A new cobalt Schiff-base complex, [Co(L)(OH)(H2O)] (where L = [N,N′-bis(2-aminothiophenol)-1,4-bis(carboxylidene phenoxy)butane), was synthesized and its electrochemical and spectroelectochemical properties were investigated using cyclic voltammetry (CV), differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) and thin-layer spectro-electrochemistry in solutions of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) and dichloromethane (CH2Cl2). The [Co(L)(OH)(H2O)] complex displays two well-defined reversible reduction processes with the corresponding anodic waves. The half-wave potentials of the first and second reduction processes were displayed at E1/2 = 0.08 V and E1/2 = −1.21 V (scan rate: 0.100 Vs−1) in DMSO, and E1/2 = −0.124 V and E1/2 = −1.32 V (scan rate: 0.100 Vs−1) in CH2Cl2. The potentials of the reduction processes in DMSO are shifted toward negative potentials (0.220–0.112 V) compared to those in CH2Cl2. The electrochemical results are assigned to two one-electron reduction processes; [Co(III)L] + e → [Co(II)L] and [Co(II)L] + e → [Co(I)L]2−. The six-coordination of the complex remains unchanged during the reduction processes and the electron transfer processes were not followed by a chemical reaction upon scan reversal. It was also seen that [Co(L)(OH)(H2O)] was reduced at a more positive potential than the corresponding salen analogs. The shift and reversibility are apparently related to the high degree of electron delocalization of the [Co(L)(OH)(H2O)] complex, having a N2O2S2 donor set and two additional benzene units. Additionally, in situ spectroelectrochemical measurements support Co(III)/Co(II) and Co(II)/Co(I) reversible reduction processes with the observation of the corresponding spectral changes with the applied potentials Eapp = −0.40 and −1.60 V. Application of the spectroelectrochemical results allowed the determination ofE1/2 and n (the number of electrons) from the spectra of the fully oxidized and reduced species in one unified experiment as well. The results obtained by this method are in agreement with those by the CV and DPV methods.  相似文献

Current techno-economic evaluation manifests that the electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (eCO2RR) to CO is very promising considering its simple two-electron transfer process, minimum cost of electricity, and low separation cost. Herein, we report a Sn-modification strategy that can tune the local electronic structure of Cu with an appropriate valence. The as-prepared catalysts can alter the broad product distribution of Cu-based eCO2RR to predominantly generate CO. CO faradaic efficiency (FE) remained above 96% in the wide potential range of −0.5 to −0.9 V vs. the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) with CO partial current density up to 265 mA cm−2. The catalyst also had remarkable stability. Operando experiments and density functional theory calculations demonstrated that the surface Cuδ+ sites could be modulated and stabilized after introducing Sn. The Cuδ+ sites with low positive valence were conducive to regulating the binding energy of intermediates and resulted in high CO selectivity and maintained the stability of the catalyst. Additionally, scaling up the catalyst into a membrane electrode assemble system (MEA) could achieve a high overall current of 1.3 A with exclusive and stable CO generation.

Sn-stabilized Cuδ+ electrocatalysts have been prepared, achieving highly selective CO2-to-CO in a wide potential range. The modifier Sn could tune the electronic structure of Cu, resulting in high reactivity and selectivity for CO production.  相似文献

Oxide-derived copper (OD-Cu) has been discovered to be an effective catalyst for the electroreduction of CO2 to C2+ products. The structure of OD-Cu and its surface species during the reaction process are interesting topics, which have not yet been clearly discussed. Herein, in situ surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), operando X-ray absorption spectroscopy (XAS), and 18O isotope labeling experiments were employed to investigate the surface species and structures of OD-Cu catalysts during CO2 electroreduction. It was found that the OD-Cu catalysts were reduced to metallic Cu(0) in the reaction. CuOx species existed on the catalyst surfaces during the CO2RR, which resulted from the adsorption of preliminary intermediates (such as *CO2 and *OCO) on Cu instead of on the active sites of the catalyst. It was also found that abundant interfaces can be produced on OD-Cu, which can provide heterogeneous CO adsorption sites (strong binding sites and weak binding sites), leading to outstanding performance for obtaining C2+ products. The Faradaic efficiency (FE) for C2+ products reached as high as 83.8% with a current density of 341.5 mA cm−2 at −0.9 V vs. RHE.

