The transition probabilities of two Ar(I) lines and one Ar(II) line have been measured in emission on wall-stabilized argon arc plasmas (0·5×105?p, Nm-2?3×105; 10,000?T, K?20,000; 1022?Ne, m-3?5×1023) using the “method of best fit (MBF)”. The results (without line-wing correction) are for Ar(I) at 714·7 nm, Anm=5·66×105 s-1±5%; for Ar(I) at 430·0 nm, Anm=3·40×105 s-1±5%; for Ar(II) at 480·6 nm, Anm=8·82×107 s-1±7%. These values were not influenced by deviations from LTE, which have been observed at electron number densities ne?1023 m-3. The small uncertainties were achieved after careful corrections of different sources of error.  相似文献

The nonlinear refractive index γ of CS2 is studied using laser pulses of various durations (from 110 fs to 75 ns). It is found that γ increases with increasing pulse duration within the picosecond region (from (3 ± 0.6) × 10?15 cm2 W?1 at 110 fs to (3.5 ± 0.7) × 10?14 cm2 W?1 at 75 ns) due to orientational nonlinearities. Variations in the sign of γ caused by the thermal effect at different pulse durations and repetition rates are analyzed. It is demonstrated that the fast electronic component, the component associated with molecular processes, causing positive nonlinear refraction, and the acoustic component, responsible for negative nonlinear refraction, manifest themselves simultaneously. The results of a study of the nonlinear absorption of carbon disulfide are presented. The two-and three-photon absorption coefficients of CS2 are determined to be (5 ± 1.5) × 10?11 cm W?1 and (2.8 ± 0.8) × 10?23 cm3 W?2, respectively.  相似文献

The phosphorescence spectrum of the metastable 4 Eu state of copper porphin in single crystals of n-octane (C8) and n-decane (C10) has been studied between 2·3 and 35 K, with and without a magnetic field B. The crystal field splitting between the orbital components observed at 35 K is δ = 30·3 ± 0·3 (C8), 13·8 ± 0·2 cm-1 (C10). From the Zeeman shifts we derive the effective orbital angular momentum Λ′ = 0·8 ± 0·2 (C10), the spin-orbit coupling parameter |Z′| = 1·5 ± 1·0 cm-1 (C10), the spin-spin dipolar interaction parameters D = -0·1 ± 0·2 cm-1 (C8, C10) and |E| = 0·31 ± 0·03 cm-1 (C8, C10), and the g-factors g = 2·14 ± 0·04 (C8, C10) and g = 2·00 ± 0·03 (C8, C10).  相似文献

The dielectric, optical and non-linear optical properties of Ba6Ti2Nb8O30 single crystals were examined from room temperature up to the Curie temperature of 245°C. The spontaneous polarization at room temperature was estimated as 0·22±0·01 C/m2. The linear electrooptic constants were measured as r33T=(1·17±0·02)×10?10 and r13T=(0·42±0·01)×10?10 m/V. The non-linear optical coefficients were d33=(15·1±2·0)×10?12 and d31=(11·0±2·0)×10?12 m/V, which are comparable to those of Ba4Na2Nb10O30. Temperature dependences of δ33 and δ31 (Miller's δ) were found to be proportional to that of Ps.  相似文献

Long-wavelength acoustic phonons have been studied for each of the [ζ00]T, [ζ00]L, [ζζ0]L and [ζζ0]T1 branches in solid Kr at T = 77 K by means of inelastic neutron scattering utilizing ‘cold neutrons’ as they are available in the long-wave length tail of the pile spectrum. The raw data have been corrected for resolution effects taking into account the curvature of the dispersion surface and variation of mode eigenvectors. It has turned out, that this yields appreciable shifts of the raw data. The results of our experiment give c11 = 4·25 ± 0·10, c44 = 2·04 ± 0·03, c12 = 2·82 ± 0·12 and a value for B = (c11 + 2c12)/3 = 3·30 ± 0·09 × 1010 dyne/cm2. Available thermodynamic data for Kr gives a derived value for Bad = 2·58 ± 0·06 × 1010 dyne/cm2 indicating a large difference between zero sound and first sound in solid Kr at high temperatures.  相似文献

