The basic order properties, as well as some metric and algebraic properties, are studied of the set of finitely additive transition functions on an arbitrary measurable space, as endowed with the structure of an ordered normed algebra, and some connections are revealed with the classical spaces of linear operators, vector measures, and measurable vector-valued functions. In particular, the question is examined of splitting the space of transition functions into the sum of the subspaces of countably additive and purely finitely additive transition functions.  相似文献

We provide a version of Fatou's lemma for mappings taking their values in E *, the topological dual of a separable Banach space. The mappings are assumed to be Gelfand integrable, a difference with previous papers, which, in infinite dimensional spaces, are mainly considering Bochner integrable mappings. This result is motivated by a general equilibrium model with locations studied by Cornet and Medecin (1999) and directly applies to it, since the space E * considered by Cornet and Medecin is the space of (Radon) vector measures defined on a compact metric space.  相似文献

Absolute continuity for functionals is studied in the context of proper and abstract Riemann integration examining the relation to absolute continuity for finitely additive measures and giving results in both directions: integrals coming from measures and measures induced by integrals. We introduce a class of set-functions on the set of natural numbers, which are called super-measures. Super-measures are then utilized to characterize a certain class of topological measures (previously called quasi-measures, see below) which arises naturally. We study convergence rates for weighted sums of pairwise independent random variables in a noncommutative probability space of which the weights are in a von Neumann algebra. In Euclidean space, the integration by parts formula for a set of finite perimeter is expressed by the integration with respect to a type of surface measure. According to geometric measure theory, this surface measure is realized by the one-codimensional Hausdorff measure restricted on the reduced boundary and/or the measure-theoretic boundary, which may be strictly smaller than the topological boundary. In this paper, we discuss the counterpart of this measure in the abstract Wiener space, which is a typical infinite-dimensional space. We introduce the concept of the measure-theoretic boundary in the Wiener space and provide the integration by parts formula for sets of finite perimeter. The formula is presented in terms of the integration with respect to the one-codimensional Hausdorff-Gauss measure restricted on the measure-theoretic boundary.  相似文献

What is known about exponentials in categories of pretopological spacesdepends essentially on calculations and constructions with non-Hausdorffspaces, especially the space 3 consisting of 3 points, only one of whichadmits a nontrivial (pre-)neighborhood filter with exactly 2 neighborhoods.Exponentials in coreflective subcategories C of Prtop, the category of all pretopological spaces, are known to be always finitely generated, andvice versa, if C is finitely productivein Prtop. This result can be reproved using a completely different and veryelementary approach which works for Hausdorff spaces as well as for otherseparation properties and generalizes to regular epireflectivesubcategories. Moreover, every finitely productive topological subconstructof Prtop, that contains some not finitely generated net space, turns out tobe not Cartesian closed. Ample fields play an important role in possibility theory. These fields of subsets of a universe, which are additionally closed under arbitrary unions, act as the natural domains for possibility measures. A set provided with an ample field is then called an ample space. In this paper we generalise Wang's notions of product ample field and product ample space. We make a topological study of ample spaces and their products, and introduce ample subspaces, extensions and one-point extensions of ample spaces. In this way, a first step towards a mathematical theory of possibilistic processes is made.  相似文献
