Collinear acousto–optic interaction of light beams near the optical axes of biaxial crystals, including gyrotropic ones, is considered. Efficient acousto–optic transformation of fast and slow light beams under the conditions of internal conical refraction has been revealed. It is shown that the width of the transmission band and the central frequency of ultrasound in collinear acousto–optic filtration in a nongyrotropic crystal are determined by the angle at the apex of the cone of wave vectors (by the anisotropy of the crystal) and in a gyrotropic one by the projection of the gyration vector onto the direction of the optical axis. 相似文献

环形光束的锥形衍射效应对于微粒的操控具有重要的应用价值.本文建立了环状高斯光束的锥形衍射模型,并基于Berry理论给出了线偏振态下环形光束锥形衍射出射光场的计算公式.理论仿真了环状光锥形衍射出射光场的偏振特性,得出环光锥形衍射出射光场的内、外亮环具有相互正交的偏振分布特性.搭建了线偏振态下环状高斯光锥形衍射的实验系统,实验验证了出射光场的偏振特性.针对环形光束锥形衍射出射光场具备的偏振特性,设计了一种组合偏振片,理论和实验研究了该组合偏振片对环光锥形衍射出射光场的调控.结果表明,随着组合偏振片方位角的变化,锥形衍射出射光场的内、外环强度发生周期性的变化. 相似文献

As was shown previously, in propagation of a circularly polarized Bessel light beam along the optical axes of a biaxial crystal, there takes place the conversion of the order of Bessel function. In this paper, a new result is presented which is obtained by varying the polarization state of an input beam. Namely, a linearly polarized beam can be transformed into a beam with the radial or azimuthal polarization state. At that the order-transformation also occurs. The switching between radial and azimuthal polarization states of the output beam is performed by the proper switching between two orthogonal linear polarization states of the input beam. The efficiency of polarization conversion is high and can be practically full at an appropriate choice of the cone angle of the input beam or crystal length. 相似文献

晶体会聚偏光干涉图包含了晶体特性的许多信息,建立偏光干涉图的定量分析方法可以使这些信息得到充分利用。基于双轴晶体折射时满足的波矢关系,导出了两折射光波相位差的精确计算公式。分析了光波在各界面折射时偏振态的变化,提出了会聚偏光干涉合成振幅的计算方法。针对任意取向的双轴晶体,计算了完整的偏光干涉图,反映了相位分布决定等色线、振幅分布决定消光影的规律。用数字图像模似了干涉图,并讨论了干涉图的变化情况。对4块不同取向的KTP晶片进行实验,实验干涉图与理论干涉图的特征完全一致,两者仔细对比可判断现有KTP晶体色散方程的优劣。 相似文献

基于Richards-Wolf矢量衍射积分公式,数值分析了同轴三环非均匀混合偏振矢量光束经过高数值孔径透镜的聚焦特性。该矢量光束由同轴三环局域线偏振矢量光束通过一个相位延迟角为δ的液晶相位延迟器产生,光束偏振变为包含线偏振、圆偏振和椭圆偏振的混合态。同轴三环局域线偏振矢量光束的偏振分布是由径向向内偏振的外环光束、径向向外偏振的内环光束和线偏振方向与径向方向夹角为φ2的中环光束构成。数值模拟结果显示该混合偏振矢量光束的聚焦强度分布与参数φ2和相位延迟角δ密切相关,当选取适当的φ2和δ时,在焦平面附近产生沿光轴方向的三维多点光俘获结构——暗光链,这在光学微操纵领域具有潜在的应用价值。 相似文献

Complex propagation dynamics of higher‐order polarization singularities are investigated within tailored Poincaré beams. Spatial polarization modulation and additional phase vortices of higher strength are combined, evoking polarization singularity splitting, type conversion, creation and annihilation. These phenomena form singularity “explosions” along their longitudinal evolution. These dynamics of propagating customized light fields and embedded singularities are analyzed experimentally and numerically. Furthermore, similarities of polarization singularity explosion and phase vortex unfolding are discussed, exploring fundamental propagation and spatio‐temporal interaction properties of optical singularities. 相似文献