Quantum oscillations in the ultrasonic attenuation in AuSb2 were studied as a function of temperature, magnetic field and crystal orientation. The effective masses of the carriers associated with the F5 and F6 oscillations were measured in a (110) plane. For the F5 oscillations, the Dingle temperature and apparent magnetic breakdown field appear to depend strongly upon orientation. For the F6 oscillations, however, there were no signs of magnetic breakdown up to the highest magnetic fields available (70 kOe) and the Dingle temperature was roughly independent of orientation. From the acoustic velocities, the elastic constants were determined at 77 K: C11 = (14·7 ± 0·9) × 1011 dyne/cm2, C12 = (6·0 ± 0·9) × 1011 dyne/cm2, and C44 = (2·59 ± 0·06) × 1011 dyne/cm2. These elastic constants give an adiabatic compressibility Ks = (1·13 ± 0·12) × 10?12 cm2/dyne and a Debye temperature ?D = (203 ± 15) K.  相似文献

The third-order elastic constants of single crystal GaSb are determined using ultrasonic pulse interferometer at 10 MHz. The constants at 300°K, in units of 1011 N.m.−2, are Cl11 = ™ 4 ·75 ± 0·06 C144 = + 0·50 ± 0·25 C113 = ™ 3 ·08 ± 0·02 C166 = ™ 2·16 ± 0·13 C123 = ™ 0 ·44 ± 0·29 C456 = ™ 0·25 ± 0·15 These constants are used to evaluate the three anharmonic first and second neighbour force constants based on modified Keating’s model. By comparing diffusion coefficientsD of bivalent cations Ba2+, Ca2+, Sr2+ in NaCl crystals it was shown that in the temperature range above 550 °CD (Ba2+)>D (Sr2+)>D (Ca2+) is valid. Temperature dependences of jump frequenciesw 2 of these cations are described byw 2 (Ba2+)=(2·15±0·55) × 1012 × exp {?(0·817±0.007)/kT};w 2 (Sr2+)=(2·9±1·1) × 1012 × exp {?(0·84±0.02)/kT} andw 2 (Ca2+)=(5·5±6·5) × 1010 × exp {?(0·51±0·07)/kT}. It was demonstrated that in NaCl crystals the activation enthalpy and the preexponential factor of the jump frequencyw 2 increase with increasing ionic radius and mass of the bivalent alkaline earth cation.  相似文献

The forced volume magnetostriction of polycrystalline nickel at 4.2 K has been determined with a relative accuracy of 2 × 10?2. Combining our result with previous data on the forced magnetostriction, we derive for the forced magnetostriction constants: h'0 = (40 ± 1) × 10?8T?1, h'1 = (-95 ± 2) × 10?8T?1, h'2 = (-19 ± 2) × 10 ?8T?1.  相似文献

The diffusion of 15N in α-Ti was studied in the 673–1023 K temperature range by using the ion implantation and nuclear resonance techniques. The measurements show that the diffusion coefficients follow an Arrhenius behavior D(T)=D0 -Q/RT, where D0=(1.1±0.8)×10-7 m2 s-1 and Q=(183±2) kJ/mol. A new molecular C60 complex of the composition (BMDT-TTF) · C60 · 2CS2 (I) with the bis(methylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (BMDT-TTF) organic donor is synthesized. The molecular and crystal structures of this complex are determined by x-ray diffraction. The (BMDT-TTF) · C60 · 2CS2 (I) compound crystallizes in a monoclinic crystal system. The main crystal data are as follows: a=13.550(5) Å, b=9.964(7) Å, c=17.125(8) Å, β=99.52(4)°, V=2280(2) Å3, M=1229.45, and space group P21/m. Crystals of I have a layered structure: layers consisting of C60 molecules alternate with layers composed of BMDT-TTF and CS2 molecules. It is found that, in complex I, the donor and C60 molecules are linked through the shortest contacts, which leads to a change in the molecular geometry of BMDT-TTF. The donor molecules in a crystal layer are characterized by the shortest S...S contacts. The IR data indicate the electroneutrality of the fullerene molecule. The electrical conductivity of (BMDT-TTF) · C60 · 2CS2 single crystals is measured using the four-point probe method at room temperature: σRT=2×10?5 Ω?1 cm?1.  相似文献

