In this paper, we study the existence and regularity of solutions to the Stokes and Oseen equations with nonhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions with low regularity. We consider boundary conditions for which the normal component is not equal to zero. We rewrite the Stokes and the Oseen equations in the form of a system of two equations. The first one is an evolution equation satisfied by Pu, the projection of the solution on the Stokes space – the space of divergence free vector fields with a normal trace equal to zero – and the second one is a quasi-stationary elliptic equation satisfied by (IP)u, the projection of the solution on the orthogonal complement of the Stokes space. We establish optimal regularity results for Pu and (IP)u. We also study the existence of weak solutions to the three-dimensional instationary Navier–Stokes equations for more regular data, but without any smallness assumption on the initial and boundary conditions.  相似文献

In this paper we prove unique solvability of the generalized Stokes resolvent equations in an infinite layer Ω0 = ℝn –1 × (–1, 1), n ≥ 2, in Lq ‐Sobolev spaces, 1 < q < ∞, with slip boundary condition of on the “upper boundary” ∂Ω+0 = ℝn –1 × {1} and non‐slip boundary condition on the “lower boundary” ∂Ω0 = ℝn –1 × {–1}. The solution operator to the Stokes system will be expressed with the aid of the solution operators of the Laplace resolvent equation and a Mikhlin multiplier operator acting on the boundary. The present result is the first step to establish an Lq ‐theory for the free boundary value problem studied by Beale [9] and Sylvester [22] in L 2‐spaces. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. In this paper, we propose a spectral method for the vorticity‐stream function form of the Navier–Stokes equations with slip boundary conditions. The numerical solutions fulfill the incompressibility and the physical boundary conditions automatically. The stability and convergence of the proposed methods are proven. Numeric results demonstrate the efficiency of suggested algorithm. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, we study the Stokes problem with some nonstandard boundary conditions. The variational formulation decouples into a system for the velocity and a Poisson equation for the pressure. The corresponding discrete system do not need an inf‐sup condition. Hence, the velocity is approximated with “ curl ” conforming finite elements and the pressure with standard continuous elements. Next, we establish optimal a priori and a posteriori estimates and we finally concluded with numerical tests. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq, 2012  相似文献

In this paper, we consider incompressible viscous fluid flows with slip boundary conditions. We first prove the existence of solutions of the unsteady Navier–Stokes equations in n‐spacial dimensions. Then, we investigate the stability, uniqueness and regularity of solutions in two and three spacial dimensions. In the compactness argument, we construct a special basis fulfilling the incompressibility exactly, which leads to an efficient and convergent spectral method. In particular, we avoid the main difficulty for ensuring the incompressibility of numerical solutions, which occurs in other numerical algorithms. We also derive the vorticity‐stream function form with exact boundary conditions, and establish some results on the existence, stability and uniqueness of its solutions. In this paper we consider the system of the non‐steady Navier–Stokes equations with mixed boundary conditions. We study the existence and uniqueness of a solution of this system. We define Banach spaces X and Y, respectively, to be the space of “possible” solutions of this problem and the space of its data. We define the operator and formulate our problem in terms of operator equations. Let and be the Fréchet derivative of at . We prove that is one‐to‐one and onto Y. Consequently, suppose that the system is solvable with some given data (the initial velocity and the right hand side). Then there exists a unique solution of this system for data which are small perturbations of the previous ones. The next result proved in the Appendix of this paper is W2, 2‐regularity of solutions of steady Stokes system with mixed boundary condition for sufficiently smooth data.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider low‐order stabilized finite element methods for the unsteady Stokes/Navier‐Stokes equations with friction boundary conditions. The time discretization is based on the Euler implicit scheme, and the spatial discretization is based on the low‐order element (P1P1 or P1P0) for the approximation of the velocity and pressure. Moreover, some error estimates for the numerical solution of fully discrete stabilized finite element scheme are obtained. Finally, numerical experiments are performed to confirm our theoretical results.  相似文献

By making full use of the estimates of solutions to nonstationary Stokes equations and the method discussing global stability, we establish the global existence theorem of strong solutions for Navier-Stokes equatios in arbitrary three dimensional domain with uniformlyC 3 boundary, under the assumption that |a| L 2(Θ) + |f| L 1(0,∞;L 2(Θ)) or |∇a| L 2(Θ) + |f| L 2(0,∞;L 2(Θ)) small or viscosityv large. Herea is a given initial velocity andf is the external force. This improves on the previous results. Moreover, the solvability of the case with nonhomogeneous boundary conditions is also discussed. The stationary and nonstationary rotating Navier-Stokes equations with mixed boundary conditions are investigated in this paper. The existence and uniqueness of the solutions are obtained by the Galerkin approximation method. Next, θ-scheme of operator splitting algorithm is applied to rotating Navier-Stokes equations and two subproblems are derived. Finally, the computational algorithms for these subproblems are provided.  相似文献

