Recent efforts to model the reactivity of iron oxygenases have led to the generation of nonheme FeIII(OOH) and FeIV(O) intermediates from FeII complexes and O2 but using different cofactors. This diversity emphasizes the rich chemistry of nonheme Fe(ii) complexes with dioxygen. We report an original mechanistic study of the reaction of [(TPEN)FeII]2+ with O2 carried out by cyclic voltammetry. From this FeII precursor, reaction intermediates such as [(TPEN)FeIV(O)]2+, [(TPEN)FeIII(OOH)]2+ and [(TPEN)FeIII(OO)]+ have been chemically generated in high yield, and characterized electrochemically. These electrochemical data have been used to analyse and perform simulation of the cyclic voltammograms of [(TPEN)FeII]2+ in the presence of O2. Thus, several important mechanistic informations on this reaction have been obtained. An unfavourable chemical equilibrium between O2 and the FeII complex occurs that leads to the FeIII-peroxo complex upon reduction, similarly to heme enzymes such as P450. However, unlike in heme systems, further reduction of this latter intermediate does not result in O–O bond cleavage.  相似文献

In a previous study, we analyzed the electronic structure of S = 3/2 [FeNO](7) model complexes [Brown et al. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1995, 117, 715-732]. The combined spectroscopic data and SCF-X alpha-SW electronic structure calculations are best described in terms of Fe(III) (S = 5/2) antiferromagnetically coupled to NO(-) (S = 1). Many nitrosyl derivatives of non-heme iron enzymes have spectroscopic properties similar to those of these model complexes. These NO derivatives can serve as stable analogues of highly labile oxygen intermediates. It is thus essential to establish a reliable density functional theory (DFT) methodology for the geometry and energetics of [FeNO](7) complexes, based on detailed experimental data. This methodology can then be extended to the study of [FeO(2)](8) complexes, followed by investigations into the reaction mechanisms of non-heme iron enzymes. Here, we have used the model complex Fe(Me(3)TACN)(NO)(N(3))(2) as an experimental marker and determined that a pure density functional BP86 with 10% hybrid character and a mixed triple-zeta/double-zeta basis set lead to agreement between experimental and computational data. This methodology is then applied to optimize the hypothetical Fe(Me(3)TACN)(O(2))(N(3))(2) complex, where the NO moiety is replaced by O(2). The main geometric differences are an elongated Fe[bond]O(2) and a steeper Fe[bond]O[bond]O angle in the [FeO(2)](8) complex. The electronic structure of [FeO(2)](8) corresponds to Fe(III) (S = 5/2) antiferromagnetically coupled to O(2)(-) (S = 1/2), and, consistent with the extended bond length, the [FeO(2)](8) unit has only one Fe(III)-O(2)(-) bonding interaction, while the [FeNO](7) unit has both sigma and pi type Fe(III)-NO(-) bonds. This is in agreement with experiment as NO forms a more stable Fe(III)-NO(-) adduct relative to O(2)(-). Although NO is, in fact, harder to reduce, the resultant NO(-) species forms a more stable bond to Fe(III) relative to O(2)(-) due to the different bonding interactions.  相似文献

The reactions of [M(II)(Tpm(Me))(H2O)3]2+ (M = Ni, Co, Fe; Tpm(Me) = tris(3,5-dimethyl-1-pyrazoyl)methane) with [Bu4N][(Tp)Fe(III)(CN)3] (Bu4N+ = tetrabutylammonium cation; Tp = tris(pyrazolyl)hydroborate) in MeCN-Et2O afford three pentanuclear cyano-bridged clusters, [(Tp)3(Tpm(Me))2Fe(III)3M(II)2(CN)9]ClO4.15H2O (M = Ni, 1; M = Co, 2) and [(Tp)3(Tpm(Me))2Fe(III)3Fe(II)2(CN)9]BF4.15H2O (3). Single-crystal X-ray analyses reveal that they show the same trigonal bipyramidal structure featuring a D3h-symmetry core, in which two opposing Tpm(Me)-ligated M(II) ions situated in the two apical positions are linked through cyanide bridges to an equatorial triangle of three Tp-ligated Fe(III) (S = 1/2) centers. Magnetic studies for complex 1 show ferromagnetic coupling giving an S = 7/2 ground state and an appreciable magnetic anisotropy with a negative D(7/2) value equal to -0.79 cm(-1). Complex 2 shows zero-field splitting parameters deducted from the magnetization data with D = -1.33 cm(-1) and g = 2.81. Antiferromagnetic interaction was observed in complex 3.  相似文献

