应用激光测速技术和氢气泡流动显示技术对沟槽面湍流边界层特性及近壁区拟序结构特征进行了精细的测量和观察。实验结果表明:与光滑面湍流边界层相比,沟槽面端流边界层的黏性底层厚度、过渡层厚度及流速分布对数公式中的积分常数C均有所增大,说明采用的沟槽面具有减阻特性。此外,无量纲低速带条间距明显减小,最多减小20%,说明无量钢低速带条平均间距的缩短与湍流减阻密切联系。  相似文献

湍流/非湍流界面是流动中湍流和无旋流的边界,其相关研究在加深对湍流与无旋流之间的物质、动量和能量交换的理解有重要意义.本文采用时间解析的二维粒子图像测速技术,分别对零压梯度光滑、顺流向锯齿形沟槽表面平板在不同雷诺数下对湍流/非湍流界面的几何特征及动力学特性进行了实验研究.实验雷诺数为$Re_{\tau } =400\sim1000$.本文采用了湍动能准则对湍流/非湍流界面进行了识别,并分析界面高度分布、分形特征及界面附近的条件平均速度和涡量.结果表明在不同雷诺数下, 无论是光滑壁面还是沟槽壁面,界面平均高度在0.8 $\sim$ 0.9$\delta_{99} $附近. 对于沟槽壁面而言,减阻时对应的界面高度的概率密度分布与光滑壁面基本一致, 均遵循正态分布,而当阻力增大时, 界面高度分布偏离正态分布出现正的偏度. 在本实验情况下,界面分形维度、跨界面速度跳变均会随着雷诺数增大而增大. 此外,不同壁面情况下无量纲条件平均涡量在界面附近的分布相近,而界面附近无量纲速度梯度最大值近似为常数.   相似文献

采用高时间分辨率粒子图像测速技术对沟槽壁面平板湍流边界层速度矢量场的时间序列及其统计量进行了实验测量,讨论了在同一来流速度下沟槽壁面对平均速度剖面﹑雷诺切应力及湍流强度的影响. 用流向速度分量的多尺度空间局部平均结构函数辨识壁湍流多尺度相干结构,用条件采样和相位平均技术提取壁湍流多尺度相干结构喷射和扫掠事件的脉动速度、展向涡量的二维空间拓扑形态. 结果表明,与同材料光滑壁面对比,沟槽壁面实现了10.73%的摩阻减小量;沟槽壁面湍流边界层湍流强度及雷诺切应力皆比光滑平板湍流边界层对应统计量小,说明沟槽壁面有效降低了湍流边界层内流体的脉动. 通过比较壁湍流相干结构猝发事件各脉动速度分量与展向涡量的空间分布特征,肯定了沟槽壁面的减阻效果,发现沟槽壁面通过抑制相干结构猝发事件实现减阻.  相似文献

本文采用时间解析的二维粒子图像测速技术,对零压力梯度光滑以及汇聚和发散沟槽表面平板湍流边界层统计特性和流动结构进行了研究.结果表明在垂直于汇聚和发散沟槽表面的对称平面内,相对于光滑壁面,发散沟槽壁面使当地边界层厚度、壁面摩擦阻力、湍流脉动、雷诺应力等明显减小;而汇聚沟槽壁面对湍流边界层特性和流动结构的影响正好相反,汇聚沟槽使壁面流体有远离壁面向上运动的趋势,因而导致边界层厚度增加了约43%;同时,在汇聚沟槽表面情况下流向大尺度相干结构更容易形成,这对减阻是不利的.此外,顺向涡数量在湍流边界层的对数区均存在一个极大值,发散沟槽表面所对应的极大值位置更靠近沟槽壁面,而在汇聚沟槽表面则有远离壁面的趋势,由顺向涡诱导产生的较强的喷射和扫掠运动会在湍流边界层中产生较强的剪切作用,顺向涡数量的减少是发散沟槽壁面当地摩擦阻力降低的主要原因.  相似文献

本文采用粒子图像测速技术(particles image velocimetry, PIV)研究固体颗粒对放置在平板湍流边界层中的平壁和沟槽壁面减阻效果的影响. 实验对清水和加入粒径为155 μm聚苯乙烯颗粒的流法向二维速度场信息进行采集, 对不同工况下的平均速度剖面、雷诺应力和湍流度等统计量进行对比, 分析流体在边界层中的行为. 运用空间局部平均结构函数提取了不同工况湍流边界层喷射?扫掠行为的空间拓扑结构并进行比较. 结果发现, 在不同的壁面条件下, 粒子加入后的对数律区中无量纲速度均略大于清水组, 雷诺切应力有所降低, 湍流度有所减弱. 对于不同流场速度下的沟槽而言, 颗粒的加入均降低了壁面附近的阻力, 而颗粒单独作用于光滑壁面的减阻效果并不明显. 加入粒子后的相干结构数目有所增加, 法向脉动速度下降. 沟槽壁面附近的相干结构数目有所增加, 法向脉动速度在自由来流速度较大时有所上升, 在速度较小时有所下降. 这表明不同减阻状况下的沟槽均能将大涡破碎成更多的涡, 并且粒子的加入强化了这种破碎作用.   相似文献

