提出了一种基于有限宽超声束反射的固-固界面退化特性评价方法,从理论和数值仿真角度进行了分析和计算。将两固体界面间的薄层简化为界面弹簧模型,以界面法向和切向劲度系数表征界面的退化程度。通过数值计算求得有限宽超声纵波束在不同入射角和界面不同退化程度下的反射横波、反射纵波的镜面反射系数。进一步地,通过建立二维有限元模型,仿真研究了有限宽超声纵波束在给定入射角及界面不同退化程度下镜面反射系数的变化规律。结果表明,反射纵波和反射横波的镜面反射系数随有限宽超声纵波束的入射角及界面劲度系数的改变而变化,且存在镜面反射系数随界面劲度系数单调且敏感变化的入射角,据此可准确评价界面的退化程度。  相似文献

This paper studies the elastic waves in non-Newtonian (Maxwell) fluid-saturated porous media with the nonzero boundary slip velocity for pore size distribution. The coefficient bFm(ω) that measures the deviation from Poiseuille flow friction in such media is presented. Based on this coefficient, we investigate the properties of elastic waves by calculating their phase velocities and attenuation coefficients as functions of frequency and the behaviour of the dynamic permeability. The study shows that the pore size distribution removes oscillations in all physical quantities in the non-Newtonian regime. Consideration of the nonzero boundary slip effect in non-Newtonian (Maxwell) fluid-saturated porous media results in (a) an overall increase of the dynamic permeability, (b) an increase of phase velocities of fast Biot waves and shear waves except in the low frequency domain and an overall increase of phase velocity of slow Biot waves and (c) an overall increase of the attenuation of three Biot waves in the intermediate frequency domain except in the deeply non-Newtonian regime. The study also shows that the attenuation coefficient of slow Biot waves is small in the deeply non-Newtonian regime at higher frequency, which encourages us to detect slow Biot waves in oil-saturated porous rock.  相似文献

Analytical expressions defining the reflection coefficients have been derived in the framework of the known problem of elastic wave reflection from the free surface and rigid interface. The found reflection coefficients are used to analyze the dependences of different strain and rotation components during elastic wave reflection from the free surface and rigid interface in the case of ideal contact and possible slip on the wave incidence angle and elastic parameters of the medium. Deformation features of elastic media at the studied interfaces are considered for incident longitudinal and transverse waves.  相似文献

Abstract

实验研究复杂波形结构引起平面界面变形和反射激波冲击下的R-M不稳定性的问题.在竖直激波管中生成稳定的N2/SF6平面界面,激波在圆柱绕射后,冲击平面界面,由此研究复杂激波引起的界面变形.平面激波在圆柱绕射后的流场,演化成具有初始入射波、三波点、弯曲反射波、Mach波和Mach反射产生的滑移线等复杂结构.研究复杂结构激波对界面的作用,对认识界面扰动的生成具有较大帮助.绕柱激波冲击后,平面界面仅在两对滑移线内部发生变形.绕柱激波冲击界面后,两对滑移线将界面分成"内界面"和"外界面",界面变形形态同滑移线和界面相交位置相关.反射激波二次冲击下,界面扰动的增长与Jacobs-Sheeley涡量模型较吻合.   相似文献

Interfacial density fluctuations are studied at the level of the Gaussian model of capillary waves by means of density functional theory. We consider nonrigid fluctuations and arrive at exact Triezenberg-Zwanzig-type expressions for new interfacial coefficients. These include a width tension, a width rigidity, and other coefficients linked to both shape and width distortions. We find for these coefficients magnitudes of the same orders as those of their tangential counterparts. The corresponding capillary-wave model describes the effect of fluctuations when the density is slowly varying, and the recognition of the additional quantities and their roles may help in the understanding of ellipsometric studies near critical points.  相似文献

The method of wave function expansion is adopted to study the three dimensional scattering of a time-harmonic plane progressive sound field obliquely incident upon a multi-layered hollow cylinder with interlaminar bonding imperfection. For the generality of solution, each layer is assumed to be cylindrically orthotropic. An approximate laminate model in the context of the modal state equations with variable coefficients along with the classical T-matrix solution technique is set up for each layer to solve for the unknown modal scattering and transmission coefficients. A linear spring model is used to describe the interlaminar adhesive bonding whose effects are incorporated into the global transfer matrix by introduction of proper interfacial transfer matrices. Following the classic acoustic resonance scattering theory (RST), the scattered field and response to surface waves are determined by constructing the partial waves and obtaining the non-resonance (backgrounds) and resonance components. The solution is first used to investigate the effect of interlayer imperfection of an air-filled and water submerged bilaminate aluminium cylindrical shell on the resonances associated with various modes of wave propagation (i.e., symmetric/asymmetric Lamb waves, fluid-borne A-type waves, Rayleigh and Whispering Gallery waves) appearing in the backscattered spectrum, according to their polarization and state of stress. An illustrative numerical example is also given for a multi-layered (five-layered) cylindrical shell for which the stiffness of the adhesive interlayers is artificially varied. The sensitivity of resonance frequencies associated with higher mode numbers to the stiffness coefficients is demonstrated to be a good measure of the bonding strength. Limiting cases are considered and fair agreements with solutions available in the literature are established.  相似文献

