In this report, we demonstrate the efficient generation of collinearly propagating photon pairs in a bulk periodically poled potassium titanyl phosphate pumped by a cw laser. The detected coincidence counts are more than 7400/s with 3.58 mW pump power in a Hanbury-Brown-Twiss-type experiment. The estimated photon pair production rate is about 0.73 MHz/mW. This is very promising for some applications, such as quantum key distribution, proof of the Bell-inequality, preparation of single photon states in broadband wave packets, Franson-type interference and so on.  相似文献

We report high-repetition-rate pulses obtained by cavity dumping of a neodymium-doped phosphate glass fibre laser operating at 1053 nm using a specially constructed acoustooptic modulator. With 27 mW absorbed pump power at 812 nm we obtained stable trains of output pulses with repetition rate in the range 0.5 to 8 MHz having corresponding pulse widths in the range 127 to 19 ns without significant sacrifice in the average output power of 8 mW.  相似文献

独立光子源的干涉是实现复杂量子体系应用(比如多光子纠缠态产生和量子隐形传态等)的核心技术.利用100 GHz密集波分复用技术,实现了1.55μm全光纤多通道独立纠缠光子源的Hong-Ou-Mandel干涉,在不去除暗符合(随机符合计数)的情况下,可见度为53.2%±8.4%,去除暗符合可见度可达到82.9%±5.3%.给出了关于色散位移光纤中基于自发四波混频过程产生的单光子光谱纯度严格的理论描述,模拟了抽运脉冲宽度和滤波器带宽对单光子光谱纯度的影响,并给出了理论上的最佳条件(最佳的抽运脉冲宽度为8 ps,高斯滤波器带宽为40 GHz及以下).在测量Hong-Ou-Mandel干涉之前,先测量了液氮冷却状态下的色散位移光纤关联光子源的符合和随机符合比率,在抽运功率为23μW的情况下,最大比率可以达到131.Hong-Ou-Mandel干涉在高精度光学测量、测量装置无关的量子密钥分配等应用中扮演着极为重要的角色.  相似文献

 报道了Er3+-Yb3+共掺杂光纤作为增益介质的环型腔光纤激光器。利用光纤的非线性偏振旋转效应产生可饱和吸收体的锁模机制,通过调整泵浦功率,调节偏振控制器的状态,实现了连续基波锁模和高阶谐波锁模两种稳定的锁模运转状态。其中连续基波锁模重复频率15.89 MHz,中心波长为1.557 nm,光谱宽度为9.9 nm。二阶谐波锁模重复率为31.79 MHz,三阶谐波锁模脉冲重复率为46.99 MHz。观察到了调Q锁模和调Q脉冲序列,给出了各种运转状态的实验结果并对多种锁模机理作了简要的分析。  相似文献

4 (KTP) optical parametric oscillators (OPOs) with pump and idler resonant cavities. With a linear two-mirror cavity the pump power at threshold was 70 mW. The single-frequency signal and idler output wavelengths were tuned in the range of 1025 to 1040 nm and 1250 to 1380 nm by tuning the dye laser in the range of 565 to 588 nm. With a dual three-mirror cavity the threshold was 135 mW. Pumped by 500 mW of 578 nm radiation the 1040 nm single-frequency signal wave output power was 84 mW. Power and frequency stable operation with a spectral bandwidth of less than 9 MHz was obtained by piezo-electrically locking the length of the pump resonant cavity to the dye laser wavelength. Similar performance was achieved by placing the idler resonant OPO inside the resonator of the dye laser. With this system power stable and single-frequency operation was achieved with a spectral bandwidth of less than 11 MHz for the idler wave. We report on the development of an extended-cavity, low-threshold femtosecond Cr4+:forsterite laser operating near 1270 nm. The resonator was end-pumped by a continuous-wave Yb-fiber laser at 1060 nm. The 195-MHz short cavity could be operated with absorbed threshold pump powers as low as about 300 mW. To scale up the pulse energy, the cavity length was increased by using a q-preserving multipass cavity (MPC) consisting of a flat and a curved (R = 4 m), notched high-reflector. Kerr-lens mode locking was used to generate femtosecond pulses and double-chirped mirrors were included in the cavity for dispersion compensation. With an absorbed pump power of 1250 mW, the mode-locked laser produced 4 nJ of pulse energy at an average output power of only 47 mW. The corresponding repetition rate of the extended cavity was 11.7 MHz. The pulse-width was 90 fs and the spectral bandwidth was 23 nm, corresponding to a time-bandwidth product of 0.37.  相似文献

