In a recent paper (Sharif and Shamir in Class. Quantum Grav. 26:235020, 2009), we have studied the vacuum solutions of Bianchi types I and V spacetimes in the framework of metric f (R) gravity. Here we extend this work to perfect fluid solutions. For this purpose, we take stiff matter to find energy density and pressure of the universe. In particular, we find two exact solutions in each case which correspond to two models of the universe. The first solution gives a singular model while the second solution provides a non-singular model. The physical behavior of these models has been discussed using some physical quantities. Also, the function of the Ricci scalar is evaluated.  相似文献

The well-known energy problem is discussed in f (R) theory of gravity. We use the generalized Landau–Lifshitz energy–momentum complex in the framework of metric f (R) gravity to evaluate the energy density of plane symmetric solutions for some general f (R) models. In particular, this quantity is found for some popular choices of f (R) models. The constant scalar curvature condition and the stability condition for these models are also discussed. Further, we investigate the energy distribution of cosmic string spacetime.  相似文献

Cosmological models with variable G in C-field cosmology for barotropic fluid distribution in FRW space-time are investigated. To get the deterministic model of the universe, we have assumed that G=R n where R is the scale factor and n the constant. To obtain the results in terms of cosmic time t, we have assumed n=−1. We find that for n=−1, Creation field (C) and spatial volume increase with time, G and ρ (matter density) decreases with time, the model represent accelerating universe. Thus inflationary scenario exists in the model. The model is also free from horizon. The results so obtained match with the astronomical observations.  相似文献

The ground state degeneracy of an SU(N) k topological phase with n quasiparticle excitations is a relevant quantity for quantum computation, condensed matter physics, and knot theory. It is an open question to find a closed formula for this degeneracy for any N >2. Here we present the problem in an explicit combinatorial way and analyze the case N = 3. While not finding a complete closed-form solution, we obtain generating functions and solve some special cases.  相似文献

In this paper, we reconstruct cosmological models in the framework of f(R,T) gravity, where R is the Ricci scalar and T is the trace of the stress-energy tensor. We show that the dust fluid reproduces ΛCDM, phantom–non-phantom era and phantom cosmology. Further, we reconstruct different cosmological models, including the Chaplygin gas, and scalar field with some specific forms of f(R,T). Our numerical simulation for the Hubble parameter shows good agreement with the BAO observational data for low redshifts, z<2.  相似文献

Ever since the pioneering work of Bardeen, Cooper and Schrieffer in the 1950s, exploring novel pairing mechanisms for fermion superfluids has become one of the central tasks in modern physics. Here, we investigate a new type of fermion superfluid with hybridized s- and p-wave pairings in an ultracold spin-1/2 Fermi gas. Its occurrence is facilitated by the co-existence of comparable s- and p-wave interactions, which is realizable in a two-component 40K Fermi gas with close-by s- and p-wave Feshbach resonances. The hybridized superfluid state is stable over a considerable parameter region on the phase diagram, and can lead to intriguing patterns of spin densities and pairing fields in momentum space. In particular, it can induce a phase-locked p-wave pairing in the fermion species that has no p-wave interactions. The hybridized nature of this novel superfluid can also be confirmed by measuring the s- and p-wave contacts, which can be extracted from the high-momentum tail of the momentum distribution of each spin component. These results enrich our knowledge of pairing superfluidity in Fermi systems, and open the avenue for achieving novel fermion superfluids with multiple partial-wave scatterings in cold atomic gases.  相似文献

Some aspects of minimal supersymmetric renormalizable grand unified theories are reviewed here. These include some constraints on the model parameters from the Higgs and light fermion masses in SU(5), and the issues of symmetry breaking, doublet–triplet splitting and fermion masses in E6.  相似文献

In this paper we look for correlations between intermediate p T particle pairs and the v 2 of the remaining low p T particles. We find that the shape of the flow vector distribution, which is calculated from all low p T tracks, depends in a non-trivial way on the angular separation between the high p T particle pairs in the event. Our analysis is based on 200 GeV Au+Au collisions measured with the STAR detector.  相似文献

The spatial string tension across a crossover from the low-temperature phase to the high-temperature phase is computed in QCD with two flavors of nonperturbatively improved Wilson fermions at small lattice spacing a ∼ 0.12 fm. We find that in the low-temperature phase spatial string tension agrees well with zero-temperature string tension. Furthermore, it does not show increasing for temperatures up to T = 1.36T pc, the highest temperature considered. Our results agree with some theoretical predictions. From a macroscopic theory of the quantum vacuum in terms of conserved relativistic charges (generically denoted by q (a) with label a), we have obtained, in the low-energy limit, a particular type of f(R) model relevant to cosmology. The macroscopic quantum-vacuum theory allows us to distinguish between different phenomenological f(R) models on physical grounds. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

Previous studies have indicated that the near-side peak of high-p T triggered correlations can be decomposed into two parts, the Jet and the Ridge. We present data on the yield per trigger of the Jet and the Ridge from d+Au, Cu+Cu and Au+Au collisions at GeV and 200 GeV and compare data on the Jet to PYTHIA 8.1 simulations for p+p. PYTHIA describes the Jet component up to a scaling factor, meaning that PYTHIA can provide a better understanding of the Ridge by giving insight into the effects of the kinematic cuts. We present collision energy and system dependence of the Ridge yield, which should help distinguish models for the production mechanism of the Ridge.  相似文献