The six-coordinate mononuclear iron(III) complexes [Fe(salpm)2]ClO(4).0.5EtOH, [Fe(salpm)2]Cl, [Fe{(3,5-tBu2)-salpm}2]X (X=ClO4- or Cl-), and [Fe{(3,5-tBu2)-salpm}2]NO(3).2H2O [Hsalpm=N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)salicylideneamine; H(3,5-tBu2)-salpm=N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-3,5-di-tert-butylsalicylideneamine] have been synthesized and isolated in crystalline form; their chemical identities have been ascertained by elemental analyses, FAB mass spectrometry, and infrared spectroscopy. The room-temperature effective magnetic moments [(8chiMT)1/2 approximately 5.85-5.90 microB] of these complexes are consistent with the high-spin (S=5/2) ground state. These complexes are intensely colored on account of the strong ppi-->dpi* LMCT visible absorptions. Definitive evidence for the structures of [Fe(salpm)2]ClO(4).0.5EtOH and [Fe{(3,5-tBu2)-salpm}2]NO(3).2H2O has been provided by single-crystal X-ray crystallography. The monomeric complex cations in both compounds comprise two uninegative phenolate-pyridyl tridentate Schiff-base ligands coordinated meridionally to the iron(III) to afford a distorted octahedral geometry with a trans,cis,cis-[FeO2N4] core. Whereas [Fe(salpm)2]ClO(4).0.5EtOH undergoes a thermally induced 6A1<-->2T2 crossover, [Fe{(3,5-tBu2)-salpm}2]NO(3).2H2O retains its spin state in the solid state down to 5 K. However, EPR spectroscopy reveals that the latter complex does exhibit a spin transformation in solution, albeit to a much lesser extent than does the former. The spin crossover in [Fe(salpm)2]ClO(4).0.5EtOH has resulted in an unprecedented crystallographic observation of the coexistence of high-spin and low-spin iron(III) complex cations in equal proportions around 100 K. At room temperature, the two crystallographically distinct ferric centers are both high spin; however, one [Fe(salpm)2]+ complex cation undergoes a complete spin transition over the temperature range approximately 200-100 K, whereas the other converts very nearly completely between 100 and 65 K; approximately 10% of the complex cations in [Fe(salpm)2]ClO(4).0.5EtOH remain in the high-spin state down to 5 K.  相似文献

Using the tricyano precursor, (Bu4N)[(Tp)Fe(CN)3] (Tp = Tris(pyrazolyl) hydroborate) (1), four new tetranuclear clusters, [(Tp)Fe(CN)3Cu(Tp)]2.2H2O (2), [(Tp)Fe(CN)3Cu(bpca)]2.4H2O (3) (bpca = bis(2-pyridylcarbonyl)amidate anion), [(Tp)Fe(CN)3Ni(tren)]2(ClO4)2.2H2O (4) (tren = tris(2-amino)ethylamine), and [(Tp)Fe(CN)3Ni(bipy)2]2[(Tp)Fe(CN)3]2.6H2O (5) (bipy = 2,2'-bipyridine), have been synthesized and structurally characterized. The four clusters possess similar square structures, where FeIII and MII (M = CuII or NiII) ions alternate at the rectangle corners. There exist intermolecular - stacking interactions through pyrazolyl groups of Tp- ligands in complexes 2 and 4, which lead to 1D chain structures. Complex 5 shows a 3D network structure through the coexistence of - stacking effects and hydrogen-bonding interactions. Magnetic studies show intramolecular ferromagnetic interactions in all four clusters. The exchange parameters are +11.91 and +1.38 cm(-1) for clusters 2 and 3, respectively, while uniaxial molecular anisotropy can be detected in complex 3 due to the distorted core in its molecular structure. Complex 4 has a ground state of S = 3 and shows SMM behavior with an effective energy barrier of U = 18.9 cm(-1). Unusual spin-glass-like dynamic relaxations are observed for complex 5.  相似文献