CuOx species were shown to exist on OD-Cu during the CO2RR, which resulted from the adsorption of preliminary intermediates (such as *CO2 and *OCO) on Cu instead of on the active sites of the catalyst.  相似文献

The electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR) to C2 chemicals has received great attention. Here, we report the cuprous oxide (Cu2O) nanocubes cooperated with silver (Ag) nanoparticles via the replacement reaction for a synergetic CO2RR. The Cu2O-Ag tandem catalyst exhibits an impressive Faradaic efficiency (FE) of 72.85% for C2 products with a partial current density of 243.32 mA·cm−2. The electrochemical experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal that the introduction of Ag improves the intermediate CO concentration on the catalyst surface and meanwhile reduces the C-C coupling reaction barrier energy, which is favorable for the synthesis of C2 products.  相似文献

Electrocatalytic synthesis of multicarbon (C2+) products from CO2 reduction suffers from poor selectivity and low energy efficiency. Herein, a facile oxidation–reduction cycling method is adopted to reconstruct the Cu electrode surface with the help of halide anions. The surface composed of entangled Cu nanowires with hierarchical pores is synthesized in the presence of I, exhibiting a C2 faradaic efficiency (FE) of 80% at −1.09 V vs. RHE. A partial current density of 21 mA cm−2 is achieved with a C2 half-cell power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 39% on this electrode. Such high selective C2 production is found to mainly originate from CO intermediate enrichment inside hierarchical pores rather than the surface lattice effect of the Cu electrode.

The Cu electrode surface is reconstructed by a halide anion assisted method for promoting CO2 reduction.  相似文献

Electroreduction of CO2 into carbonaceous fuels or industrial chemicals using renewable energy sources is an ideal way to promote global carbon recycling. Thus, it is of great importance to develop highly selective, efficient, and stable catalysts. Herein, we prepared cobalt single atoms (Co SAs) coordinated with phthalocyanine (Co SAs-Pc). The anchoring of phthalocyanine with Co sites enabled electron transfer from Co sites to CO2 effectively via the π-conjugated system, resulting in high catalytic performance of CO2 electroreduction into CO. During the process of CO2 electroreduction, the Faradaic efficiency (FE) of Co SAs-Pc for CO was as high as 94.8 %. Meanwhile, the partial current density of Co SAs-Pc for CO was −11.3 mA cm−2 at −0.8 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode (vs RHE), 18.83 and 2.86 times greater than those of Co SAs (−0.60 mA cm−2) and commercial Co phthalocyanine (−3.95 mA cm−2), respectively. In an H-cell system operating at −0.8 V vs RHE over 10 h, the current density and FE for CO of Co SAs-Pc dropped by 3.2 % and 2.5 %. A mechanistic study revealed that the promoted catalytic performance of Co SAs-Pc could be attributed to the accelerated reaction kinetics and facilitated CO2 activation.  相似文献

CO2 adsorption in porous carbon materials has attracted great interests for alleviating emission of post-combustion CO2. In this work, a novel nitrogen-doped porous carbon material was fabricated by carbonizing the precursor of melamine-resorcinol-formaldehyde resin/graphene oxide (MR/GO) composites with KOH as the activation agent. Detailed characterization results revealed that the fabricated MR(0.25)/GO-500 porous carbon (0.25 represented the amount of GO added in wt.% and 500 denoted activation temperature in °C) had well-defined pore size distribution, high specific surface area (1264 m2·g−1) and high nitrogen content (6.92 wt.%), which was mainly composed of the pyridinic-N and pyrrolic-N species. Batch adsorption experiments demonstrated that the fabricated MR(0.25)/GO-500 porous carbon delivered excellent CO2 adsorption ability of 5.21 mmol·g−1 at 298.15 K and 500 kPa, and such porous carbon also exhibited fast adsorption kinetics, high selectivity of CO2/N2 and good recyclability. With the inherent microstructure features of high surface area and abundant N adsorption sites species, the MR/GO-derived porous carbon materials offer a potentially promising adsorbent for practical CO2 capture.  相似文献

