Stability of the electrolyte toward reduced oxygen species generated at the cathode is a crucial challenge for the rechargeable nonaqueous Li-O(2) battery. Here, we investigate dimethylformamide as the basis of an electrolyte. Although reactions at the O(2) cathode on the first discharge-charge cycle are dominated by reversible Li(2)O(2) formation/decomposition, there is also electrolyte decomposition, which increases on cycling. The products of decomposition at the cathode on discharge are Li(2)O(2), Li(2)CO(3), HCO(2)Li, CH(3)CO(2)Li, NO, H(2)O, and CO(2). Li(2)CO(3) accumulates in the electrode with cycling. The stability of dimethylformamide toward reduced oxygen species is insufficient for its use in the rechargeable nonaqueous Li-O(2) battery.  相似文献

Reductive decomposition mechanisms for ethylene carbonate (EC) molecule in electrolyte solutions for lithium-ion batteries are comprehensively investigated using density functional theory. In gas phase the reduction of EC is thermodynamically forbidden, whereas in bulk solvent it is likely to undergo one- as well as two-electron reduction processes. The presence of Li cation considerably stabilizes the EC reduction intermediates. The adiabatic electron affinities of the supermolecule Li(+)(EC)n (n = 1-4) successively decrease with the number of EC molecules, independently of EC or Li(+) being reduced. Regarding the reductive decomposition mechanism, Li(+)(EC)n is initially reduced to an ion-pair intermediate that will undergo homolytic C-O bond cleavage via an approximately 11.0 kcal/mol barrier, bringing up a radical anion coordinated with Li(+). Among the possible termination pathways of the radical anion, thermodynamically the most favorable is the formation of lithium butylene dicarbonate, (CH2CH2OCO2Li)2, followed by the formation of one O-Li bond compound containing an ester group, LiO(CH2)2CO2(CH2)2OCO2Li, then two very competitive reactions of the further reduction of the radical anion and the formation of lithium ethylene dicarbonate, (CH2OCO2Li)2, and the least favorable is the formation of a C-Li bond compound (Li carbides), Li(CH2)2OCO2Li. The products show a weak EC concentration dependence as has also been revealed for the reactions of LiCO3(-) with Li(+)(EC)n; that is, the formation of Li2CO3 is slightly more favorable at low EC concentrations, whereas (CH2OCO2Li)2 is favored at high EC concentrations. On the basis of the results presented here, in line with some experimental findings, we find that a two-electron reduction process indeed takes place by a stepwise path. Regarding the composition of the surface films resulting from solvent reduction, for which experiments usually indicate that (CH2OCO2Li)2 is a dominant component, we conclude that they comprise two leading lithium alkyl bicarbonates, (CH2CH2OCO2Li)2 and (CH2OCO2Li)2, together with LiO(CH2)2CO2(CH2)2OCO2Li, Li(CH2)2OCO2Li and Li2CO3.  相似文献

The O-H...O interaction formed by the anions HCO(3)(-) and CO(3)(2-) has been investigated on the basis of data retrieved from the Inorganic Crystal Structure Database (ICSD) and by means of ab initio computations. It has been shown that the O-H...O separations associated with HCO(3)(-)...(3)(2-) interactions are shorter than those found in crystals containing hydrogen carbonate monoanions such as HCO(3)(-)...HCO(3)(-). Ab initio MP2/6-311G++(2d,2p) computations on the crystal Na(3)(HCO(3))(CO(3)).2H(2)O have shown that the interaction between the monoanion donor and the dianion acceptor, for example HCO(3)(-)...CO(3)(2-), is more repulsive than that between singly charged ions, for example HCO(3)(-)...HCO(3)(-), but is largely overcompensated for by anion-cation electrostatic attractions. The shortening of the (-)O-H...O(2-) interaction relative to the (-)O-H...O(-) interaction has been explained as a consequence of the increased charge compression, that is of the stronger cation-anion interactions established by the CO(3)(2-) dianions with respect to those established by monoanions, and does not reflect an increase in the strength of the (-)O-H ...O(-) interaction. To expand the structural sample in the crystal packing analysis, the structure of the novel mixed salt K(2)Na(HCO(3))(CO(3)).2H(2)O has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and compared with the structure of the salt Na(3)(HCO(3))(CO(3)).2H(2)O used in the computations.  相似文献