[Fe(IV)O](2+) species have been implicated as the active form of many nonheme iron enzymes. The electronic structures of iron(IV) oxo complexes are thus of great interest. High-frequency and -field electron paramagnetic resonance is employed to determine accurately the spin Hamiltonian parameters of two stable complexes that contain the FeO unit: [FeO(TMC)(CH 3CN)](CF 3SO 3) 2, where TMC = tetramethylcyclam and [FeO(N4py)](CF 3SO 3) 2, where N4Py = bis(2-pyridylmethyl)bis(2-pyridyl)methylamine. Both complexes exhibit zero-field splittings that are positive, almost perfectly axial, and of very large magnitude: D = +26.95(5) and +22.05(5) cm (-1), respectively. These definitive experimental values can serve as the basis for further computational studies to unravel the electronic structures of such complexes.  相似文献

A new series of complexes with the general formula (n-Bu4N)2[M2O2(micro-Q)2(dmit)2] (where M = Mo, W; Q = S, Se; dmit = 1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolate) have been prepared. Fragmentation of the trinuclear cluster (n-Bu4N)2[Mo3(micro3-S)(micro-S2)3(dmit)3] in the presence of triphenylphosphine (PPh3) gives the dinuclear compound (n-Bu4N)2[Mo2O2(micro-S)2(dmit)2] [(n-Bu4N)2[2]], which is formed via oxidation in air from the intermediate (n-Bu4N)2[Mo3(micro3-S)(micro-S)3(dmit)3] [(n-Bu4N)2[1]] complex. Ligand substitution of the molybdenum sulfur bridged [Mo2O2(micro-S)2(dimethylformamide)6]2+ dimer with the sodium salt of the dmit dithiolate also affords the dianionic compound (n-Bu4N)2[2]. The whole series, (n-Bu4N)2[Mo2O2(micro-Se)2(dmit)2] [(n-Bu4N)2[3]], (n-Bu4N)2[W2O2(micro-S)2(dmit)2] [(n-Bu4N)2[4]], (n-Bu4N)2[W2O2(micro-Se)2(dmit)2] [(n-Bu4N)2[5]], and (n-Bu4N)2[Mo2O2(micro-S)2(dmid)2] [(n-Bu4N)2[6]; dmid = 1,3-dithiole-2-one-4,5-dithiolate], has been synthesized by the excision of the polymeric (Mo3Q7Br4)x phases with PPh3 or 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphanyl)ethane in acetonitrile followed by the dithiolene incorporation and further degradation in air. Direct evidence of the presence of the intermediates with the formula [M3Q4(dmit)3]2- (M = Mo, W; Q = S, Se) has been obtained by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. The crystal structures of (n-Bu4N)2[1], (PPh4)2[Mo2O2(micro-S)2(dmit)2] [(PPh4)2[2]; PPh4 = tetraphenylphosphonium], (n-Bu4N)2[2], (n-Bu4N)2[4], (PPh4)2[W2O2(micro-Se)2(dmit)2] [(PPh4)2[5]], and (n-Bu4N)2[6] have been determined. A detailed study of the gas-phase behavior for compounds (n-Bu4N)2[2-6] shows an identical fragmentation pathway for the whole family that consists of a partial breaking of the two dithiolene ligands followed by the dissociation of the dinuclear cluster.  相似文献

These gas-phase reactions were studied by pulsed laser ablation of an iron target to produce Fe(+) in a fast flow tube, with detection of the ions by quadrupole mass spectrometry. Fe(+).N(2) and Fe(+).O(2) were produced by injecting N(2) and O(2), respectively, into the flow tube. FeO(+) was produced from Fe(+) by addition of N(2)O, or by ligand-switching from Fe(+).N(2) following the addition of atomic O. The following rate coefficients were measured: k(FeO(+) + O --> Fe(+) + O(2), 186-294 K) = (3.2 +/- 1.5) x 10(-11); k(Fe(+).N(2) + O --> FeO(+)+ N(2), 294 K) = (4.6 +/- 2.5) x 10(-10); k(Fe(+).O(2) + O --> FeO(+) + O(2), 294 K) = (6.3 +/- 2.7) x 10(-11); and k(FeO(+) + CO --> Fe(+) + CO(2), 294 K) = (1.59 +/- 0.34) x 10(-10) cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1), where the quoted uncertainties are a combination of the 1sigma standard errors in the kinetic data and the systematic experimental errors. The surprisingly slow reaction between FeO(+) and O is examined using ab initio quantum calculations of the relevant potential energy surfaces. The importance of this reaction for controlling the lifetime of sporadic E layers is then demonstrated using a model of the upper mesosphere and lower thermosphere.  相似文献