The electrochemical reduction of CO2 presents a promising strategy to mitigate the greenhouse effect and reduce excess carbon dioxide emission to realize a carbon-neutral energy cycle, but it suffers from the lack of high-performance electrocatalysts. In this work, catalytic active cobalt porphyrin [TCPP(Co)=(5,10,15,20)-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin-CoII] was precisely anchored onto water-stable 2D metal–organic framework (MOF) nanosheets (Zr-BTB) to obtain ultrathin 2D MOF nanosheets [TCPP(Co)/Zr-BTB] with accessible catalytic sites for the CO2 reduction reaction. Compared with molecular cobalt porphyrin, the TCPP(Co)/Zr-BTB exhibits an ultrahigh turnover frequency (TOF=4768 h−1 at −0.919 V vs. reversible hydrogen electrode, RHE) owing to high active-site utilization. In addition, three post-modified 2D MOF nanosheets [TCPP(Co)/Zr-BTB-PABA, TCPP(Co)/Zr-BTB-PSBA, TCPP(Co)/Zr-BTB-PSABA] were obtained, with the modifiers of p-(aminomethyl)benzoic acid (PABA), p-sulfobenzoic acid potassium (PSBA), and p-sulfamidobenzoic acid (PSABA), to change the micro-environments around TCPP(Co) through the tuning of steric effects. Among them, the TCPP(Co)/Zr-BTB-PSABA exhibited the best performance with a faradaic efficiency (FECO) of 85.1 %, TOF of 5315 h−1, and jtotal of 6 mA cm−2 at −0.769 V (vs. RHE). In addition, the long-term durability of the electrocatalysts is evaluated and the role of pH buffer is revealed.  相似文献

The microstructure of a mixed KCl and K2SO4 aqueous solution was studied using X-ray scattering (XRS), Raman spectroscopy, and molecular dynamics simulation (MD). Reduced structure functions [F(Q)], reduced pair distribution functions [G(r)], Raman spectrum, and pair distribution functions (PDF) were obtained. The XRS results show that the main peak (r = 2.81 Å) of G(r) shifted to the right of the axis (r = 3.15 Å) with increased KCl and decreased K2SO4. The main peak was at r = 3.15 Å when the KCl concentration was 26.00% and the K2SO4 concentration was 0.00%. It is speculated that this phenomenon was caused by the main interaction changing, from K-OW (r = 2.80 Å) and OW-OW (r = 2.80 Å), to Cl-OW (r = 3.14 Å) and K+-Cl (r = 3.15 Å). According to the trend of the hydrogen bond structure in the Raman spectrum, when the concentration of KCl was high and K2SO4 was low, the destruction of the tetrahedral hydrogen bond network in the solution was more serious. This shows that the destruction strength of the anion to the hydrogen bond network structure in solution was Cl > SO42−. In the MD simulations, the coordination number of OW-OW decreased with increasing KCl concentration, indicating that the tetrahedral hydrogen bond network was severely disrupted, which confirmed the results of the Raman spectroscopy. The hydration radius and coordination number of SO42− in the mixed solution were larger than Cl, thus revealing the reason why the solubility of KCl in water was greater than that of K2SO4 at room temperature.  相似文献