Case studies of ten reactions using a variety of standard electronic structure methods are presented. These case studies are used to illustrate the usefulness and shortcomings of these standard methods for various classes of reactions. Limited comparisons with experiment are made. The reactions studied include four radical-radical combinations, H + CH(3)--> CH(4), CH(3) + CH(3)--> C(2)H(6), H + HCO --> H(2)CO and CH(3) + HCO --> CH(3)CHO, three abstraction reactions, H + HO(2)--> H(2) + O(2), H + HCO --> H(2) + CO and CH(3) + HCO --> CH(4) + CO, a radical-molecule addition, H + HCCH --> C(2)H(3), and two molecular decompositions, H(2)CO --> H(2) + CO and CH(3)CHO --> CH(4) + CO. The electronic structure methods used are DFT, MP2, CCSD(T), QCISD(T), CASSCF, CASPT2, and CAS+1+2+QC.  相似文献

Three polynuclear thorium(IV) molecular complexes have been synthesized under ambient conditions from reactions of an amorphous Th precipitate, obtained via hydrolysis, with carboxylate functionalized ligands. The structures of Th(6)(OH)(4)O(4)(H(2)O)(6)(HCO(2))(12)·nH(2)O (1), Th(6)(OH)(4)O(4)(H(2)O)(6)(CH(3)CO(2))(12)·nH(2)O (2), Th(6)(OH)(4)O(4)(H(2)O)(6)(ClCH(2)CO(2))(12)·4H(2)O (3) each consist of a hexanuclear Th core wherein six 9-coordinate Th(IV) cations are bridged by four μ(3)-hydroxo and four μ(3)-oxo groups. Each Th(IV) center is additionally coordinated to one bound "apical" water molecule and four oxygen atoms from bridging carboxylate functionalized organic acid units. "Decoration" of the cationic [Th(6)(μ(3)-O)(4)(μ(3)-OH)(4)](12+) cores by anionic shells of R-COO(-) ligands (R = H, CH(3), or CH(2)Cl) terminates the oligomers and results in the formation of discrete, neutral molecular clusters. Electronic structure calculations at the density functional theory level predicted that the most energetically favorable positions for the protons on the hexanuclear core result in the cluster with the highest symmetry with the protons separated as much as possible. The synthesis, structure, and characterization of the materials are reported.  相似文献