Two new azido-bridged Fe(III) Schiff base complexes, [Fe(salen)N 3 ] and [Fe(MeO-salen)N 3 ]·2H 2 O, [salen = N , N '-bis-salicylaldehyde(ethylenediimine) and MeO-salen = N , N' -bis-3-methoxysalicylaldehyde(ethylenediimine)] have been synthesized, characterized and studied cryo-magnetically. A new isomeric form of the complex [{Fe(salen) 2 O}] was obtained when attempts were made to grow single crystal of [Fe(salen)N 3 ] from different solvents. The structure of [Fe(salen)] 2 O has been determined by single crystal X-ray analysis. Magnetic susceptibility measurements show the presence of antiferromagnetic interactions in [Fe(salen)N 3 ] and [Fe(MeO-salen)N 3 ]·2H 2 O. The theoretical fit of the susceptibility data yielded values for the spin exchange parameters J = m 10 ( - 0.2) and m 13 ( - 0.3) cm m 1 , for [Fe(salen)N 3 ] and [Fe(MeO-salen)N 3 ]·2H 2 O, respectively.  相似文献

Two tricyanometallate precursors, (Bu4N)[(Tp4Bo)Fe(CN)3].H2O.2MeCN (1) and (Bu4N)[(pzTp)Fe(CN)3] (2) [Bu4N+ = tetrabutylammonium cation; Tp4Bo = tris(indazolyl)hydroborate; pzTp = tetrakis(pyrazolyl)borate], with a low-spin FeIII center have been synthesized and characterized. The reactions of 1 or 2 with [Cu(Me3tacn)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (Me3tacn = N,N',N' '-trimethyl-1,4,7-triazacyclononane) afford two pentanuclear cyano-bridged clusters, [(Tp4Bo)2(Me3tacn)3Cu3Fe2(CN)6](ClO4)4.5H2O (3) and [(pzTp)2(Me3tacn)3Cu3Fe2(CN)6](ClO4)4.4H2O (4), respectively. Assembly reactions between 2 and [Ni(phen)(CH3OH)4](ClO4)2 (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline) or Zn(OAc)2.2H2O afford a molecular box [(pzTp)4(phen)4Ni4Fe4(CH3OH)4(CN)12](ClO4)4.4H2O (5) and a rectangular cluster [(pzTp)2Zn2Fe2(OAc)2(H2O)2(CN)6] (6). Their molecular structures were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In complexes 1 and 2, the central FeIII ions are coordinated by three cyanide carbon atoms and three nitrogen atoms of Tp4Bo- or pzTp-. Both complexes 3 and 4 show a trigonal-bipyramidal geometry, in which [(L)Fe(CN)3]- units occupy the apical positions and are linked through cyanide to [Cu(Me3tacn)]2+ units situated in the equatorial plane. Complex 5 possesses a cubic arrangement of eight metal irons linked through edge-spanning cyanide bridges, while complex 6 shows Zn2Fe2(CN)4 rectangular structure, in which FeIII and ZnII ions are alternately bridged by the cyanide groups. Intramolecular ferromagnetic couplings are observed for complexes 3-5, and they have S = 5/2, 5/2, and 6 ground states and appreciable magnetic anisotropies with negative D values equal to -0.49, -2.39, and -0.39 cm-1, respectively.  相似文献

A novel ionic compound [Fe(CN)6(phCH2NC5H5)3]·(H2O)4(Mr = 794.71) has been synthesized and its structure was characterized by IR, elemental analysis and X-ray diffraction. The compound crystallizes in monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 10.837(2), b = 16.551(3), c = 23.402(5) , β = 97.531(4)o, V = 4161.0(15) A3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.269 g/cm3, F(000) = 1668, μ = 0.414 mm-1, R = 0.0479 and wR = 0.1232. The building unit of the title compound consists of three (phCH2N+C5H5) ions, one [Fe(CN)6]3- anion and four water molecules. According to the structural analysis, [Fe(CN)6]3- are linked together by O–H···N and O–H···O hydrogen bonds, but [Fe(CN)6]3- and [(phCH2N+C5H5)3] ions are bound by electrostatic force to form an ionic compound.  相似文献