Molecular hydrogen (H2) is considered one of the most promising fuels to decarbonize the industrial and transportation sectors, and its photocatalytic production from molecular catalysts is a research field that is still abounding. The search for new molecular catalysts for H2 production with simple and easily synthesized ligands is still ongoing, and the terpyridine ligand with its particular electronic and coordination properties, is a good candidate to design new catalysts meeting these requirements. Herein, we have isolated the new mono-terpyridyl rhodium complex, [RhIII(tpy)(CH3CN)Cl2](CF3SO3) (Rh-tpy), and shown that it can act as a catalyst for the light-induced proton reduction into H2 in water in the presence of the [Ru(bpy)3]Cl2 (Ru) photosensitizer and ascorbate as sacrificial electron donor. Under photocatalytic conditions, in acetate buffer at pH 4.5 with 0.1 M of ascorbate and 530 μM of Ru, the Rh-tpy catalyst produces H2 with turnover number versus catalyst (TONCat*) of 300 at a Rh concentration of 10 μM, and up to 1000 at a concentration of 1 μM. The photocatalytic performance of Ru/Rh-tpy/HA/H2A has been also compared with that obtained with the bis-dimethyl-bipyridyl complex [RhIII(dmbpy)2Cl2]+ (Rh2) as a catalyst in the same experimental conditions. The investigation of the electrochemical properties of Rh-tpy in DMF solvent reveals that the two-electrons reduced state of the complex, the square-planar [RhI(tpy)Cl] (RhI-tpy), is quantitatively electrogenerated by bulk electrolysis. This complex is stable for hours under an inert atmosphere owing to the π-acceptor property of the terpyridine ligand that stabilizes the low oxidation states of the rhodium, making this catalyst less prone to degrade during photocatalysis. The π-acceptor property of terpyridine also confers to the Rh-tpy catalyst a moderately negative reduction potential (Epc(RhIII/RhI) = −0.83 V vs. SCE in DMF), making possible its reduction by the reduced state of Ru, [RuII(bpy)(bpy•−)]+ (Ru) (E1/2(RuII/Ru) = −1.50 V vs. SCE) generated by a reductive quenching of the Ru excited state (*Ru) by ascorbate during photocatalysis. A Stern–Volmer plot and transient absorption spectroscopy confirmed that the first step of the photocatalytic process is the reductive quenching of *Ru by ascorbate. The resulting reduced Ru species (Ru) were then able to activate the RhIII-tpy H2-evolving catalyst by reduction generating RhI-tpy, which can react with a proton on a sub-nanosecond time scale to form a RhIII(H)-tpy hydride, the key intermediate for H2 evolution.  相似文献

Four new heterometallic complexes combining [MII(H2dapsc)]2+ cations with the chelating H2dapsc {2,6-diacetylpyridine-bis(semicarbazone)} Schiff base ligand and [Cr(CN)6]3− anion were synthesized: {[MII(H2dapsc)]CrIII(CN)6K(H2O)2.5(EtOH)0.5}n·1.2n(H2O), M = Mn (1) and Co (2), {[Mn(H2dapsc)]2Cr(CN)6(H2O)2}Cl·H2O (3) and {[Co(H2dapsc)]2Cr(CN)6(H2O)2}Cl·2EtOH·3H2O (4). In all the compounds, M(II) centers are seven-coordinated by N3O2 atoms of H2dapsc in the equatorial plane and N or O atoms of two apical –CN/water ligands. Crystals 1 and 2 are isostructural and contain infinite negatively charged chains of alternating [MII(H2dapsc)]2+ and [CrIII(CN)6]3− units linked by CN-bridges. Compounds 3 and 4 consist of centrosymmetric positively charged trimers in which two [MII(H2dapsc)]2+ cations are bound through one [CrIII(CN)6]3− anion. All structures are regulated by π-stacking of coplanar H2dapsc moieties as well as by an extensive net of hydrogen bonding. Adjacent chains in 1 and 2 interact also by coordination bonds via a pair of K+ ions. The compounds containing MnII (1, 3) and CoII (2, 4) show a significant difference in magnetic properties. The ac magnetic measurements revealed that complexes 1 and 3 behave as a spin glass and a field-induced single-molecule magnet, respectively, while 2 and 4 do not exhibit slow magnetic relaxation in zero and non-zero dc fields. The relationship between magnetic properties and non-covalent interactions in the structures 1–4 was traced.  相似文献

In this study, Scenedesmus sp. FSP3 was cultured using a two-stage culture strategy for CO2 fixation and lutein production. During the first stage, propylene carbonate was added to the medium, with 5% CO2 introduced to promote the rapid growth and CO2 fixation of the microalgae. During the second stage of cultivation, a NaCl concentration of 156 mmol L−1 and a light intensity of 160 μmol m−2 s−1 were used to stimulate the accumulation of lutein in the microalgal cells. By using this culture method, high lutein production and CO2 fixation were simultaneously achieved. The biomass productivity and carbon fixation rate of Scenedesmus sp. FSP3 reached 0.58 g L−1 d−1 and 1.09 g L−1 d−1, with a lutein content and yield as high as 6.45 mg g−1 and 2.30 mg L−1 d−1, respectively. The results reveal a commercially feasible way to integrate microalgal lutein production with CO2 fixation processes.  相似文献