Reaction of racemic cis-Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)(OAc)(2)(HOAc)(2) with excess Me(3)OBF(4) in CH(3)CN results in the formation of racemic cis-[Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)(CH(3)CN)(6)](BF(4))(2).0.5H(2)O (1.0.5H(2)O), an ionic dirhodium complex which has two cisoid nonlabile orthometalated phosphine bridging anions and six labile CH(3)CN ligands in equatorial and axial positions. Reactions of 1 with tetraethylammonium salts of the linear dicarboxylates, oxalate, terephthalate, and 4,4'-biphenyl-dicarboxylate, in organic solvents, produced racemic crystals of the triangular compounds [Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)](3)(C(2)O(4))(3)(py)(6).6MeOH.H(2)O (2.6MeOH.H(2)O), [Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)](3)(O(2)CC(6)H(4)CO(2))(3)(DMF)(6).6.5DMF.0.5H(2)O (3.6.5DMF.0.5H(2)O), and [Rh(2)(C(6)H(4)PPh(2))(2)](3)(O(2)CC(6)H(4)C(6)H(4)CO(2))(3)(py)(6).4.5CH(3)OH.0.75H(2)O (4.4.5CH(3)OH.0.75H(2)O), respectively. All compounds are electrochemically active. The relative chiralities of the dirhodium units in each triangle have been established using a combination of data from X-ray crystallography and (31)P NMR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Hydrolysis of dibenzyltin dichloride in ethanol has been found to give an unprecedented carbonate anion (CO(3) (2-))-bridged double-ladder organooxotin cluster, [(R(2)SnO)(3)(R(2)SnOH)(2)(CO(3))](2) (1, R = C(6)H(5)CH(2)), with five tin atoms in each ladder. With the aim of obtaining organooxotin clusters with large cavities suitable for host-guest chemistry, we used 1,1'-ferrocenedicarboxylic acid (H(2)L(a)) and hexanedioic acid (H(2)L(b)) to replace the carbonate anions (CO(3) (2-)), and thereby clusters [(R(2)SnO)(3)(R(2)SnOH)(2)L(a)](2) (2) and [(R(2)SnO)(3)(R(2)SnOH)(2)L(b)](2) (3) were obtained. When 1 was treated with benzoic acid (HL(c)) in different stoichiometric ratios (1:4, 1:10), ladder cluster (R(2)SnO)(3)(R(2)SnOH)(2)(L(c))(2) (4) and drum cluster [RSn(O)L(c)](6) (5) were obtained. Through the hydrolysis of Cy(2)SnCl(2) (Cy = C(6)H(11)) and (C(6)H(5)CH(2))(2)SnCl(2), two interesting ethanolate-modified clusters [Cy(2)(C(2)H(5)O)SnOSn(C(2)H(5)O)Cy(2)](2) (6) and [(R(2)SnO)(3)(R(2)SnOH)(R(2)SnOC(2)H(5))(CO(3))](2) (7) were obtained. All the tin atoms in these ladder clusters are five-coordinate surrounded by two alkyl groups and three O atoms, and have distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environments with two carbon atoms and one O atom in the equatorial positions and two O atoms in the axial positions. The structures of all these compounds have been established by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses.  相似文献

Reactions of hydride complexes of ruthenium(II) with hydride acceptors have been examined for Ru(terpy)(bpy)H(+), Ru(terpy)(dmb)H(+), and Ru(η(6)-C(6)Me(6))(bpy)(H)(+) in aqueous media at 25 °C (terpy = 2,2';6',2'-terpyridine, bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, dmb = 4,4'-dimethyl-2,2'-bipyridine). The acceptors include CO(2), CO, CH(2)O, and H(3)O(+). CO reacts with Ru(terpy)(dmb)H(+) with a rate constant of 1.2 (0.2) × 10(1) M(-1) s(-1), but for Ru(η(6)-C(6)Me(6))(bpy)(H)(+), the reaction was very slow, k ≤ 0.1 M(-1) s(-1). Ru(terpy)(bpy)H(+) and Ru(η(6)-C(6)Me(6))(bpy)(H)(+) react with CH(2)O with rate constants of (6 ± 4) × 10(6) and 1.1 × 10(3) M(-1) s(-1), respectively. The reaction of Ru(η(6)-C(6)Me(6))(bpy)(H)(+) with acid exhibits straightforward, second-order kinetics, with the rate proportional to [Ru(η(6)-C(6)Me(6))(bpy)(H)(+)] and [H(3)O(+)] and k = 2.2 × 10(1) M(-1) s(-1) (μ = 0.1 M, Na(2)SO(4) medium). However, for the case of Ru(terpy)(bpy)H(+), the protonation step is very rapid, and only the formation of the product Ru(terpy)(bpy)(H(2)O)(2+) (presumably via a dihydrogen or dihydride complex) is observed with a k(obs) of ca. 4 s(-1). The hydricities of HCO(2)(-), HCO(-), and H(3)CO(-) in water are estimated as +1.48, -0.76, and +1.57 eV/molecule (+34, -17.5, +36 kcal/mol), respectively. Theoretical studies of the reactions with CO(2) reveal a "product-like" transition state with short C-H and long M-H distances. (Reactant) Ru-H stretched 0.68 ?; (product) C-H stretched only 0.04 ?. The role of water solvent was explored by including one, two, or three water molecules in the calculation.  相似文献