Two‐grid variational multiscale (VMS) algorithms for the incompressible Navier‐Stokes equations with friction boundary conditions are presented in this article. First, one‐grid VMS algorithm is used to solve this problem and some error estimates are derived. Then, two‐grid VMS algorithms are proposed and analyzed. The algorithms consist of nonlinear problem on coarse grid and linearized problem (Stokes problem or Oseen problem) on fine grid. Moreover, the stability and convergence of the present algorithms are established. Finally, Numerical results are shown to confirm the theoretical analysis. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We prove the existence of a weak solution to Navier–Stokes equations describing the isentropic flow of a gas in a convex and bounded region, ΩR2, with nonhomogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions on ∂Ω. These results are also extended to flow domain surrounding an obstacle.  相似文献

We use the singular sources method to detect the shape of the obstacle in a mixed boundary value problem. The basic idea of the method is based on the singular behavior of the scattered field of the incident point-sources on the boundary of the obstacle. Moreover we take advantage of the scattered field estimate by the backprojection operator. Also we give a uniqueness proof for the shape reconstruction.  相似文献

We establish the wellposedness of the time‐independent Navier–Stokes equations with threshold slip boundary conditions in bounded domains. The boundary condition is a generalization of Navier's slip condition and a restricted Coulomb‐type friction condition: for wall slip to occur the magnitude of the tangential traction must exceed a prescribed threshold, independent of the normal stress, and where slip occurs the tangential traction is equal to a prescribed, possibly nonlinear, function of the slip velocity. In addition, a Dirichlet condition is imposed on a component of the boundary if the domain is rotationally symmetric. We formulate the boundary‐value problem as a variational inequality and then use the Galerkin method and fixed point arguments to prove the existence of a weak solution under suitable regularity assumptions and restrictions on the size of the data. We also prove the uniqueness of the solution and its continuous dependence on the data. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

We propose and analyze a two‐level method of discretizing the nonlinear Navier‐Stokes equations with slip boundary condition. The slip boundary condition is appropriate for problems that involve free boundaries, flows past chemically reacting walls, and other examples where the usual no‐slip condition u = 0 is not valid. The two‐level algorithm consists of solving a small nonlinear system of equations on the coarse mesh and then using that solution to solve a larger linear system on the fine mesh. The two‐level method exploits the quadratic nonlinearity in the Navier‐Stokes equations. Our error estimates show that it has optimal order accuracy, provided that the best approximation to the true solution in the velocity and pressure spaces is bounded above by the data. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Solutions to nonlinear partial differential equations of fourth order are studied. Boundary regularity is proved for solutions that satisfy mixed boundary conditions. Various geometric situations including so called triple points are considered. Regularity is measured in Sobolev-Slobodeckii spaces and the results are sharp in this scale. The approach is based on the use of a first order difference quotient method.  相似文献

We investigate a finite element discretization of the Stokes equations with nonstandard boundary conditions, defined in a bounded three-dimensional domain with a curved, piecewise smooth boundary. For tetrahedral triangulations of this domain we prove, under general assumptions on the discrete problem and without any additional regularity assumptions on the weak solution, that the discrete solutions converge to the weak solution. Examples of appropriate finite element spaces are given.  相似文献

Existence theory is developed for the equation ?(u)=F(u), where ? is a formally self-adjoint singular second-order differential expression and F is nonlinear. The problem is treated in a Hilbert space and we do not require the operators induced by ? to have completely continuous resolvents. Nonlinear boundary conditions are allowed. Also, F is assumed to be weakly continuous and monotone at one point. Boundary behavior of functions associated with the domains of definitions of the operators associated with ? in the singular case is investigated. A special class of self-adjoint operators associated with ? is obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we deal with the mixed initial boundary value problem for complete second order (in time) linear differential equations in Banach spaces, in which time-derivatives occur in the boundary conditions. General wellposedness theorems are obtained (for the first time), which are used to solve the corresponding inhomogeneous problems. Examples of applications to initial boundary value problems for partial differential equations are also presented.  相似文献
