We report on a comparative crystal chemical study of the Tl2–xBa2Ca n Cu n+1O2n+6(n=0, 1, 2) high-T c superconductors. Superconducting properties were determined by DC-conductivity and-susceptibility measurements. An X-ray diffraction analysis reveals the nonstoichiometry of the compounds as a link between structural and superconducting behavior. A comparison of the different structures gives evidence that T1 deficiency in the TlO double layers increases with increasingn; this deficiency causes apparent Cu valences larger than 2+in the superconducting phases thus maintaining the charge balance. By extracting appropriate chemical formulas and performing a bond strength calculation we obtained the mixed-valent oxidation state of copper for the superconducting tetragonal phases as being 2.17+(n=0), 2.25+(n=1) and 2.31+(n=2) respectively; for the non-superconducting orthorhombic phase Tl2–xBa2CuO6–y a Cu valence of about 2+is suggested.  相似文献

Co substituted Bi2212 samples of Bi2.1Sr1.9Ca(Cu1−xCox)O8+δ (x = 0, 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, and Tc = 85,71,52,35 K) were prepared, and their electronic density states were characterized by a low temperature STM. The experimental results revealed that superconducting gap-like features were rapidly destroyed, while pseudogap-like features were enhanced with increasing impurities, suggesting that the origin of the pseudogap is different from that of a superconducting gap. We suggested a two phase-like model to explain the behavior of a gap map and a gap distribution function. On the other hand, spatial gap and pseudogap inhomogeneity persisted in all Co concentrations. This indicates that the origin of inhomogeneity is not related to in-plane disorder or impurities.  相似文献

采用固相反应法,将ZnO和Co2O3粉末按不同的成分配比混合,制备了稀磁半导体Zn1-xCoxO (x=0.02,0.06,0.10)材料.并使用H2气氛退火技术对样品进行了处理,得到了具有室温铁磁性的掺Co氧化锌稀磁半导体.利用全自动X射线衍射仪、X射线光电子能谱仪、高分辨透射电子显微镜和超导量子干涉器件磁强计对样品的结构、晶粒的尺寸、微观形貌以及磁性等进行了测量和标度. 关键词: 稀磁半导体 氧化锌 掺杂 固相反应法  相似文献

Here we report on the invention of the Co-doped induced superconductivity in PrFe1−xCoxAsO (x = 0 and 0.075). Polycrystalline samples were prepared by high-pressure synthesis method. The PrFe1−xCoxAsO (x = 0 and 0.075) crystallizes with the ZrCuSiAs type crystal structure (P4/nmm). The PrFeAsO is a parent compound with non-superconducting phase which can be transformed to superconductor by replacement 7.5% of Fe by Co. The magnetic susceptibility measurement shows the onset of superconducting transition temperature at 15 K.  相似文献

The Hall coefficient and resistivity were measured on a series of samples of PbxSn1−xTe with 0x0.45 and 5 at% of InTe as a dopant. All samples show p-type conductivity with hole concentration in the range from 1019 to 1021 cm−3 at 77 K. A slight decrease of Hall mobility and corresponding increase in the scattering cross-section of holes by impurity atoms was observed with an extremum at x=0.25. All samples exhibit a transition to a superconducting state with the critical temperatures ranging from 0.3 to 3.0 K. The maximum of dHc2/dT (where Hc2 is the second critical field) correlates with the fall in mobility (or rise in the scattering cross-section of holes), which shows that the resonance scattering mechanism is playing an important role in the enhancement of superconducting properties of these solid solution materials.  相似文献

We have investigated the superconducting properties of the Bi1.7 Pb0.3Sr2Ca2−xCe x Cu3O10+δ system with x=0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.08 and 0.1 by X-ray diffraction and magnetic susceptibility. The substitution of Ce for Ca has been found to drastically change the superconducting properties of the system. X-ray diffraction studies on these compounds indicate decrease in the c-parameter with increased substitution of Ce at Ca site and volume fraction of high T c (2 : 2 : 2 : 3) phase decreases and low T c phase increases. The magnetic susceptibility of this compound shows that the diamagnetic on set superconducting transition temperature (onset) varies from 109 K to 51 K for x=0.00, 0.02, 0.04, 0.08 and 0.1. These results suggest the possible existence of Ce in a tetravalent state rather than a trivalent state in this system; that is, Ca2+ → Ce4+ replacement changes the hole carrier concentration. Hole filling is the cause of lowering T c of the system.  相似文献

Key results of zero-field (ZF) and transverse-field (TF) muon-spin-relaxation (μSR) experiments on superconducting and insulating RBa2Cu3O y (R123 y , with R=Eu, Gd, Pr and Pr/Y:y=6, 7) are examined. The chemical behavior of the positive muon probe is addressed, and muon-oxygen bonding is shown to occur in all these cuprates. To explain magnetic fields at muon-probe sites in Pr x Y1−x Ba2Cu3O y (0<=x<0.5,y=7 andx=0,y=6) samples, improvements on the reported magnetic structures from neutron diffraction are necessary. Cu magnetism in Pr123y (y=6,7) is observed belowT N1, which is near RT. The magnetism seen belowT N2 can be interpreted assuming an additional ordering in the Cutt-O chain layers. Alternatively, Pr ordering is also considered as the cause of the second phase transition. Considering the specific muon-probe location, a more detailed interpretation can be provided for the μSR parameters, measured in the normal and mixed states of these unconventional superconductors.  相似文献