Treatment of IrCl(3)x H(2)O with one equivalent of 4,4'-di-tert-butyl-2,2'-bipyridyl (dtbpy) in N,N-dimethylformamide (dmf) afforded [IrCl(3)(dmf)(dtbpy)] (1). Alkylation of 1 with Me(3)SiCH(2)MgCl resulted in C--Si cleavage of the Me(3)SiCH(2) group and formation of the Ir(III) silyl dialkyl compound [Ir(CH(2)SiMe(3))(dtbpy)(Me)(SiMe(3))] (2), which reacted with tBuNC to afford [Ir(tBuNC)(CH(2)SiMe(3))(dtbpy)(Me)(SiMe(3))] ([2(tBuNC)]). Reaction of 2 with phenylacetylene afforded dimeric [{Ir(C[triple chemical bond]CPh)(dtbpy)(SiMe(3))}(2)(mu-C[triple chemical bond]CPh)(2)] (3), in which the bridging PhC[triple chemical bond]C(-) ligands are bound to Ir in a mu-sigma:pi fashion. Alkylation of 1 with PhMe(2)CCH(2)MgCl afforded the cyclometalated compound [Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)C(6)H(4))(2-C(6)H(4)CMe(3))] (4), which features an agostic interaction between the Ir center and the 2-tert-butylphenyl ligand. The cyclic voltammogram of 4 in CH(2)Cl(2) shows a reversible Ir(IV)-Ir(III) couple at about 0.02 V versus ferrocenium/ferrocene. Oxidation of 4 in CH(2)Cl(2) with silver triflate afforded an Ir(IV) species that exhibits an anisotropic electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) signal in CH(2)Cl(2) glass at 4 K with g( parallel)=2.430 and g( perpendicular)=2.110. Protonation of 4 with HCl and p-toluenesulfonic acid (HOTs) afforded [{Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)Ph)Cl}(2)(mu-Cl)(2)] (5) and [Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)Ph)(OTs)(2)] (6), respectively. Reaction of 5 with Li[BEt(3)H] gave the cyclometalated complex [{Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)C(6)H(4))}(2)(mu-Cl)(2)] (7). Reaction of 4 with tetracyanoethylene in refluxing toluene resulted in electrophilic substitution of the iridacycle by C(2)(CN)(3) with formation of [Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)C(6)H(3){4-C(2)(CN)(3)})(2-C(6)H(4)CMe(3))] (8). Reaction of 4 with diethyl maleate in refluxing toluene gave the iridafuran compound [Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)C(6)H(4)){kappa(2)(C,O)-C(CO(2)Et)CH(CO(2)Et)}] (9). Treatment of 9 with 2,6-dimethylphenyl isocyanide (xylNC) led to cleavage of the iridafuran ring and formation of [Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)C(6)H(4)){C(CO(2)Et)CH(CO(2)Et)}(xylNC)] (10). Protonation of 9 with HBF(4) afforded the dinuclear neophyl complex [(Ir(dtbpy)(CH(2)CMe(2)Ph){kappa(2)(C,O)-C(CO(2)Et)CH(CO(2)Et)})(2)][BF(4)](2) (11). The solid-state structures of complexes 2-5 and 8-11 have been determined.  相似文献

The syntheses and X-ray structures of [Co(Me-tpa)O(2)COZnCl(3)], [Co(pmea)O(2)COZnCl(3)].H(2)O [Co(trpyn)O(2)COZn(OH(2))(4)OCO(2)Co(trpyn)](ZnCl(4))(2).H(2)O, [Co(trpyn)(O(2)COH)]ZnCl(4).3H(2)O and [Co(trpyn)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4) are reported (Me-tpa = [(6-methyl-2-pyridyl)methyl]bis(2-pyridylmethyl)amine, pmea = bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-2-(2-pyridylethyl)amine, trpyn = tris(2-(1-pyrazolyl)ethyl)amine). The chelated bicarbonate complex [Co(trpyn)(O(2)COH)]ZnCl(4).3H(2)O is isolated as a crystalline solid from an acidic solution of the parent carbonate [Co(trpyn)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4), and X-ray structural analysis shows that lengthening of the C[double bond, length as m-dash]O(exo) bond and shortening of the C-O(endo) bond accompanies protonation. The bimetallic complex [Co(Me-tpa)O(2)COZnCl(3)] results from the unexpected coordination of ZnCl(3)(-) to the exo O atom of a chelated carbonate ligand. This complex is obtained from both acidic and neutral solutions in which [Zn(2+)] = 1.0 M, while the structurally similar complex [Co(pmea)O(2)COZnCl(3)].H(2)O is isolated from an analogous neutral solution. The trimetallic complex [Co(trpyn)O(2)COZn(OH(2))(4)OCO(2)Co(trpyn)](ZnCl(4))(2).H(2)O crystallises on prolonged standing of [Co(trpyn)(O(2)CO)]ClO(4) in a neutral solution having [Zn(2+)] = 1.0 M. The Zn-O bond lengths in all three complexes are indicative of bonds of significant strength. DFT calculations show that the nature of the bonding interaction between the Co(iii) ion and the endo O atoms of the carbonate ligand remain essentially unaffected by coordination of Zn(2+) to the exo O atom. They also show that such coordination of Zn(2+) decreases the C-O(exo) bond order.  相似文献