The reactions of three polypyridylamine ferrous complexes, [Fe(TPEN)]2+, [Fe(TPPN)]2+, and [Fe(TPTN)]2+, with nitric oxide (NO) (where TPEN = N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine, TPPN = N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,2-propylenediamine, and TPTN = N,N,N′,N′-tetrakis(2-pyridylmethyl)trimethylenediamine) were investigated. The first two complexes, which are spin-crossover systems, presented second-order rate constants for complex formation reactions (kf) of 8.4 × 103 and 9.3 × 103 M?1 s?1, respectively (pH 5.0, 25 °C, I = 0.1 M). In contrast, the [Fe(TPTN)]2+ complex, which is in low-spin ground state, did not show any detectable reaction with NO. kf values are lower than those of high-spin Fe(II) complexes, such as [Fe(EDTA)]2? (EDTA = ethylenediaminetetraacetate) and [Fe(H2O)]2+, but higher than low-spin Fe(II) complexes, such as [Fe(CN)5(H2O)]3? and [Fe(bipyridine)3]2+. The release of NO from the [Fe(TPEN)NO]2+ and [Fe(TPPN)NO]2+ complexes were also studied, showing the values 15.6 and 17.7 s?1, respectively, comparable to the high-spin aminocarboxylate analogs. A mechanism is proposed based on the spin-crossover behavior and the geometry of these complexes and is discussed in the context of previous publications.  相似文献

Cryoreduction of the [FeO2]6 (n = 6 is the number of electrons in 3d orbitals on Fe and pi* orbitals on O2) dioxygen-bound ferroheme through irradiation at 77 K generates an [FeO2]7 reduced oxy-heme. Numerous investigations have examined [FeO2]7 centers that have been characterized as peroxo-ferric centers, denoted [FeO2]per7, in which a ferriheme binds a dianionic peroxo-ligand. The generation of such an intermediate can be understood heuristically if the [FeO2]6 parent is viewed as a superoxo-ferric center and the injected electron localizes on the O-O moiety. We here report EPR/ENDOR experiments which show quite different properties for the [FeO2]7 centers produced by cryoreduction of monomeric oxy-hemoglobin (oxy-GMH3) from Glycera dibranchiata, which is unlike mammalian "globins" in having a leucine in place of the distal histidine; of frozen aprotic solutions of oxy-ferrous octaethyl porphyrin; and of the oxy-ferrous complex of the heme model, cyclidene. These [FeO2]7 centers are characterized as "superoxo-ferrous" centers ([FeO2]sup7), with nearly unit spin density localized on a superoxo moiety which is end-on coordinated to a low-spin ferrous ion. This assignment is based on their g tensors and 17O hyperfine couplings, which are characteristic of the superoxide ion coordinated to a diamagnetic metal ion, and on the absence of detectable ENDOR signals either from the in-plane 14N ligands or from an exchangeable H-bond proton. Such a center would arise if the electron that adds to the [FeO2]6 superoxo-ferric parent localizes on the Fe ion, to make a superoxo-ferrous moiety. Upon annealing to T > 150 K, the [FeO2]sup7 species converts to peroxo/hydroperoxo-ferric ([FeO2H]7) intermediates. These experiments suggest that the primary reduction product is [FeO2]sup7 and that the internal redox transition to [FeO2]per7/[FeO2H]7 states is driven at least in part by H-bonding/proton donation by the environment.  相似文献

The photocatalytic formation of a non-heme oxoiron(IV) complex, [(N4Py)Fe(IV)(O)](2+) [N4Py = N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-N-bis(2-pyridyl)methylamine], efficiently proceeds via electron transfer from the excited state of a ruthenium complex, [Ru(II)(bpy)(3)](2+)* (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine) to [Co(III)(NH(3))(5)Cl](2+) and stepwise electron-transfer oxidation of [(N4Py)Fe(II)](2+) with 2 equiv of [Ru(III)(bpy)(3)](3+) and H(2)O as an oxygen source. The oxoiron(IV) complex was independently generated by both chemical oxidation of [(N4Py)Fe(II)](2+) with [Ru(III)(bpy)(3)](3+) and electrochemical oxidation of [(N4Py)Fe(II)](2+).  相似文献