Measurements on amorphous Mo1?xSix (0.27 ≤ × ≤ 0.77) show that with increasing x the superconducting transition temperature, Tc, decreases linearly with x for x ≤ x0 ≡ 0.63 ± 0.05. The superconducting transition width and normal state resistivity increase rapidly with increasing x as x approaches x0. For x > x0, Tc drops below 1.5K. Transmission electron diffraction measurements (0.65 ≤ × ≤ 0.75) detect the presence of a second amorphous phase which resembles a-Si only for samples with x ? 0.75. The behavior near x0 could be attributed to the onset of an electronic transition involving the conversion of metallically bonded Si to covalently bonded Si.  相似文献

在Si (001)衬底上, 以高质量的弛豫Ge薄膜作为缓冲层, 先后生长Sn组分x分别为2.5%, 5.2%和7.8%的完全应变的三层Ge1-xSnx合金薄膜. 在Si (001)衬底上直接生长了x分别为0.005, 0.016, 0.044, 0.070和0.155的五个弛豫Ge1-xSnx样品. 通过卢瑟福背散射谱、高分辨X射线衍射和X射线倒易空间图等方法测量了Ge1-xSnx合金的组分 与晶格常数. 实验得到的晶格常数相对Vegard定律具有较大的正偏离, 弯曲系数b=0.211 Å.  相似文献

Solid solutions in the Tl2Ba2−xSrxCaCu2O8 system were prepared and characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, resistivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Systematic changes in Tc and lattice parameters with x are reported. A sample with nominal composition of Tl2Sr2CaCu2O8 (x=2.0) is superconducting with Tc≈44 K.  相似文献

Neutron powder diffraction has been used to study the defect structure of neodymium cerium cuprite Nd2−x CexCuOy (x=0.15). It has been shown that in addition to oxygen vacancies, O2 sites in superconducting samples may also contain a small quantity of implanted oxygen atoms positioned between copper ions and neodymium/cerium, which control the electrical charge in the Cu-O planes. The oxygen distribution among crystal lattice sites in Nd2−x CexCuOy (x=0.15) as determined, the average charge of the copper ions was calculated by the method of valence sums, and a correlation was established between the charge of the copper-oxygen plane and T c. X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, magnetization and Mossbauer studies of a57Fe probe, in CaLaBa(Cu1−x Fe x )3O z withz=7, 6.5 andx=0.00 to 0.05 have been performed. Forz=7,T c drops from 74 K forx=0.00 to 35 K forx=0.05. In CaLaBa(Cu1−x Fe x )3O z withz=7, 10% of the iron is magnetically ordered withH eff=530 K kOe andT N=400 K, even though the sample is superconducting. In the oxygen poor, non-superconducting samples (z=6.5) 20% of the iron is magnetically ordered withH eff=340 kOe andT N=340 K. Since the iron reflects the magnetic order of the Cu(2) ions, this may show that perhaps two inequivalent Cu(2) sites exist in CaLaBa(Cu1−x Fe x )3O7, ones of which is magnetically ordered. The experimental observations may be interpreted in terms of the special crystal structure which can allow superconductivity and magnetism to coexist, probably in separate Cu(2) planes.  相似文献

采用高频感应熔融、退火结合放电等离子烧结方法制备高锰硅(HMS)化合物MnSi1.70+x(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15),系统研究了Si含量变化对材料相组成、微结构和热电性能的影响规律.结果表明,当x0.1时,样品由HMS和贫Si的MnSi金属相两相组成,随着Si含量x的增加,MnSi相相对含量减小;当x=0.1时,所得样品为单相HMS化合物;当x0.1时,样品由HMS和过量Si两相组成.随着x的增加,由于样品中高电导的金属相MnSi含量逐渐减少,样品的电导率逐渐下降,而Seebeck系数随之增加.室温下样品载流子浓度和有效质量随x增大逐渐减小,而迁移率逐渐增加.MnSi和Si杂相与HMS相比均为高热导相,因此当x=0.1时,由于样品为单相HMS,从而表现出最低热导率和最高ZT值.MnSi1.80样品在800K时热导率最小值达到2.25W·m-1K-1,并在850K处获得最大ZT值(0.45).  相似文献

In order to investigate the electronic structure around oxygen in superconducting La2–x Sr x CuO4 (x=0.10 and 0.14), precise measurements were carried out on the paramagnetic Knight shifts in the spin rotation frequency of the negative muon bound to the oxygen with reference to antiferromagnetic La2–x Sr x CuO4 (x=0.05). Remarkable temperature as well as crystalline-axis dependence was observed for the highT c case with a divergence character towardsT c. The oxide system Bi2.2Ca2.8−x Sr x Cu2O y has been investigated for superconductivity as a function of Ca/Sr ratio withx=0.7, 1.0, 1.4 and 1.8. All these compositions are found to be superconducting with onset temperature in the range of 80–90 K implying a large homogeneity range between Sr and Ca for the superconductivity to occur in this system. Effect of partial replacement of Bi by rare earths has been studied and it is observed that 20% replacement of Bi by Nd and Eu does not significantly affect the superconducting transition temperature.  相似文献

The positive muon spin relaxation method is applied to probe magnetic ordering in the superconducting phase of a high quality single crystal of La2−xSrxCuO4−σ (0.11≤x≤0.14). The well characterized crystal ofx=0.11 (T c=34.5 K) with nearly complete flux exclusion exhibits spin freezing at 8K(T f) with significant spin fluctuation up to 20 K. The onset of spin fluctuation andT f decrease against increasingx towardsx=0.15, suggesting an existence of a magnetic phase boundary aroundx whereT c becomes maximum.  相似文献
