Zur polarographischen Bestimmung von Selen als Selenosulfat in Kupferkonzentraten

Zusammenfassung Selenosulfatanion liefert in alkalischen Lösungen mit 0,2 Mol/l Na₂CO₃ und 0,2 Mol/l Na₂SO₃ eine gut ausgebildete polarographische Stufe, die die Bestimmung von vierwertigem Selen im Konzentrationsbereich von 10–5 bis 10–3 Mol erlaubt. Da für die Bildung des Selenosulfats die Abtrennung von elementarem Selen notwendig ist, sind Fremdionen ohne Einflu\.

Summary Selenosulphate anion yields in alkaline solutions of 0.2 Mol Na₂CO₃ and 0.2 Mol Na₂SO₃ a well-shaped polarographic wave, which makes possible the determination of tetravalent selenium within the concentration range of 10^–5 to 10^–3 Mole. As the formation of selenosulphate requires the separation of elementary selenium, various metals are not interfering.

Formation of Organosilicon Compounds. 77. Formation of Carbosilanes from Methylsilanes The products formed by pyrolysis of me₃SiH, me₂SiH₂, and meSiH₃ are reported. Sime₄ and the mentioned methylsilanes were reacted in a plasma, and the products are compared to those of the pyrolysis. The pyrolysis of me₃SiH and me₂SiH₂ essentially yields the same groups of carbosilanes which are accessible by thermal decomposition of Sime₄, if the range is restricted to compounds with 4 Si atoms at most. Cylic carbosilanes are the main products of the pyrolysis of me₃SiH, and amoung these, 1,3,5-trisilacyclohexanes and 1,3,5,7-tetrasilaadamantanes are preferrently formed. From me₂SiH₂ above all linear compounds as 1,3-disilapropanes are obtained. This is attributed to the chosen experimental procedure in which they not subject to further reaction. In the pyrolysis of meSiH₃ a yellow solid is formed besides little amounts of meH₂Si? SiH₂me. Compared to the compounds formed by pyrolysis of Sime₄, the carbosilasen obtained from me₃SiH and me₂SiH₂ possess more SiH substituents. Also the decomposition of Sime₄ in a plasma preferrently yields carbosilanes, mainly linear compounds with 2 or 3 Si atoms.

Trace elements such as Bi, Cu, Ni, Pb, Ag, Au, and Pd that are present in high-purity cadmium can be enriched, if the cadmium is coated with a thin layer of mercury before dissolution in dilute nitric acid up to a small residue. For determination of the trace elements, the residue is completely dissolved in nitric acid. Bi, Cu, Ni, and Pb are determined after separation of the mercury; Ag, Au, and Pd are determined in the solution containing the mercury. The determination is made by atomic absorption spectroscopy. The following amounts can be determined (in ppm): Cu 0.02; Ag 0.05; Au 0.1; Bi, Ni, Pb, Pd 0.2.

Adsorption von Spuren von Insecticiden aus Wasser an Poly?thylen

Zusammenfassung Insecticidspuren, zum Beispiel von Lindan oder DDT, werden aus wäßriger Phase an Polyäthylen adsorbiert. Die verschiedenen Parameter, die das Adsorptionsverhalten beeinflussen, werden beschrieben. Das Verfahren kann jedoch für analytische Zwecke kaum angewandt werden, da Schwebstoffe in den meisten Wasserproben, etwa im Flußwasser, ihrerseits die Insecticide stark adsorbieren.Der Fa.
