The definition of the inverse along an element was very recently introduced, and it contains known generalized inverses such as the group, Drazin and Moore–Penrose inverses. In this article, we first prove a simple existence criterion for this inverse in a semigroup, and then relate the existence of such an inverse in a ring to the ring units.  相似文献

In this paper we study the global boundedness of solutions to the fully parabolic attraction–repulsion chemotaxis system with logistic source: ut=Δu?χ??(u?v)+ξ??(u?w)+f(u), vt=Δv?βv+αu, wt=Δw?δw+γu, subject to homogeneous Neumann boundary conditions in a bounded and smooth domain Ω?Rn (n1), where χ, α, ξ, γ, β and δ are positive constants, and f:RR is a smooth function generalizing the logistic source f(s)=a?bsθ for all s0 with a0, b>0 and θ1. It is shown that when the repulsion cancels the attraction (i.e. χα=ξγ), the solution is globally bounded if n3, or θ>θn:=min?{n+24,nn2+6n+17?n2?3n+44} with n2. Therefore, due to the inhibition of repulsion to the attraction, in any spatial dimension, the exponent θ is allowed to take values less than 2 such that the solution is uniformly bounded in time.  相似文献

Let τ be a faithful normal semifinite trace on a von Neumann algebra. We establish the Leibniz criterion for sign-alternating series of τ-measurable operators and present an analogue of the criterion of series “sandwich” series for τ-measurable operators. We prove a refinement of this criterion for the τ-compact case. In terms of measure convergence topology, the criterion of τ-compactness of an arbitrary τ-measurable operator is established. We also give a sufficient condition of 1) τ-compactness of the commutator of a τ-measurable operator and a projection; 2) convergence of τ-measurable operator and projection commutator sequences to the zero operator in the measure τ.

For semiprime involution rings, we determine some ∗-minimal ∗-ideals using idempotent elements. Nevertheless, ∗-minimal ∗-biideals are characterized by idempotent elements. Moreover, the involutive version of a theorem due to Steinfeld, which investigates a semiprime involution ring A if A=SocA, is given. Finally, semiprime involution rings having no proper nonzero ∗-biideals are characterized.  相似文献

Let R?X? be the power series ring over a commutative ring R with identity. For fR?X?, let Af denote the content ideal of f, i.e., the ideal of R generated by the coefficients of f. We show that if R is a Prüfer domain and if gR?X? such that Ag is locally finitely generated (or equivalently locally principal), then a Dedekind–Mertens type formula holds for g, namely Af2Ag=AfAfg for all fR?X?. More generally for a Prüfer domain R, we prove the content formula (AfAg)2=(AfAg)Afg for all f,gR?X?. As a consequence it is shown that an integral domain R is completely integrally closed if and only if (AfAg)v=(Afg)v for all nonzero f,gR?X?, which is a beautiful result corresponding to the well-known fact that an integral domain R is integrally closed if and only if (AfAg)v=(Afg)v for all nonzero f,gR[X], where R[X] is the polynomial ring over R.For a ring R and gR?X?, if Ag is not locally finitely generated, then there may be no positive integer k such that Afk+1Ag=AfkAfg for all fR?X?. Assuming that the locally minimal number of generators of Ag is k+1, Epstein and Shapiro posed a question about the validation of the formula Afk+1Ag=AfkAfg for all fR?X?. We give a negative answer to this question and show that the finiteness of the locally minimal number of special generators of Ag is in fact a more suitable assumption. More precisely we prove that if the locally minimal number of special generators of Ag is k+1, then Afk+1Ag=AfkAfg for all fR?X?. As a consequence we show that if Ag is finitely generated (in particular if gR[X]), then there exists a nonnegative integer k such that Afk+1Ag=AfkAfg for all fR?X?.  相似文献

In this article we study the existence of range projections in rings with involution, relating it to the existence of the Moore–Penrose inverse. The results are applied to the solution of the equation xbx?=?x in rings with involution, extending the results of Greville for matrices. M-cross-validation criterion is proposed for selecting a smoothing parameter in a nonparametric median regression model in which a uniform weak convergency rate for the M-cross-validated local median estimate, and the upper and lower bounds of the smoothing parameter selected by the proposed criterion are established. The main contribution of this study shows a drastic difference from those encountered in the classical L2-, L1- cross-validation technique, which leads only to the consistency in the sense of the average. Obviously, our results are novel and nontrivial from the point of view of mathematics and statistics, which provides insight and possibility for practitioners substituting maximum deviation for average deviation to evaluate the performance of the data-driven technique.  相似文献

We perform a comparative analysis of different forms of pertubative expansions in spacelike and timelike regions. In the context of the inclusive -lepton decay, we compare the results obtained using the standard perturbation theory and the Shirkov–Solovtsov analytic approach, which modifies the perturbative expansions such that the new approximations reflect basic principles of the theory, such as renormalization invariance, spectrality, and causality. We show the advantages and self-consistency of the analytic approach in describing the -lepton decay.  相似文献

Skew polynomials are a noncommutative generalization of ordinary polynomials that, in recent years, have found applications in coding theory and cryptography. Viewed as functions, skew polynomials have a well-defined evaluation map; however, little is known about skew-polynomial interpolation. In this work, we apply Kötter’s interpolation framework to free modules over skew polynomial rings. As a special case, we introduce a simple interpolation algorithm akin to Newton interpolation for ordinary polynomials.  相似文献
