The effect of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) in membrane formation and separation properties has been investigated in polysulfone(PSU)/SPEEK/N-methyl-2-pyrrolidinone (NMP) systems. Charged ultrafiltration/nanofiltration membranes were obtained reliably in the range of 0.5–5 wt.% SPEEK in the polymer blend. All PSU/SPEEK blend membranes had substantially higher water flux, salt rejection, porosity and greatly reduced particle adhesion compared to the PSU base membrane. Further, all of these properties varied systematically with variation of SPEEK content. Reproducibility and stability of the membrane properties was excellent. Pore sizes determined from dextran retention data and AFM measurements showed reasonable agreement. Membranes with 5 wt.% SPEEK demonstrated excellent overall properties. Such membranes had very high permeability, 22.6±1.6×10−11 m3 s−1 N−1, 0.999 fractional rejection of 4000 Da dextran, 0.65 rejection of 0.001 M NaCl, and only 0.75 mN m−1 adhesion of a 4 μm silica particle. Such membranes are very promising for scale-up of production and testing on real process streams.  相似文献

The asymmetric synthesis of an acyclic anti-β-alkoxy ether was achieved by the Ireland-Claisen rearrangement of Z-3-alkoxy-2-propenyl glycolate ester, prepared from Garner’s aldehyde, a glycolic acid derivative, and ethynyl N,N-diisopropylcarbamate. The resulting acyclic ether was facilely converted to seven- and eight-membered cyclic ethers via processes involving ring-closing olefin metatheses.  相似文献

Perfluoroalkylated glycerol (5, 9) and crown ethers (22, 23, 24) were synthesized starting from glycerol. 5 was synthesized by allylation of glycerol 1,2-acetonide followed by perflu-oroalkylation initiated with sodium dithionite, reduction of iodide and hydrolysis in good overall yield and was shown to poccess good surface activities. Glycerol bis-ether (9) was synthesized in a similar way. Allyloxymethyl crown ethers (15, 16, 18) were prepared as key intermediates through multi-step reactions, which were then perfluoroalkylated to give the title crown ethers 22, 23 ,24.  相似文献

Sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone ketone)(SPEEKK) membranes with different degrees of sulfonation(DS) were successfully prepared via electrospinning method. The morphology of the resulted membranes varies from nanospheres to nanofibers with increasing the concentration of SPEEKK. The present paper gives an overview of the properties and performance of membranes of a poly(ether ether ketone) derivative with a cardo group in the chain, known in the literature as PEEKWC or PEK-C. This is one of the typical examples of a new polymer, emerged in the last two decades, with the potential to be applied as a membrane material in a wide range of application fields. Due to the presence of the cardo group in the backbone, the polymer is soluble in several common organic solvents, in contrast to the traditional poly(ether ketone) (PEK) and poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK). It is therefore more versatile and its solubility allows the use of nonsolvent-induced phase inversion techniques to prepare membranes with a wide range of different morphologies and transport characteristics. The present review will show the current state of the art and will testify that PEEKWC offers interesting perspectives in especially the fields of gas separation, biomedical applications and—in its sulfonated form-in fuel cells. Examples of successful application in microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, pervaporation, membrane contactors, catalytic membranes and some other applications, such as packaging and molecular imprinting will also be shown.  相似文献

Sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK)–silica membranes doped with phosphotungstic acid (PWA) are presented. The silica is generated in situ via the water free sol–gel process of polyethoxysiloxane (PEOS), a liquid hyperbranched inorganic polymer of low viscosity. At 100 °C and 90% RH the membrane prepared with PEOS (silica content = 20 wt%) shows two times higher conductivity than the pure SPEEK. The addition of small amounts of PWA (2 wt% of the total solid content) introduced in the early stage of membrane preparation brings to a further increase in conductivity (more than three times the pure SPEEK). During membrane formation PWA and the sulfonic acid groups of SPEEK act as catalysts in the conversion of PEOS in silica. Once the membranes are formed, PWA is incorporated in the silica network and acts as proton conductivity enhancer. The correlation between morphology and proton conductivity allows establishing the optimal doping level and preparation procedure. The morphology is studied by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) while the proton conductivity is measured by impedance spectroscopy (IS). The direct methanol fuel cell performance is also investigated.  相似文献

