An example of compact extensions of Kronecker factors and skew products of irrational rotations with finite groups

We give an example to show that compact extensions of Kronecker factors for two ergodic commuting measure preserving transformations can be different. Also, a criteria for ergodicity of skew products of irrational rotations with finite abelian groups is obtained.

Ergodicity of a polling network with an infinite number of stations

A Markov polling system with infinitely many stations is studied. The topic is the ergodicity of the infinite-dimensional process of queue lengths. For the infinite-dimensional process, the usual type of ergodicity cannot prevail in general and we introduce a modified concept of ergodicity, namely, weak ergodicity. It means the convergence of finite-dimensional distributions of the process. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for weak ergodicity. Also, the “usual” ergodicity of the system is studied, as well as convergence of functionals which are continuous in some norm. Operator renewal theory and mixing rates for dynamical systems with infinite measure

We develop a theory of operator renewal sequences in the context of infinite ergodic theory. For large classes of dynamical systems preserving an infinite measure, we determine the asymptotic behaviour of iterates L ⁿ of the transfer operator. This was previously an intractable problem.Examples of systems covered by our results include (i) parabolic rational maps of the complex plane and (ii) (not necessarily Markovian) nonuniformly expanding interval maps with indifferent fixed points.In addition, we give a particularly simple proof of pointwise dual ergodicity (asymptotic behaviour of \(\sum_{j=1}^{n}L^{j}\)) for the class of systems under consideration.In certain situations, including Pomeau-Manneville intermittency maps, we obtain higher order expansions for L ⁿ and rates of mixing. Also, we obtain error estimates in the associated Dynkin-Lamperti arcsine laws.

The IP P＋M/M/c queueing system has been extensively used in the modern communication system.The existence and uniqueness of stationary distribution of the queue length L（t）for IP P＋M/M/1 queue has been proved in[10].In this paper,we shall give the su？cient and necessary conditions of l-ergodicity,geometric ergodicity,and prove that they are neither uniformly polynomial ergodicity nor strong ergodicity.

Convolution factorability of bilinear maps and integral representations

In this paper we consider a special class of continuous bilinear operators acting in a product of Banach algebras of integrable functions with convolution product. In the literature, these bilinear operators are called ‘zero product preserving’, and they may be considered as a generalization of Lamperti operators. We prove a factorization theorem for this class, which establishes that each zero product preserving bilinear operator factors through a subalgebra of absolutely integrable functions. We obtain also compactness and summability properties for these operators under the assumption of some classical properties for the range spaces, as the Dunford–Pettis property or the Schur property and we give integral representations by some concavity properties of operators. Finally, we give some applications for integral transforms, and an integral representation for Hilbert–Schmidt operators.     

Cocycles over interval exchange transformations and multivalued Hamiltonian flows

We consider interval exchange transformations of periodic type and construct different classes of ergodic cocycles of dimension?1 over this special class of IETs. Then using Poincaré sections we apply this construction to obtain the recurrence and ergodicity for some smooth flows on non-compact manifolds which are extensions of multivalued Hamiltonian flows on compact surfaces.

Upper Bounds on the Rate of Quantum Ergodicity

We study the semiclassical behaviour of eigenfunctions of quantum systems with ergodic classical limit. By the quantum ergodicity theorem almost all of these eigenfunctions become equidistributed in a weak sense. We give a simple derivation of an upper bound of order on the rate of quantum ergodicity if the classical system is ergodic with a certain rate. In addition we obtain a similar bound on transition amplitudes if the classical system is weak mixing. Both results generalise previous ones by Zelditch. Rational ergodicity,bounded rational ergodicity and some continuous measures on the circle

Two ratio limit concepts for transformations preserving infinite measures, rational ergodicity and bounded rational ergodicity, are discussed and compared. The concept of rational ergodicity is used to construct some continuous measures on the circle, which show that the exceptional set in the weak mixing theorem may be rather large. Ergodicity of Quasi-birth and Death Processes （Ⅰ）

Quasi-birth and death processes with block tridiagonal matrices find many applications in various areas. Neuts gave the necessary and sufficient conditions for the ordinary ergodicity and found an expression of the stationary distribution for a class of quasi-birth and death processes. In this paper we obtain the explicit necessary and sufficient conditions for/-ergodicity and geometric ergodicity for the class of quasi-birth and death processes, and prove that they are not strongly ergodic. A characterization for a complete random normed module to be mean ergodic

In this paper, we first study the mean ergodicity of random linear operators using some techniques of measure theory and L ⁰-convex analysis. Then, based on this, we give a characterization for a complete random normed module to be mean ergodic.     

GI/G/1排队系统的几种收敛速度

对随机模型,可以从不同角度研究其稳定性,一种是研究其转移概率函数趋向于平稳分布的速度,即各种遍历性;另一种是研究平稳分布的尾部衰减速度.本文从这两个方面着手,找它们之间的关系,对GI/G/1排队系统,给出等待时间列几何遍历、平稳分布轻尾与服务时间分布轻尾三者等价,l-遍历、平稳分布的尾部(l-1)-阶衰减与服务时间分布的尾部l-阶衰减三者等价,最后证明出等待时间列不是强遍历.

In this paper, we study the property of continuous mappings from a sphere to the Euclidean space. By using the theory of the periodic transformation in algebraic topology, we obtain a generalized Borsuk-Ulam theorem and then give some applications of the theorem.