Time-bin-modulated biphotons from cavity-enhanced down-conversion   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We have generated a new type of biphoton state by cavity-enhanced down-conversion in a type-II phase-matched, periodically poled KTiOPO4 crystal. By introducing a weak intracavity birefringence, we obtained signal and idler photons whose quantum interference was modulated between singlet and triplet signatures according to their arrival-time difference. This cavity-enhanced biphoton source is spectrally bright, yielding a single-mode fiber-coupled coincidence rate of 0.7 pairs/s per mW of pump power per MHz of down-conversion bandwidth.  相似文献

A femtosecond LBO optical parametric oscillator(OPO) with widely adjustable repetition rate by fractionally decrement of the cavity length is demonstrated. The repetition rate of 755 MHz to 1.43 GHz at an interval of 75.5 MHz is realized, which is 10 to 19 times that of the pump laser. The properties of output signal at 750 nm at different repetition rates are studied. The power of signal decreases with increasing the repetition rate. The maximum power of 194 mW at the repetition rate of 755 MHz and the minimum power of 22 mW at repetition rate of 1.43 GHz for the signal at 750 nm are obtained for the pump power of 3 W.  相似文献

研究了结构新颖的环形腔铒/镱(Er/Yb)共掺双包层光纤激光器.为了获得高功率激光输出,使用6个激光二极管(LD)同时抽运Er/Yb共掺光纤,采用光纤光栅(FBG)Sagnac环作为波长选择器,得到了中心波长为1548.11 nm、谱线宽度为0.06 nm的窄线宽激光输出;并利用增益光纤作为可饱和吸收体,实现了自调Q、自锁模脉冲输出.当抽运功率为719 mW时,激光器输出自调Q脉冲,脉冲周期为20μs,脉冲宽度为2.8μs,脉冲的平均功率为38.4mW,峰值功率为274.3mW;当抽运功率为3.6 W时,激光器输出自锁模脉冲,脉冲宽度为4ns,平均功率为319 mW,脉冲峰值功率大于10 W,重复频率为7.937 MHz.  相似文献

We report on a wide-band and stable mode-locked all-polarization-maintaining fiber iaser configuration using a noniinear optical loop mirror.The central wavelength of the laser is 1080.14 nm and the 3dB bandwidth is 20.29 nm.The repetition rate of the pulse is 3.28 MHz and the pulse width is 848 ps.By tuning the pump power,which is centered at 980 nm,from 300 mW to 380 mW,we obtain a linearly changed output power from 6mW to 7.12 mW.The all-polarization-maintaining fiber configuration is fundamental to the stability of the output power.  相似文献

Employing 0.3 nm diameter single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs)as saturable absorbers,we demonstrate a passively mode-locked fiber laser operating at 1950 nm.The 0.3 nm diameter SWCNTs are prepared by pyrolyzing dipropylamine in the channels of zeolite crystals Mg APO-11(AEL).The laser pumped by a 1550 nm laser source produces 972 fs pulses with a spectral width at half-maximum of 4.2 nm and a repetition rate of 21.05 MHz,an average output power of 2.3 mW corresponding to the maximum pump power of 420 mW with a 10%output coupler.  相似文献