Reactions between the complex [MnII(L)]2+, where L is a N3O2 macrocyclic ligand, and different cyanometalate precursors such as [M(CN)n]m- (M(III) = Cr, Fe; M(II) = Fe, Ni, Pd, Pt) lead to cyano-bridged molecular assemblies exhibiting a variety of structural topologies. The reaction between [MnII(L)]2+ and [FeII(CN)6]4- forms a trinuclear complex with formula [(MnII(L)(H2O))2(FeII(micro-CN)2(CN)4)] x 2MeOH x 10H2O (1) which crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1. The reaction between [MnII(L)]2+ and [M(II)(CN)4]2-, where M(II) = Ni (2), Pd (3), Pt (4), gives rise to three isostructural linear chain compounds with stoichiometry [(MnII(L))(M(II)(micro-CN)2(CN)2)]n and which crystallize in the monoclinic space group C2/c. The self-assembly between [MnII(L)]2+ with [M(III)(CN)6]3-, where M(III) = Cr (5), Fe (6, 7, 8), forms three types of compounds. Compounds 5 and 6 are isostructural (monoclinic, space group P2(1)/n), and the structures comprise anionic linear chains [(MnII(L))(M(III)(micro-CN)2(CN)4)]n(n-) with cationic trinuclear complexes [(MnII(L)(H2O))2(M(III)(micro-CN)2(CN)4)]+ as counterions. Using an excess of K3[FeIII(CN)6], an analogous compound to 6 but with K+ as counterion is obtained (7), which crystallizes in the triclinic space group P1. Compound 8 consists of 2-D layers with formula [(MnII(L))3(FeIII(micro-CN)4(CN)2)(FeIII(micro-CN)2(CN)4)]n x 2nMeOH; it crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n. The magnetic properties were investigated for all samples. In particular, compound 5, which shows antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between Mn(II) and Cr(III) ions through cyanide bridging ligands, has been studied in detail; the magnetic exchange parameter amounts to J = -7.5(7) cm(-1). Compound 8 shows a magnetically ordered phase below 6.4 K which is confirmed by M?ssbauer spectroscopy; two hyperfine split spectra were observed below Tc from which IJI values of 2.1 and 1.6 cm(-1) could be deduced.  相似文献

Base specificity and enantioselectivity for the DNA binding of [Fe(phen)2(dppz)]2+ (phen=1,10-phenanthroline and dppz=dipyrido[3,2-a:2',3'-c]phenazine) have been studied by determining the equilibrium binding constant (Kb) of the iron(II) complex to calf thymus DNA (ct-DNA), poly[(dA-dT)2], poly[(dG-dC)2] and poly[(dI-dC)2] using spectrophotometric titration and by monitoring the CD spectral profile of the iron(II) complex in the presence and absence of different types of DNA using circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy, respectively. It has been shown that [Fe(phen)2(dppz)]2+ prefers to intercalate into the A-T and I-C sequences of poly[(dA-dT)2] and poly[(dI-dC)2] rather than into the G-C sequences of poly[(dG-dC)2] or into the base pairs of ct-DNA. In contrast to previous reports, it is a surprising observation that the enantioselectivity of the DNA binding for [Fe(phen)2(dppz)]2+ is base-dependent in nature. The Delta-enantiomer of [Fe(phen)2(dppz)]2+ is preferentially intercalated into the base pairs of poly[(dG-dC)2] or ct-DNA as indicated by its CD spectral profiles. On the other hand, the Lambda-enantiomer of [Fe(phen)2(dppz)]2+ is favorably intercalated into poly[(dA-dT)2] or poly[(dI-dC)2] as suggested by the opposite CD spectral profile. This preferential binding of Lambda-[Fe(phen)2(dppz)]2+)for the A-T sequence may be attributed to the fact that the binding site for the A-T sequence is relatively facile and thus the steric effect caused by the ancillary (non-intercalated) phen ligands is alleviated. The degree of enantioselectivity represented by inversion constants (Kinv) decreases as the salt concentration in the solution increases, indicating that electrostatic interaction is also operating in the ct-DNA-binding events of the iron (II) complex.  相似文献

A peroxide-Fe3+ intermediate generation during the Fenton reaction of iron chelate involving a ligating N,N'-di-2-picolyl-4, 7-diaza-1-oxacyclononane (DPC), H2O2/[Fe2+ DPC]2+, is reported. The identity of this peroxide complex is confirmed by resonance Raman (RR) and electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopies. The RR spectrum of [Fe2+ DPC]2+ treated with H2O2 shows a frequency at 854 cm(-1) ascribable to v(O-O) vibrational modes of the peroxide-Fe3+ complex with a side-on geometry. On the other hand, the ESR spectrum of H2O2/[Fe2+ DPC]2+ acquired at 77 K exhibits the resonance transition at g = 2.196 and 2.017 due to the peroxide-Fe3+ complex with an axial symmetry. It has been concluded that the H2O2/[Fe2+ DPC]2+ reaction proceeds by rapid bonding of H2O2 to an open coordination site on the central Fe2+ cation.  相似文献