A simple model involving only three force constants allows us to evaluate the short range interactions in perovskite fluorides from the experimental values of the elastic constants and the lattice parameters of these compounds. The results indicate that the A-F bonds are quite central in character whereas the M-F bonds are axially symmetric; thus the short range A-F interactions are assumed to have the Born-Mayer form:ZZZZZBy studying the variations of the force constants with respect to the lattice parameter r, it is determined that ρ = 0·232 , λ = 2·8 × 10?8 ergs for K+-F?; ρ = 0·232 , λ = 4·1 × 10?8 ergs for Rb+-F?; λ2, ρ2 and ρ2 are respectively 6·9 × 10?10 ergs, 0·34 , 0·98for Co2+-F? and 2·9 × 10?10 ergs, 0·46 , 1·40for Mn2+-F?. Taking into account both the short range repulsive potential and the long range electrostatic potential we can study the variations of the lattice energy as a function of r near the equilibrium position and deduce a theoretical value of the lattice distance. In spite of the simplicity of the model, the discrepancy between the experimental and the theoretical values is less than 10 per cent for all the compounds.  相似文献

The dissolution of acetylsalicylic acid in supercritical carbon dioxide (SC–CO2) is investigated using Fourier transform IR spectroscopy. Temporal dependences of integrated intensities of the absorption band of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) near 1199 cm–1 are measured for various ASA charges placed into a cuvette. Molar fractions of ASA in the saturated solution in SC–CO2 are determined at a temperature of 40°C and pressures of 10.0 and 15.0 MPa, and the components are 2.10 ± 0.25 × 10–4 and 11.0 ± 1.5 × 10–4, respectively.  相似文献

Catalytic chemical vapor deposition (CVD) grown multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) are treated with HF and deionized water and are then placed into alumina ceramics for improvement of both electrical conductivity and mechanical properties. In particular, an alternating current (ac) electric field is applied during the coagulation of the alumina slurries to induce the formation of aligned MWNT networks in the alumina matrix. The coagulated alumina matrix composite bases filled with 2 wt. % ac electric field-induced aligned MWNTs, are then sintered by hot pressing. The electrical conductivities of the prepared composites in directions both parallel and perpendicular to the MWNTs alignment, reach values of 6.2×10-2 S m-1 and 6.8×10-9 S m-1, respectively, compared with that of 4.5×10-15 S m-1 for pristine alumina ceramics. The fracture toughness and flexing strengths of the prepared composites in the two directions are 4.66±0.66 MPa m0.5, 390±70 MPa, and 3.65±0.46 MPa m0.5, 191±5 MPa, respectively, compared with 3.78±0.66 MPa m0.5 and 302±50 MPa for pristine alumina, 4.09±0.15 MPa m0.5 and 334±60 MPa for alumina filled with 2 wt. % MWNTs prepared without the effect of an electric field, respectively. The results indicate that the electric field leads to anisotropic behaviour. The properties of the composites along the direction of the MWNTs alignment are much improved with the addition of a small amount of CVD grown MWNTs. PACS 61.46.Fg; 61.66.Fn  相似文献

The strenghths and self-broadened linewidths of the parallel 2400-0000 and perpendicular 0112-0000 bands of N2O have been measured with a precision better than 3%, using a deconvolution procedure. For both transitions, the coefficient of the vibration-rotation interaction polynomial, the values of the rotationless dipolar transition moment, and the band intensity have been calculated from the line strengths. For the total intensity the values found are S00002400 = (1.325 ± 0.021) × 10?2 cm?2·atm?1 and S00000112 = (1.209 ± 0.018) × 10?2 cm?2·atm?1.  相似文献

Measurements made at temperatures of 197, 233, and 294°K of the absolute intensities and self-broadening coefficients for the vibration-rotation lines of the 201III←000 band of the 12C16O2 molecule, are reported. From these measurements, values have been derived for the vibration-rotation interaction factor (FVR), the purely vibrational transition moment (|R(O)|), and the intensity (SBand). The results are: EVR(m) = 1+(2.2±0.7)×10?3m+(5.6±1.6)×10×5m2, |R(0)| = (2.064±0.017)×10?3 debye, SBand = 21,329±69 cm?1km?1atm?1STP.
