Let L be a relatively free nilpotent Lie algebra over ? of rank n and class c, with n ≥ 2; freely generated by a set 𝒵. Give L the structure of a group, denoted by R, by means of the Baker–Campbell–Hausdorff formula. Let G be the subgroup of R generated by the set 𝒵 and N Aut(L)(G) the normalizer in Aut(L) of the set G. We prove that the automorphism group of L is generated by GL n (?) and N Aut(L)(G). Let H be a subgroup of finite index in Aut(G) generated by the tame automorphisms and a finite subset X of IA-automorphisms with cardinal s. We construct a set Y consisting of s + 1 IA-automorphisms of L such that Aut(L) is generated by GL n (?) and Y. We apply this particular method to construct generating sets for the automorphism groups of certain relatively free nilpotent Lie algebras.  相似文献

We study representations of the Loop Kac-Moody Lie algebra 𝔤 ?A, where 𝔤 is any Kac-Moody algebra and A is a ring of Laurent polynomials in n commuting variables. In particular, we study representations with finite dimensional weight spaces and their graded versions. When we specialize 𝔤 to be a finite dimensional or affine Lie algebra we obtain modules for toroidal Lie algebras.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to construct quotient algebras L(A)1C/I(A) of complex degenerate composition Lie algebras L(A)1C by some ideals, where L(A)1C is defined via Hall algebras of tubular algebras A, and to prove that the quotient algebras L(A)1C/I(A) are isomorphic to the corresponding affine Kac-Moody algebras. Moreover, it is shown that the Lie algebra Lre(A)1C generated by A-modules with a real root coincides with the degenerate composition Lie algebra L(A)1C generated by simple A-modules.  相似文献

A nonassociative algebra is defined to be zeropotent if the square of any element is zero. Zeropotent algebras are exactly the same as anticommutative algebras when the characteristic of the ground field is not two. The class of zeropotent algebras properly contains that of Lie algebras. In this paper, we give a complete classification of three-dimensional zeropotent algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic not equal to two. By restricting the result to the subclass of Lie algebras, we can obtain a classification of three-dimensional complex Lie algebras, which is in accordance with the conventional one.  相似文献

We improve the conclusion in Khukhro's theorem stating that a Lie ring (algebra) L admitting an automorphism of prime order p with finitely many m fixed points (with finite-dimensional fixed-point subalgebra of dimension m) has a subring (subalgebra) H of nilpotency class bounded by a function of p such that the index of the additive subgroup |L: H| (the codimension of H) is bounded by a function of m and p. We prove that there exists an ideal, rather than merely a subring (subalgebra), of nilpotency class bounded in terms of p and of index (codimension) bounded in terms of m and p. The proof is based on the method of generalized, or graded, centralizers which was originally suggested in [E. I. Khukhro, Math. USSR Sbornik 71 (1992) 51–63]. An important precursor is a joint theorem of the author and E. I. Khukhro on almost solubility of Lie rings (algebras) with almost regular automorphisms of finite order.  相似文献

The main result of the article is as follows: If a nilpotent noncommutative metric Lie algebra (n, Q) is such that the operator Id ? trace(Ric) / trace(Ric2) Ric is positive definite then every Einstein solvable extension of (n, Q) is standard. A subalgebra B of a Lie algebra L is called a c-ideal of L if there is an ideal C of L such that L = B + C and BC ≤ B L , where B L is the largest ideal of L contained in B. This is analogous to the concept of c-normal subgroup, which has been studied by a number of authors. We obtain some properties of c-ideals and use them to give some characterisations of solvable and supersolvable Lie algebras. We also classify those Lie algebras in which every one-dimensional subalgebra is a c-ideal.  相似文献

In this article we give a new technique for exponentiating infinite dimensional graded representations of graded Lie algebras that allows for the exponentiation of some non-locally nilpotent elements. Our technique is to naturally extend the representation of the Lie algebra g on the space V naturally to a representation on a subspace £ of the dual space V *. After introducing the technique, we prove that it enables the exponentiation of all elements of free Lie Algebras and afhne Kac-Moody Lie algebras.  相似文献

In this paper we use cohomology of Lie algebras to study the variety of laws associated with filiform Lie algebras of a given dimension. As the main result, we describe a constructive way to find a small set of polynomials which define this variety. It allows to improve previous results related with the cardinal of this set. We have also computed explicitly these polynomials in the case of dimensions 11 and 12.  相似文献

In [1], the second de Rham cohomology groups of nilpotent orbits in all the complex simple Lie algebras are described. In this paper we consider non-compact non-complex exceptional Lie algebras, and compute the dimensions of the second cohomology groups for most of the nilpotent orbits. For the rest of cases of nilpotent orbits, which are not covered in the above computations, we obtain upper bounds for the dimensions of the second cohomology groups.  相似文献
