A dual-diode millimeter wave harmonic power combiner in which two radial line transformers are used is modelled by a field analysis technique based on Galerkin's method combined with collocation technique. The external circuit impedances looking outside from each of two active devices are computed at both fundamental frequencies and the second harmonic frequencies. Numerical results of the impedances with respect to various structural parameters are presented. Some important characteristics of the harmonic power combiner are revealed. A number of useful conclusions have been deduced for practical design and adjustment.  相似文献

We have investigated decentralized active control of periodic panel vibration using multiple pairs combining PZT actuators and PVDF sensors distributed on the panel. By contrast with centralized MIMO controllers used to actively control the vibrations or the sound radiation of extended structures, decentralized control using independent local control loops only requires identification of the diagonal terms in the plant matrix. However, it is difficult to a priori predict the global stability of such decentralized control. In this study, the general situation of noncollocated actuator-sensor pairs was considered. Frequency domain gradient and Newton-Raphson adaptation of decentralized control were analyzed, both in terms of performance and stability conditions. The stability conditions are especially derived in terms of the adaptation coefficient and a control effort weighting coefficient. Simulations and experimental results are presented in the case of a simply supported panel with four PZT-PVDF pairs distributed on it. Decentralized vibration control is shown to be highly dependent on the frequency, but can be as effective as a fully centralized control even when the plant matrix is not diagonal-dominant or is not strictly positive real (not dissipative).  相似文献

A prototype hybrid system consisting of active and passive components for controlling far-field locomotive exhaust noise has been designed, assembled, and tested on a locomotive. The system consisted of a resistive passive silencer for controlling high-frequency broadband noise and a feedforward multiple-input, multiple-output active control system for suppressing low-frequency tonal noise. The active system used ten roof-mounted bandpass speaker enclosures with 2-12-in. speakers per enclosure as actuators, eight roof-mounted electret microphones as residual sensors, and an optical tachometer that sensed locomotive engine speed as a reference sensor. The system was installed on a passenger locomotive and tested in an operating rail yard. Details of the system are described and the near-field and far-field noise reductions are compared against the design goal.  相似文献

In this paper, the new technique of harmonic power combination—millimeter -wave quasi-optical harmonic power combination is presented. In this technique, by compounding several closed resonators with a quasi-optical open resonator, the harmonic powers of active devices are combined, which takes effectively respective advantages of closed cavity power combination and open cavity power combination and improve the combination efficiency of multiple-device harmonic power combiner. Aiming at the program planning for chained high-voltage active power filter system in superconducting magnet power of stabilized intense magnetic fields, combing with the non-linear characteristics of active power filter system, a method adopting the fractional-order PI controller instead of ordinary PI controller was proposed to realize three capacitive equalizing control method, and based on the improved Oustaloup algorithm, the solution of fractional calculus was achieved. Through simulation and experimental comparison, the running effects of fractional-order PI controller and conventional PI controller was analyzed. According to simulation and experiment, this fractional-order PI controller is correct.  相似文献

The state of extremal entropy for a one-dimensional probability density is considered. This density is constrained by fixed values of the first and second moment. The grandcanonical distribution yields the extremum of the entropy within a certain range of values of the moments. A different type of density corresponds to an extremum of entropy when the moments are outside this range. The shape of this density is approximated with the Ritz variation method. The results are applied to the formation of breathers in the discrete nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

A hybrid active noise controller (ANC) is proposed to solve some existing problems, which are related to the non-minimum phase (NMP) path models between uncollocated sensors and actuators in many ANC systems. For hybrid ANC schemes, the NMP path causes design difficulties to both feedforward and feedback control. These problems can be solved effectively by adding an extra actuator in the ANC system. A new design procedure is presented to take the greatest advantage of the extra actuator. Theoretical analysis and experimental results are presented to show the improved performance of the proposed ANC.  相似文献