Nanosecond pulsed laser irradiation through transparent epoxy bonded to aluminum substrate excites wide-band ultrasonic waves at the bonded interface. The normal displacements on the rear surface of aluminum produced by the direct and multi-reflected longitudinal waves in the coating layer are detected by a laser interferometer. The amplitude of the reflected signal depends on the properties of the coating/substrate interface, which is described by terms of the interfacial stiffness using a spring boundary model. The waveforms at the epicenter versus interfacial stiffness are simulated and found to be in good agreement with experimental results. The relation between the interfacial stiffness and the amplitude ratio of the reflected and direct waves is thus established. An image of amplitude ratio of a specimen (null 10 mm) is obtained from the epicenter waveforms recorded by a laser ultrasonic scanning system, which shows the distribution of bond quality on the bonding interface.  相似文献

Attenuation of Stoneley waves and higher Lamb modes propagating along an irregular surface of a fluid-filled borehole is investigated. This problem generalizes the problem on the attenuation of Rayleigh waves by an irregular surface of an empty borehole [10]. The technique used to evaluate the attenuation coefficient is based on the perturbation method (surface irregularity heights are considered to be small in comparison with the wavelength) and the mean field method. As a result, an expression is obtained for the partial coefficients of the eigenmode attenuation due to the scattering of eigenmodes by the irregularities of the borehole walls into the same or other eigenmodes, as well as into the bulk longitudinal and transverse waves. The frequency-dependent behavior of the partial attenuation coefficients of both Stoneley waves and higher modes is analyzed against the ratio between the irregularity correlation length and the borehole radius for different correlation functions of irregularities.  相似文献

Reflection and refraction of longitudinal and transverse acoustic waves at a plane boundary between an antiferromagnet and a dielectric are studied. The antiferromagnet is assumed to have an easy-plane anisotropy and to be in the state near the orientational phase transition in the magnetic field. A possibility of controlling the angles of the wave-type transformation upon reflection and the refraction angles, as well as all four coefficients of the wave transformation upon reflection and refraction, by the magnetic field is demonstrated. Conditions for the formation of the critical angles of internal reflection and the effect of the magnetic field on their values are specified. A possibility of the radiation of a grazing wave into the material bulk in the vicinity of the phase transition is analyzed.  相似文献

The reflection and refraction of longitudinal and transverse acoustic waves by the plane interface between an insulator and an easy-plane antiferromagnet undergoing a magnetic-field-induced orientational phase transition are analyzed. The angles of refraction, as well as all four coefficients of wave conversion, can be effectively controlled by varying the field. Conditions for the appearance of the critical angles of internal reflection and the effect of the magnetic field on these angles are considered. A glancing wave radiated into the material is shown to be a possibility near the phase transition.  相似文献

An investigation is made of the effect of a homogeneous plasma-vacuum narrow transition region on the nature of surface wave propagation along the vacuum channel boundary. Dispersion equations, taking into account the collision damping of surface waves in the region where the wave frequency is equal to LANGMUIR frequency have been obtained. The expressions for damping coefficients of surface waves have been found both for the plane and the cylindrical geometry. Transformation of surface waves into longitudinal oscillations in the transition layer is also obtained. For a period of time, determined by the transition layer width, the surface waves, caused by initial perturbation, have been demonstrated to transform into longitudinal oscillations concentrated in the plasma-vacuum transition layer and directed along the gradient of plasma density.  相似文献

The possibility of the existence of a special class of surface electromagnetic waves with amplitude decreasing nonexponentially as they pass into an anisotropic metal–dielectric structure that borders the isotropic dielectric has been shown. The dispersion equation describing the propagation of such special surface waves has been obtained, and their attenuation coefficients and formula for electric and magnetic fields in contacting media have also been found. The expressions for the longitudinal and transverse components of the Poynting vector and volume density of electric and magnetic energy of special surface waves have been obtained. In complex structures, curvature and impedance discontinuities (e.g., junctions) couple bending and longitudinal waves. Propagation losses for longitudinal waves are often much less than losses for bending waves, and damping treatments often less effective on longitudinal waves. When the dissipation in longitudinal waves is less than that on bending waves, longitudinal waves can provide an efficient means of power flow between bending waves generated at one location and bending waves that are a source of acoustic radiation at another location. In order to design and locate effective treatments, knowledge of the power flow in longitudinal as well as bending waves is required. The measurement of power in both bending and longitudinal waves when both waves are present is demonstrated. Measurements conducted on a straight beam and a T-beam are compared to predictions obtained using finite element methods. The effect of coupling between waves at the junction in a T-beam is illustrated using results from measurements of power flow.  相似文献