Lithium ethylene dicarbonate ((CH2OCO2Li)2) was chemically synthesized and its Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrum was obtained and compared with that of surface films formed on Ni after cyclic voltammetry (CV) in 1.2 M lithium hexafluorophosphate (LiPF6)/ethylene carbonate (EC):ethyl methyl carbonate (EMC) (3:7, w/w) electrolyte and on metallic lithium cleaved in-situ in the same electrolyte. By comparison of IR experimental spectra with that of the synthesized compound, we established that the title compound is the predominant surface species in both instances. Detailed analysis of the IR spectrum utilizing quantum chemical (Hartree-Fock) calculations indicates that intermolecular association through O...Li...O interactions is very important in this compound. It is likely that the title compound in the passivation layer has a highly associated structure, but the exact intermolecular conformation could not be established on the basis of analysis of the IR spectrum.  相似文献

Two molecules of C(2)(CO(2)Me)(2) or isocyanides could be added to the title hydride complex under mild conditions to give dienyl-[W(2)Cp(2){μ-η(1),κ:η(2)-C(CO(2)Me)=C(CO(2)Me)C(CO(2)Me)=CH(CO(2)Me)}(μ-PCy(2))(CO)(2)] (Cp = η(5)-C(5)H(5)), diazadienyl-[W(2)Cp(2){μ-κ,η:κ,η-C{CHN(4-MeO-C(6)H(4))}N(4-MeO-C(6)H(4))}(μ-PCy(2))(CO)(2)] or aminocarbyne-bridged derivatives [W(2)Cp(2){μ-CNH(2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))}(μ-PCy(2)){CN(2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))}(CO)]. In contrast, its reaction with excess (4-Me-C(6)H(4))C(O)H gave the C-O bond cleavage products [W(2)Cp(2){CH(2)(4-Me-C(6)H(4))}(O)(μ-PCy(2))(CO)(2)] and [W(2)Cp(2){μ-η:η,κ-C(O)CH(2)(4-Me-C(6)H(4))}(O)(μ-PCy(2))(CO)].  相似文献