A new metal–organic framework (MOF), [Co2(L)2(azpy)]n (compound 1, H2L = 5-(pyridin-4-ylmethoxy)-isophthalic acid, azpy = 4,4′-azopyridine), was synthesized by a solvothermal method and further characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, thermogravimetric analysis, single-crystal and powder X-ray diffraction. The X-ray single-crystal diffraction analysis for compound 1 indicated that two cis L22− ligands connected to two cobalt atoms resulted in a macrocycle structure. Through a series of adsorption tests, we found that compound 1 exhibited a high capacity of CO2, and the adsorption capacity could reach 30.04 cm3/g. More interestingly, under 273 K conditions, the adsorption of CO2 was 41.33 cm3/g. In addition, when the Co-MOF was irradiated by a 730 nm laser, rapid temperature increases for compound 1 were observed (temperature variation in 169 s: 26.6 °C), showing an obvious photothermal conversion performance. The photothermal conversion efficiency reached 20.3%, which might be due to the fact that the parallel arrangement of azo units inhibited non-radiative transition and promoted photothermal conversion. The study provides an efficient strategy for designing MOFs for the adsorption of CO2 and with good photothermal conversion performance.  相似文献

A novel derivative of ibuprofen and salicylaldehyde N′-(4-hydroxybenzylidene)-2-(4-isobutylphenyl) propane hydrazide (HL) was synthesized, followed by its complexation with Cu, Ni, Co, Gd, and Sm. The compounds obtained were characterized by 1HNMR, mass spectrometry, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR spectroscopy, thermal analysis (DTA and TGA), conductivity measurements, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The results indicate that the complexes formed were [Cu(L)(H2O)]Cl·2H2O, [Ni(L)2], [Co(L)2]·H2O, [Gd(L)2(H2O)2](NO3)·2H2O and [Sm(L)2(H2O)2](NO3)·2H2O. The surface characteristics of the produced compounds were evaluated by DFT calculations using the MOE environment. The docking was performed against the COX2 targeting protein (PDB code: 5IKT Homo sapiens). The binding energies were −7.52, −9.41, −9.51, −8.09, −10.04, and −8.05 kcal/mol for HL and the Co, Ni, Cu, Sm, and Gd complexes, respectively, which suggests the enhancement of anti-inflammatory behaviors compared with the binding energy of ibuprofen (−5.38 kcal/mol). The anti-inflammatory properties of the new compounds were assessed in vitro using the western blot analysis method and the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), consistent with the outcomes obtained from docking. The half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values are 4.9, 1.7, 3.7, 5.6, 2.9, and 2.3 µM for HL and the Co, Ni, Cu, Sm, and Gd complexes, respectively, showing that they are more effective inhibitors of COX2 than ibuprofen (IC50 = 31.4 µM). The brain or intestinal estimated permeation method (BOILED-Egg) showed that HL and its Co complex have high gastrointestinal absorption, while only the free ligand has high brain penetration. The binding constants of Co, Cu, and Gd complexes with DNA were recorded as 2.20 × 104, 2.27 × 106, and 4.46 × 103 M−1, respectively, indicating the intercalator behavior of interaction. The newly synthesized ibuprofen derivative and its metal complexes showed greater anti-inflammatory activity than ibuprofen.  相似文献

Tin (Sn)-based oxides have been proved to be promising catalysts for the electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction (CO2RR) to formate (HCOO). However, their performance is limited by their reductive transformation into metallic derivatives during the cathodic reaction. This paper describes the catalytic chemistry of a Sr2SnO4 electrocatalyst with a Ruddlesden–Popper (RP) perovskite structure for the CO2RR. The Sr2SnO4 electrocatalyst exhibits a faradaic efficiency of 83.7% for HCOO at −1.08 V vs. the reversible hydrogen electrode with stability for over 24 h. The insertion of the SrO-layer in the RP structure of Sr2SnO4 leads to a change in the filling status of the anti-bonding orbitals of the Sn active sites, which optimizes the binding energy of *OCHO and results in high selectivity for HCOO. At the same time, the interlayer interaction between interfacial octahedral layers and the SrO-layers makes the crystalline structure stable during the CO2RR. This study would provide fundamental guidelines for the exploration of perovskite-based electrocatalysts to achieve consistently high selectivity in the CO2RR.

