered KZrCuS3 structure type in the orthorhombic space group Cmcm. The structure is composed of LnTe6 octahedra and ZnTe4 tetrahedra that share edges to form [LnZnTe3] layers. These layers stack perpendicular to [010] and are separated by layers of face- and edge-sharing CsTe8 bicapped trigonal prisms. There are no Te-Te bonds in the structure of these CsLnZnTe3 compounds so the formal oxidation states of Cs/Ln/Zn/Te are 1+/3+/2+/2-. Optical band gaps of 2.13 eV for CsGdZnTe3 and 2.12 eV for CsTbZnTe3 were deduced from single-crystal optical absorption measurements. A first-principles calculation of the density of states and the frequency-dependent optical properties was performed on CsGdZnTe3. The calculated band gap of 2.1 eV is in good agreement with the experimental value. A quadratic fit for the lanthanide contraction of the Ln-Te distance is superior to a linear one if the closed-shell atom is included.  相似文献

Binuclear complexes of Sm(III), Eu(III), Gd(III), Tb(III), and Dy(III) nitrates with 4,4,10,10-tetramethyl-1,3,7,9-tetraazospiro[5.5]undecane-2,8-dione (C11H20N4O2, SC)—[Sm(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2(I), [Eu(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2 (II), [Gd(NO3)2(SC)(H2O)3)]2(NO3)2 (III), [Tb(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2 (IV), [Dy(NO3)3(SC)(H2O)]2 (V), are synthesized, and their X-ray diffraction analyses are carried out. The crystals of complexes I–V are monoclinic: space group P21/n for III and P21/c for I, II, IV, and V. In centrosymmetric coordination complexes II, III, IV, and V, the Ln atoms are coordinated by two O(1) and O(2) atoms of two molecules of the SC ligands bound by a symmetry procedure (1 ? x, ?y, 1 ? z), three bidentate nitrate anions, and a water molecule. The coordination numbers of the metal atoms are equal to 9, and the coordination polyhedra are considerably distorted three-capped trigonal prisms, whose bases include the O(1), O(2), O(12) and O(3), O(7), O(9) atoms. The dihedral angle between the bases of the prism is 18°, and that between the mean planes of the side faces is 55°–71° for I, 17° and 55°–71° for II, 16° and 55°–70° for IV, and 16° and 55°–70° for V. The Sm...Sm distance in complex I is 9.44 Å, Eu...Eu in II is 9.42 Å, Tb...Tb in IV is 9.36Å, and Dy...Dy in V is 9.36Å. The gadolinium atom in complex III is coordinated by two oxygen atoms of two ligand molecules bound by a symmetry procedure (?x, ?y + 1, ?z + 1), two bidentate nitrate anions, and three water molecules. One of the nitro groups in compound III is localized in the external coordination sphere of the metal. The coordination number of gadolinium is 9, and the coordination polyhedron is a significantly distorted three-capped trigonal prism, whose base includes the O(1), O(2), O(7) and O(4), O(5), O(9) atoms. The dihedral angle between the bases of the prism is 22.8°, and that between the mean planes of the side faces is 53°–72°. The Gd...Gd distance in complex III is 9.17 Å.  相似文献

The tartrate monohydrates of Sm(III) and Tb(III), Sm2C12H12O18·H2O and Tb2C12H12O18·H2O, were prepared and characterized on the basis of their elemental analysis and IR spectral studies. The thermal decompositions of these compounds, studied by TG and DSC methods, were found to follow an almost uniform pattern. Decomposition occurs in four steps. The first step involves dehydration, accompanied by partial decomposition to the oxalate, followed by conversion to the carbonate. The ultimate product in each case is the oxide M2O3, whereM=Sm or Tb. Reflectance spectra of the terbium compound were recorded at various stages of decomposition. The kinetics of the first decomposition step was studied by the non-isothermal method. TG and DSC data for this step were analysed for the evaluation of various kinetic parameters. Reasonable values ofE, Z, andΔS + were obtained.α vs. T curves were drawn on the basis of the TG and DSC data. The results suggest that the mechanism involves random nucleation.  相似文献

Specific magnetic susceptibilities (s) of several newly synthesized chelates of some of the lanthanons [La(III), Pr(III) and Nd(III)] are reported. These derivatives are of the general type,Ln(O-i-C3H7)3–n (C6H5CHNRO) n [where,Ln=La(III), Pr(III) or Nd(III);n=1 or 2 and R=CH2CH2, CH2CHCH3 or C6H4] and have been prepared by the reaction of the alkoxides of the lanthanons withSchiff bases such as benzylidene-2-hydroxyethylamine (C6H5CHNCH2CH2OH), benzylidene-2-hydroxy-n-propylamine (C6H5CHNCH2CHOHCH3) and benzylidene-o-aminophenol (C6H5CHNC6H4OH) in different molar relations in dry benzene. The resulting crystalline derivatives are non-volatile, light to deep yellow or blackish in colour. These tend to polymerize on keeping as shown by their insoluble nature and higher melting points, the polymerisation possibly occurring by the intermolecular coordination through oxygen atoms as reported earlier1.UsingGouy method2, the bis-isopropoxy mono-Schiff base and mono-isopropoxy bis-Schiff base complexes of La(III) have been shown to be diamagnetic, with s values being in the range of –0.32 to –0.45×10–6 and –0.39 to –0.55×10–6 c.g.s. units at 305 K respectively. In the remaining derivatives, Pr(O-i-C3H7)3–n (C6H5CH NRO) n and Nd(O-i-C3H7)3–n (C6H5CHNRO) n (where,n=1 or 2 and R=CH2CH2, CH2CHCH3 or C6H4) the magnetic moment values range between 3.25 to 3.32 and 3.30 to 3.33 B respectively indicating their paramagnetic nature.  相似文献

This work considers how the ratio signal/noise and the introduction of a cut-off frequency affect the calculus of the thermogenesis. In particular, the validity of the experimental criterion used to calculate this frequency inside the deconvolutive calculus is studied. The deconvolutive efficiency of the universal transference function is also presented comparatively.  相似文献
