BASIC FORMULATION OF STATIC AND DYNAMIC BEHAVIOURS OF SOIL AND OTHER POROUS MEDIA

This paper treats the soil and rock or concrete as a two-phasemedium composed of a solid skeleton and an interstitial fluid.Un-der the unsaturated condition of interstitial fluid,the thirdphase is taken into consideration. In this paper. we consider theconstitutive relation,dynamic and kinematic relations,and also va-rious approximations with their limits of validity.including thoseof most practical engineering situations such as the consolidationproblem and the undrained behaviour. The finite element discreti-zation and the time dependent solution of various classes of soilproblem are also discussed.

Since the last two decades great insight has penetrated into nonlinear phenomena due to the interaction of the science of mechanics with modern mathematics, the improvement of experimental techniques and the advent of computers. Nonlinear mechanics has been advancing steadily to meet the requirements of various departments in industry.     

DISPERSION OF NANODIAMOND AND ULTRA-FINE POLISHING OF QUARTZ WAFER

Mechanochemical Modification (MCM) of nanodiamond surface with DN-10 was studied in relation to the performance of nanodiamond in polishing quartz wafers. Results show that the modified nanodiamond is more stable in the pH range 8-11. A super smooth surface with an average roughness of 0.214 nm was achieved using a nanodiamond-based slurry regulated by N-(2-hydroxyethyl)ethylenediamine. It is suggested that the principal ultra-fine polishing mechanism of auartz wafer involves atom-level removal under the synergism of chemical and mechanical actions.     

PREPARATION AND PROPERTIES OF ULTRAFINE COMPOSITE POWDERS OF Fe304 AND Ni／MICA

This paper presents the preparation of ultrafine powders of Fe3O4 and Ni by a chemical method, followed by mixing the prepared powders with mica and other ultrafine powders for synthesizing microwave absorption coatings.The microwave attenuation rate of the coatings was measured by the Microwave Network Analyzer in the frequency range of 8-12 GHz at room temperature. The results indicate that microwave could be absorbed by the coatings with an effectiveness strongly dependent on the powder sort and content and the coating thickness.     

OPTIMIZATION AND APPLICATIONS OF REVERSE-FLOW CYCLONES

An optimum design approach to reverse-flow cyclones based on the concept of optimizing cyclone dimensions is introduced in this paper. This approach involves optimizing cyclone dimensions by categories, calculating cyclone performance by correlating similitude numbers and optimizing the combination of four cyclone parameters, D1 KA1 dr^- and vi, which has been proven to be applicable not only for single-stage cyclone, but also for multistage cyclone separators. Applications of the designed cyclones in FCC units and acrylonitrile reactors are also presented.

VITRIFICATION OF LIGNITE FLY ASH AND METAL SLAGS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF GLASS AND GLASS CERAMICS

This work focuses on the production of glass and glass-ceramics by using industrial wastes or by-products, e.g., two fly ashes from the combustion of lignite, a slag from the production of Fe-Ni and a slag from the making of steel. Vitrification took place at 1 350°-1450℃ and crystallization was achieved by heat treatment at 900, 950 and 1 000℃. The capability of the waste to be vitrified and subsequently devitrified was determined by XRD techniques. The crystalline phase depends greatly on the structure of the by-product and the heat treatment. The final products showed low leachability and good hardness.     

INVESTIGATION AND APPLICATIONS OF PANSYSTEMS RECOGNITION THEORY AND PANSYSTEMS-OPERATIONS RESEARCH OF LARGE-SCALE SYSTEMS (Ⅰ)

In this work, a sort of recognition theory and operations research of large scale systems are developed within the framework of pansystems methodology. We establish a series of theorems concerning pansystems relations, which discuss some fundamental problems of interdisciplines from the viewpoint of generalized system-transformation-symmetry in things mechanism, and are connected closely with mathematical physics systems thinking science bioecological sciences and the methodological investigation of mechanical foundation. This paper offers 100 pansystems theorems.

The description of the characteristics of the structure and the quantity in fixed pansystems theorems

It gives in finite case the structural character of fixed subsets; the criterion of existence of the least fixed subset, and the numbering formula of fixed subsets and minimal fixed subsets.     

Pansystems research on a type of fixed subsets

The present paper continues the pansystems research on fixed studies. Under the pansystems framework it gives the existence critertion of I-type fixed and the theorems about the relations between the classes of reflexive and equation one and fixed subsets: introdaces the concept of fixpoints of binary relations extstence theorems about fixpoints for a kind of panweighted netwest.

In this paper, we continue the research of fixed pansystems theorems presented in ref [1], and discuss the existence, the structure and the number of fixed subsets.     

Fixed pansystems theorems and eigen-fuzzy sets

In this paper, we apply fixed pansystems theorems to study when a fuzzy transformation has a nonzero eigen-fuzzy set. Many necessary conditions and sufficient conditions are obtained. Furthermore, the properties of nonzero eigen-fuzzy sets are investigated, and the results presented in Ref. [4] are extended.     

Some pansystems studies on panchaos and strange panattractor

Paper [1] discussed the relations among panchaos and strange panattractor and pansystems operators. Paper [2] gave the applications of the fixed-point pansystems theorems to these typical nonlinear problems. In this paper, we firstly present several concepts: increasing relation, maximal panchaos, etc., and discuss the relations among them. We also discuss the problems when two increasing relations have the same panchaos and when panchaos of g is panchaos of g^t as well.     

Pansystems clustering analysis of complex systems

In this paper, by use of equivalence operators δ_i and semi-equivalence operators ε_i we study the clustering problems of complex systems, present δ_i(1,3) disconnection principle,dual transformation principle and large-scale systems decomposition principle for analizing and operating complex systems, discuss interconnectivity and disconnectivity of complex systems in detail and present some related theorems. Finally, we discuss the levels of systems according to pansystems, clustering approach proposed in this paper.     

PANSYMMETRY AND FIXED PANSYSTEMS THEOREMS OF A CLASS OF PANSYSTEMS RELATIONS

In this paper. some results of pansymmetry and fixed pansystems theorems areextended to the case of a class of binary relations under the framework of pansystemsmethodology It is concretely discussed when a class of binary relations has a common fixedsubset on a finite universal set. Several simple but comprehensive decisive theorems areobtained which can be determined if a class of binary relations has a common fixed subset.Asaresult the main decisive theorem-Markov-Kakutani Theorem-is extended whichis in traditionally fixed point theory and can be determined if a class of mappings has acommon fixed point.     

Variation transforming analysis (II)

This paper introduces some related concepts of pansystems analysis (such as pansystem, pansystem space, pansystem logic space, pometric pansystem, etc), and develops the convex set theory, Banach's theorem of completeness, Lax equivalence theory, theorems of Kuhn-Tucker type and Dubovitsky-Milutin type into the pometric (partial ordered metric) pansystem forms, they are different from traditional results. Furthermore, the general stability of operator equations and MSP transforming principles of approximation are investigated.