This paper describes how the insertion of a SrO-layer in Ruddlesden–Popper Sr2SnO4 perovskite electrocatalysts promotes CO2 reduction towards formate via *OCHO intermediate. A faradaic efficiency of 83.7% and stability for over 24 h were obtained.  相似文献

A pair of cobalt(II)-based hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks (HOFs), [Co(pca)2(bmimb)]n (1) and [Co2(pca)4(bimb)2] (2), where Hpca = p-chlorobenzoic acid, bmimb = 1,3-bis((2-methylimidazol-1-yl)methyl)benzene, and bimb = 1,4-bis(imidazol-1-ylmethyl)benzene were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized through infrared spectroscopy (IR), elemental and thermal analysis (EA), power X-ray diffraction (PXRD), and single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SCXRD) analyses. X-ray diffraction structural analysis revealed that 1 has a one-dimensional (1D) infinite chain network through the deprotonated pca monodentate chelation and with a μ2-bmimb bridge Co(II) atom, and 2 is a binuclear Co(II) complex construction with a pair of symmetry-related pca and bimb ligands. For both 1 and 2, each cobalt atom has four coordinated twisted tetrahedral configurations with a N2O2 donor set. Then, 1 and 2 are further extended into three-dimensional (3D) or two-dimensional (2D) hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks through C–H···Cl interactions. Topologically, HOFs 1 and 2 can be simplified as a 4-connected qtz topology with a Schläfli symbol {64·82} and a 4-connected sql topology with a Schläfli symbol {44·62}, respectively. The fluorescent sensing application of 1 was investigated; 1 exhibits high sensitivity recognition for Fe3+ (Ksv: 10970 M−1 and detection limit: 19 μM) and Cr2O72− (Ksv: 12960 M−1 and detection limit: 20 μM). This work provides a feasible detection platform of HOFs for highly sensitive discrimination of Fe3+ and Cr2O72− in aqueous media.  相似文献

A new pyclen-3,9-diacetate derivative ligand (H23,9-OPC2A) was synthesized possessing an etheric O-atom opposite to the pyridine ring, to improve the dissociation kinetics of its Mn(II) complex (pyclen = 3,6,9,15-tetraazabicyclo(9.3.1)pentadeca-1(15),11,13-triene). The new ligand is less basic than the N-containing analogue (H23,9-PC2A) due to the non-protonable O-atom. In spite of its lower basicity, the conditional stability of the [Mn(3,9-OPC2A)] (pMn = −log(Mn(II)), cL = cMn(II) = 0.01 mM. pH = 7.4) remains unaffected (pMn = 8.69), compared to the [Mn(3,9-PC2A)] (pMn = 8.64). The [Mn(3,9-OPC2A)] possesses one water molecule, having a lower exchange rate with bulk solvents (kex298 = 5.3 ± 0.4 × 107 s−1) than [Mn(3,9-PC2A)] (kex298 = 1.26 × 108 s−1). These mild differences are rationalized by density-functional theory (DFT) calculations. The acid assisted dissociation of [Mn(3,9-OPC2A)] is considerably slower (k1 = 2.81 ± 0.07 M−1 s−1) than that of the complexes of diacetates or bisamides of various 12-membered macrocycles and the parent H23,9-PC2A. The [Mn(3,9-OPC2A)] is inert in rat/human serum as confirmed by 52Mn labeling (nM range), as well as by relaxometry (mM range). However, a 600-fold excess of EDTA (pH = 7.4) or a mixture of essential metal ions, propagated some transchelation/transmetalation in 7 days. The H23,9-OPC2A is labeled efficiently with 52Mn at elevated temperatures, yet at 37 °C the parent H23,9-PC2A performs slightly better. Ultimately, the H23,9-OPC2A shows advantageous features for further ligand designs for bifunctional chelators.  相似文献

In this study, the facile synthesis of SnO2 quantum dot (QD)-garnished V2O5 nanobelts exhibiting significantly enhanced reversible capacity and outstanding cyclic stability for Li+ storage was achieved. Electrochemical impedance analysis revealed strong charge transfer kinetics related to that of V2O5 nanobelts. The SnO2 QD-garnished V2O5 nanobelts exhibited the highest discharge capacity of ca. 760 mAhg−1 at a density of 441 mAg−1 between the voltage ranges of 0.0 to 3.0 V, while the pristine V2O5 nanobelts samples recorded a discharge capacity of ca. 403 mAhg−1. The high capacity of QD-garnished nanobelts was achieved as an outcome of their huge surface area of 50.49 m2g−1 and improved electronic conductivity. Therefore, the as-presented SnO2 QD-garnished V2O5 nanobelts synthesis strategy could produce an ideal material for application in high-performance Li-ion batteries.  相似文献