纵向沟槽壁面的湍流边界层,当沟槽的脊-脊内尺度无量纲展向间距s+ 在一定范围内,与光滑壁面湍流边界层相比,具有减阻效应;并在s+ 约为17 个黏性长度单位时减阻效果达到最优,之后其减阻趋弱,直至增阻;其原因可能是沟槽壁面湍流边界层由于“开尔文-亥姆霍兹” 不稳定性而产生的一种“类开尔文-亥姆霍兹”展向涡结构. 实验采用烟雾流动显示技术,首次在风洞中显示了这种“类开尔文-亥姆霍兹” 展向涡结构,确认了其存在性,并在概念上简单勾勒了其结构模型.   相似文献

简述了在西北工业大学低湍流度风洞中,用热线风速仪测量翼型边界层及近场尾流中速度型、湍流强度、雷诺正应力及切应力等的简况;文中着重分析了极低湍流度下(0.02%)试验所得近场尾流中雷诺切应力的分布规律。结果表明,在尾流宽度方向及流动方向均有明显的规律性,且与常规风洞湍流度下结果相比,其有关特征值明显偏低。  相似文献

本文利用热膜测速技术对刚性壁面和柔性壁面湍流边界层的流向速度分量进行了实验测量,首先研究了柔性壁面对平均速度分布和湍流度分布的影响,结果表明:柔性壁面的边界层速度分布在对数律层向上有所平移,缓冲层加厚,具有一般的壁面减阻特征;而柔性壁的湍流度比刚性壁的湍流度要低,分布也更为平坦。然后综合运用自相关法和条件采样技术研究了湍流近壁区的相干结构,结果表明:刚性壁自相关曲线的第二峰值出现的时间比柔性壁的短,柔性壁的猝发频率比刚性壁的低许多。实验结果表明柔性壁面具有一定的减阻作用。  相似文献

This paper presents detailed turbulence measurements in a two-dimensional, transonic, double passage turbine cascade. Particle image velocimetry was used to obtain mean velocity and turbulence measurements all around a single turbine blade within about 2 mm of the blade and wall surfaces. The passage walls were designed using an optimization procedure so that the blade surface pressure distribution matches that of the blade in an infinite cascade. The resulting experimental model captures much of the complexity of a real turbine stage (including high streamline curvature, strong accelerations, and shocks) in a passage with a continuous wall shape, allowing for high measurement resolution and well controlled boundary conditions for comparison to CFD. The measurements show that in the inviscid regions of the passage the absolute level of the turbulent fluctuations does not change significantly as the flow accelerates, while the local turbulence intensity drops rapidly as the flow accelerates. These results provide a benchmark data set that can be used to improve turbulence models.  相似文献

A variant of the two-parameter turbulence model which makes it possible continuously to calculate a flow region with laminar, transition and turbulent regimes is proposed for investigating the flow under conditions of high freestream turbulence intensity. It is shown that the properties of the thermal transition can be theoretically described using the quasi-steady turbulence model in the case of periodic freestream velocity distribution. The numerical results are compared with theoretical and experimental data. The approach proposed is developed for determining the combined effect of the parameters of harmonic fluctuations of the external velocity and freestream turbulence on the heat transfer characteristics on a flat plate with different boundary conditions for the enthalpy.  相似文献

In this study, we have investigated the influence of shape of planar contractions on the orientation distribution of stiff fibers suspended in turbulent flow. To do this, we have employed a model for the orientational diffusion coefficient based on the data obtained by high-speed imaging of suspension flow at the centerline of a contraction with flat walls. This orientational diffusion coefficient depends only on the contraction ratio and turbulence intensity. Our measurements show that the turbulence intensity decays exponentially independent of the contraction angle. This implies that the turbulence variation in the contraction is independent of the shape, consistent with the results by the rapid distortion theory and the experimental results of axisymmetric contractions. In order to determine the orientation anisotropy, we have solved a Fokker–Planck type equation governing the orientation distribution of fibers in turbulent flow. Although the turbulence variation and the orientational diffusion are independent of the contraction shape, the results show that the variation of the orientation anisotropy is dependent on shape. This can be explained by the variation of the rotational Péclet number, Per, inside the contractions. This quantity is a measure of the importance of the mean rate of the strain relative to the orientational diffusion. We have shown that when Per < 10 turbulence can significantly influence the evolution of the orientation anisotropy. Since in contractions with identical inlet conditions the streamwise position where Per = 10 depends on the shape, the orientation anisotropy is dependent on the variation of rate of strain in a given contraction. We demonstrate the shape effect by considering contraction with flat walls as well as three contractions with different mean rate of strain variation.  相似文献

