ON THE SHARING VALUES OF ALGEBROID FUNCTIONS AND THEIR DERIVATIVES

In this paper,we define the shared value of an algebroid function and its derivative on its Riemann surface.By considering the relationship between the shared values and the branch points of algebroid functions and their derivatives,we obtain some uniqueness theorems of algebroid functions sharing values with their derivatives,which extend 3 IM shared values theorem of nonconstant meromorphic functions and their derivatives obtained by Mues-Steinmetz and Gundersen.

In this paper, we investigate the value distribution of an algebroid function and its derivative, and obtain two inequations between Nevanlinna characteristic function of an algebroid function and that of its derivative. We extend Chuang Chitai's theorem of meromorphic functions to algebroid functions.     

On a theta function identity

Liu [An extension of the quintuple product identity and its applications. Pacific J Math. 2010;246:345–390] established a theta function identity. In this paper, we will give an equivalent form of Liu's identity, from which some non-trivial identities on circular summation of theta functions are deduced.     

Assessing the reliability of a nanocomponent using nanocrack growth

In nanoscience and nanotechnology, much attention has been given to the dual problem of designing nanocomponents with novel physical properties and how such nanocomponents can be fabricated. Receiving less attention has been the question of the nanocomponent's reliability; how does a nanocomponent fail and how long does a nanocomponent survive under typical operating conditions? High reliability is necessary to guarantee the advancement and utilization of nanocomponents due to the fact that they account for a high proportion of costs of newly designed nanosystems as well as multiscale systems. A nanocomponent is a component that is made of atoms, and its reliability is determined by these atoms. There are situations where it is hard or impossible to extract information from a nanocomponent about its relationship to its atoms. In this article, we assess the nanocomponent's reliability by using its physical properties. Specifically, it is known that nanocrack growth involves considerable statistical variability and such variability should be accounted for assessing growth. In this paper, we first provide a stochastic nanocrack growth model and then evaluate the reliability of a nanocomponent based on this model. Various properties of this model are obtained. We also evaluate the reliability of a nanocomponent under different assumptions on our proposed growth model. This paper is a modification of the extensive literature on modeling fatigue cracks in materials on a larger scale, applied to nanoscale where growth is not a function of cumulative stress on the component but related to the time to first exceedance of a threshold. The growth of algebroidal function

In this paper, we investigate the growth relationship of algebroidal function and its coefficients, and then obtain a basic inequation between the maximum modulus function and Nevanlinna characteristic function. Finally, by using the inequation, we testify the order of entire algebroidal function is equal to that of its derived function.     

A new proof of the integrability of the subdifferential of a convex function on a Banach space

We provide a simple proof of the Moreau-Rockafellar theorem that a proper lower semicontinuous convex function on a Banach space is determined up to a constant by its subdifferential.

     

Approaches to Effective Semi-Continuity of Real Functions

For semi-continuous real functions we study different computability concepts defined via computability of epigraphs and hypographs. We call a real function f lower semi-computable of type one, if its open hypograph hypo(f) is recursively enumerably open in dom(f) × ?; we call f lower semi-computable of type two, if its closed epigraph Epi(f) is recursively enumerably closed in dom(f) × ?; we call f lower semi-computable of type three, if Epi(f) is recursively closed in dom(f) × ?. We show that type one and type two semi-computability are independent and that type three semi-computability plus effectively uniform continuity implies computability, which is false for type one and type two instead of type three. We show also that the integral of a type three semi-computable real function on a computable interval is not necessarily computable.

Relations between the convexity of a set and the differentiability of its support function

It is known that, in finite dimensions, the support function of a compact convex set with nonempty interior is differentiable excepting the origin if and only if the set is strictly convex. In this paper, we realize a thorough study of the relations between the differentiability of the support function on the interior of its domain and the convexity of the set, mainly for unbounded sets. Then, we revisit some results related to the differentiability of the cost function associated to a production function.     

绿色食品需求函数的一种求解方法

本分析了影响绿色食品消费的因素，建立了消费消费绿色食品及同类一般食品的效用最大化数学规划模型，给出了Kuhn-Tucker条件；引入了绿色食品置信度参数并建立了一个可计算的二次效用函数，导出了该二次效用函数对应的需求函数，并详细地表述了求解过程和方法，讨论了绿色食品需求函数的性质。     

Koch曲线及其分数阶微积分

给出了Koch曲线的一个复值表达式,并且估计了该表达式的分数阶微积分的分形维数,同时给出了此表达式的Weyl-Marchaud分数阶导数的图像.进一步讨论了Koch曲线的图像与某类自仿分形函数图像的联系.最后证明了这类自仿分形函数的分形维数与其分数阶微积分的分形维数成立着线性关系,一个特殊例子的图像和数值结果在文中给出.     

A Carleman Function and the Cauchy Problem for the Laplace Equation

We suggest an explicit formula for reconstruction of a harmonic function in a domain from its values and the values of its normal derivative on part of the boundary; i.e., we give an explicit continuation formula and a regularization procedure for a solution to the Cauchy problem for the Laplace equation.

Variation and Minkowski dimension of fractal interpolation surface

The fractal interpolation surface on the rectangular domain is discussed in this paper. We study the properties of the oscillation and the variation of bivariate continuous functions. Then we discuss the special properties of bivariate fractal interpolation function, and estimate the value of its variation. Using the relation between the Minkowski dimension of the graph of continuous function and its variation, we obtain the exact value of the Minkowski dimension of the fractal interpolation surface.
