Let Ω be a bounded open subset of R ⁿ; with every measurable subset A of Ω is associated the real number En(A), related to capacity (for electrostatic problems) or to heat flux (for problems of thermal conduction). One investigates the minimization of En(A) when the measure of A is imposed. Penalty methods allows one to apply some techniques of convex analysis.

Sur un théorème de Castelnuovo

We continue the study of G. Castelnuovo on the group of birational transformations of the complex plane that fix each point of a curve of genus > 1 ; we use adjoint linear system of the curve as Castelnuovo does. We prove that these groups are abelian, and that these are either finite, of order 2 or 3, or conjuguate to a subgroup of the de Jonquières group. We show also that these results do not generalise to curves of genus ≤ 1. *Partiellement soutenu par le CNPq-Brasil et la Section de Mathématiques de l'Université de Genève.

Sur un modèle markovien rudimentaire de diffusion atomique

We introduce and study an interacting particle system. The evolution is Markovian. The elementary step of the dynamics is the following: one point is randomly chosen in the ambient space, the nearest particle moves to that point. Sur un theoreme de separation des matroïdes orientes de rang trois

We prove a separation theorem for oriented matroids of rank 3. We give short combinatorial proofs of Carathéodory's theorem for arrangements of pseudohyperplanes and Kirchberger's theorem for arrangements of pseudolines.     

Sur la R-équivalence de torseurs sous un groupe fini

We give criteria for R-equivalence of torsors under finite constant group schemes over a field. In particular, using bitorsors, we obtain a Galois dévissage result which formalises and generalises a theorem of Philippe Gille in the case of local fields; for instance, Gille's theorem is shown to extend to higher local fields.