We continue to study a special class of Passarino-Veltman functions J arising at the reduction of infrared divergent box diagrams. We describe a procedure of separation of two types of singularities, infrared and mass singularities, which are absorbed in simple C 0 functions. The infrared divergences of C 0’s can be regularized then by any method: photon mass, dimensionally or by the width of an unstable particle. Functions D 0 are represented as certain linear combinations of the standard C 0 Passarino-Veltman functions and infrared finite functions J. Then mass singularities are extracted from J to other combinations of C 0. The rests are free of both types of singularities and are expressed as explicit and compact linear combination of logarithms and dilogarithm functions. The extensive comparison of numerical results with those obtained with the aid of the Loop Tools package is presented.  相似文献

We present a detailed numerical study of the Ke3 decays to in chiral perturbation theory with virtual photons and leptons. We describe the extraction of the CKM matrix element |Vus| from the experimental Ke3 decay parameters. We propose a consistency check of the K + e3 and K0e3 data that is largely insensitive to the dominating theoretical uncertainties, in particular the contributions of . Our analysis is highly relevant in view of the recent high statistics measurement of the K + e3 branching ratio by E865 at Brookhaven which does not indicate any significant deviation from CKM unitarity but rather a discrepancy with the present K0e3 data.Received: 22 January 2004, Published online: 30 April 2004Work supported in part by IHP-RTN, Contract No. HPRN-CT2002-00311 (EURIDICE) and by Acciones Integradas, Project No. 19/2003 (Austria), HU2002-0044 (MCYT, Spain)  相似文献

We use an appropriate combination of moments of finite energy sum rules in QCD in order to compute the B q -meson decay constants f B and . We perform the calculation using a two-loop computation of the imaginary part of the pseudoscalar two point function in terms of the running bottom quark mass. The results are stable against the so-called QCD duality threshold, and they are in agreement with the estimates obtained from Borel transform QCD sum rules and lattice computations.Received: 28 July 2004, Revised: 10 September 2004, Published online: 23 November 2004PACS: 12.38.Bx, 12.38.LgSupported by MCYT-FEDER under contract FPA2002-00612.  相似文献

The recent LIGO observation sparked interest in the field of gravitational wave signals. Besides the gravitational wave observation the LIGO collaboration used the inspiraling black hole pair to constrain the graviton mass. Unlike general relativity, f(R) theories have a characteristic non-zero mass graviton. We apply this constraint on the graviton mass to viable f(R) models in order to find the effects on model parameters. We find it possible to constrain the parameter space with these gravity wave based observations. We consider the popular Hu–Sawicki model as a case study and find an appropriate parameter bracket. The result generalizes to other f(R) theories and can be used to constrain the parameter space.  相似文献

We calculate the scalar semileptonic kaon decay in finite volume at the momentum transfer t m =(m K m π )2, using chiral perturbation theory. At first we obtain the hadronic matrix element to be calculated in finite volume. We then evaluate the finite size effects for two volumes with L=1.83 fm and L=2.73 fm and find that the difference between the finite volume corrections of the two volumes are larger than the difference as quoted in Boyle et al. (Phys. Rev. Lett. 100:141601, 2008). It appears then that the pion masses used for the scalar form factor in ChPT are large which result in large finite volume corrections. If appropriate values for pion mass are used, we believe that the finite size effects estimated in this paper can be useful for lattice data to extrapolate at large lattice size.  相似文献

The final-state interaction of pions in K e4 decay allows to obtain the value of the isospin and angular-momentum-zero ππ scattering length a 00.We take into account the electromagnetic interaction of pions and isospin-symmetry-breaking effects caused by different masses of neutral and charged pions and estimate the impact of these effects on the procedure of scattering-length extraction from K e4 decays.  相似文献

We construct a 3+-summable spectral triple over the quantum group SUq(2) which is equivariant with respect to a left and a right action of The geometry is isospectral to the classical case since the spectrum of the operator D is the same as that of the usual Dirac operator on the 3-dimensional round sphere. The presence of an equivariant real structure J demands a modification in the axiomatic framework of spectral geometry, whereby the commutant and first-order properties need be satisfied only modulo infinitesimals of arbitrary high order.Partially supported by Polish State Committee for Scientific Research (KBN) under grant 2 P03B 022 25.Regular Associate of the Abdus Salam ICTP, Trieste.  相似文献

We present selected recent results of multi-hadron correlation measurements in azimuth and pseudorapidity at intermediate and high p T in Au+Au collisions at , from the STAR experiment at RHIC. At intermediate p T , measurements are presented that attempt to determine the origin of the associated near-side (small Δφ) yield at large pseudo-rapidity difference Δη that is found to be present in heavy ion collisions. In addition, results are reported on new multi-hadron correlation measures at high-p T that use di-hadron triggers and multi-hadron cluster triggers with the goal to constrain the underlying jet kinematics better than in the existing measurements of inclusive spectra and di-hadron correlations.  相似文献