Treatment of the bmnpa (N,N-bis-2-(methylthio)ethyl-N-((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)amine) ligand with equimolar amounts of Cd(ClO(4))(2).5H(2)O and Me(4)NOH.5H(2)O in CH(3)CN yielded the binuclear cadmium hydroxide complex [((bmnpa)Cd)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN (1). Complex 1 may also be prepared (a) by treatment of a CH(3)CN solution of (bmnpa)Cd(ClO(4))(2) (2) with 1 equiv of n-BuLi, followed by treatment with water or (b) from 2 in the presence of 1 equiv each of water and NEt(3). The hydroxide derivative 1 is not produced from 2 and water in the absence of an added base. Complex 1 possesses a binuclear structure in the solid state with hydrogen-bonding and CH/pi interactions involving the bmnpa ligand. The overall structural features of 1 differ from the halide derivative [((bmnpa)Cd)(2)(mu-Cl)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (3), particularly in that the Cd(2)(mu-OH)(2) core of 1 is symmetric whereas the Cd(2)(mu-Cl)(2) core of 3 is asymmetric. In acetonitrile solution, 1 behaves as a 1:2 electrolyte and retains a binuclear structure and secondary hydrogen-bonding and CH/pi interactions, whereas 3 is a 1:1 electrolyte, indicating formation of a mononuclear [(bmnpa)CdCl]ClO(4) species in solution. Treatment of 1 with CO(2) in anhydrous CH(3)CN yields the bridging carbonate complex [((bmnpa)Cd)(2)(mu-CO(3))](ClO(4))(2).CH(3)CN (4). Treatment of a chemically similar zinc hydroxide complex, [((benpa)Zn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (benpa = N,N-bis-2-(ethylthio)ethyl-N-((6-neopentylamino-2-pyridyl)methyl)amine, with CO(2) also results in the formation of a carbonate derivative, [((benpa)Zn)(2)(mu-CO(3))](ClO(4))(2) (5), albeit the coordination mode of the bridging carbonate moiety is different. Treatment of 4 with added water results in no reaction, whereas 5 under identical conditions will undergo reaction to yield the zinc hydroxide complex [((benpa)Zn)(2)(mu-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2).  相似文献

A series of new titanium(IV) complexes with symmetric or asymmetric cis-9,10-dihydrophenanthrenediamide ligands, cis-9,10-PhenH(2)(NR)(2)Ti(O(i)Pr)(2) [PhenH(2) = 9,10-dihydrophenanthrene, R = 2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3) (2a), 2,6-Et(2)C(6)H(3) (2b), 2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3) (2c)], cis-9,10-PhenH(2)(NR(1))(NR(2))Ti(O(i)Pr)(2) [R(1) = 2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3), R(2) = 2,6-Et(2)C(6)H(3) (2d); R(1) = 2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3), R(2) = 2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3) (2e)], and [cis-9,10-PhenH(2)(NR(1))(2)][o-C(6)H(4)(CH=NR(2))]TiO(i)Pr [R(1) = 2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3), R(2) = 2,6-Et(2)C(6)H(3) (3a); R(1) = 2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3), 2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3) (3b)], have been synthesized from the reactions of TiCl(2)(O(i)Pr)(2) with o-C(6)H(4)(CH=NR)Li [R = 2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3), 2,6-Et(2)C(6)H(3), 2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3)]. The symmetric complexes 2a-2c were obtained from the reactions of TiCl(2)(O(i)Pr)(2) with 2 equiv of the corresponding o-C(6)H(4)(CH=NR)Li followed by intramolecular C-C bond-forming reductive elimination and oxidative coupling processes, while the asymmetric complexes 2d-2e were formed from the reaction of TiCl(2)(O(i)Pr)(2) with two different types of o-C(6)H(4)(CH=NR)Li sequentially. The complexes 3a and 3b were also isolated from the reactions for complexes 2d and 2e. All complexes were characterized by (1)H and (13)C NMR spectroscopy, and the molecular structures of 2a, 2b, 2e, and 3a were determined by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

We investigated the dynamics of isomerization and multi-channel dissociation of propenal (CH(2)CHCHO), methyl ketene (CH(3)CHCO), hydroxyl propadiene (CH(2)CH(2)CHOH), and hydroxyl cyclopropene (cyclic-C(3)H(3)-OH) in the ground potential-energy surface using quantum-chemical calculations. Optimized structures and vibrational frequencies of molecular species were computed with method B3LYP∕6-311G(d,p). Total energies of molecules at optimized structures were computed at the CCSD(T)∕6-311+G(3df,2p) level of theory. We established the potential-energy surface for decomposition to CH(2)CHCO + H, CH(2)CH + HCO, CH(2)CH(2)∕CH(3)CH + CO, CHCH∕CH(2)C + H(2)CO, CHCCHO∕CH(2)CCO + H(2), CHCH + CO + H(2), CH(3) + HCCO, CH(2)CCH + OH, and CH(2)CC∕cyclic-C(3)H(2) + H(2)O. Microcanonical rate coefficients of various reactions of trans-propenal with internal energies 148 and 182 kcal mol(-1) were calculated using Rice-Ramsperger-Kassel-Marcus and Variational transition state theories. Product branching ratios were derivable using numerical integration of kinetic master equations and the steady-state approximation. The concerted three-body dissociation of trans-propenal to fragments C(2)H(2) + CO + H(2) is the prevailing channel in present calculations. In contrast, C(3)H(3)O + H, C(2)H(3) + HCO and C(2)H(4) + CO were identified as major channels in the photolysis of trans-propenal. The discrepancy between calculations and experiments in product branching ratios indicates that the three major photodissociation channels occur mainly on an excited potential-energy surface whereas the other channels occur mainly on the ground potential-energy surface. This work provides profound insight in the mechanisms of isomerization and multichannel dissociation of the system C(3)H(4)O.  相似文献

