The methods for determining the nonaxisymmetric thermoelastoplastic stress-strain state of layered orthotropic shells of revolution are developed. It is assumed that the layered package deforms without mutual slippage or separation of layers. The problem is solved using the geometrically nonlinear theory of shells based on the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses. In the isotropic layers, plastic deformations may appear, whereas the orthotropic layers deform in the elastic region. It is assumed that the mechanical properties of the materials are temperature-dependent. The thermoplasticity equations are presented in a form corresponding to the method of additional deformations. The order of the system of partial differential equations obtained is reduced with the help of trigonometric series in the circumferential coordinate. The resulting systems of ordinary differential equations are solved by the Godunov technique of discrete orthogonalization. The nonaxisymmetric thermoelastoplastic stress-strain states of layered shells of revolution are considered as examples.  相似文献

The studies on the long-term stability of composite plates and shells under limited creep carried out mainly by the research associates of the Institute of Polymer Mechanics are reviewed. The statement of the stability problems is discussed, according to which a viscoelastic structural member can be regarded as stable if a disturbance in the form of a small initial deflection asymptotically tends with time to a small constant value. In the case of stability, as evidenced by experiments, the increase in the axisymmetric components of the initial deflection, dominating in the early stage, die down with time. On the contrary, the amplitudes of nonaxisymmetric initial imperfections grow at an increasing velocity. Analytical investigations show that the initial imperfections, when expanded into Fourier series, have a spectrum of short- and long-term critical forces. The deflection components having a critical force exceeding the external load are damped out, whereas those having a smaller critical force increase infinitely. The accelerated growth in the deflection, after a time, leads to transient buckling of the shell into a new stable equilibrium form. The problems of optimization of the structure and geometry of thin-walled composite constructions, with constraints on their long-term stability and critical time, are discussed.  相似文献

The method of reliable solutions alias the worst scenario method is applied to the problem of von Karman equations with uncertain initial deflection. Assuming two-mode initial and total deflections and using Galerkin approximations, the analysis leads to a system of two nonlinear algebraic equations with one or two uncertain parameters-amplitudes of initial deflections. Numerical examples involve (i) minimization of lower buckling loads and (ii) maximization of the maximal mean reduced stress.  相似文献

A variant of the refined geometric nonlinear theory is suggested for nonshallow shells with a transversely soft core of medium thickness with regard to modifications of metric characteristics across the core thickness. The kinematic relations for the core are derived by sequential integration of the initial three-dimensional equations of elasticity theory along the transverse coordinate. The equations are preliminarily simplified by the assumption that the tangential stress components are equal to zero. With the example of sandwich plates, it is shown that these equations allow us to investigate synphasic, antiphasic, mixed flexural, and mixed flexural-shear buckling forms of load-bearing layers and the core depending on the precritical stress-strain state. In this paper we present a unified approach to obtain integral representation formulas for describing the propagation of bending waves in infinite plates. The general anisotropic case is included and both new and well-known formulas are obtained in special cases (e.g. the classical Boussinesq formula). The formulas we have derived have been compared with experimental data and the coincidence is very good in all cases.  相似文献

Summary. We study the F?ppl—von Kármán theory for isotropically compressed thin plates in a geometrically linear setting, which is commonly used to model weak buckling of thin films. We consider generic smooth domains with clamped boundary conditions, and obtain rigorous upper and lower bounds on the minimum energy linear in the plate thickness σ . This energy is much lower than previous estimates based on certain dimensional reductions of the problem, which had lead to energies of order 1+σ (scalar approximation) or σ 2/3 (two-component approximation). The stress analysis based on the theory of a thin shell is carried out for cylindrical shells with normally intersecting nozzles subjected to external moment loads on the ends of shells with a large diameter ratio 0 «0. 8). Instead of the Donnell shallow shell equation, the modified Morley equation, which is applicable toρ 0(R/T)1/2 »1, is used for the analysis of the shell with cutout. The solution in terms of displacement function for the nozzle with a nonplanar end is based on the Goldenveizer equation. The boundary forces and displacements at the intersection are all transformed from Gaussian coordinates (α, β) on the shell, or Gaussian coordinates (ζ, θ) on the nozzle into three-di-mensional cylindrical coordinates(ρ,θ, z). Their expressions on the intersecting curve are periodic functions ofθ and expanded in Fourier series. Every harmonic of Fourier coefficients of boundary forces and displacements are obtained by numerical quadrature. The results obtained are in agreement with those from the three-dimensional finite element method and experiments.  相似文献

The possibility of applying the mechanicomathematical model of bending of a package of transversely isotropic plates to approximate calculations of thick plates is investigated. Within the frame work of this model, the problem of axisymmetric bending of a package of two identical plates with simply supported edges is considered. The conditions of rigid contact are given between the plates. Based on the analytical result obtained, the unknown distribution of stresses and displacements across the thickness of the plate is approximated by the distribution of corresponding parameters in the package of two plates. For an isotropic body, the results of numerical calculations are compared with those given by the 3D theory of elasticity. In the case of a transversely isotropic body, a comparison with the results found by the refined bending model of plates (taking into account the transverse compression and shear) and the Timoshenko model is carried out.