We numerically demonstrate a photo-excited plasmon-induced transparency (PIT) effect in hybrid terahertz (THz) metamaterials. The proposed metamaterials are regular arrays of hybrid unit cells composed of a metallic cut wire and four metallic split-ring resonators (SRRs) whose gaps are filled with photosensitive semiconductor gallium arsenide (GaAs) patches. We simulate the PIT effect controlled by external infrared light intensity to change the conductivity of GaAs. In the absence of photo excitation, the conductivity of GaAs is 0, thus the SRR gaps are disconnected, and the PIT effect is not observed since the dark resonator (supported by the hybrid SRRs) cannot be stimulated. When the conductivity of GaAs is increased via photo excitation, the conductivity of GaAs can increase rapidly from 0 S/m to 1×106 S/m and GaAs can connect the metal aluminum SRR gaps, and the dark resonator is excited through coupling with the bright resonator (supported by the cut wire), which leads to the PIT effect. Therefore, the PIT effect can be dynamically tuned between the on and off states by controlling the intensity of the external infrared light. We also discuss couplings between one bright mode (CW) and several dark modes (SRRs) with different sizes. The interference analytically described by the coupled Lorentz oscillator model elucidates the coupling mechanism between one bright mode and two dark modes. The phenomenon can be considered the result of linear superposition of the coupling between the bright mode and each dark mode. The proposed metamaterials are promising for application in the fields of THz communications, optical storage, optical display, and imaging.  相似文献

Some efficient strategies for the active control of vibrations of a beam structure using piezoelectric materials are described. The control algorithms have been implemented for a cantilever beam model developed using finite element formulation. The vibration response of the beam to an impulse excitation has been calculated numerically for the uncontrolled and the controlled cases. The essence of the method proposed is that a feedback force in different modes be applied according to the vibration amplitude in the respective modes i.e., modes having lesser vibration may receive lesser feedback. This weighting may be done on the basis of either displacement or energy present in different modes. This method is compared with existing methods of modal space control, namely the independent modal space control (IMSC), and modified independent modal space control (MIMSC). The method is in fact an extension of the modified independent space control with the addition that it proposes to use the sum of weighted multiple modal forces for control. The proposed method results in a simpler feedback, which is easy to implement on a controller. The procedure is illustrated for vibration control of a cantilever beam. The analytical results show that the maximum feedback control voltage required in the proposed method is further reduced as compared to existing methods of IMSC and MIMSC for similar vibration control. This paper aims at addressing the active control effort of the active-shunted hybrid piezoelectric absorber for structural vibration suppression. Both active control efforts of the integrated and separated hybrid piezoelectric absorbers are analyzed by using a simple cantilevered beam example. It is recognized that a new hybrid piezoelectric absorber based on a switching operation is capable of reducing the active control effort. A switching type of the hybrid piezoelectric absorber can be developed by the simple combination of integrated and separated hybrid piezoelectric absorbers. It is demonstrated that the switching type of the absorber has the capability of the trade-off between the active control effort and the damping performance.  相似文献

Hitherto the filtering techniques used in active sound control systems have been analogue: these are rapidly becoming obsolete because of their lack of stability and versatility. The microprocessor gives digital techniques an edge both on grounds of convenience and economics; moreover the performance of digital filtering is far superior to that of analogue methods. An algorithm is presented which can be used to assess the optimum filter characteristics required for active sound control systems with a single degree of freedom. In the process the system is subjected to three random noise tests which directly yield the characteristics of the filter. The algorithm has been tried out in practical applications and shown to be both quick and convenient to use.  相似文献

Construction and performance characteristics of a dye-laser oscillator-amplifier system, longitudinally pumped by the second harmonic of a Nd-YAG laser, are described. Using a 10-power prism expander the grating-tuned linewidth is about 0.4 cm-1. With 100 mJ pump energy output energies as high as 35 mJ with Rh 6G have been obtained. The dye-laser covers the wavelength range from 550–720 nm.  相似文献