Three cobalt(III) complexes of the macrocyclic tetraamine [3(5)]adamanzane (1,5,9,13-tetraazabicyclo[7.7.3]nonadecane) were isolated as salts. The X-ray crystal structures were solved for the compounds [Co([3(5)]adz)(CO(3))]AsF(6) (1b), [Co([3(5)]adz)(HCO(3))]ZnBr(4).H(2)O (2a), and [Co([3(5)]adz)(SO(4))]AsF(6).H(2)O (3a). The coordination geometry around the cobalt(III) ion is a distorted octahedron with the inorganic ligands at cis-positions. Complex 2 is the second example of a cobalt(III) complex for which the X-ray structure shows a chelate binding mode of the hydrogen carbonate entity. The pK(a) value of the [Co([3(5)]adz)(HCO(3))](2+) ion (2) was determined spectrophotometrically to be 0.27 (25 degrees C, I = 5.0 M). The protonation appears to occur at the noncoordinated carbonyl oxygen atom of the carbonate group, with hydrogen bonding to the crystal water molecule. Evidence is presented for this oxygen atom as the site of protonation in solution as well. In 5.0 M CF(3)SO(3)H a slow reaction of the carbonato complex, quantitatively yielding the [Co([3(5)]adz)(H(2)O)(2)](3+) ion, was observed. k(obs) = 7.9(1) x 10(-)(6) s(-)(1) at 25 degrees C.  相似文献

The coordination or ion pairing of the hydrogen-bonded anions H(CF3CO2)2- and H(CH3SO3)2- to NEt4+, Li+, Cu+, and/or Cu2+ was investigated. The structure of [Cu2(H(CH3SO3)2)4]n consists of centrosymmetric dimeric moieties that contain two homoconjugated (CH3SO2O-H...OSO2CH3)- anions per Cu2+ ion, forming typical Jahn-Teller tetragonally elongated CuO6 coordination spheres. The oxygen atoms involved in the nearly linear O-H...O hydrogen bonds (O...O approximately 2.62 A) are not coordinated to the Cu2+ ions. The structure of Cu2(CO)2(H(CF3-CO2)2)2 consists of pseudo-C2-symmetric dimers that contain one homoconjugated (CF3COO-H...OCOCF3)- anion per Cu+ ion, forming highly distorted tetrahedral Cu(CO)O3 coordination spheres. Three of the four oxygen atoms in each hydrogen-bonded H(CF3CO2)2- anion are coordinated to the Cu+ ions, including one of the oxygen atoms in each O-H...O hydrogen bond (O...O approximately 2.62 A). Infrared spectra (v(CO) values) of Cu(CO)(CF3CO2) or Cu(CO)(CH3SO3) dissolved in acetonitrile or benzene, with and without added CF3COOH or CH3SO3H, respectively, demonstrate that HA2- anions involving carboxylates or sulfonates are more weakly coordinating than the parent anions RCO2- and RSO3-. Direct current conductivities of THF solutions of Li(CF3CO2) containing varying concentrations of added CF3COOH further demonstrate that Li+ and NEt4+ ion pair much more weakly with H(CF3CO2)2- than with CF3CO2-.  相似文献