The intensity and polarization pattern of circularly and linearly polarized Gaussian beams transformed by the effect of conical diffraction in a biaxial crystal has been studied experimentally, and compared with the predictions of paraxial theory. 光镊技术被广泛应用在俘获和操纵微纳米尺寸颗粒, 目前被研究学者普遍接受的俘获吸光性颗粒的机理为光泳力. 本文实现了对空气中被俘获的吸光性颗粒的红外显微观测. 当激光器功率为1.0 W时, 成功观测到被俘获墨粉颗粒(直径约7 μm)和甲苯胺蓝颗粒(直径约为1–20 μm)的温升约为14 K, 为光泳力理论提供了强有力的证据. 另外, 首次用可见光显微镜和红外显微镜同时观测到被俘获颗粒的周期振荡现象, 并分析了振荡现象的产生机理.关键词:光镊光俘获红外显微 相似文献

We report on the numerical simulation and fabrication of a two-dimensional flat lens based on negative refraction in photonic
crystals. The slab acting as a lens is made of an hole array (operating at the wavelength of 1.5 μm) etched in a InP/InGaAsP/InP
semiconductor layer. We first study the key issues for the achievement of a negative refractive index taking advantage of
folding of dispersion branches with main emphasis in dispersion properties rather than the opening of forbidden gaps. The
diffraction and refraction regimes are analysed according to the comparison of the wave-vector with respect to the relevant
dimensions of the hole array. In the second stage, we illustrate technological challenges in terms of e-beam lithography on

We investigate linear and nonlinear light propagation in the photonic crystal fibers infiltrated with nematic liquid crystals.
Such a photonic structure, with periodic modulation of refractive index, which could be additionally controlled by the temperature
and by the optical power, allows for the study of discrete optical phenomena. Our theoretical investigations, carried out
with the near infrared wavelength of 830 nm, for both focusing and defocusing Kerr-type nonlinearity, show the possibility
of the transverse light localization, which can result in the discrete soliton generation. In addition, we present the preliminary
experimental results on the linear light propagation in the photonic crystal fiber with the glycerin-water solution and 6CHBT

Angle‐resolved polarized transmission spectra of thin‐film opals are studied experimentally and theoretically as a function of the azimuthal rotation of the plane of incidence at different angles of light incidence. In such 3‐dimensional lattices, the refraction acquires the form of diffraction orders, each with a distinct spectrum, that propagate simultaneously along different directions. The corresponding continuous and patchy stop‐bands in the photonic energy band structure of the opal photonic crystal are determined numerically. For diffraction at high Miller index planes, the diffraction pattern is often distorted due to multiple‐wave diffraction. The finite stacking of hexagonally close‐packed layers leads to an intrinsic 3‐fold rotation symmetry of these spectra, which is particularly pronounced in transmission for frequencies that correspond to wave vectors within the 1st Brillouin zone. Despite the cubic symmetry of the opal lattice, cross‐polarization coupling effects occur in the volume of the opal crystal. These effects are associated with the fact that, the opal eigenmodes are Bloch waves whose electromagnetic field distributions and dispersion relations are markedly different from plane waves. 相似文献

On the basis of the asymmetric velocity tensor introduced we develop an orthogonal representation of wave propagation in anisotropic
magnetic dielectrics. Simple expressions are obtained for the direct dependence of polarization vectors, refractive indices,
and phase and group velocities of isonormal waves in a magnetic dielectric on the vectors of principal velocities. We show
that the presence of magnetic properties is manifested in the optical range in the fact that the velocities of wave propagation
in uniaxial crystals are determined by three main refractive indices, and therefore, both waves except for specific directions
become extraordinary, whereas in biaxial crystals (also because of a large number of parameters) the cones of internal and
external refraction become elliptic.