A series of six surfactants, each with two ether oxygens within otherwise all-hydrocarbon chains, were synthesized and examined for their colloidal properties. Since an ether oxygen is sterically and conformationally similar to the methylene group it has replaced, the ether effect on micellization should stem mainly from solvation of the oxygen and, possibly, disrupted hydrophobicity of its adjacent carbons. It was found that critical aggregation values among the surfactants differ only modestly despite the total length of the ether-separated carbon segments ranging from 12 to 18. Shorter ether surfactants with only 12 or 14 total carbons appear to form small, loose aggregates owing, presumably, to a mild hydrophilicity of the ether groups. A surfactant with 18 chain carbons has a greater tendency to associate hydrophobically, but this is counterbalanced by a relatively water-free environment encountered by the ether groups within a more conventional micelle interior. The result is a leveling effect in which the critical aggregation concentration (cac) loses it sensitivity to chain length. Above their cac's, none of the ether surfactants is a good solubilizer of tetramethysilane or mesitylene. This is not necessarily a predictable finding since it was conceivable that the presence of interior ether groups might actually enhance solubilization (much as ether is a better solvent than hexane). Foamability and solid adsorption studies also indicate that the ethers impair surface activity. In response to the question posed in the paper's title, two ether groups are not sufficiently hydrophilic to prevent aggregation, but they do manage to alter the micelles' morphology and properties considerably.  相似文献

In this study, effects of humic acids (HA) and microorganisms on the migration of hydrophobic organic contaminants (HOCs), decabromodiphenyl ether (BDE-209), 4,4′-dibromodiphenyl ether (BDE-15) and anthracene, in soils were examined. Lithium-ion batteries (LIBs)have attracted wide attention because of their broad prospects in electric vehicles. However,the safety problems and low multiplier performance of the commercial polyolefin separator limit their further development,due to the poor dimensional thermal stability and low electrolyte absorption rate. Poly(ether ether ketone)(PEEK)and carbon nanotube(CNT)are compounded to coat on polypropylene (PP) to prepare Janus composite separator (PP@C) through the phase inversion method. PP@C composite separator does not deform at 180 ℃ for 0. 5 h(only slight deformation),illustrating excellent thermal stability. The electrolyte absorption rate of PP@C2 is 193. 8%. The electrolyte uptake rate of the PP@C2 composite membrane was 193. 8%,which was 64. 5% higher than the PP membrane,showing a superduper electrolyte permeability. As a result,the specific discharge capacity of LIBs assembled with PP@C2 composite separator is 157. 6 mA·h/g at 0. 2 C and 129. 8 mA·h/g at 2 C,showing good rate performance with the capacity recovery rate of more than 99%. This might be attributed to the ultra-high thermal stability of PEEK,the good affinity of the electrolyte,the high conductivity of CNT,as well as the uniform dispersion of Li+ ,so that the separator can have excellent electrochemical performance while improving safety. © 2022, Science Press (China). Taking hydrocarbon as gerneratrix, the differences of enthalpies of formation of ether and their corresponding generatrixes were compared and concluded and the equation to estimate ether’s enthalpy of formation, which was Δf H e°/(kJ/mol) = Kf H m − 90 + A) was obtained. The results can be elucidated with bond dissociation energies data, bond-enthalpy of formation method, induction effect and conjugative effect. The more essential account to explain the results can be got by using quantum chemistry theories, etc. Using replacement and comparison method, the way of estimation of organic compounds’ thermodynamic properties including enthalpy of formation can be obtained either. β-N-carbazolyl ethyl vinyl ether, a monomer having the carbazolyl substituent at a distance from the vinyl group, was submitted to electro-initiated polymerization. Polymers with ηred = 0.015–0.07 dlg−1 were obtained in the anodic compartment of a two compartment cell. The i.r., NMR and u.v. spectra show structural characteristics similar to those obtained by conventional cationic polymerization of the monomer but also some peculiarities associated with the conditions of electrochemical synthesis.  相似文献

The decomposition of tert-butyl hydroperoxide in a chlorobenzene medium in the presence of complexes of dibenzo-18-crown-6 with calcium, strontium, and barium chlorides has been studied. It has been found and kinetically proven that the decomposition of tert-butyl hydroperoxide is preceded by the formation of an intermediate hydroperoxide–catalyst complex.
