The paper deals with three-dimensional mixed boundary value problem of the anisotropic elasticity theory when the elastic body under consideration has a cut in the form of an arbitrary non-closed, two-dimensional, smooth surface with a smooth boundary: on one side of the cut surface the Dirichlet type condition (i.e., the displacement vector) is given, while on the other side the Neumann type condition (i.e., the stress vector) is prescribed. Applying the potential method and invoking the theory of ΨDEs uniqueness, existence and regularity results are proved in various function spaces. The asymptotic expansion of the solution of the corresponding system of boundary ΨDEs is written.  相似文献

We investigate three‐dimensional transmission problems related to the interaction of metallic and piezoelectric ceramic bodies. We give a mathematical formulation of the physical problem when the metallic and ceramic sub‐domains are bonded along some proper parts of their boundaries. The corresponding nonclassical mixed boundary‐transmission problem is reduced by the potential method to an equivalent nonselfadjoint strongly elliptic system of pseudo‐differential equations on manifolds with boundary. We investigate the solvability of this system in different function spaces. On the basis of these results we prove uniqueness and existence theorems for the original boundary‐transmission problem. We study also the regularity of the electrical and mechanical fields near the curves where the boundary conditions change and where the interfaces intersect the exterior boundary. The electrical and mechanical fields can be decomposed into singular and more regular terms near these curves. A power of the distance from a reference point to the corresponding edge‐curves occurs in the singular terms and describes the regularity explicitly. By the potential method, we investigate the Dirichlet and Neumann boundary value problems of the elasticity theory of hemitropic (chiral) materials in the case of Lipschitz domains. We study properties of the single‐ and double‐layer potentials and of certain, generated by them, boundary integral operators. These results are applied to reduce the boundary value problems to the equivalent first and the second kind integral equations and the uniqueness and existence theorems are proved in various function spaces. We prove unique existence of solution for a class of plane wave diffraction problems by a strip with first and second kind boundary conditions. This is done in a Bessel potential spaces framework, and for a real (noncomplex) wave number. The paper deals with the three-dimensional mathematical problems of the elasticity theory of anisotropic piece-wise homogeneous bodies. Non - classical mixed type boundary value problems are studied when on one part (S1) of the interface the rigid contact conditions (jumps of displacement and stress vectors) are given, while conditions of the non - classical interface Problem H or Problem G are imposed on the remaining part (S2) of the interface, i. e., in both cases jumps of the normal components of displacement and stress vectors are known on S2 and, in addition, in the first one (Problem H) the tangent components of the displacement vector and in the second one (Problem G) the tangent components of the stress vector are given from the both sides on S2. The investigation is carried out by the potential method and the theory of pseudodifferential equations on manifolds with boundary.  相似文献

This article deals with some boundary value problems for quasilinear mixed (elliptic-hyperbolic) complex equations of first order with degenerate hyperbolic curve in a simply connected domain. First, we give the representation theorem and prove the uniqueness of solutions for the above boundary value problems. The solution of an initial‐boundary value problem for bending of a piecewise‐homogeneous thermoelastic plate with transverse shear deformation is represented as various combinations of single‐layer and double‐layer time‐dependent potentials. In this work we propose and analyze numerical methods for the approximation of the solution of Helmholtz transmission problems in two or three dimensions. This kind of problems arises in many applications related to scattering of acoustic, thermal and electromagnetic waves. Formulations based on boundary integral methods are powerful tools to deal with transmission problems in unbounded media. Different formulations using boundary integral equations can be found in the literature. We propose here new symmetric formulations based on a paper by Martin Costabel and Ernst P. Stephan (1985), that uses the Calderón projector for the interior and exterior problems to develop closed expressions for the interior and exterior Dirichlet-to-Neumann operators. These operators are then matched to obtain an integral system that is equivalent to the Helmholtz transmission problem and uses Cauchy data on the transmission boundary as unknowns. We show how to simplify the aspect and analysis of the method by employing an additional mortar unknown with respect to the ones used in the original paper, writing it in an appropriate way to devise Krylov type iterations based on the separate Dirichlet-to-Neumann operators.  相似文献

We apply the boundary integral equation method and a primal mixed finite element approach to study the weak solvability and Galerkin approximations of linear interior transmission problems arising in potential theory and elastostatics. The existence and uniqueness of solution of the resulting weak formulations and of the associated discrete schemes are derived by using the classical theory for variational problems with constraints. Suitable finite element subspaces of Lagrange type satisfying the compatibility conditions are utilized for defining the Galerkin scheme. The mixed boundary value problem is considered for an anisotropic elastic body under the condition that a boundary value of the displacement vector is given on some part of the boundary and a boundary value of the generalized stress vector on the remainder. Approximate solutions, similar to the type used in the Complex Variable Boundary Element Method, are shown to exist for two dimensional mixed boundary value potential problems on multiply connected domains. These approximate solutions can be used numerically to obtain least squares solutions or solutions which interpolate given boundary conditions. We review the recent results for boundary value problems with boundary conditions given by second-order integral-differential operators. Particular attention has been paid to nonlinear problems (without integral terms in the boundary conditions) for elliptic and parabolic equations. The paper is devoted to the analysis of wave diffraction problems modeled by classes of mixed boundary conditions and the Helmholtz equation, within a half‐plane with a crack. Potential theory together with Fredholm theory, and explicit operator relations, are conveniently implemented to perform the analysis of the problems. In particular, an interplay between Wiener–Hopf plus/minus Hankel operators and Wiener–Hopf operators assumes a relevant preponderance in the final results. As main conclusions, this study reveals conditions for the well‐posedness of the corresponding boundary value problems in certain Sobolev spaces and equivalent reduction to systems of Wiener–Hopf equations.