New modes of 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition are uncovered by the isolation of [CH2(6-t-Bu-4-Me-C6H2O)2]P(C(CO2Me)C(CO2Me)N[NP(N3)(OC6H2-6-t-Bu-4-Me)2CH2]N) (3) and [CH2(6-t-Bu-4-Me-C6H2O)2]P(C(CO2Me)C(CO2Me)C(O)N) (4) on treating [CH2(6-t-Bu-4-Me-C6H2O)2]P-X [X = N3 (1) and NCO (2)] with the dipolarophile MeO2CC identical to CCO2Me; compound 4 undergoes an unprecedented ring expansion upon addition of 2-(methylamino)ethanol to afford the spirocycle [CH2(6-t-Bu-4-Me-C6H2O)2]P(OCH2CH2N(Me)CH(CO2Me)CH(CO2Me)C(O)N) (5).  相似文献

Lithium formate ((6)LiOOCH.H(2)O), 95% (6)Li enrichment, combined with an exchange of crystallization water with D(2)O was investigated. The ESR spectrum of the radiation induced free radicals stable at room temperature consists of a singlet with a narrow line width, 0.92mT. (6)Li has smaller magnetic moment and nuclear spin, which resulted in the narrower line width accompanied with an increase in peak amplitude. In comparison with lithium formate with natural isotopic composition, (6)Li (7.5%, I=1) and (7)Li (92.5%, I=3/2), the sensitivity was increased by a factor of two. With optimised spectrometer settings (6)Li formate had seven times higher sensitivity compared to alanine. Therefore this material is proposed as a dosimeter material in a dose range down to 0.1Gy. The g and the (13)C-hyperfine (hf) tensors of the CO(2)(-) radical anion, major paramagnetic products, were evaluated to be g=(2.0037, 1.9975, 2.0017), and A((13)C)=(465.5, 447.5, 581.3) MHz for polycrystalline samples at room temperature. Furthermore, the (1)H-hf and (6)Li-hf tensors observed for the surroundings of CO(2)(-) by ENDOR technique were in fairly good agreement with DFT calculations. The CO(2)(-) radicals are found to be so stable that the formate is applicable to the ESR dosimetry, because of fully relaxing in a fully relaxed geometrical structure of the CO(2)(-) component and remaining tight binding with the surroundings after the H atom detachment from HCO(2)(-).  相似文献

The serendipitous discovery of a 3D [Cu(CO(3))(2)(2-)](n) network with the topology of the 4(2)6(4) sodalite net in [Cu(6)(CO(3))(12)(CH(6)N(3))(8)].K(4).8H(2)O paved the way for the deliberate engineering of an extensive series of structurally related guanidinium-templated metal carbonates of composition [M(6)(CO(3))(12)(CH(6)N(3))(8)]Na(3-)[N(CH(3))(4)].xH(2)O, where the divalent metal M in the framework may be Mg, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, or Cd. A closely related crystalline material with a [Ca(CO(3))(2)(2-)](n) sodalite-like framework, but containing K(+) rather than Na(+), of composition [Ca(6)(CO(3))(12)(CH(6)N(3))(8)]K(3)[N(CH(3))(4)].3H(2)O was also isolated. All of these compounds were obtained under the simplest possible conditions from aqueous solution at room temperature, and their structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Pairs of guanidinium cations are associated with the hexagonal windows of the sodalite cages, alkali-metal cations are associated with their square windows, and N(CH(3))(4)(+) ions are located at their centers. Structures fall into two classes depending on the metal, M(II), in the framework. One type, the BC type (Im3m), comprising the compounds for which M(2+) = Ca(2+), Mn(2+), Cu(2+), and Cd(2+), has a body-centered cubic unit cell, while the second type, the FC type (Fd3c), for which M(2+) = Mg(2+), Fe(2+), Co(2+), Ni(2+), and Zn(2+), has a face-centered cubic unit cell with edges on the order of twice those of the BC structural type. The metal M in the BC structures has four close carbonate oxygen donors and four other more distant ones, while M in the FC structures has an octahedral environment consisting of two bidentate chelating carbonate ligands and two cis monodentate carbonate ligands.  相似文献
