Numerical investigations on the launch process of a projectile in a nearly realistic situation have been performed in this
article. The Arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian (ALE) of Euler equations is solved by the AUSMDV scheme and the dynamic chimera
grid technique are used for describing the moving of the projectile. Based on our numerical results, the muzzle blast flow
field of the transient launch process of a projectile at a relative high Mach number of 3.0 has been visualized numerically,
and the prominent characteristics including the propagation of first and second blast waves, the generation of bow shock wave
and moving of the projectile, etc. have been discussed in detail.

The development of a computer program to solve the axisymmetric full Navier--Stokes equations with k-ε two-equation model of turbulence using various total variation diminishing (TVD) schemes is the primary interest of this study. The computations are performed for the turbulent, transonic, viscous flow over a projectile with/without supporting sting at zero angle of attack. The predicted results, as well as the convergence characteristics, by various TVD schemes are compared with each other. The results show that the TVD schemes of higher-order accuracy do have influence on the regions of high gradients such as shock, base corner and base flow. However, the schemes of third-order accuracy do not necessarily improve the agreement with measured data (which is not available on the base) than that of second-order accuracy, but surely generate apparent different result of base flow. The supporting sting on the projectile base will complicate the base flow and the existence of the sting will slightly shift the shock location and slightly change the flow field after the shock. More iteration steps are needed to get the converged results in the computation for the projectile with sting. 相似文献

We show that if the dependence of the drag force on the velocity is quadratic and the time dependence of the radius of a spherical body is linear, then the first integral of the equation of motion can be written out in closed form in terms of Bessel functions. To calculate the second integral, we propose concise approximate formulas. Their accuracy is verified by comparing the results obtained by analytic and numerical solution of the Cauchy problem. 相似文献

为研究卵形弹丸贯穿中等厚度混凝土靶体的贯穿规律,开展直径60 mm尖卵形弹丸贯穿不同厚度混凝土靶体的侵彻实验,获得了不同撞击速度的弹丸贯穿不同厚度混凝土靶体的剩余速度规律。结合无网格SPH方法、RHT混凝土本构以及状态方程,对贯穿实验进行数值模拟,对不同工况下的弹丸过载规律以及靶体的损伤过程的分析发现:弹丸贯穿中等厚度混凝土靶体的贯穿过程分为开坑阶段、隧道稳定侵彻阶段以及靶背影响出靶阶段,在相同初始撞击速度下的靶背影响区的厚度随着靶体厚度的增加而增大。实验结果与数值模拟结果对比,表明模型能够有效模拟弹丸贯穿混凝介质问题,研究结果可为贯穿机理的研究提供参考。

基于模具与工件磨损中的Archard粘着磨损理论,分析弹体表面微粒的细观塑性变形,建立弹体质量侵蚀表征模型,运用动态空腔膨胀理论得到弹体表面应力,再通过差分计算得到高速侵彻中弹体宏观轮廓的钝化回退过程。计算得到的弹体外部轮廓、质量损失及侵彻深度等参数与实验结果基本吻合。结果表明;弹体侵蚀效应对侵彻时间和深度的影响随着撞击速度的增大愈加显著;弹体侵彻过程中最大过载与刚性条件下有较大区别,提高弹体材料的屈服强度能有效减少侵彻过程中弹体的质量损失,提高最终侵彻深度。 相似文献

The response of a micropolar thermoelastic medium possessing cubic symmetry with two relaxation times due to time harmonic sources is investigated. Fourier transform is employed and the transform is inverted by using a numerical inversion technique. The components of displacement, stress, microrotation and temperature distribution in the physical domain are obtained numerically. The results of normal displacement, normal force stress, tangential couple stress and temperature distribution are compared for micropolar cubic crystal and micropolar isotropic solid. The motion of a particle which is projected into a resistant medium and subjected to a uniform gravitational field is considered. The drag force that acts upon the particle within the medium is proportional to the particle speed squared. The problem is formulated in terms of particle-speed and local-path-angle variables, and the equations of motion that result are non-linear and coupled. An exact solution to these equations can be obtained but involves quadratures which cannot be analytically evaluated in terms of standard functions. An approximate solution that is remarkably accurate is presented. This solution is based upon the so-called cubic law, which is motivated by certain properties of the exact solution. This solution is also utilized to obtain estimates for the maximum projectile range, optimal projection angle, and other quantities of interest related to the particle motion. 相似文献

The process of auto-ignition in a non-premixed, homogeneous and isotropic turbulent medium is considered. The governing pdf transport equation is simulated via a Monte Carlo method. It is found that the pdf evolution depends on the relative magnitudes of two time scales, namely, that of turbulent mixing and of chemical reaction. Calculations made for a wide range of these time scales show that at least four different regimes of auto-ignition may be identified. These are classified into premixed and non-premixed type, and are located on a Damköhler number diagram. 相似文献

We study analytically and numerically the relaxation time of flow evolution governed by the Navier-Stokes-Voigt (NSV) model. We first show that for the Taylor–Green vortex decay problem, NSV admits an exact solution which evolves slower than true fluid flow. Secondly, we show numerically for a channel flow test problem using standard discretisation methods that although NSV provides more regular solutions compared to usual Navier-Stokes solutions, NSV approximations take significantly longer to reach the steady state. 相似文献

In this paper the equation of equilibrium for a nonhomogeneous isotropic elastic solid under shear has been solved in rectangular Cartesian coordinates as well as in cylindrical polar coordinates. The modulus of rigidity of the material is assumed to vary in lateral as well as vertical directions. After adopting the constitutive equations of the viscoelastic non-local media in the form of Kroener-Eringen-Ahmadi, and making use of the Fourier exponential transformation, fundamental equations for the propagation of plane longitudinal harmonic waves in the Voigt-Kelvin and the Maxwell media are established. In each case the wave dispersion is examined, and the associated equation found to be non-linear. Summary Choosing a simple parallel-plate waveguide, an exact expression is obtained for the transient response when a step-modulated carrier signal is applied. The analysis constitutes a modest extension of the early work of Sommerfeld and the more recent investigations of Rubinowicz and Knop. Numerical calculations are presented for a range of the parameters which have some relevance to propagation in the earth-ionosphere waveguide. The exact form of the transient envelope function is compared with an approximate version which is in the form of a Fresnel integral. It is shown that the approximate method gives a good qualitative estimate for the transient response characteristics. A new form of the wave equation in inhomogeneous media is presented which does not contain derivatives of the medium parameters in its coefficients. Hence this equation can be used not only for the case of smooth but also for the case of abrupt changes of the parameters with the coordinates. The equation can be used for waves of different nature.
To illustrate the advantages of the new form of the wave equation four problems have been solved. They are: scattering of a plane sound wave by weak inhomogeneities; excitation of a lateral wave; the symmetry of the plane-wave transmission coefficient with respect to inversion of the path of the wave; and plane were reflection from a thin inhomogeneous layer. 相似文献

In this Note, the solution for spherically symmetric cavitation in a viscoplastic material is analysed. To ensure of the reality of the physical behaviour of the material, the problem is studied by considering a hollow sphere whose matrix obeys to a modified Bodner and Partom model.