Electrocatalytic CO2 reduction is a possible solution to the increasing CO2 concentration in the earth’s atmosphere, because it enables storage of energy while using the harmful CO2 feedstock as a starting material. Notably, iron(ii) tetraphenylporphyrin, [FeII(TPP)]0 (TPP2− = tetraphenylporphyrin tetra-anion diradical), and its derivatives have been established as one of the most promising families of homogeneous catalysts for CO2 reduction into CO. Our earlier work has demonstrated that [Fe(TPP)]2−, a catalytically active species, is best described as an Fe(ii) center antiferromagnetically coupled with a TPP4− diradical. In fact, [Fe(TPP)]2− represents a prototypical example of a diverse array of highly efficient molecular catalysts that feature non-innocent ligands. To obtain valuable insights for future catalyst design, their outstanding catalytic performance warrants an investigation aimed at elucidating the role played by the ligand non-innocence in the reaction. To this end, the reactivity of [Fe(TPP)]2− was first investigated in detail by using density functional theory calculations, and the theoretical results were then validated by reproducing available experimental kinetic and thermodynamic data. Further in-depth analyses pinpointed the electronic-structure feature of the non-innocent TPP ligand that is responsible for the high efficiency of the reaction. Finally, we analyzed the electronic-structure evolution found for the reactions catalyzed by ten related representative non-innocent systems. Our results revealed that for the reactions under consideration, the reducing equivalents are stored on the non-innocent ligand, while CO2 functionalization takes place at the metal center. Therefore, all of the transformations invariably entail two synchronized electron-transfer events: (1) a metal-to-CO2 transfer and (2) a ligand-to-metal electron transfer. The former is affected by σ-donation from the metal dz2 orbital to the CO2 orbital, and the latter is facilitated by orbital coupling between the ligand and the metal center. Our results suggested that ligand non-innocence plays a fundamental role in stabilizing highly active intermediates while realizing high product selectivity for CO2 reduction and that the metal–ligand cooperativity is essential to the high reaction kinetics. On the basis of these findings, we proposed fundamental requirements for design of catalysts with non-innocent ligands.

This computational study elucidates the role played by ligand non-innocence in CO2 reduction on the basis of analyses of electronic structure evolution of highly efficient iron-tetraphenylporphyrin and ten other transition metal complexes, all bearing non-innocent ligands.  相似文献

CrCl3(thf)3 is a common starting material in the synthesis of organometallic and coordination compounds of Cr. Deposited as an irregular solid with no possibility of recrystallization, it is not a purity guaranteed chemical, causing problems in some cases. In this work, we disclose a well-defined form of the THF adduct of CrCl3 ([CrCl2(μ-Cl)(thf)2]2), a crystalline solid, that enables structure determination by X-ray crystallography. The EA data and XRD pattern of the bulk agreed with the revealed structure. Moreover, its preparation procedure is facile: evacuation of CrCl3·6H2O at 100 °C, treatment with 6 equivalents of Me3SiCl in a minimal amount of THF, and crystallization from CH2Cl2. The ethylene tetramerization catalyst [iPrN{P(C6H4-p-Si(nBu)3)2}2CrCl2]+[B(C6F5)4] prepared using well-defined [CrCl2(μ-Cl)(thf)2]2 as a starting material exhibited a reliably high activity (6600 kg/g-Cr/h; 1-octene selectivity at 40 °C, 75%), while that of the one prepared using the impure CrCl3(thf)3 was inconsistent and relatively low (~3000 kg/g-Cr/h). By using well-defined [CrCl2(μ-Cl)(thf)2]2 as a Cr source, single crystals of [(CH3CN)4CrCl2]+[B(C6F5)4] and [{Et(Cl)Al(N(iPr)2)2}Cr(μ-Cl)]2 were obtained, allowing structure determination by X-ray crystallography, which had been unsuccessful when the previously known CrCl3(thf)3 was used as the Cr source.  相似文献