We demonstrate an ultrafast fiber laser based on transition metal dichalcogenide materials which are tungsten disulfide(WS2) and molybdenum disulfide(MoS_2) as saturable absorber(SA). These materials are fabricated via a simple drop-casting method. By employing WS_2, we obtain a stable harmonic mode-locking at the threshold pump power of 184 mW, and the generated soliton pulse has 3.48 MHz of repetition rate. At the maximum pump power of 250 mW, we also obtain a small value of pulse duration, 2.43 ps with signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of 57 dB.For MoS_2 SA, the pulse is generated at 105 mW pump power with repetition rate of 1.16 MHz. However, the pulse duration cannot be detected by the autocorrelator device as the pulse duration recorded is 468 ns, with the SNR value of 35 dB.  相似文献

We demonstrate a diode-pumped passively cw mode-locked NdiCaGdAlO_4 laser operating at 1079 nm with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror for the first time to the best of our knowledge.The threshold pump power of the laser is 180 mW.A maximum average output power of 93 mW is obtained under the pump power of1.94 W.The pulse duration of the mode-locked pulses is 3.1 ps and the repetition rate is 157 MHz.  相似文献

提出了一种基于高掺杂硅酸盐增益光纤、输出波长为1 064nm的超短腔单频光纤激光器.该单频光纤激光器采用分布布拉格反射式腔型结构,有效腔长为2cm,其增益介质为1.1cm长的高浓度掺Yb3+光纤.通过恰当的温度控制,获得了线宽为4.8kHz的稳定单频激光输出.当注入泵浦光为378mW时,输出功率为13mW,斜效率为3.4%.在频率大于1 MHz时,测得该光纤激光器的相对噪声强度值约为-132dB/Hz.采用主振荡功率放大结构,对该单频光纤激光器的输出功率进行放大.当放大增益光纤长度选取为56cm时,得到了325mW的最大输出功率,其斜效率为52.8%.  相似文献

在Tm:LuAG全固态激光器中实现了以氧化石墨烯可饱和吸收体为锁模启动元件的瓦级被动调Q锁模运转.本实验装置以可调谐掺钛蓝宝石激光器作为泵浦源,测得Tm:LuAG固态激光器出光阈值最低为325mW,当吸收抽运功率达到3420 mW时,进入稳定的调Q锁模运行状态.当抽运功率达到8.1 W时,对应的最大输出功率为1740 mW,中心波长为2023 nm,重复频率为104.2 MHz,最大单脉冲能量为16.7 nJ,调制深度接近100%.  相似文献

We report on the efficient frequency doubling of an actively mode-locked Ti: Al2O3 laser. The laser output was in the form of pulses of 6–15 ps duration at a 240 MHz repetition rate, tunable from 737 nm to 806 nm. Using a 7 mm long Brewster cut crystal of LiIO3 we have measured conversion efficiencies of up to 42% in the form of picosecond pulses tunable from 369–403 nm. The maximum generated power in the blue was 194 mW at 381 nm.  相似文献

2 and two diode lasers as pump sources and experiments with this setup are presented. In contrast to the majority of known applications of the difference frequency mixing with solid state or gas lasers, we apply two single mode diode lasers with emission wavelengths of 690 nm and 805 nm, respectively. By fixing the emission wavelength of one diode laser and tuning the wavelength of the second laser, by changing temperature or excitation current, we can cover typically 0.87 cm-1 (FWHM) in good agreement with recently published data and theory. With an input power of 20 mW and 6 mW we achieved an output power in the nW-range. To demonstrate the capabilities of the spectrometer we scanned CO and OCS absorption lines near 2107 cm-1. From these experiments we deduce an overall signal-to-noise ratio of 1000:1 and a spectral resolution better than 30 MHz. We report >13 MHz/mW pump power efficiency in increasing the repetition rate of passive harmonic mode-locking by engineering the soliton pulse energy in Er fiber lasers incorporating carbon nanotube saturable absorber. Stable pulses with a ~5 GHz repetition rate and 40 dB of super-mode suppression are demonstrated with only ~400 mW pump power in a single-clad fiber laser.  相似文献