The effect of spatial resolution on streamwise velocity measurements with single hot-wires is targeted in the present study, where efforts have been made to distinguish between spatial resolution and Reynolds number effects. The basis for measurements to accurately determine the mean velocity and higher order moments is that the probability density distribution is measured correctly. It is well known that the turbulence intensity is increasingly attenuated with increasing wire length. Here, it is also shown (probably for the first time) that besides the probability density distribution and hence the higher order moments, even the mean velocity is affected, albeit to subtle extent, but with important consequences in studies of concurrent wall-bounded turbulence.  相似文献

Low-velocity gas flows past a flat plate are numerically simulated. The influence of gas micro-blowing from some part of the surface and its distribution on the local and integral friction coefficients is studied. It is demonstrated that the integral value of friction is almost independent of the distribution of blowing domains over the plate surface if the total blowing intensity stays unchanged. The calculated decrease in the friction drag is in both qualitative and quantitative agreement with experimental results.  相似文献

The velocity profile, turbulence intensity profile, streaky structure and bursting frequency in turbulent boundary layers over a flat plate with compliant coatings were investigated by Laser Doppler Anemometry and conditional sampling techniques. This experiment led to the conclusions that in boundary layer flows on a compliant wall, as compared with that on a rigid wall, the log law region was extended further away from the wall, and that the maximum value of each turbulence intensity profile in the near wall region was reduced and the bursting frequency obviously decreased with the compliant coatings. One point worthy of notice was that the above results were very much like those of polymer drag reduction experiments. The application of an impinging sweeping jet, which oscillates periodically with a large angle, to convective heat transfer has received attention owing to its capability to provide a more spatially uniform and enhanced heat removal rate when compared to a steady jet. Herein, we study how the surface curvature affects the heat transfer performance of a sweeping jet and couple it with the representative flow characteristics. Heat transfer measurement and quantitative flow visualization are conducted experimentally for concave and convex surfaces as well as a flat surface. Whereas concave surfaces have a better heat transfer rate than a flat surface, the enhancement of the heat transfer is relatively small for a convex surface. For both concave and convex surfaces, the Nusselt number does not increase monotonically with the curvature magnitude but has a peak for a moderate curvature. The variation in heat transfer performance with the surface curvature is correlated with the phase-averaged velocity profile of the wall jet deflected after an impingement and the turbulence kinetic energy inside the jet. For both concave and convex surfaces, the wall jet becomes thinner than a flat surface in general, which contributes to improved heat transfer. However, whereas the turbulence kinetic energy is significantly larger for a concave surface of a moderate curvature than that of a flat surface, the turbulence kinetic energy for a convex surface is reduced from that of a flat surface, resulting in degradation of the heat transfer performance.  相似文献

An experimental study was conducted to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of a bio-inspired corrugated airfoil compared with a smooth-surfaced airfoil and a flat plate at the chord Reynolds number of Re C  = 58,000–125,000 to explore the potential applications of such bio-inspired corrugated airfoils for micro air vehicle designs. In addition to measuring the aerodynamic lift and drag forces acting on the tested airfoils, a digital particle image velocimetry system was used to conduct detailed flowfield measurements to quantify the transient behavior of vortex and turbulent flow structures around the airfoils. The measurement result revealed clearly that the corrugated airfoil has better performance over the smooth-surfaced airfoil and the flat plate in providing higher lift and preventing large-scale flow separation and airfoil stall at low Reynolds numbers (Re C  < 100,000). While aerodynamic performance of the smooth-surfaced airfoil and the flat plate would vary considerably with the changing of the chord Reynolds numbers, the aerodynamic performance of the corrugated airfoil was found to be almost insensitive to the Reynolds numbers. The detailed flow field measurements were correlated with the aerodynamic force measurement data to elucidate underlying physics to improve our understanding about how and why the corrugation feature found in dragonfly wings holds aerodynamic advantages for low Reynolds number flight applications.  相似文献

 Temperature changes have a significant influence on the measurements of Reynolds stresses in turbulent boundary layers. As compared to the spanwise velocity fluctuations the streamwise turbulence intensity is especially sensitive to temperature deviations. Although this is a general statement its importance is clearly elucidated in a shear-free turbulence near a solid wall, since the mixing due to turbulence production is minimized in this flow. A consequence of temperature influence on hot-wire measurements is that frictional heating from the wall has produced contradictory results in different experiments on shear-free turbulence. In the current paper, measurements of streamwise and spanwise turbulence intensities have been conducted at different wall temperatures, thereby simulating the contradictory results mentioned above. A simple model has been developed showing that the turbulence intensities are affected by both the rms. value of the temperature fluctuations and the correlation between fluctuating temperature and velocity. These correlations are measured and the developed model is used to explain deviations in earlier measurements on shear-free turbulence. Moreover, the individual magnitudes of the two correlations in the temperature correction are estimated and their individual importance is discussed.