This work presents an analysis of the vibration modes of a silica horn-fiber Bragg grating device, which is used for different applications in photonics. The analysis, based on the finite elements method, shows the different acoustical regimes for the excitation of flexural and longitudinal waves in the fiber. Using one single device, experimental results support the analysis by showing the change of the FBG reflectivity, an effect that happens when flexural waves are present, and also by showing the modulation of the FBG, an effect that is caused by longitudinal waves.  相似文献

We analyze the effect of second-harmonic generation(SHG) of primary Lamb wave propagation in a two-layered composite plate, and then investigate the influence of interfacial properties on the said effect at low frequency. It is found that changes in the interfacial properties essentially affect the dispersion relation and then the maximum cumulative distance of the double-frequency Lamb wave generated. This will remarkably influence the efficiency of SHG. To overcome the complications arising from the inherent dispersion and multimode natures in analyzing the SHG effect of Lamb waves, the present work focuses on the analysis of the SHG effect of low-frequency dilatational Lamb wave propagation. Both the numerical analysis and finite element simulation indicate that the SHG effect of low-frequency dilatational Lamb wave propagation is found to be much more sensitive to changes in the interfacial properties than primary Lamb waves. The potential of using the SHG effect of low-frequency dilatational Lamb waves to characterize a minor change in the interfacial properties is analyzed.  相似文献

Using Landau theory of phase transition, expressions for gyrotropic coefficients and piezoelectric coefficients are obtained for barium titanate in the tetragonal phase. Both coefficients vanish at the ferroelectric phase transition temperature. The piezoelectric coefficients tallied with the literature values. The attenuation coefficients for elastic waves propagating along the principal directions in tetragonal, orthorhombic and rhombohedral phases are derived based on Landau theory. It is predicted that there will be slight amplification for both longitudinal and transverse modes in the rhombohedral phase at a temperature close to the rhombohedral phase transition temperature.  相似文献

The optical response of a single-mode uncoated fiber tip to a 3D polarized field, including longitudinal components, is investigated. The 3D field is produced by an opportune superposition of TE and TM plane waves. The contribution of the different field components to the detected signals was discriminated by integrating the scanning probe microscope with a multi-heterodyne detection technique. A simple coupling model for the tip is introduced. The longitudinal field component was assumed to couple to the transverse fiber modes through complex coupling coefficients. Coupling coefficients were obtained by fitting the parameters of the model to the experimental data. These results demonstrate that the longitudinal components of the field are coupled by this probe with an efficiency approximately equal to that of the transverse polarization components.  相似文献

The dynamic impedance of a sphere oscillating in an elastic medium is considered. Oestreicher's [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 23, 707-714 (1951)] formula for the impedance of a sphere bonded to the surrounding medium can be expressed in a relatively simple form in terms of three lumped impedances associated with the displaced mass and the longitudinal and transverse waves. If the surface of the sphere slips while the normal velocity remains continuous, the impedance formula is modified by adjusting the definition of the transverse impedance to include the interfacial impedance.  相似文献

The classical theory of scattering of longitudinal waves (sound) by small inhomogeneities (scatterers) in an ideal fluid is generalized to a distribution of scatterers and such as to include the effect of the inhomogeneities on the elastic properties of the fluid. The results are obtained by a new method of solving the wave equation with spatial restrictions (caused by the presence of the scatterers), which can also be applied to other types of inhomogeneities (like surface roughness, for instance). A coherent forward scattering is identified for a uniform distribution of scatterers (practically equivalent with a mean-field approach), which is due to the fact that our treatment does not include multiple scattering. The reflected wave is obtained for a half-space (semi-infinite fluid) of uniformly distributed scatterers, as well as the field diffracted by a perfect lattice of scatterers. The same method is applied to a (inhomogeneous) rough surface of a semi-infinite ideal fluid. A perturbation-theoretical scheme is devised, with the roughness function as a perturbation parameter, for computing the waves scattered by the surface roughness. The waves scattered by the rough surface are both waves localized (and propagating only) on the surface (two-dimensional waves) and waves reflected back in the fluid. They exhibit directional effects, slowness, attenuation or resonance phenomena, depending on the spatial characteristics of the roughness function. The reflection coefficients and the energy carried on by these waves are calculated both for fixed and free surfaces. In some cases, the surface roughness may generate waves confined to the surface (damped, rough-surface waves).  相似文献
